This journey of being an artist is though. It was was never, is not, and will never be easy. It does seem to be getting more and more challenging though. Technology and advancement has opened up new doors of possibility, and that's a positive. On the other side of the coin, cost of living has become absolutely absurd, and completely unmanageable for so many, particularly those in the arts. As times get tough, we need more hope. We need more soul. We need more art. Sadly, when times get tough, the people pushed down are the artists, because we are the first thing most people cut when times get tough. We are viewed as a non-essential, though we are so essential, for what is life without art? Sometimes that worries me, that the artists will be buried in the dust. It is these same times of trouble that remind me though, that it's the artists that find the creative solutions to rise from the ashes.
All of my work is available and I'll be happy to help you with that art that feeds your soul. I have art for homes and for businesses. I also license my art for products and labels. If you aren't looking for art, maybe you know someone that is 😊

"Light Of The Shadow Caster" is one of my larger works, and the orientation can be changed. I absolutely love working large, and find it so liberating. It's not nearly as terrifying as some think. I'm going to have to move a few big pieces before I can work large again though. These wall fillers add up fast. If you're looking for art for your home or office, I would love to help you 😁

Today marks the 15 year anniversary of the assault and battery that gave birth to Acrylic Alchemy. I just added a new blog post sharing some thoughts about the incident, and how I feel today, 15 year later.
We can't always control what happens to us, but what we can control is what we choose to do with it. Rather than let a bad situation or isolated incident control me, I decided to make it work for me. I decided to make something bad the basis of years of good that would follow. That is what Acrylic Alchemy is all about. It's about taking your pain and transmuting it into something beautiful, not just for yourself, but everyone. There are people out there that go through bad experiences every single day. There is someone going through one today. There is someone that will go through one tomorrow. By taking these terrible experiences and using them for growth, we can take away their power over us. We may never forget. They may still hurt. They may still resurface some days...but we can make sure that they are resurfacing as beautiful flowers while we use the shit to fertilize them.
These are some of my Acrylic Alchemy icons. Several are currently on exhibit at Adelman Fine Art.

Today marks the 15 year anniversary of the official birth of Acrylic Alchemy. On this day 15 years ago, I experienced the assault and battery that changed my trajectory in life. The tattoo on my inner arm, my signature icon, is what I saw flashing through my head after that concussion. When life beats you down, you can lay there and die, or you can choose to fight back until your last breath.
You can read more about this story on my blog.

I love to balance organic and inorganic. I love to balance construction and deconstruction. I love to balance chaos and control. This is "But How Could You Judge Me If I Never Really Existed" from "The Up-Side Of Down Collection." The central element of this painting was created utilizing a negative technique, meaning that it was only formed by that which surrounds it. In that case, does it really exist?
This piece is available, and I have canvas prints of it for you as well. Take a look and feed an artist today 😁
