「塩」

　日本には岩塩がない。シオは海のシオである。周囲を海にとり囲まれているので、その気になればどこでも製塩は可能なような気がするが、意外に産地は限られている。植物を食べているだけでは生きてゆくのに必要な量の塩分がとれないので、人口の多いまちを維持するには、塩の定期的な入手は必須である。 　現在、日本国内で生産されている塩は、消費されている量の15％にも満たないらしい。有事のさいの日本の塩分が心配である。

新年あけましておめでとうございます！

Happy New Year!

It's 2024 and a whole new year lies before us. I hope that this new year will bring you closer to all of your goals! Here are my 2024 Japanese Language Learning Goals!

1. Read one page a day of 日本の歴史366 (にほんのれきし366) every day in 2024.

This book introduces an interesting or important Japanese historical fact for elementary school students every day of the year (including February 29th for leap year). I started this book in 2023 but didn't have enough time to read it ever day. I'd like to try again in 2024 (wish me luck!).

2. Review and learn grades 4, 5, and 6 of the 教育漢字 (きょういくかんじ) - elementary school kanji.

In 2023 I mastered grades 1, 2, and 3 of the 教育漢字, and so in 2024 I'd like to finish up elementary school with the rest of the grades! That's a total of 566 kanji in 4, 5, and 6, which I think is a manageable goal for one year (the first three grades have 440 kanji total). When I say master, I mean that I'd like to be able to remember the definition and pronunciation, and be able to read the kanji, but I'll skip writing from memory because that would just take too much time with this many kanji.

3. Read at least one book every three months.

I have found that time constraints and life in general make it difficult for me to read a lot of long books in Japanese, but I think reading a book once a quarter might be manageable. I'll have to be very picky about the books I choose and keep them at or under my level for this to work.

4. Write at least one sentence in Japanese every day.

I think that one of my weakest areas is writing in Japanese. Written Japanese is different than spoken Japanese, and I'd like to be able to consistently write coherent sentences and learn where I could improve. Nothing helps you improve like consistent practice! I'd also like to try to post the sentences on HelloTalk for revisions and comments, and to push myself out of my comfort zone.

5. Practice Japanese at least 10 minutes every day.

Speaking of practice, this habit is one that I have kept up consistently for years. I try to spend at least 10 minutes of even my busiest days doing mindful review or learning, whether it be flash cards, looking up vocabulary words, looking up a kanji in the dictionary, or having an intentional conversation. Despite not having studied formally for almost 10 years, I attribute my continued growth to consistent and purposeful study.

何故、中共は「中国4000年の歴史」とか「中華民族」とか見えすいた嘘を吐くのか？侵略の準備なんだよ！　

本当は夏朝、殷、隋、唐、金、遼、元、清など全て騎馬民族など異民族支配で元々の漢民族は殆ど後漢で滅んでる

しかし中共はその論理でチベットを盗り、内モンゴルを裏切り、東トルキスタン（ウイグル）を強奪して、中共から人を沢山送り現地人をレイプ強姦して妊娠させ混血児を増やし、現地人には強制堕胎、強制不妊手術を行い純粋な現地人人口を減らし、言葉を奪い、文化や宗教を禁止して文字通り民族浄化して、根絶やしにしようとしている

「元々は中華の一部」「太古より中華民族（なんだソレ？）が住んでた」と言い張り、侵略している

同じ論理をプーチンがウクライナに言って「元々はロシアの一部」「昔からウクライナにもロシア人が住んでた」と言い張り、ロシア系住民保護と主張して、ウクライナに侵攻した

おんなじパターン

中共は「尖閣は中共の土地」「沖縄は中国（どの支那だよ？）に朝貢してた中国の一部」と主張している

北海道には沢山、移民させてる

次はどうなるかって？

そりゃ中共による尖閣、沖縄、北海道の侵略が始まるんだよ！

だから「中国4000年の歴史」とか「ずっと中国はあった」とか「偉大な中華民族（何ソレ？）」という嘘に加担しては駄目だ！

それは彼らの宣伝

支那人にも孔子、老子、孟子を生んだ立派な文明があると誤解している日本人が多いのだと思います。

漢文を通じて中国人を理解することぐらい、絶望的な行為はありません。何故なら漢文はこの二千年間というもの中国語とは全く関係がない。日本人のほとんどは漢文を中国語の古語と思ってきたのです。

