Noble Blood - Chapter Four
hello again friends! sorry the wait between chapters was so much longer than the last two. life has been..... messy, to put it lightly. but the chapter is finished now and i'm posting it before i overthink it too much. i hope you enjoy!
fic masterlist here | read on ao3 here | wc: 2.4k | cw: gender neutral reader, gojo being a drama queen, a little bit of yaga slander (by gojo), that's pretty much it.
Tumblr media
Not much changed after the new year’s festival. Satoru went back to his training sessions with Yaga while you and the rest of your friends attended school and filled your free time however you saw fit.
Winter quickly turned to spring, and before you knew it, the sakura trees were in full bloom, the soft pink-white petals dancing on the breeze and covering the streets, the delicate perfume from the blossoms filling the air and making everything seem brighter.
All of those things also reminded you of the sakura tree that grew outside of Satoru’s bedroom, and it made you miss him even more than you already did. But springtime had a habit of bringing hope and with it, and you allowed yourself to imagine things would get better soon, and you would be able to spend your days with Satoru as you used to.
It felt almost too good to be true when you stepped out of your house one morning to see Satoru and Shoko waiting for you outside.
“Thank god you’re here,” Shoko said. “He’s been driving me nuts while we were waiting. Says he has big news, or something, but that’s all I can get out of him.”
“Because we don’t have everybody here yet!” Satoru said, sticking his tongue out at Shoko before turning back to you and smiling brightly. “C’mon, we have a couple more stops to make.”
Unwilling to question how or why your friend was able to come down from the estate and spend time with all of you again, you nodded, following eagerly after him as he headed off down the road, presumably to pick up Utahime, then to see the Nanami siblings.
“Do you have any idea what he’s on about?” Shoko asked, leaning in a bit closer to you as the two of you followed the boy.
The only thing you could think of was that Satoru had finally decided to tell the rest of your friends that he had Kenji, regardless of what his parents wanted; he’d bonded with Kenji nearly three months before, and you were the only person outside the Gojo clan – besides Yaga – that knew Satoru had his dragon.
“None at all,” you told her, offering an apologetic smile.
She sighed, rolled her eyes. “I bet it’s not even anything important, he’s just tired of being cooped up at home and he wants us all to pay attention to him again.”
You said nothing in response, knowing that she was going to be absolutely floored when she found out about Kenji, though stifling your laughter over her words was hard.
“Are you guys talking about me back there?” Satoru asked, glancing over his shoulder at you and grinning. “I am the most interesting person you know, after all.”
“We’re talking about how annoying you are,” Shoko said, and her words were made even funnier by her completely deadpan delivery. Satoru scowled at her, sticking his tongue out for the second time that morning, and this time Shoko returned the gesture. All you could do was laugh at them.
It wasn’t long before the three of you reached Utahime’s house, and Shoko volunteered to be the one to knock on the door; Utahime and Satoru were friends, yes, but if she only saw him and didn’t know that anyone else was with him yet, the odds that she would shut the door in his face were high.
Utahime looked past Shoko with narrowed eyes at Satoru, though her expression relaxed when she saw you standing there with him, and after a moment she stepped outside to join the rest of you.
“What’s the ‘big news’ you have?” she asked your white haired friend suspiciously.
“I can’t tell you yet!” he declared with a grin. “We have to go get Nanamin first.” It was still exceedingly funny to you that Satoru still insisted on calling Kento by a diminutive of his last name, rather than by his first name like the rest of you did. Kento didn’t find it all that amusing, but he never complained about it, either.
And so, off the four of you went, Satoru leading the way while the rest of you followed after him. As you all filed into the bakery, you were greeted warmly by Kento’s father, Ginger perched on his shoulder for the time being.
“Hello, Nanami-san!” Satoru chirped, offering the older man a slight bow in greeting.
“Is Kento here?” Utahime asked curiously.
His father nodded. “Yes, I believe he’s upstairs. Kokoro is resting right now though, I’m afraid. She had a bit of a fever last night and didn’t sleep very well.”
