Rainy days and my mood is low. I'm exhausted to my bones, really tired. I'm running on caffeine, sugar, and painkillers. This is definitely not healthy and I hope things will change soon. At least I know that in a few weeks it's all over but the end seems far away.

I am in the middle of working on a take home stat exam, mourning the content that could have been. I made myself an iced americano and now it’s time for me to lock in (I am locked out LOL).

As I enter April (sometimes called Hell Month), I try to treat small moments with greater attention.

This latte was SO good. The enviornment in the coffee shop was perfect for a productive session. I laughed and smiled today. I saw a bumble bee for the first time in months. People were outside with each other. I got a good amount of work done. I got to help someone twice today.

Finals is a hard time, but mindfulness really does help.

Interrupting my hiatus to say I am alive and well! Currently working on my last statistics assignment and an essay on Le Spleen de Paris. I can’t wait to finish all my uni bits so that I could peacefully fly off to Florence for a few weeks to do my painting with ancient techniques course 🎨🌷

finals countdown: 4 days

today was the last day of covering new material before finals! i've finished all of my "normal" homework for the term, so now it's just a few more days of intense studying and then i'm done. in some ways this is my favorite part of the term - i get to study in my own way, on my own schedule, and then show off all the things i've learned at the end of it.

26.02.2024 // The semester has started and I am under a mountain of readings already (which is exactly what I had signed up for). Trying to make pretty notes when I have the energy and time for it.

There has been 7896389 admin things to do and I'm still fighting off jetlag. Nevertheless, I have managed to find some time to explore the city. It feels wonderful to be in an urban space that has so much green and plenty of public spaces.

Considering my lingering fatigue I got quite a bit of work done during the day, and now I am trying to catch up with my Czech homework. I am dreaming of my upcoming trip to the Netherlands at the end of the month and of soon getting to know someone for whom I don't have time at the moment.
