⭐︎ Happy New Year! ⭐︎

I wish I would’ve drawn something or at least have a comparison of my art over the past year, but due to just a lot of things going on with my life and myself I just wasn’t able to. ;o;

But I didn’t want to leave 2016 without saying something at least. 2016 was such a crazy year for me- there were just so many changes like college and family problems that made the year not the best. Even the stuff that was going on outside of my personal life wasn’t great either. And the stress. Oh god, the stress. Worries about how to support myself financially now that I’m in college, the fear of not doing good in school, and especially the fear of the future. It was difficult leaving home behind especially since I have anxiety and depression, and I was not sure how I was going to deal with my mental health away from home and my mom, who had left the country as soon as I moved out to visit family for a few months.

I realize now though, that all my struggles during the first semester of college and being away from home and being on my own has only made me stronger for the things to come in 2017. I learned how to juggle my mental health with school work and managed to complete the semester without having to skip a day! There were still nights though, where the stress of the day would force me to lie wide awake in my bed and think about quitting because the pressure was too much for me that day, or just clutching my polar bear (a literal godsend from Ikea, his name is Victor!) in terror with the thoughts of what will happen to me in the future.

Despite that, I survived 2016. I’m still growing as an person and an artist. I am learning new things that I would have never known if I hadn’t pursued art school, and I am being pushed farther than I had ever dreamed of. I’m growing, and it’s exciting! I’m having moments where I fall in love with life and art again and it is truly the happiest moments I can experience.

Even though 2016 wasn’t the best year, I’m jumping into 2017 with the thought that I am still going to be okay and that I am going to continue to grow.

And with that thought, good riddance 2016 and here’s to hoping that 2017 will be better! Have a great New Year’s Eve everyone 👌

I’ve been struggling with some art block these past few months and often lacked the motivation to draw in my sketcbook, but luckily I’ve gotten better. Anatomy practice with fanart of your faves really helps, and I’m surprised I haven’t drawn more of the Haikyuu!! Boys. I think that’s going to change…

The first picture is of @egggsthetic ’s lovely OC Horus, (who is amazing and wonderful and so so gorgeous omfg) and I happened to use a reference for him. I’ll be sure to post the link when I get on my laptop next!

The second and third consists of my lovely Nekoma boys, Lev, Kenma and Kuro. v.v

Hello my friends! I just wanted to apologize for the lack of updates. I’ve been very stressed out lately about my college choice, my future, and family problems, so I haven’t had the time to really sit down and draw especially since I have work and I’m trying to get my license.

Hopefully since there will be a snowstorm Monday (and I have off of school!) I can finish up a W.I.P I have and maybe even post something from my sketchbook! So until then! v.v

One of my favorite things about the first one though is how realistic and in-depth it is!

Sneak peek of a piece I am working on. Could choose an eye color for Trojin (not Trojan, I know it’s spelled different) until I talked with my friend @dreamysart. We chose his dark red eye 😊
