Rin's portraits in the second beta!

If you’re just seeing this post, I datamined P5X’s (first, and now also second) beta to get the character portraits! They’re in pieces, though, so I have to reconstruct them before they’re of any use to anyone. Unfortunately, they don’t have the in-game gradient, but other than that, these should be official!

AU where Makoto and Yukari had a daughter...

I mentioned this on twitter prior, but recently, I've been in the middle of making an AU that I've been really excited to work on.

I don't have many details now, like her Persona and whatnot, but I do have basic information.

My name for her is Fuyumi Yuki, which means beautiful winter snow. And the lore I have behind that name is that she's named after Makoto's mother. Likewise, she has a younger, 8-year-old brother named Eiichiro Yuki, who is obviously named after Yukari's father.

I've decided to give her a mix of Chie and Kotone's personality. Or more specifically, she has the attitude of a "tomboy" and "girl boss."

I, currently have some Personas on the table. I have an idea for her ultimate Persona but not her base Persona. As for how she'll get them is still in the works but I think I got a good idea of how it'll work.

Other than that, I only have that little information regarding her. I want to make her relationship with Makoto Jotaro and Jolyne coded since the dynamic can create a little angst and tension.

Also, something I thought of recently, since this AU is a continuation of a past AU I had with Elizabeth, she'll sort of act like a godmother to Fuyumi.

I will think of some more details for her soon, but stay tuned guys, I really love this AU in my head c:

I wish the Shadow Operatives were handled differently than the joke it was in P4AU.

When I first heard about the Shadow Operatives in P4 Arena, I thought it was some "cool and flashy" new organization in the Persona universe aimed at just ridding the world of Shadows or whatnot. Upon further inspection, however, it looked as if this whole organization was just a big mess and severely understaffed since only two active members were Persona users.

When the Shadow Operatives started, their founding members were Akihiko and Aigis, with Mitsuru as the leader. However, Akihiko had the urge to revert from his character development in Persona 3 to exile himself to South America, becoming a protein addict and fighting bears for two years, eventually returning to help in Persona 4 Arena. That left the only two Persona members active in Shadow Operatives, Mitsuru and Aigis.

I find it highly understaffed for an organization that people depend on, especially since many Persona-related situations lead to the fall of humanity if left untreated.

And it definitely showed in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, when Mitsuru, Akihiko, Fuuka, and Aigis were captured by Sho. Losing all the Persona members that could actually help out. Fortunately, the power of writing allowed them to call the reserve members over to help out. Which I find to be really, really messy to organize. I get that most Persona-related activity is pretty small in between, but not all the time are you going to be able to call a reserve member over for help and expect them to get picked up by a maid that can make weapons meant to fight against Shadows while simultaneously flying a helicopter into the TV World shooting Shadows down with missiles.

In all fairness, Persona is not a franchise meant for realism due to the supernatural events in the game, but it displays a degree of realism in the life sim aspect. Regardless, this organization is rich in concept but needs to improve in execution.