つまり日本人が尊敬し　知っている漢民族は紀元二世紀でこの地球上から姿を消し、中国住民はそっくり北方の騎馬民族の子孫に何回も何回も入れ替わってしまったのです。

使節団が中国から持ち帰った無数の漢籍を日本人は今日まで約1300年間も読み込んできたのです。

早い話が遣隋使や遣唐使が持ち帰った「論語」や「漢詩」などによって 皮肉なことに中国人でなく日本人の人格が磨かれてきたのです。

中国語と漢文は全く関係がない、つまり漢文の読めない中国人にとって孔子や孟子の教えなど身につくはずもありません。

中国人に取って漢文とは外国語同然なのです．中国で話されている言葉とは全く無縁の言語体系なのです。

現在の中国人は，彼らが使っている中国語が，実は文体もボキャブラリーも日本語からの借用であるということを隠そうとしています．現代日本文の真似をして前置詞や助動詞を明確に記すことによって、やっと文章が書けるようになったのです。

日清戦争後，日本に大量の清国留学生がやってきて，日本語を学び中国語を誰でもが読める中国語の表記法を改良していったのです．その中にかの有名な魯迅もいたのです。

日本語をマスターした魯迅の頭の中は日本語の文章があり，それを漢字に置き換えて表現することによって原文一致体の「白話文」が生まれました。

そして試行錯誤の結果　現在における中国語は北京語を元にした「普通話」がやっと確立されたのです。

つねに色んな異民族に取って変わられた中国の歴史を眺めたとき，中国政府が宣伝している四千年の歴史は中国人の歴史ではなく中国大陸の歴史だということがわかります。

中国には単一民族としての中国人は一度も存在しなかった．中国語には

北京語，上海語，福建語などの言葉があることを知られていますが、実際はもっと言語は細分化されています。��れらは単なる方言というのでなく，ほとんど共通点がありません。

そこで中国政府は各国が持っている「国民国家」というシステムを作るために国民を北京語に統一して教育してきたのです。それもまだ100年足らずのことです。

そして言語だけでなく異文化、異言語の人々の寄せ集め集団である中国を統一するために歴史も歪曲せざるをえなかった。

毛沢東は少数民族を含めて全ての中国人を漢族にしてしまうために少数民族の文化を奪い、抵抗するものは容赦なく抹殺してきたのです。

もし少数民族の自治や、言論の自由といったものを実現させれば、中国政府が意図する最強の「国民国家」システムの改造計画が頓挫してしまいます。

この中国共産党の意図が理解できたとき、日本人やアメリカ人が思っている「中国は資本主義開放経済への道を進めば自然に民主国家になっていく」という考えが　いかに愚かな事であるかということがわかっていただけたとおもいます。

【例大祭再版③】妖夢のすてきな庭師びより

5月3日の博麗神社例大祭2１にて、こちらは割と新しめの本。昨年の春例大祭で出しました「妖夢のすてきな庭師びより」を再版いたします。 こちらの本も、なかなか見かけない本には出来たかと思い、気に入っております。 妖夢を中心に、「東方妖々夢」のほぼ全キャラクターが描かれています。

こちらは純粋な増刷ではなく、加筆修正されている部分もございます。 一番大きな変更点は、ほぼ全ページに「ふりがな」を振ってみましたところです。

若干絵本のような雰囲気の本ではあるものの、よく読んでみると読みづらい漢字や専門用語が使われていたかとも思い、この本はより広くの人に読んでいただきたいとの思いでルビを振りました。