You and Utahime frowned at that and offered your condolences, while Shoko gave a slight nod; her parents, as the healers of the settlement, always seemed to get busier when the seasons changed.
“I’ll tell him you’re here,” your friend’s father said, before turning and stepping out of the bakery and up to his home on the second floor.
As the four of you waited for him, your gaze drifted to the cookies on the display trays; now that spring was well underway, some of the seasonal flavors had come back, and you were happy to see them. There were the plain shortbread cookies, as always, but there were others now, too: petal-pink cookies cut carefully in the shapes of the flowers that flavored them filled one tray, while another tray was lined with circle-shaped cookies you knew to be flavored with the same green tea your mother drank in the mornings. You must have been staring harder than you realized, because next thing you knew, Satoru was poking your cheek to get your attention.
“Hungry?” he asked, somewhat teasingly.
You rolled your eyes at his question. “They’re pretty,” you said after a moment. “I like seeing them every year.”
Satoru said nothing, just gave a small hum in response, but he looked up at Kento’s father with a smile once the man returned to the counter, his son trailing behind him. “Nanami-san, I’d like to buy some cookies before we all head out.”
You blinked at him in surprise, not having expected him to indulge you in such a way. He requested five of the sakura cookies and five of the matcha cookies – one of each flavor for each member of your group – and after tilting his head slightly towards his shoulder, as if he were listening to something, he also asked for one regular shortbread cookie.
Once the treats were paid for and wrapped up, Satoru accepted them and led everyone back outside, insisting he had something important to tell everyone.
“I bet it’s not even actually important,” Kento grumbled, though he did easily accept his share of the cookies as they were passed to him. He took a bite out of the matcha one, chewing it carefully and swallowing it before adding, “He just wants to feel important.”
If only you knew, you thought, but you said nothing; you doubted your white haired friend would forgive you anytime soon if you stole his thunder.
The group stopped once everyone reached the large, gnarled maple tree that stood about halfway between the bakery and the schoolhouse. Without any words being exchanged, Satoru sat with his back to the trunk, the rest of you sitting in a half circle in front of him.
“Will you please drop the theatrics now and just tell us already?” Utahime asked, somehow still scowling as she chewed on her cookie.
Letting out a sigh that was very decidedly theatric, the boy relented. “Fine, fine, I suppose I’ve kept you all in suspense long enough.” He cleared his throat, sat up a bit straighter and, with a grin, announced, “I have a dragon.”
Before anyone even had time to call his bluff, Satoru pulled the plain shortbread cookie from the paper packaging, held it up closer to his shoulder, and said, “You can come out now, Kenji.”
Kenji, who apparently had a flare for the dramatic as much as Satoru did, poked his head out of the collar of the boy’s light jacket, then made a beeline for the cookie, climbing onto Satoru’s shoulder and taking the cookie into his mouth once it was within reach.
“You’re welcome,” your friend pointedly told his dragon, when he got no sort of thanks for the treat. Kenji made a suspiciously mocking sound in response, though he never tore his attention away from the cookie he was nibbling on.
Throughout the whole exchange, your friends stared at Satoru and Kenji, eyes wide and jaws slack, as if unable to believe what they were seeing. Knowing you had probably looked very similar when you first saw Kenji, you had to stifle a giggle.
Shoko, who was sitting closest to you, noticed your muffled laughter, and she turned towards you, still wide-eyed. “You knew?” she asked incredulously. “You knew he had his dragon and you didn’t tell us?”
“He would’ve thrown a huge fit if I told you before he did!” you defended.
“My parents wanted Kenji kept a secret at first,” Satoru added, coming to your defense as well.
“But they still knew before the rest of us did!” Utahime cut in. “How is that fair?”
You didn’t have an answer for that, so you turned to Satoru, hoping your white haired menace of a friend had an answer that would satisfy everyone.
