HIIIIIIII its always so amazing to see ur zecret santa art omg. had a lot to say in the tags but but but wanna emphasize that i am so serious when i say id LOVE to hear whatever you want to talk about with the kurashiki-tenmyoui family they are my beloveds

OMGGGG I'M SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU ENJOY MY ART AND YOUR LOVELY TAGS LEFT ME WITH A HUGE DUMB SMILE THIS MORNING! I often feel like my art and the verbose descriptions are kinda useless, especially considering it's traditional and pretty niche (and also the fact that I don't really post anymore, lol), so your kind words make it worth to keep going! ❤

And yes! I would love to talk about them sometime soon! I've been thinking about compiling all of my ZE art and writing together, plus adding some new ones (like the individual info on Junpei and Akane's twins, Rei and Nova) like in a PDF or something. If you would enjoy that as well, I will make sure to make it an active project sooner rather than later!

And yes, Kurashiki-Tenmyoujis and Klims will be my beloveds no matter what, hehe! OTPs for life! 😁

Hello, @handsometimr ! 'Tis I, Juricha, your Zecret Santa this year and I bring to you some gifts and Christmas cheer!

Prompt 1: Anything Akane/Junpei, bonus if they adopted a baby Quark post ZTD and uncle Aoi shows up.

This one was the hardest to draw because I wanted it to as cute and cozy as possible, but couldn't for the life of me think of a proper way to do so. Christmas Eve. The tree and decorations are all put up, Junpei is finishing up the preparations, and Akane is trying to put the kids — their twins, Rei and Nova, and adopted little Quark —  to sleep. But they are all too excited, because they know that Santa is coming tonight. So the only thing to do is to snuggle together in a big armchair and tell them some magical stories. After they fall asleep, Junpei finds this idyllic scene and decides to not disturb them, covers them up with a blanket and kisses them all goodnight, his heart sewling with love and joy. And who is that at the door?..

Prompt 2: The first Christmas Sigma/Diana spent together in Rhizome-9. My heart will shatter even more if Sigma's first Christmas without Diana is touched upon. But for Christmas cheer there's always Sigma/Diana's first Christmas together post ZTD, with Phi! I picked the more cheerful version this time, so I hope it's okay! I did my best to touch upon the opther timelines a bit, though! 

Phi visits Sigma and Diana on Christmas and finds out that they are now engaged! They spend a nice evening together. But if one looks closely, one can see the sinister reflections of many a horrible end — and sometimes with some happiness found — they might have met sometime, somewhere. Thank goodness they could find a happy ending to their story! Prompt 3: Anything with Maria, any depiction is cool w me! We need more of Carlos' sister. I drew a festive portrait of Maria, because we never see her in-game. I kinda got inspired by Maria Robotnik, with all the terminal illness and somebody trying to save the poor girls and screaming "Maria!" stuff.  

And I now kind of headcanon her to be a fellow Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 enjoyer, watchnig Carlos play for her. After she was cured, she went to Kurashikis' wedding together with her brother and made friends with Akane and the others. She got so inspired that she roped Carlos into studying Japanese. Akane and Junpei are proud of her. I think the pearls and the purple-pink colors suit her.

All three artworks were done with a new technique I picked up recently — buying alcohol ink and splattering it across the page, hoping it would not go somewhere I do not want it to go. Then coloring the pictrues with the alcohol markers proper, then adding a bit of ink, acrylic markers and pencil (I really like the Cretacolor pencil that I used for outilining Maria, I think it goes well with the lighter colors and not as overbearing as the darker liners) and editing them a bit after scanning. This year was a rather busy one for me, and I didn't draw much (plus was sick through most of December), so I feel like I'm out of shape. I do hope that you — and everyone else — like the end results! Also, I cannot believe that I've been participating in ZEcret Santa for five consecutive years!, since 2019! Thank you for having me on board for so many years!

Notes on piece #1:

This one was possibly the hardest to work around, since there is a pretty small chronological window where they would be able to spend some quality time together, so I’m sorry if this isn’t exactly “growing up”. I knew I had to include Akane though, since she was such an influential figure in K(yle)’s life. I imagine that all three of them would enjoy spending the time in the Biotope Garden. Akane would teach them a lot of things, read aloud or tell stories about her life. She was probably telling them about the meaning of different flowers and of love, and that would inspire Luna to make those flower wreaths for everyone (that one she’s making is for Sigma) while Akane would take a nap on K’s shoulder - she’s just an old woman, after all. Considering the calla lily’s symbolism, I’d say it is rather fitting for the place - purity, faithfulness, death. I tried to make it sweet and a bit melancholic. Materials used: watercolors, watercolor pencils, Faber-Castell Pitt pens.