例えば「顕界」(※この世のこと)を「げんかい」と読むなんて、ちょっと専門的ですし一般的な単語ではないと思います。 しかしそうしたちいさな塵の積もりが後々に響くものかもしれないと思いました。私自身が、そうでしたので。

私がまだちいさな子供の頃、漫画にふりがなが振ってあると漢字でも読めて嬉しかったですし、勉強にもなりますし、なにより「その本を子供の自分でも読むことが許されている」という感じがすごくして、漢字が読めるようになってもしばらくは、ふりがながあるというだけで嬉しく感じていたのです。

そういう子供の頃の私の気持ちを、この本に込められたらと思いました。

そんな、かつて子供だった大人の方にも。もちろん、今まさに未成年の方にも。例大祭のお土産にも良いかと思います。 ぜひいらしてください😊

Hay muchos países que celebran esta festividad de formas distintas, pero todos tienen en común que honran a sus antepasados, es una festividad que tiene 400 a 500 años de antigüedad y es de origen budista. 　京都に住む者であれば、7月になれば、この漢字の読みは当然の如く「かむろ」。今年は3年ぶりに山鉾巡行がおこなわれる。禿は2名、稚児の補佐として、祇園祭の脇役をつとめる少年たちのことある。 　新聞などでこの文字を見かけて、一瞬、ぎょっとしたのち、ああそうや、そういう時期や、なんやったかいな、そうや、かむろ、や、と、ひとりごちるための文字である。

When I put it into the translator, it just says "my machine", but that's not the same mean at all. I'm pretty sure it's a translation of "I".

弊社/貴社と明らかな対応関係なんだけど��そもそも英語には 自分の会社をへりくだって言う敬語/相手の会社を尊敬して言う敬語 にあたる言葉そのものが存在しない！

It's a word that has an obvious correspondence to 弊社(our company)/貴社(your company). In the first place, in English, there is no word itself that corresponds to the honorifics used for humbling one's own company/respecting the other company. There is no word that can express it in one word!

弊は自分に帰属するものについてへりくだって付けることばで、機はmachineだよね

The word "弊" is a humble term for something that belongs to them, and "機" is a machine, right?

あー……あとそう！「弊機(heiki)」は「兵器(heiki)」と音がまったく同じなんですよ！美しいダブルミーニング！

日本語は一人称をけっこう好き勝手していいし(自作の一人称で話していても特に説明なく言葉は通じる)、一人称が大きくそのキャラクターの属性をうかがわせるところがあるから

The Japanese language allows various kinds of the first person to be used as desired (even if the original first person is used, the language can be understood without explanation), and the first person can reveal a great deal about the character's attributes.

When translating various works into Japanese, the first thing to do is to define the first person of all the characters, a great job...

そして一人称を決めたら今度はそれをひらがなにするのか漢字にするのかを考えないといけない

It's a bit odd as a sentence, though, because it uses the first person of the character to refer to the character.

そういえばARTの一人称は「本船」なんだけど、ARTのことを本船と呼ぶ人はそれほど見ないな…

Come to think of it, ART's first person is "本船", but I don't see that many people calling ART ”本船”...

ちなみに「本船」は"This/Our/My Ship"くらいの温度感の意味合いで、警備ユニットたちのそれと違ってまったくへりくだるニュアンスはないよ。いかにもARTらしい。

By the way, "本船" means something like "This/Our/My Ship", and unlike SecUnit's, there is no humility in it at all. It's just like ART.

この頃ワープロはかな漢字変換が出来たので日本の入力ツールとしてはPCより遥かに使い勝手が良かった。社内文書はワープロで打ってた。PCはまだDOSがメインで半角カナで使うものだったし日本語変換も使いづらく棲み分けが必要だった。MacとWin3.1の登場で世界図は大きく変わったんですよね。

1989年当時、派遣で日立製作所の仕事してましたが、既にHitachi製PCでワープロソフトを使って文書作成してました。ワープロ機はいずれ無くなるって感じでしたね。

お久しぶりですね！Hello, I'm still here! My study log has been on a hiatus since the end of May, but I am here to regale you with tales of my Japanese studies. Why the hiatus? The usual suspects: Work, real life (including vacation!) and family had to take some precedence, but I am still here studying behind the scenes.