“Because they’re Satoru’s best friend,” Shoko said, before the boy could answer for himself. It was clear in the way she emphasized “best friend” that she meant something else, and though you weren’t sure what, you found your feelings were a bit hurt by…whatever the implication was; the confusion and hurt you felt doubled as you watched Shoko, Kento, and Utahime all exchange a knowing glance. You turned to Satoru then, assuming he would be just as confused as you were, but he’d got a bit red in the face, and was very pointedly not looking at you, instead focusing on Kenji as the dragon practically mauled the cookie he’d been given.
“What’s important is that I’m telling you guys now,” Satoru insisted, still failing to meet your eyes, though his gaze did flash in your direction for a brief moment. “Besides,” he added, “he’s not even that exciting yet. All he does is steal my food and pretend he doesn’t understand what I’m saying to him during training.”
Apparently taking great offense at the snowy haired boy’s words, Kenji turned to face Satoru, making a series of displeased noises that were clearly some sort of complaint.
“You know it’s true— ow!”
At first you were shocked as you watched Kenji bite Satoru on the hand, but you relaxed when you realized he hadn’t actually broken the skin, and you laughed at how smug the little dragon looked, clinging to your friend’s arm and holding the cookie in his mouth as Satoru attempted to shake him off in retaliation for the bite.
“How is training going?” Shoko asked curiously, tilting her head slightly and slowly chewing a bite of her own cookie as she waited for an answer. “I’ve seen your teacher in town some, he seems prickly.”
“Yaga-sensei is sooooo boring,” Satoru sighed dramatically, apparently deciding to forgive Kenji for biting him, at least for the time being. “He makes me do the same exercises every day.”
“Do you and Kenji have those exercises learned yet?” asked Kento.
“No.”
“Then that’s why you keep having to do them.”
“But it’s so boring!”
“What’s his dragon like?” you cut in, realizing then that the one time you’d met Yaga, he had not had a dragon with him.
“You mean Panda?” Satoru asked, his brows furrowed slightly as if he were deep in thought.
“He doesn’t have a dragon?”
“Where did he even get a panda, anyways?” Utahime added, her features pinched together in confusion.
“No, he does have a dragon. The dragon’s name is Panda,” Satoru explained with a small smile on his face. “But I agree, it’s a stupid name for a dragon.”
“I’m assuming Panda is black and white?” you asked, trying to steer the conversation away from possibly dissolving into pointless bickering.
“Obviously,” Satoru replied, rolling his eyes. When he caught the way you were scowling at him, though, he straightened up a bit. “Yeah, Panda’s black and white. He does actually look a lot like a panda, it’s weird.”
“Can he fly?” This time Kento was the one to ask.
“I don’t think so? He doesn’t have any wings, at least, and I’ve never seen him fly.”
As the rest of your friends tossed questions at Satoru about his training, about Yaga, about Panda, just trying to get a feel for how much of his life had changed in the last couple of months, you were more than happy just to listen, but you looked down when you felt something on your leg.
Unnoticed by everyone else – including Satoru – Kenji had made his way across the space between where he and his rider sat, all the way over to you, who he had apparently deemed a better companion for the time being.
You watched with a smile as the dragon steadily made his way up your leg, and you offered him your hand to give him a more direct path to your shoulder. That seemed to be all the invitation he needed, and he quickly scampered up your arm, settling on your shoulder as he finished the last piece of the cookie he’d been given earlier.
After the dragon settled down in his new spot, you made an effort to move as little as possible, not wanting to jostle or upset him at all. You still weren’t sure why Kenji had taken a liking to you specifically and nobody else – besides Satoru, of course – but you tried not to question it too much; he didn’t seem to want anything from you, nor did it seem like he wanted to cause you problems, so you were content to let him seek you out whenever he saw fit. You may not have met your own dragon yet, but having caught the attention of your friend’s solid color dragon made you feel special.
Deep down you also hoped maybe it was a sign that you would meet your own dragon soon, and that maybe you’d be lucky enough to bond with a rare, special dragon, like Kenji.

