They shuffle their paws nervously at girl's angry behavior. They have encountered this emotion before. This probably means that this girl doesn't like it so much that it makes her so so so angry.

They also know this emotion leads to... Not happy endings. Is this conversation going to end up like these...? But this girl didn't seem aggressive at all!

"... What is this 'alcohol' anyways?"

They ask, hoping to cool things down a bit.
