my 2024 spring color palette
MERRY CHRISTMAS!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! Let's start planning for our hottest spring selves. I really love "typical" spring colors so pastels, oranges, pinks, greens, yellows, etc. Basically the colors of spring flowers and the fresh green grass after the crazy amount of snow and rain. Spring colors are so amazing and although trends always change we should always find a way to keep color and not continuously follow muted trends.
The outfits on here are a bit of a mix up since the weather on the East coast of the USA is so unpredictable.
the vibes: north east USA

Endorse my nationstates country!!
Tumblr media
Population: 131 million
Currency: Dollar
National Animal: Lion
Leading cause of death: Old Age (93.3%)
Civil Rights: Some//Economy: Thriving//Political Freedom: Very Good
The Republic of United Northern Eslos is a very large, efficient nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, frequent executions, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed population of 131 million United Northern Eslosians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.
The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. The average income tax rate is 32.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.
The thriving United Northern Eslosian economy, worth 9.91 trillion dollars a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, and Woodchip Exports. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 75,664 dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.
The subway is dead quiet in early afternoons, the ruling party has a devil of a time keeping order in the ranks, children grow up long before the paperwork for their lemonade stands can be sorted out, and most households' childcare costs are higher than their mortgage payments. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. United Northern Eslos's national animal is the lion, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
United Northern Eslos is ranked 74,118th in the world and 54th in Sophia for Highest Average Incomes, with 75,664.82 Standard Monetary Units.

f1 23 - op ed. season debrief
this past weekend my favorite sport of all time concluded for the season. next season will be my first race that I travel to!! F1 is soo expensive for fans that it's super hard to go to a race. ESPECIALLY!! If you're not in Europe. Europe has so many races that are quite close to most europeans that some go to almost every european race :( I live in the US and I'm about 5 hours away from the closest one to me. It is literally in another country, Canada, bc ALL OF THE F1 US races are in the southern united states!!! It's a crime for the northern regions :(((
this year in F1 has been so so so crazy and also so so so boring. I LOVE racing and every race has had so much anticipation, nervousness, and general racing during the race, however, with red bull the lead they extend with Max makes the races where he leads by 5+ seconds a bit boring. Max receiving first almost every race makes first a "false spot." If you get what I mean. I am also not saying I am not proud of Max, BECAUSE I AM. Max is such an amazing driver that deserves his THIRD championship win. It just was such a stagnant year with all of his wins. Some drivers were able to show their potential but with all of the cost caps and weird FIA calls, a lot of the drivers couldn't perform to their top potential.
BUT ANYWAYS, I am so excited for next season. I think this year really showed teams like McLaren, Williams, and Alpha Tauri that development works and it pays off with good drivers and constant tuning. McLaren had such a great season compared to my favorite team, Ferrari lmaooo. I am so so so proud of the great drivers that were able to show off their racing in such an amazing way compared to years prior. Especially with Mclaren and Williams who have been effectively laughed at for so long. Maybe next year HAAS and Aston Martin can show better development, and maybe hopefully better drivers someday (next season or in two seasons from now).
Can't wait for F1 '24!!

Books I Want (book inspo)
Books I like reading: psychology, gothic horror, classics, and biographies. If you like any of these lmk! I have read from some of the authors but not every book is great!
Tumblr media
BLURB: Trauma is a fact of life. Veterans and their families deal with the painful aftermath of combat; one in five Americans has been molested; one in four grew up with alcoholics; one in three couples have engaged in physical violence. Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, one of the world’s foremost experts on trauma, has spent over three decades working with survivors. In The Body Keeps the Score, he uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust. He explores innovative treatments—from neurofeedback and meditation to sports, drama, and yoga—that offer new paths to recovery by activating the brain’s natural neuroplasticity. Based on Dr. van der Kolk’s own research and that of other leading specialists, The Body Keeps the Score exposes the tremendous power of our relationships both to hurt and to heal—and offers new hope for reclaiming lives.

