Infact hey, here’s some fanmade nightwings powers YOU could give to your nightwing oc in honor of the solar eclipse today

Empath—The base power given to “defective mind readers”, but those who acquire this power have the ability to sense a dragon’s emotions, and exhibit them themselves, which can cause the user to experience mood swings. Those who have stronger powers have the ability to change a dragon’s emotions by command. It is granted when an egg is exposed to a Supermoon, either from all or from one moon. They keep the teardrop marks.

Telekinesis—Often confused with animus magic. The user can influence or manipulate a physical system without physical interaction. The ability is connected to the mind of the user and must be used with effort and concentration, making it difficult to control. Only eggs exposed to a Harvest Moon can get this ability. Dragons with this also display a single white dot on their forehead, similar to a moon.

Foreboding—Very similar to foresight. The user can only predict events of something bad that will occur in the future, often given in riddles that cause further confusion. If anything, the user is often driven mad from receiving such visions, as they are said to be terrible and frightening. Dragons achieve this from a Blood Moon, their eyes bloodshot as a result.

Mind control—Also known as brainwashing, the user can alter or control another dragon’s mind. This power varies among dragons, from those being limited to only controlling one’s thoughts to others being able to manipulate one’s own conscious. Dragons with this power are considered dangerous, regardless of strength, and due to past experiences, these dragons are to be killed early. Only on a Solar Eclipse can a Nightwing receive this power, and typically hatch with four horns.

Female hivewings tend to be bigger than male hivewings

Mudwings have heavy British accents for whatever reason

Seawings feel slippery

Silkwings have looooong tongues!

Leafwings can be any color, similar to rainwings, only it depends more on genetics and family history (it’s funny how similar they are actually)

So many more Nightwing powers could and possibly do exist (as shown with fatespeaker being an empath)

The skywings have the biggest army. During the sandwing war, and during Scarlet’s reign, there was a lot of propaganda based around it

If you were to cut off a rainwing’s tail, it’d slowly regrow back like lizards… they can probably detach it on purpose to escape danger, too

Thanks to the Scorpion Den being a place without much law, sandwings are most prone to genetic flaws, mutations, and diseases

Parts of the icewing crown was made of icewing spikes

i really enjoy seeing people’s arguments and coming up with really cool solutions for the size problem in my wof size comparison post. Maybe the dragons casted a spell on the scavengers so that they’ll be significantly smaller, but it only affects 80% of them all? Maybe dragons are all different in terms of sizes? Maybe scavengers evolved backwards after the scorching?

It’s all really nice and really fun to brainstorm, go for it

In this game, you can either go solo or play as a group with one controlling the events as Starclan. These game modes are now titled “Star-Catching” and “Star-Gazing”
