<GET AWAY FROM HER!>
CW: this side story may be a bit triggering for some so reader discretion is advised.
Now, I have an ANGSTY story for you all! For context Rain is visiting Aâkans clan in the mountains and is attacked by one of his clan memebers (her name is Kaâen and sheâs Skatyariâs mother. And for those who donât know Skatyari is Keâtxos fiancĂ©e.) with that being said ON WITH THE STORY!
I sat on the cliffside waiting for Aâkan to grab something to drink. We were going to watch the the final eclipse and see the day turn to night. Kind of like watching the sunset back on earth but way better in my opinion. The planets were already reflecting the light with a warm orange glow that starkly contrasted the deepening blue of the sky. I never get tired of watching these.
<What are you doing here?> A harsh female voice came from behind me.
I whipped around and saw Skatyariâs mother, Ka'en, glaring at me. I immediately got away from the cliff's edge. <I- Iâm sorry was I not supposed to sit here? Iâll move->
<That is not what I meant.> Her words pierced the air like a knife and I felt my heart pounding in my chest.
<May I ask what you do mean?> I clutched at my poncho. This was⊠making me anxious.
<You are as dim as you are blind! Why did you really come to the Tunângay?> She tilted her head up and looked down on me with a sneer.
I felt my ears droop as the memory of TsrĂ€lae finding me when I was twelve and all the struggles Iâve faced the past few years came back. <I...Iâm not comfortable talking- >
<Because I would see through your lies?>
<What?> I stood there dumbfounded.
<Do you know why we call your kind dreamwalkers?> Kaâen grabbed my wrist holding my hand up. I felt my eyes burn.
<I-I donât understand! Let go of me!>
<I know you taint our bodies with your demon blood to make them blind to the Eye of Eywa! Youâre kind are a threat and always have been! You cannot fool me!>
I started to cry silently. It was stupid, but I couldnât do anything else. I didnât understand why she was being so cruel. What did I do to offend her?
<And now you use false emotions to gain sympathy? You will not get such weakness from me.> She then gripped my wrist so tightly I could feel the blood being cut off in my fingers. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt and I was trying so hard to get my emotions in control that my throat burned every time I opened my mouth. I had to get my emotions under control before I got hurt more.
She continued to drag me until we made it to the common meeting area in the center of the mountain. Oloâeykytan NgĂ€fti and Ukâleng looked up to see us and I could see Ukâleng suppress a growl but Leader NgĂ€fti lifted an arm as he quickly got up and stared at us.
<What is the meaning of this?> He asked sharply.
<The Tunângay are blind to what they allowed to live with them! I intend to make them see the danger that this demon in itâs false body represents to all Naâvi!> She threw me onto the ground in view of everyone. I let out a pained grunt when Kaâen grabbed my hair and then pulled up so that I was arching my back. I suppressed a sob and opened my eyes. I could see Ukâeng and Safiraye looking at me, but my head was reeling so much I couldnât tell what expressions they were making. But I definitely heard Safiryae let out a hiss.
<Kaâen! What did Tompa tell you?> Aâkanâs mother and the tsahik of their clan spoke clearly and with such force that everyone backed away as she walked towards us.
<She didnât have to tell me anything! And no demon has ever had a name like âTompa.â It can not be her real name! All Dream Walkers lie!> I flinched as I heard her draw her knife from its sheath and held it under the collar of my poncho.
<The fact that she chooses to wear such strange clothing proves that she is hiding something!> and with a jerk of her blade, the poncho ripped and fell to the ground. She let go of my hair and I collapsed, my back was exposed. My back was exposed! I heard gasps and whispers from the Kawkâsyal. Trembling, I tried to gather the tattered poncho to cover up again, but Kaâen stepped on my hand. I repressed a scream of pain as I looked pitifully up at her
<Something with scars like these should not be allowed to live.> Kaâen sneered as I weakly watched her raise the blade over her head.
<GET AWAY FROM HER!>
I saw the blurred silhouette of Aâkan tackling Ka'en off of me. She rolled away and hissed but her ears flattened against her head when A'kan let out a roar like hiss in her direction. He brought me into an embrace, shielding my back from the crowd. With one arm around my shoulders and his other hand held his sĂ€tstal between us and Kaâen. I was in shock... I couldnât speak. All I could do was repress my sobs. I could feel myself shaking uncontrollably in Aâkan's arms and he held me tighter.
<ENOUGH!> I heard NgĂ€ftiâs stern voice echo through the mountain cluster. I looked up, trembling in Aâkans arms as he approached.
<Ma Aâkan, Escort Tompa and the Tunângayâs Tsahik back home. Leader Ukâleng, Ningâseo, stay here. Iâd like speak to you privately.>
<YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS!> Kaâen tried to object as she got up and I could tell Aâkan was glaring daggers at her⊠I kept my eyes on the ground⊠I didnât want her to grab me againâŠ
<Your actions have brought shame to us all Kaâen! We will discuss this when Tompa is safe.> NgĂ€ftĂŹ glared at Kaâen before turning around to speak with Ukâleng and the other members of the clan.
I was in a daze as I was helped to my feet and led by Aâkan to the Ikrans. I couldnât remember the whole flight back to the forest. Everything was in a blur like a pointless painting. It was only when we landed and Tsahik Safiryae and TsrĂ€lae ran up to me asking me questions. I couldnât hear what they were saying, but I do remember staring at them for a minute before I felt the tears well up again.
âI...I want to go to my bunk.â was all I could say. I slowly began to walk to the caves with my head down when Akan grabbed my hand.
âI will go with you.â
I looked up, a bit shocked, I never heard him speak English before. Listlessly I looked over to Tsakik and TsrÀlae and they both nodded.
âI will come too. I donât want you to be alone.â TsrĂ€lae said and led us both to the caves where my bunker was moved. Aâkan kept squeezing my hand as we walked and I could tell he was upset. As soon as we were inside, I burst into tears again. I tried to push the sobs back but they broke through. I felt so pathetic and weak. Both Aâkan and TsrĂ€lae held me as I broke down and they guided me to the makeshift pillow fort I constructed when I was a kid. We laid down looking up at the trinkets gifted to me by the Tunângay and only then I began to calm down a bit.
My heart was so heavy in my chest. I didnât want to think about what happened but it was so hard not to. Kaâen was so vicious and angry at me for what the humans had done to her home and her family. And she directed her anger towards me⊠I wish she didnât but maybe I deserved it.
I rolled over and felt Aâkan wrap his arm around my waist and I felt my body tense up a bit, but I wasnât afraid. He kept me safe...he is safe. I felt my eyes grow heavy as sleep overcame me and everything went black... Thatâs the last thing I could remember.

