Rainy days | Henrik

kiss prompt (16): one person pouting, only to have it removed by a kiss from the other person.

i’m a simp for one man.

The day had been planned perfectly. For once, the two of you had the same day free and were determined to take advantage of it. Henrik had spilled all his plans, laying out every intricate detail as he prepped a picnic for the two of you to share.

But the clouds seemed to have other plans. Right as he finished his preparations, the clouds burst into angry drops of water. It began to pour down, large rain drops thudding against the roof as thunder tumbled behind. Henrik glared out the window with slumped shoulders, the pout on his lips never leaving as the rain poured down harder. And more to his dismay, you had left his side as he sulked. He knew that he should still make the best of the day, but being outside on the perfect date he had planned was all that was in his books.

“Grumpy.” He heard the low murmur as you appeared in his vision, staring down at his slumped figure on the couch. The pout never left his lips as he reach out for you, luring you into his side. “It’s just rain, you love rain.” You cooed, finger tracing gingerly over his bottom lip. His brows furrowed, lips puckering to place a gentle kiss on your fingertips, before the pout reappeared on his face.

“Yeah, but it ruined the day.”

A bright grin fell on your lips as you jumped up, tilting his chin up as you stood in front of him. You pressed several sweet kisses to his lips and trailing up his cheeks, his arms circling your waist as he let out a laugh. Staring down at him, you sealed one final kiss to his lips, carding your fingers into his hair as you held his jaw. You felt the smile pull onto his lips, wiping away his previous deep seated scowl.

“Follow me.” You whispered to him, lips brushing past his as you spoke.

His fingers locked with yours as you led him through the house and out the back door; his eyes lit up as you stepped onto the porch. Twinkling lights, fort walls made entirely of blankets, and layers of pillows all laid out. His picnic basket sat in the midst of it all, as well as a bottle of wine and two glasses.

“You wanna watch the rain with me?”
