        her heart doesn’t quite sink when robin tells her that   she hasn’t been in a more than friendly relationship with a girl before either, but there is a pang of… disappointment, maybe?  she’s sure that’s not the right word for it, though.  chrissy was just hoping they weren’t both going into it totally blind, technically.  but she knows they’ll figure it out together even if they had to do it all in secret.  it seemed better that way, actually.

her relationship with jason was shared with the whole world.  everybody just had to see the happy couple, how he doted on her and how she’d smile prettily while clinging to his arm.  sure, chrissy was bummed that she and robin couldn’t be so public  ( or, god forbid, public ever ), but the idea of having something so special known to just the two of them was nice.

“a new pair of best friends to the rest of the town, then?”  just another bullet added to the list of shocking things chrissy cunningham was doing with her life lately, otherwise known as the list of things her mother wanted her to have a long talk with their pastor for.  “i mean, that’s probably the safest alternative for… this, you know.”

she’s not sure if it’s excitement or panic that swirls in her stomach when robin suggests that they might not have to keep everything secret.  chrissy can feel her palms start to sweat and doesn’t dwell on it.  “hey, i really want this to work out between us, robin.”  chrissy gives her hand a gentle squeeze of reassurance.  “and you’re not a mess — and if you insist that you are, then i’m just gonna say that i like your mess,”  she hums.  “what’s your idea, though?  to make this easier?”

“yeah,” and she snorts with it-- half because it’s funny and half because, well... if she doesn’t laugh she might get all teary and shit, and no one needs that right now. “yeah exactly. the bestest,” okay now she’s sort of getting cheeky with it: but there’s so few people robin trusts to be loose with that kind of thing. and how odd that her life’s turned to former high up on the pyramid jocks for that kind of comfort, right? maybe there’s a lesson in there about pain and how it shreds through everyone at some point, no matter the distance there.

and it’s that sort of gooey comfort that transfers easily back to the woman in the front of her, turning her legs to mush. “well-- long as you like it,” she teased,

“as far as ideas go, i.” there’s a stumble where she’s feeling unsure-- but it’s pummeled in equal parts by the notion in the back of her head that chrissy deserves honesty. something robin’s sure she doesn’t get a lot of. “we could try to leave town? not like, permanently, maybe, for now,” clears her throat, “but just like. constant mini vacations? there’s places we can go that might at least like. let it slide?” she groans, “i said that really weird, i know. i just mean like... there’s safe havens somewhere, ya know? and i think we can find it.”

If the situation was not so dire, perhaps she would find his attempt of humor comical. However, as of now, her mind was elsewhere; fixed on finding his friend. “Start with placing your hands on top of mine,” she explained, allowing her own hands to extend towards him, inviting him to place them on top of hers; to give his mind to her.

“Then close your eyes and breathe with me. Then you won’t have to picture a winding road to get where you need to be.”

Something about Raven's cadence and energy does seem to transfer over, making Tyrone lower his guard and pull his shoulders down to untense. Was it a smart decision to let someone into his head like this? Most definitely-- but like. What else was he supposed to do? Let something happen to Tandy when there was something he could do about it? He needed all the help he could get-- and right now? That seemed to fall on Raven's shoulders.

And if it worked out-- he would be beyond words. If the telepath's worth her salt... he's willing to give it a shot.

"Alright," and with that, he puts his hands out, turns them over so they lay in hers. manages to take a calming breath and readies himself for whatever the next step is. He follows her instructions, not a shred of his earlier hesitance to be found as he takes another breath, and closes his eyes. He almost asks what's next-- but he decides to wait and be patient instead.