Blurb: The hypnotic, deeply seductive novels of Anne Rice have captivated millions of fans around the world. It all began a quarter of a century ago with Interview with the Vampire. Now, in one chilling volume, here are the first three classic novels of The Vampire Chronicles. In Interview with the Vampire, witness the confessions of a vampire. A novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force, it is a story of danger and flight, love and loss, suspense and resolution, and the extraordinary power of the senses. The Vampire Lestat focuses on Lestat, who was once an aristocrat from pre-revolutionary France, but now a rock star in the decadent 1980s. Lestat rushes through the centuries seeking to fathom the mystery of his existence. His is a mesmerizing story–passionate and thrilling. In Queen of the Damned, Akasha, the Queen of the Damned, has risen from a 6000-year sleep to let loose the powers of the night. She has a marvelously devious plan to “save” mankind–in this vivid novel of the erotic, electrifying world of the undead.

Blurb: An unnamed narrator approaches the house of Usher on a "dull, dark, and soundless day." This house-the estate of his boyhood friend, Roderick Usher-is gloomy and mysterious. The narrator observes that the house seems to have absorbed an evil and diseased atmosphere from the decaying trees and murky ponds around it. He notes that although the house is decaying in places-individual stones are disintegrating, for example-the structure itself is fairly solid. There is only a small crack from the roof to the ground in the front of the building. He has come to the house because his friend Roderick sent him a letter earnestly requesting his company. Roderick wrote that he was feeling physically and emotionally ill, so the narrator is rushing to his assistance. The narrator mentions that the Usher family, though an ancient clan, has never flourished. Only one member of the Usher family has survived from generation to generation, thereby forming a direct line of descent without any outside branches. The Usher family has become so identified with its estate that the peasantry confuses the inhabitants with their home.

Blurb: Aesop's Fables features more than 200 fables, specially selected for young readers and beautifully illustrated with engravings and color plates by Arthur Rackham, Walter Crane, and Ernest Griset. It includes all of the classic fables whose titles and morals have become part of our common cultural vocabulary, among them "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," "The Tortoise and the Hare," "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse," "The Dog in the Manger," and "The Fox and the Grapes." Part fairy tale, part fantasy story, part parable with a lesson to impart, each of these fables is a polished gem of storytelling craft whose luster never dulls. Aesop's Fables is one of Barnes & Noble's Collectible Editions classics. Each volume features authoritative texts by the world's greatest authors in an exquisitely designed foil-stamped binding, with distinctive gilt edging and an attractive ribbon bookmark. Decorative, durable, and collectible, these books offer hours of pleasure to readers young and old and are an indispensable cornerstone for any home library.
Tumblr media
Blurb: James Joyce’s Dubliners is a vivid and unflinching portrait of “dear dirty Dublin” at the turn of the twentieth century. These fifteen stories, including such unforgettable ones as “Araby,” “Grace,” and “The Dead,” delve into the heart of the city of Joyce’s birth, capturing the cadences of Dubliners’ speech and portraying with an almost brute realism their outer and inner lives. Dubliners is Joyce at his most accessible and most profound, and this edition is the definitive text, authorized by the Joyce estate and collated from all known proofs, manuscripts, and impressions to reflect the author’s original wishes.
Tumblr media
Blurb: The world’s foremost designer in Formula One, Adrian Newey OBE is arguably one of Britain’s greatest engineers and this is his fascinating, powerful memoir. How to Build a Car explores the story of Adrian’s unrivalled 35-year career in Formula One through the prism of the cars he has designed, the drivers he has worked alongside and the races in which he’s been involved.

my 2024 winter color palette
it's not quite winter yet so let's start to plan out winter outfits and palette so we don't rush into bad outfits. Northern America (east coast baddies) tends to dress in really dull and plain colors, sometimes with pops of color. The last three colors are colors that I am trying to keep in rotation during winter so I do not end up in completely dull and bland outfits. The other 12 colors are colors I already have in my rotation.
the vibes: east coast big city