for those of you who made it this far, first of all i want to say thank you for sticking around for the chapter updates! second, i want to let everyone know i'm going to be taking a break from this fic for a bit. i'm not sure how long, so i'm not going to give a time frame, but i literally frustrated myself to tears at least half a dozen times while writing this chapter, so i need to take a step back for a bit, before i frustrate myself to the point of fully giving up on this fic. i love this au, i want to keep writing this fic, but right now i need a break. i hope you'll all still be around when i'm ready to come back to it 💜

Alright, my fellow UY folks!! Since the new trailer has dropped, why don't we unpack everything they've shown us so far?
Or more specifically, what all chapters are getting adapted in the third cour (only third since they won't reveal footage for the fourth one till the third is over.)!!
Also, ignore the stupid quality since I took the pictures on my phone..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First up is the Kurama - Ran - Rei two-parter!! Nice to see Kurama again since I was worried she would be a one time character since she didn't appear in the eye catches. However, I'm pretty sure this is going to be her last appearance since it's her final appearance in the manga (not counting cameos). It's one of the funnier Kurama chapters, so this will be great fun!!
Tumblr media
Next up is the 'Fantasy bubblegum' chapter!! Another one I didn't think which would be adapted since we see Ten order the key item in this chapter in the post credits of the love-love crystal ball episode. Maybe the order was delayed? Or Ten didn't use it till now? Who knows. Anyways, this is a pretty funny chapter and I'm excited to see how it turns out (Also BenOyu yuri, Let's goo!!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AtaLum fans, Let's rejoice, because it looks like they're adapting "Love knows no barriers" aka the chapter where Lum gets hit with the rice cooker!!! This one is my favorite singular chapter in the series and I absolutely hated the original anime's version of this one so I hope the remake does this one justice!! I'm not sure whether the first one is from this chapter since Ataru's wearing his school uniform instead of his casuals, but maybe it's because of a few changes here and there. DavidPro, you better not disappoint me considering what the original did.
Tumblr media
Looks like we're going to get the chapter which introduces the Ryuunosuke's mom (Masako) saga. I'm not sure whether they'll adapt everything under this saga, but the first one seems to be there. I really like this chapter because we get a wholesome relationship between Ryu and Ataru's mom.
Tumblr media
THE BODYSWAP CHAPTER!!! This one comes a bit earlier from what I remember and not to mention, it's pretty hilarious (literally any chapter where Sakura has to deal with Ataru's BS is an A+ for me) so I'm super excited!!
Tumblr media
ASUKA, MY CHILD!! IT'S HER!! Finally one of my UY Blorbo's gets animated!! And considering the shot of her and Ton- chan, yes guys, they're keeping the incest. I've never understood why there were some who said they wouldn't adapt it but like, it's one of Asuka's main character points and the incest is clearly portrayed as wrong and unacceptable, similar to Ataru's lecherous behavior (They might still tone it down though). Anyways, I'm so excited for Asuka, I can't wait!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, two very beloved and very important arcs!! First, I can't believe we're getting three AtaLum stories in this cour, I mean we deserve it after being fed with only one last cour. And second, I'm pretty sure both these arcs are going to be at least a whole episode long considering how big these two are. And I have to admit, the door realm looks so pretty.. and I'm so excited for Shingo, Inaba and their arcs, can't January come already???
And that's all for it!! Other than these, there were two to three shots I couldn't exactly place which chapter they belong to, so sorry about that. And I wanted to point out that the animation looks quite fluid in some scenes as well, so it looks like DavidPro is doing great work as expected. Anyways, UY is coming back once again on January 11th and I am so ready!! THE HYPE IS REAL!!!

how am I having more thoughts on the Cardcaptor!Katsuki thing?
Okay okay some plot notes:
I'm sticking this AU in a weird-ass place! During Katsuki and Izuku's last year of middle school!
So they're not in UA, but this is post-sludge villain so they're a bit weird, Kats is NOT dealing with the trauma well, and Izuku is still training with All Might.
