Hi everyone,

Thank you very much for all your support throughout these two plus years that we have been around. My co-admin has been MIA for more than half a year and after I’ve started working, I haven’t really managed to find time to do scanlation stuff and manage the group, so it is with a sad heart that I’m making this announcement that the group will be shut down. The silver lining is that Crystalynn (who is part of the group) of Fujoshi Bitches (FB) has very generously agreed to take over a large majority of ongoing projects, aside from selected pairings or stuff that has been lost with my co-admin. I will attempt to complete the ones that she won’t be taking over with some help. Regarding our future projects, we will definitely be dropping some, but FB will be picking up a significant number of them (most probably KuroBasu, SnK, Haikyuu!!), so if there is anything you’d like to see scanlated, please do join them to help out. Of course, working on such a large number of projects will take some time, since FB have their own ongoing manga projects, so please understand you might not see some projects until a long, long time later.

To all previous and current staff (since the group chat doesn’t seem to be working): Thank you very much for being part of BDA and for all your contributions no matter how short or long you’ve been here. I’m very grateful for all your support and hard work and I’d like to wish you all the best.

To all raw providers: Thank you very much for all your support. If we end up dropping projects using your raws, we will inform you as soon as possible, otherwise please assume we/FB will be getting them out when we can.

I should have responded to all outstanding retranslation requests and updated the website with the relevant information already. I know I still have yet to get back to certain people, but I will try to get back to you as soon as possible, or within the week, or by next week at latest while I figure out certain things. The website will continue to run and serve as an archive as long as our host doesn’t take it down. (My co-admin was in charge of the hosting so I have no idea what the terms are.) All our releases have been uploaded to our online reader, so please check there if the download links aren’t working any more. Please don’t overload the bandwidth by overusing the reader since I won’t be able to prevent the website from being taken down if it exceeds the bandwidth for the month. I will be reblogging the releases that FB completes here when I can, and might post minor updates here as well. Only my co-admin has access to the group email so unfortunately I haven’t been able to reply to anything directed there. Please direct any questions here (messages, and not asks please) and I’ll try to get back to you when possible.

Once again, thank you very much for all your support all this time. Hope everyone will be able to read and enjoy doujin elsewhere in the future~

Aside from our Xmas release (which is our present to you guys), we’ve also got a present ourselves (I guess it’s indirectly a present to you guys too? XD) from a very generous and amazing raw provider! Yep! We’ve got the raws for the new Gusari books (as shown above) and have been promised scans for her new anthology that will be released at Winter Comiket in a few days. (it contains some extras from her first six books that have not been previously released.) =) 

We’ll be starting on them right after New Year! And we’ve also added a few TouRabu books to our (crazily long) future list, mainly because we’ve also got raws for Gusari’s TouRabu doujin~ We’re definitely interested in more and we know raw providers who can share more with us, but we’re understaffed, so if you’d like to help us out and share scanlated doujin with more people, please do check out our recruitment page! We’re recruiting for all posts except English Proofreaders. Stay tuned for our New Year release~

*bows* I’m very sorry for not being able to release on Thanksgiving as promised earlier, since RL basically swallowed me whole until more recently where I’ve found time to do some stuff. Jin has been busy too and his laptop just died so he can’t do anything. The good news is, we have some very hardworking staff so there will be a Christmas release!! (Although I still haven’t managed to finished the one that was planned for Halloween yet. XD) It’ll be out later since I need to put the finishing touches on them, and hopefully there will be a New Year release too… Stay tuned~
