it turns out you can use your yarn-powers to make boardgame accessories.
This is forbidden knowledge and I would never have discovered it

I made baby Yoda for my mother in law's birthday. She's absolutely crazed for the little critter and I adore it.
I'd low-key make her 1000 green baby plushies if she asked me
(I'll update the post with a pattern when I remember to, it isn't mine I just followed one)

forgot I had a Tumblr for a few months but I've queued a few posts to show my progress.
I've actually gotten a lot better at crocheting and it's turned out not just being a flash-hobby but an actual Hobby and turns out I just kinda like to make things

If you think about it a crochet pattern is more like a guideline and you can in fact chose to follow it however much or little you want

just in time for Christmas I've made these little gift pouches in red and white. The pattern is from my own two brain cells and was worked in about an hour or so. It's simple but I'm sure the recipient's will be happy with what will eventually go inside them!

most definitely a much too late update of my pumpkin project! I've made much more since then but I'll keep the updates slow to not give anyone the idea that I'm actually consistent

Autumn pumpkin work in progress! It's a combination of different patterns I've found, plus some edits by myself because I would apparently rather make a pattern three times until I figure it out myself than simply following the actual pattern. I have no regrets so far and I find I'm learning things on my own as well. I'll add a link to the main pattern I was following later so credit doesn't go unnoticed!

I tried to follow a pattern I found through Lovecraft made by an independent designer, Hott Knots, called 'Ombre Rectangle Basket'. I don't think I've ever been this frustrated trying to follow instructions. The pictures are seriously hard to follow for a beginner. Then I realised it's a beginner-intermediate pattern.
I ended up improvising a lot of the basket since I couldn't make much of it work, but honestly? I made use of techniques I didn't have before, and that's pretty rad. But...
I'll stand by the critique that the pictures are almost more confusing than helpful! At least for my crochet level.
The yarn is Nova Vita 12 by DMC.

This is legitimately the ONLY granny square project I would ever make!? I can't see the point of them normally but moons and stars? Hell yeah! ✨🌙☀️

On that note... Meet Timothy
My toxic trait is to follow a pattern untill I get bored with it and then I improvise the rest.

I realised I didn't need to buy extra containers for my crochet tools, I can literally just make one

What they don't tell you about ADD is the fact that while you may want to pick up a new hobby like crochet you WILL lose track of whatever stitch you were currently at. Be prepared to recount back-stitches untill you yeet your work across the room

13 days into my skein-dalous crochet-learning adventures and I decided to make a tumblr blog about it.
