Why 14 days? Why that specific number? Is there a reason or is it just to cap the length of the game?

✦゜ANSWERED: Ultimately it was to pay homage to the original title for the 2017 version of the game, but the number kept appearing throughout the 2022 version so I took it as a sign ghhsgsj

Like... Ren's hair clips are the roman numerals for 14, you can get 14 different endings (if you take all the character endings and branching paths into consideration), there were originally going to be 14 characters, it took me roughly 2 weeks (14 days) to make the original 2017 version, and I conveniently had 14 days planned for the 2022 version (the 2017 version only had 8 chapters in total, but the in-game duration was still 14 days. I just split it all up to avoid long-winded chapters lmao).

You also get a bit more than just 14 days with Ren, however it'll mainly be in the form of additional flashback scenes and epilogues to tie the entire storyline together.

And also because if I ever make a woohoo DLC for the game (where you get to woohoo Ren every single Day), then "14 Nights With You" would be really funny for the title lmao