I feel refreshed from having had to put down my pencil and focus on other things for a while during the month of August, and so I feel rested and refreshed and I don't feel overwhelmed to come back to my studies. I don't feel like I have to catch up or like I haven't been doing enough during my time off. Rather, I feel very excited to get back into my regular study routine.

お久しぶりですね！まだここにいますよ！日本語の勉強日記が五月の終わりからお久しぶりですね！まだここにいますよ！日本語の勉強日記が五月の終わりから休暇中でしたが、只今戻りました！休暇の理由は？いつも通りでしょうね。仕事や生活や家族ーバカンスも入れてー色々で忙しくて休まなければなれませんでした。しかし勉強の休みはなかった。

8月に色々に集中しないといけなかったので、その間リフレッシュができて今は勉強を続くのは楽しみにしています。バカンスが楽しくても、勉強についてがっかりしているわけじゃなくて、むしろまた勉強ができてわくわくしています。バカンスも大事だし、自分の時間を過ごすのも大事だし、これからまた頑張れると気がします。

Study Methods I Used in June, July, & August

In June through August I mostly studied Vocabulary, Kanji, and Listening. The areas I focused on the least were Writing and Grammar. The study tools I used most were mobile tools so I could bring them with me on my phone anywhere I went.

My pro study tool this summer was the mobile app for renshuu.org because I was able to use vocabulary and kanji flashcards to get in some practice even during busy work days and holidays.

Podcasts were my second pro study tool, especially the Let's Talk in Japanese podcast. I could listen during my work commute, on the plane, while the baby takes a nap, and just before bed.

ママ友 or mom friends are a great way to practice listening & speaking. My son just enrolled in a Japanese preschool and I've already made a few new friends for playdates. Playdates are useful for improving his Japanese and mine!

My 2023 Goals Progress

I laid out some broad goals for my Japanese study in my 2023 Japanese Language Goals post, so here is an update with my progress towards these goals.

1. Read one page a day of 日本の歴史366 (にほんのれきし366) everyday in 2023.

How is it going? Terrible! I did not bring this book on my vacation, so I have not kept up. But I will get back into reading the daily pages as often as possible. I am not going to finish the entire book this year, but that's ok. I still learn something new every time I pick it up, and even retain some of the information! Goal: Read as many entries as possible by the end of the year.

2. Finish 日本語総まとめ N3 (にほんごそうまとめ N3) workbooks.

How is it going? Good! I plan on returning to these workbooks now that things have settled down after my holiday, but I will only be able to do extensive practice on the weekends. I still have two weeks left of exercises in the books, so I think I am on track to finish it by the end of the year.

3. Review and learn the first 6 levels of the 常用漢字 (じょうようかんじ), specifically the 教育漢字 (きょういくかんじ) up to grade 6.

How is it going? Okay! Although I didn't have much time in August to review kanji during my holiday, I was able to get through reviewing Grade 3 of the Kyoiku Kanji during June and July. Goal: Review through at least Grade 4 during the month of September.

4. Read at least one book every two months.

How is it going? Terrible! I still haven't had the time (nor the motivation) to pick back up the books I stopped in March, and I'm trying to be okay with that ^^; I would like to pick back up one book in September and try to finish it by the end of the year. Books are a big commitment, and I have to prioritize my studies, so unfortunately books tend to be the first thing I drop.

5. Improve my speaking and writing by finding a tutor.

How is it going? Terrible! I have not begun to even look for a tutor, despite telling myself I would for the entire month of June. I am not sure if I am going to try to find a tutor at this point or if I will just continue with self-study, writing sentences on HelloTalk, and getting some help from my husband. I would like to try to write more and get my sentences corrected by native speakers. I'd also like to interact with native speakers, but finding the time is really tough.

