I love imagining how characters might draw themselves, so here’s the whole Crew from the Martian :o)
Didn’t occur to me to label the characters, so it might not be clear if u haven’t seen my designs before lol. In order from left to right, the characters are Watney, Vogel, Martinez, Lewis, Beck, and Johanssen.
Little compilation of Norm and Malcolm interacting in Amour because I think too much about them as Gordon and Roger to not go crazy about having a full recording of them together. Ignore the lags/skips, p sure they're a part of the video
I submit to you that these two are actually the same ship:
Two middle-aged female coworkers who are absolutely in love with each other: one a closed-off but lovable badass with certain "connections" and aspects of her past that it's probably best not to ask too many questions about, the other a flawless Black queen who personifies grace and elegance but also knows how to let loose sometimes.
I can't help but wonder what Melissa Lewis was doing the day of the Bitter Springs massacure. She can mention it, she says on it when asked what the NCR has done against the Khans "Bitter Springs happened. Women and children died when the NCR attacked the Great Khans there, and the NCR just pretends it never happened."
That's very true, but it doesn't mention where she was. I'd presume she was a Khan at the time, it'd be weird for someone to have become one of Papa's Top Four in three years.
We know more about Melissa's life than most characters in NV, her being the daughter of Chomps Lewis and all, but at the same time there's a lot of unknowns. Chomps is an NCR Man, he even says "I believe in the NCR, but that doesn't make it right for them to roll over anyone who doesn't want any part of 'em.", which is a very understandable position.
Chomps also says Melissa "Takes a little too much after her mother, rest her soul, but she's happy with the Great Khans, and that's enough for me."... does that mean her mother was a Khan or is it purely personality-wise?
I'm veering off topic... I wonder what Melissa and Chomps first conversation after Bitter Springs was like? Chomps clearly would be against what happened, but his attitude to the NCR vs his daughters are so diffrent.
It's hard to really say because Melissa never makes her opinions on her Dad clear, she works with him, he cares about her. I presume she cares about him, but she's not the sort to talk about it. Maybe the feelings am complex, as she dislikes the NCR.
Something to think about. Most people probably only think of Melissa's dialect or location, but there's a lot to wonder about with this Scout.
Left: Melissa Lewis, Great Khan drug trafficker at Quarry Junction.
—"We don't really use the chems ourselves, just sell them to anybody with the caps. If it ends up hurting the NCR in the process, that's a bonus."
Right: Doctor Usanagi, Followers surgeon at New Vegas Medical Clinic.
—"We've worked with [the NCR] in the past. The NCR became too focused on things like patents and profitability, so the Followers go their own way now. The NCR and the Followers have a cool relationship at the moment. We see them as oppressive, and they view us as anarchists."

Do you have any age headcanons for the Khans (Papa, Regis, Melissa, Diane, Jack, Jerry, Chance, Jessup, McMurphy, Manny)? I am starved of Great Khan content istg 😞
I do actually! SOME anyway... they've moved around a little since the start of some of my stories but as it stands UH
Papa Khan: Papa I tend to pit at 60, making him 20 when the Chosen One attacked Vault 15 during fo2. He's far from the oldest Khan. Additional headcanon, I think he joined the New Khans when he was 14 years old which is a tragedy but he doesn't see it that way
Regis: He's one that I've changed recently, he's 59, making him 19 during fo2. He teases Papa about being the younger man. Also additional hc, I think he was 17 when he joined the New Khans, so his and Papa's attachment to them from the beginning was very different.
Melissa: I don't have a set age for Melissa, but I tend to think of her as one of the younger, a generation or so behind Jessup and co. Maybe like 25 or something?
Diane and Jack: Again, nothing really set in stone for these two but I do think they're the same age. Maybe a little younger than Melissa? They just seem a little more immature than her.
Chance: Chance I actually think is older than a lot of people expect, like one of the first Great Khans born when the Great Khans were actually a thing yknow? I personally make him 39 but that's just for my story reasons and I understand if people don't agree
Manny Vargas and Jessup: Both Manny and Jessup are the same age as Sun, who is 30 during the events of New Vegas. For Manny it puts him close enough in age to Craig (27) but also old enough to be running around with the Khans when they arrived in Vegas 14 years ago (making him 16 when he, Jessup and Sun met). Jessup is the same age as Sun purely for the "breastmilk brothers" joke but they were born pretty close to eachother and have been going on playdates since before they could talk
McMurphy: McMurphy is a littttle older than Jessup and Sun, I haven't fully decided how much older tho. Like 3 years older max, making him 33. I just need him to be in a slightly different age category as Jessup and Sun, but close enough so that they still get grouped up together to go on their first raids and stuff, and he just acts like an annoyed older brother in all roads
BONUS Oscar Velasco: I make Oscar 71 years old, 10+ years older than Papa and Regis and 31 when Vault 15 was attacked. I make him this age because he comes across to me as someone whos lived a whole life before becoming a Khan raider, which makes me think he got roped into it after something happened to him, rather than getting caught up as a teenager like Papa and Regis. He is a tragedy because he had a nice secure life, got forced into being a raider, then built back a family and a good life, then lost them and became a petty raider again. He makes me so sooo sad
