thinkin’ about what katsuki said here:

despite the fact that he thought about “sentimental shit” a lot during the final war, he isn’t being hypocritical when he says this to izuku. this is actually a huge example of how well katsuki knows izuku.

katsuki knows how (recklessly) selfless izuku is and how much of a bleeding heart he has. he also knows how irrational izuku can act when he’s “thinking that sentimental shit.”

katsuki’s words above aren’t coming from a place of mutual understanding. he stays surprisingly calm and regulated when thinking about that sentimental shit. here’s him facing off against history’s worst villain yet thinking about his past with izuku.

this isn’t “getting distracted by in battle will make you lose.” that’s just a general piece of advice. this is “i know that you tend to lose control of yourself when you’re emotional. try not to think about your trauma, or you’ll die.”

katsuki knows these things about izuku and gave him genuine advice that pertains specifically to him. through katsuki’s eyes? that’s love.

Do you realize he's already traumatized with this, imagine seeing him dead?!?!

The manga was quite a reaction, but damn, the anime will add the music, the tears, the whole action....god, i can't wait.

People saying we can't use this as BKDK proof because it's filler, but they like to use their filler scenes to say their pairing had been set up since the beginning is hilarious!! 😭 Yeah, I'm not ready to see Izuku finding Kacchan's body animated! 😭🥺

This is so funny, but the only way this pairing is happening this far in the story is if Hori makes a NaruHina move, sorry not sorry. 😒

Is it just me or did blackwhip started to get unstable the closer Katsuki got to Izuku due to Izuku being traumatized?

Like look at blackwhip and notice the closer Katsuki got the more it starts to look like it’s more unstable and Izuku doesn’t have that much control

And it gets worse since I mean just look how close Katsuki got to Izuku almost near his hand/fist

Izuku worked hard and perfected blackwhip so it should be stable and easy for Izuku to handle especially since we see it. Look at these two shots and notice how straight and in line blackwhip is. The first shot being new and we get to see blackwhip come out of the glove like always and it’s straight. But even without the glove we see blackwhip in a straight line coming out of Izuku’s arm

Not only that but notice how the lines from blackwhip go from a thin line to a wider line the closer Katsuki got

If controlling his heart weighs in a big factor and Izuku was starting to panic his heart was slowly starting to become unstable and I wouldn’t be surprised if Izuku’s heart started to race and pick up speed causing blackwhip to slow start going haywire

What the hell!? I wake up and see this!!?

Izuku is traumatized by seeing Katsuki coming towards him because of the first war. He views blackwhip’s tendrils as AFO red and black tendrils and

Izuku can’t use blackwhip on/towards Katsuki because it scares him to death. He’s pausing mid fight, he’s gettting distracted because he remembers Katsuki’s getting hurt due to his actions.

Izuku would never lay a single finger in that way towards Katsuki. Because Izuku genuinely can not live in a world without Katsuki. This is Izuku’s literal face, thanks to trauma, that he can’t live without Katsuki. Even though it’s just training between them two knowing that neither one of them will get hurt Izuku just can’t bring himself to do anything that could cause 100% harm towards Katsuki

And this trauma is so bad because for Katsuki to ask “What’s distracting you?” is him realizing that something is definitely wrong with Izuku. Katsuki continues talking but right in this scene Izuku isn’t even paying attention to what Katsuki is saying because all Izuku is thinking about is the memory of Katsuki getting stabbed

Izuku’s eyes literally scream ‘You are the one distracting me.’ Izuku doesn’t look upset nor annoyed to himself if anything he looks sadden and full of fear.

Nobuhiko really gave it his all during the Deku vs Kacchan episode huh. Like, aside from the screaming, he has this taunting, venomous inflection in some of the lines. And that one time he said "De~ku" was kinda chilling. I was kinda convinced Katsuki is a psycho or a sadist at one point because of how he talked during that episode... thank goodness he'll get his redemption juice later gosh

Meanwhile, Yamashita does Izuku all the justice the boy deserves. How can he make the green boy sound soft and boyish and brave and sharp all at the same time and ah idk these voice actors are damn talented