Need help translating/ naming certain foods in Na'vi
Hello! I just need a little help because I'm not very fluent in Na'vi vocabulary yet. I need somewhat accurate translations for varying foods and meals for my oc's clans. Below is the list meals and ingredients I need help translating.
Meals:
Soup or stew (please help with this one)
Tea or hot drinks
juice
glazed (as in glazed yam)
smoked (as in smoked deer meat)
Ingridients:
Peppers: I have an idea for this but I don't know if it makes sense. txep-mauti (Translates to "fire fruit". Fire because it burns your mouth as you eat it and fruit because peppers are scientifically categorized as a fruit. Let me know what you think)
Ginger root
Onions and their variations
Lemons, grapefruit, oranges, any citrus
Yams or sweet potatoes
Purple podded beans
That's all I can think of for now. Any advice and constructive critique is appreciated. Thank you!

Young Rain's Reference Sheet!
Here it is! Rain's proper reference sheet so I don't have to guess what all her little details look like! Also there's a recap of how she got her injuries and the consequences of those injuries... FUN!
(For those who can't read the text on the sheet!)
Electrical burns on her back
âąCaused by a high voltage taser to her back (courtesy of Rains mother before abandoning her.)
âąNa'vi bodies and bones are naturally lined with carbon fibers which are strong conductors of electricity, hence why the burns are so exstensive.
âąAs a result of these burns, Rain would get
painful muscle spasms in her neck, shoulders,
and back. A major source of pain and insecurity
for her during adolescence.
âąThe physical pain and frequency
of those spasms diminishes as time
goes on, thanks to Na'vi physiology
and to the medicinal healing practices of the Tun'ngay clan.
However, the mental scars of abandonment follow her into adulthood. (Will get to this later :3)
Anyways enjoy the art!

Tun'ngay Clan Leaders + Lore
Here are Oloâeyktan Uk'leng, TsahĂŹk Safiraye, and thier daughter TsrĂ€lae of the The Tunângay Clan. An apothecary people and the ones that take in my Recom OC Rain.
The clan name Tun'ngay holds symbolism to their culture. Tun (meaning red) and ngay (meaning truth). For what is medicine and healing but seeking and accepting the truth?
Olo'eykytan Uk'lang MĂŹfaytxa Nawpuwe'itan
a compassionate and fair man that leads his people with integrity and with a smidge of wit (as every leader should).
He earned his position as leader due to his innate sense of strategy and diplomacy forming alliances and connections with the neighboring clans, the Kawk'Syal being one of them. This came in handy when the Tun'ngay were attacked by the RDA. He and the other leaders lead their people to victory against them and have maintained peace since.
In terms of his healing knowledge, Uk'leng's focus is in the emotional side of the spectrum. He is basically the clan Therapist :'3. This is key to Rain's healing journey Psychologically.
TsahĂk Safiryae Txaytslen SaĂŹtsra'ite
A renowned herbalist and healer within her clan and like her mate Ukâleng, is also kind but firm. Where Uk'leng focuses on the psychological aspect of healing, Safiryae focuses on the physical. She and Ukâleng may seem like opposites but balancing physical and psychological healing is an essential part to their peopleâs culture.
She takes her healing work very seriously and does not like it when her patients over exert themselves. (Rain will learn this lesson the hard way đ
).
As a parent, she is caring and forthright. Which is the mother figure Rain needs.
TsrÀlae MÏfaytxa Safiryae'ite
Here's my girl! TsrĂ€lae is very much like her father in her nature but incorporates her mothers focus on physical medicine. From a young age she's been incredibly entuned with the balance between the physical and the emotional aspects of medicine and with Eywa herself, hence why she'll be the next TsahĂk of the Tun'ngay Clan.
Although she willingly volunteered for it, she carries a lot of responsibility being Rain's teacher and guide to their way of life. While Uk'leng and Safiryae are watching the girls closely, that is not a guarantee that certain shenanigans won't ensue! She and Rain are still children so itâs bound to happen. đđ
(I promise I'll draw said shenanigans later)
Thatâs all for now!
