One of my friends irl is really into it and keeps talking about the characters and I want to take an interest in her hyperfixations but I don't really know anything about it except that she has a huge crush on guy called Renji and another called Urahara I think his name is?

Maybe I'm incredibly biased (bc tis my fav anime franchise still XD) but I would say yes it's worth watching lmao

It's a pretty lengthy show and has a decent chunk of filler and a few movies which ik bothers some of my own friends but I don't really mind it. Also having a crush on renji and urahara is incredibly based of your friend (especially urahara in my humble opinion--he's so scrungly wunkly 💀💀💀)

I'm not sure what details to delve into to explain since tbh I don't think iI've ever had to explain why someone should watch beyond "just trust me bro--it's swaggy" but if there's any specific questions you have, I can answer XD (I have yet to watch the new tybw arc episodes and the movies so my only knowledge of those are internet spoilers//watched the regular seasons and read most of the manga though)
