🍕- What "favorites" does this character share with you? (Favorite food, color, weather, etc.)

Dew’s favorite video games are undertale and deltarune and i agree same bro. we have similar music tastes i guess. we both like dogs more than cats. we both like to draw. we’re both scared of needles. wings (yeah). we have lots of stuff in common i kinda hate the color blue though sorry buddy im with Anton with this one (green is the best color fr). uhh Dew’s favorite show when he was 12 was probably gravity falls and same. kinda said more stuff than the question asked but i don’t care 💥💥 Dew and I are very similar but a huge difference is that he hates being trapped in Anton’s lab and i want that more than anything 💥💥🐀 hey buddy can we switch places please

💩- How many of your characters have self-esteem issues and are you aware that we all enjoy your presence on the hellsite?

🦴- How does this character process death?

Dew gets very sad when anyone dies, close to him or not. it took him a long time to recover after his parents’ deaths and it was very hard for him to get through that. Dew doesn’t wanna die, but he’s not afraid of death, he knows it’s natural and happens to everyone and stuff. but he’d rather avoid it at all costs for now, try his best to keep going despite how horrible things get because he knows it’ll get better eventually, and it’ll all be worth it in the end when he’ll get to be with his friends and be happy. he doesn’t wanna die with Anton. it’s not his time yet. he doesn’t want the lab to be his grave. killing his clone destroyed him and we’ll see the effects that had on him very soon

i think before he found out he was immortal, Aspen processed death pretty much just like everyone else…. wait no that’s a lie actually. he kinda used to go into the woods and kill small animals for fun but not in the serial killer way but in the way he was pretending to be a wolf and hunt because that’s how he got his food. besides that, Aspen gets sad when people die, or tries to at least. he’s a super nice person but doesn’t get close to people very often so like people’s deaths don’t affect him as much.

after he found out he’s immortal and witnessed death literally every day, he definitely got desensitized to it and viewed it kinda as an escape from the pain idk. death is such a far away concept to him now that it’s hard for him to process it as a real thing that can happen to other people. when he eventually gets turned into a werewolf, he doesn’t really care about hurting or killing random people as a wolf. sorta like how Silas doesn’t feel bad for killing and eating humans. he’s a vampire and he’s just doing what he has to do to survive, and that’s kinda how Aspen thinks as a werewolf and justifies his actions. he would never ever even think about hurting his friends though

Anton. anton anton anton anton anton anton anton anton. we’d be best friends. sometimes i talk to myself and pretend Anton’s possessing me and talking through my body and we have back and fourth conversations like that. sometimes i get genuinely really sad and upset knowing that he’s not real and will never be real. none of you know him like i know him. i would sell my soul to that guy. i would literally do anything to be in Dew’s position and i’m not even joking.

um anyway besides that, i feel like i’d get along really well with Aspen and Dew!! it’d be so fun to hang out with them i think! also Basil :D

Writing Accessibility PSA

Please avoid using long strings of characters as line breaks in your writing - these are not screen reader/TTS friendly!

Every ‘°’ will be read as ‘degree’ - can you imagine how long it takes to read out a string of 25? Let alone more complicated combinations of characters (eg. imagine listening to TTS read out ~*~ |°| ~*~ multiple times per line break)?

A good rule of thumb is to stick with short, 2-3 character line breaks (eg. I don’t find — or *** too egregious to listen to). Your readers can tell there’s been a scene change whether you use two or twenty em-dashes, but if you use twenty, some of us might have to listen for 30 seconds to read the next scene. If you’re more concerned about aesthetics, you can insert an image of your aesthetically pleasing line break with alt text simply reading ‘line break’ for accessibility.

Don’t feel bad if this is something you’ve never thought about before - now you know better and can make your writing more accessible moving forward!

I would like to invite any other screenreader users to add their own thoughts or preferences to this post. We’re not a monolith and there’s a variety to how different softwares interact with repeating character strings and images with alt text, so there’s bound to be some conflicting opinions on what I’ve suggested above. Let’s try to make the stories we share accessible for everyone :]

"Isn't it so nice?" Whumper cooed, and Whumpee couldn't even muster the strength to nod.

Left. Right. Left. Right. It was so easy to lose themself to it. So pleasant. So comfortable.

Suddenly, they snapped out of it, and for a moment they could see the leather straps binding them to the chair, and the wicked smile of their abductor. They almost screamed for help, but...
