Lava Red Feather Blue: Book Review
Thank you to NetGalley for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review!
Overall Rating: 3/5
Plot Rating: 3/5
Character development: 3/5
Writing: 3/5
Genre: LGBTQ, Fantasy, Young Adult
Author: Molly Ringle
Personally this book was not my cup of tea. Typically I love books with fae, magic, etc. but I just didn’t take to this book very well. It felt a bit slow at times but it was a pretty good story, the plot was interesting and I loved the characters. Wasn’t my favorite book but I can definitely see other people loving it!
There was also a lot going on—almost too much. Since it was based around fae and magic I totally understand why there was so much going on but it did make stuff a little bit harder to follow.
Despite the few things that threw me off there are plenty of great sides to this story, one being the romance. It was perfect and natural. It didn’t feel rushed or overly awkward, it had a very smooth feeling and it seemed to be just the right amount throughout the story. Definitely loved that aspect!
Would I recommend this book? Yes! I would definitely recommend this book to people. I might even consider purchasing a copy for myself in the future.
Pros: Very smooth romance, likeable characters
Cons: Can be confusing at times
Overall rating: 3/5

Revenge of the Sluts: Book Review
Thank you to NetGalley for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review!
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
Plot Rating: 5/5
Character development: 3/5
Writing: 4/5
Page count: 328
Genre: YA
Author: Natalie Walton
This story is powerful, well written, and just overall very very good. I really really enjoyed reading this book, it held my attention and kept me on my toes waiting for more the entire time. Though I didn’t really like the beginning. It was a bit slow and the main character got on my nerves at first but it didn’t take long for me to warm up to her. The writing is super realistic and easy to read. I will definitely be purchasing a copy in the future!
Would I recommend this book? I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes stories about strong female characters and the hardships some girls have to go through over their bodies. It was a very empowering story.
Pros: Very realistic, well written, and well rounded characters
Cons: Ending could’ve been a little stronger
Overall rating: 4.5/5

Chess isn’t always competitive. Chess can also be… beautiful. It was the board I noticed first. It’s an entire world of just 64 squares. I feel safe in it. I can control it. I can dominate it. And it’s predictable, so if I get hurt, I only have myself to blame.          Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth Harmon in THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT (2020)

The Prince and The Thief: Book Review
Overall Rating:3/5
Plot Rating: 3/5
Character development: 3/5
Writing: 3/5
Page count: 230
Genre: Fantasy, LGBTQ
Author: P.S. Scott
This book was slow, extraordinarily slow. It held my attention and the world building was decent but the romance was bland, you could see plot twists coming from a mile away, and it really just didn’t make me want to keep reading. It has potential but I just didn’t really enjoy it that much. It was fast paced and not very detailed. On the other hand, the world it’s based in is great and very creative, I definitely loved that aspect of the story.
I also would like to point out that the story was supposed to revolve around the more magical aspects that the aristocrats possess… there were so very few mentions or descriptive uses of ‘magic’ that sometimes I forgot it was even part of the story.
Blurb: The prince and a thief, an unlikely match. In a world where only the aristocrats hold abilities to do magical things, except for Will—he’s most definitely not an aristocrat but he most definitely has the powers of one. He’s exactly what he sounds like; a thief. And he just so happens to pickpocket the prince.
Would I recommend this book? Ehh. I didn’t hate nor love this book. It was okay but I probably won't be recommending it to anyone anytime soon.
Pros: Decent plot
Cons: Tons of plot holes, some sensitive topics
Overall rating: 3/5

“I bet you could sometimes find all the mysteries of the universe in someone’s hand” —Benjamin Alire Sánez
This book made me laugh, smile, and cry all within a few hours. I sped through this book like lightning and It quickly became a favorite of mine. The only thing I didn’t like too much were the last few chapters and the ending. The end was good but definitely could’ve been better and wrapped up a little neater but I can’t see it ending in any other way. The easiest way to describe it: was perfectly imperfect.
(Side note: If you’re looking for a cute friends to lovers romance, this is perfect for you. There’s not much physical affection—almost none to be honest but it’s an amazing book!)
Plot summary: Aristotle thought his summer was going to suck, he had nothing to do and his family seems to be in distant shambles. He just wants out of his stuffy house and the public pool seemed to be a good cure for his boredom—even if he can’t swim.
This is a beautiful coming of age story about two best friends who think in beautifully complex ways.
Would I recommend this book? %100! I love this book and will continue to recommend it to EVERYONE. The ending may not be my cup of tea but this book will always have a place in my heart.
“How could I ever be ashamed of loving Dante Quintana?.”—Benjamin Alire Sánez
Pros: Very cute, quick, and easy to fall in love with
Cons: None
Overall rating: 5/5
