i'm sure the story will ramp up as i get into the last couple chapters, but from where i am in chapter 11, i can say that i haven't enjoyed the way the main story takes a back seat. maybe i need to replay and mainline the story to see if i still feel the same, but i prefer remake's tighter narrative so far.
i've also felt frustrated with traversal and mini games to the point that, 80 hours in, i'm completely burned out. if they kept like 1/3 of the side content they have (why do we need the towers? why do we need a mini game for every story beat? WHY DOES CHOCOBO GLIDING FEEL SO BAD) it could have still been a tight, fun, packed game.
combat is insanely fun though, and queen's blood can stay too.

Though Ursula K. Le Guin's novel "The Lathe of Heaven" is regarded as a classic of science fiction, her sequels "The Band Saw of Purgatory" and "The Benchtop Drill Press of Hell" are less well known.

Playing Tears of the Kingdom and thinking about my friend who was confused when our mutual pal said it was easier to find shrines at night since they glow. Friend was confused because he puts Link to bed every evening at 9pm and has him rest til morning, regardless of where he is or what he is doing.