6. Study Japanese for at least 10 minutes every day.

How is it going? Good! Although the rest of my goals have suffered greatly this summer, my goal of continuing to practice a little bit everyday has allowed me to persevere and to feel like I've accomplished something.

Going Forward in September

I am a bit sad to see the summer go as it's my favourite season, but the changing of seasons is always exciting and motivates me to try new things and continue moving forward.

うつせみ

ソファに身を投げてまどろんでいたら、夏の記念日に家人がふくらませてからずっと今までしぼまず浮かんで、天井の隅に張り付いていたヘリウムガス入りの赤いハート型の風船が、突然スススススと天井を擦るように移動してきたので、心臓止まるかと思った。ペニーワイズか。たぶん暖房のいたずらだと思うのだが、しかし。アパート一階の共用廊下と外界を仕切るフェンスに、夏の間からずっと一つの蝉の抜け殻がしがみついている。

寒い季節は水道の水も冷えているから、富士そばのそばもよく締まっていて美味い。

駅前に居酒屋が新装開店していて、オープン初日に家人とたまたま前を通りかかったので冷やかしに入ってみた。赤星があって結構。化粧の濃い女店員の声がでかい。翌日の夕方、前を通りかかると、花環の花をご自由にお持ちくださいと女店員が声を張り上げていたので、まだ活きの良さそうな薄紫色のダリアを一輪引き抜いておみやげにした。

うつせみ　名

この世の人、現世、世間の意。

「空蟬」「虚蟬」という漢字が当てられたのは本来は単なる借音の表記だったが、うつろな蟬の抜け殻の意味が感じられるようになり、奈良時代末期からの仏教の広まりの影響を受けて、無情なこの世で「うつせみの世」という使い方が生じた。中古には、「空(むな)し」を導き出す枕詞としても用いられ、蟬の抜け殻そのものを意味するようにもなった。

そういえば配信は趣味にはしないって話したけど、別に配信がつまらないとかそういうのでは本当にないです🤧 ただ趣味になるとエンジョイ勢な感じは否めないかなって思っているだけです😌 だからといってじゃあガチ勢なのかと言われたら確かに悩むけど💦 少なくとも毎月みんなの大事な時間やお金をいただいているのに趣味にするのは違うんじゃないかなって思っているのは確かです🤔 以前もリスナーさんに向けて自分が楽しいだけじゃなくて、お互い楽しめるようにコメント心掛けてねってTumblrに書いたと思うんだけど、それは逆も然りで私が楽しいだけじゃダメだと思ってるのね💭 やっぱりリスナーさんが求める配信をしてこそのライバーだと思ってるので、ライバーが楽しいだけの配信だったら別にキャスとかの非公開ルームで配信すればいいと思う(配信欲は満たせると思う)し、ゲームしたいならディスコの鯖に入ってゲームすればいいと思うって言うのが私の個人的な感想かな🫠 ちなみに私は昔も今もリスナーさんに恵まれて生きてきた自信があるし、贅沢な話をしてるのかもしれないけどね🥺 ちょっと乱文で申し訳ないけど、私はそう思ってるよってだけお話したかったので💦 とりあえずこれからもみんなが楽しめるお話をできたらいいよね🥰 毎日ネタに困ってるし成り行き任せだけど🫠 この前3ヶ月記念迎えたし、心機一転やっていくか✨ それとちょっとAGは調べてみます💭

お名前はね、ちなみに読める名前がいいって言うのはマジでそうで読めない名前はめちゃくちゃ不便です💦 どこに行ってもなんて読むんですか?とかこれで読み方合ってますか?とか聞かれる生活めんどくさくない!? しかも合ってますか?って聞いておいて100%当たった試しがないから本当に嫌になるよね🥲 まだなんて読むんですか?の方がマシだよね🤧 とりあえず答えればいいんだから、でも聞き返されるけどね🤲 本当に読めない漢字の子は愛着なければなお改名した方がいいと思うよ🤔 まぁそんなこんなで私は子供がいたら読める名前にすると思うな🥳 あとはその時の流行りに身を任せると思う🤔