Notes on piece #2:

This one really stuck with me, because I love those two and that timeline still gives me the feels. At first, I’d wanted to make it into just a makeshift wedding. Then - bam! - I remembered the famous painting by Gustav Klimt, “The Kiss”. Thus, this one artwork was born. The story is that Sigma wanted to make something to cheer Diana up after they find out that she is expecting, and to prove his love to her, so at least if something happens, they would be together. And so he secretly prepared all those elements and clothes and rings (he’s so skilled on tech stuff - and most likely chemistry as well - that it wouldn’t be a problem at all to do even with scarce supplies. My headcanon is that he would also be good at sewing and such, with his fine motor skills). The environment is the mix of the Healing Room elements and also that official artwork where Diana is holding a skull and a bouquet of daisies. You can tell that I’ve got just a little bit carried away, lol. I’ve specifically left it up to the viewer’s interpretation, so it could be both happy and angsty at the same time. Remember: Memento mori if the nineth lion ate the sun. Materials used: gouache, Faber-Castell Pitt pens, Sakura Pen-Touch gold marker.

Notes on piece #3:

This was the first out of the three I’d finished actually. I didn’t want to repeat myself, so I’ve made them don the traditional Japanese kimonos and make Carlos go and visit Kurashiki family in Japan instead. Uchikoshi did say that Akane is an ideal Japanese woman, after all, and she certainly lives up to the title here, hehe. Guess who got drunk and is about to get an earful from his sis because of  photobombing: “It wasn’t THAT finger!”. Carlos is very excited to be celebrating the holidays with the crew (Maria is the one taking the photo), and Junpei is just very proud of his wife and children (Rei is holding a temari ball and Quark a kagami mochi. Nova is just there being cute) . I aimed for a very light-hearted vibe here. Materials used: alcohol markers, pigment liner, Uni Posca pen, Sakura Pen-Touch gold marker and several types of washi tape (which were a major headache to work with, and I had to use tracing paper to stick them on and then cut them out. I hope it was worth it).

Due to several reasons, I will not be using Instagamfrom now on, so you may consider my account to be abandoned/in an indefinite hiatus from now on.

Another endangered site is Twitter, so I will refrain from actively using it for an uncertain period of time. I am still not sure whether to keep up any of my posts on these two sites.

deviantArt is safe for now, though it may get restricted in the future as well (it has a history of being blocked in my country).

The only social media that are completely unaffected so far is Tumblr and Pixiv.

I am also looking for ways of portfolio creation and branching out into translating work independently (i. e. without risks of being scammed out of my labor simply by the fact of living in a certain country), but have not had any luck so far.

I will keep you posted if anything changes.

To keep my art safe and to keep expressing my creativity without losing any contacts with my friends and those who are interested in my work, I have found several new ventures to move on to – see below.

Due to 2021-2022 being my graduation year, I am absolutely swamped with work, and several art projects that I had picked up before that as well. Not to mention everything that goes on right now. I am mentally drained, confused and scared. I am honestly afraid of not being perfect, not being up to par with some lofty standards, of being looked down upon simply because of something I have no control over.

But if you enjoy my art and find me a worthy human being, and do not mind seeing more of that less-than perfect art… Then I will keep on creating and will do my best to make the world around me and around those who look at my work better – even if just a little, because every baby step matters in the long run.

Thank you for supporting me during all those years, everyone. It is about time to turn over a new leaf. I await those who are ready to turn it over together with me on the pages I have listed above. Take care and have a nice day!

This had been sitting in my to-do list for well over a year and now it's finally done! I love both Atlus and Vanillaware and I think Lavenza and Alice would quickly become friends if given a chance (not to mention the similar color scheme AND cats). Imagine them just hanging out together with their cats, Morgana and Socrates, with Alice showing her favourite books about valkyries, fairies, knights and the like and Lavenza showing her a Persona compendium or some other grimoire... But wait... I think another Alice wants to hang out with them (or die for her?), but I'm sure they will just enjoy the books together! And I hope that you will enjoy my work as well!