This does mean they're not getting involved in the main plot of bnha yet, but they /can/ run into some characters on the adventures. (Maybe the Heroes are responding to the chaos the Cards make, maybe their future classmates are caught up in said chaos, hell you can toss a villain or two in because some of them might know things about the cards).
Also this is a CC-esque au so similar canon deviations exist. Like Katsuki being transfem but not actually out yet.
Card nonsense kicks off pretty early in.
So I'm imagining that Katsuki is having a Bad Time™ and just wants to be alone for a hot minute. Wanders off during the school day and ends up in some backrooms of the school library. Finds the book with the cards. All the cards except Firey excape(because this one vibes most with her). Kero appears and while Katsuki is like ?????? he gives the plot dump of 'hey! Magic is real! You're destined to deal with this shit!"
Izuku also gets involved because he noticed Katsuki sneaking off, followed like the little fuckin stalker he is, and saw the whole card scattering/Kero infodump thing.
Katsuki and Izuku are in a weird ass place right now because it's post-sludge but pre-ua. So Katsuki is trying to figure out what the fuck is up with Izuku and whether her life is a lie and all that but hasn't really had the push to confront all that. And at first she's pissed at Izuku but Kero is a decent mediator to this situation and it's. it's the first time any kind of adult(as much of an adult as a little cat bear thing is) has kinda. Taken control and firmly but kindly said 'hey knock that shit off' so it's easier for her to really just take a step back and take a breath and actually like. Properly be able to listen to Izuku because again: Kero is saying 'hey the guy was worried about you that's a good thing' instead of 'lmao he's worried about you he thinks you can't handle this show him you can through force!'.
bonus points for Katsuki getting dragged into Izuku's nonsense and finding out 'oh you met mcfucking ALL MIGHT and he's training you as a successor????'. Which. Yeah def spins everything because fuck it All Might is the ultimate authority on right and wrong so if All Might thinks Izuku is a good person worhty of respect Katsuki is switching it up right now. (and feeling guilty for everythig in the past so whoops more of Kero being like 'kid you're FINE!!)
Swinging over to Yue! I mentioned before but he was determined to handle the passing of the torch to a new holder better than the Clow-Sakura transfer he was going in optimistically but GOD he meets Katsuki and is like "THIS??? IS WHAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH???"
So like. He still does something similar to last time in hiding in plain sight to keep an eye on the new holder. I don't think he'll go full dual personality again because while I love Yukito that's A Lot. But also there's like.... There's not really anyone in Katsuki's life where he could slide in as a 'haha you're not going to question me being here!'.
Which leads to the idea of Yue basically faking being a teacher and is now on the Aldera staff but he's the only sane person in this place and is constantly on the verge of killing his coworkers because holy FUCK how do y'all treat children like this????
All Might gets dragged into this because Izuku has Katsuki meet him and tbh with Izuku helping Katsuki figure out the Card stuff they get into nonsense that's /technically/ vigilantism according to the law but Katsuki is the only one who can deal with the situation.
The actual collecting of the cards happens over that school years so Katsuki has all of them by the time she and Izuku go to UA (and also they're all a bit healthier about things both each other and themselves).
At UA, Katsuki initially tries to keep to just using her Quirk for this shit instead of the cards(though she's become used to using both in tandem). This only works so well beause ofc when bigger threats come out, she's not going to hold back out of some weird 'oh it's not fair to-' no people are in danger she's gonna use everything she has to save them.
So while we don't get someone Eriol-esque crafting situations, the Plot forces her to transform the Cards into her own versions.

I am so sorry that I haven't been responding to your articulate and kind answers to my asks. Honestly, my professional as well as personal life in the last month and a half had been a complete mess (it would be more appropriate to call it a tragicomedy at this point) but I had been wrapped up in my exams even though I had tried to keep myself up to date with the announcements. From what I understand, no news of season 2 of CCS CC anime, right? In any case, it does seem that patience would be the best virtue for now. Sigh. On the other hand, I have come across some screenshots of a CCS CC mobile game from a few years back. From what I gathered, it had a scene where Syaoran teases Sakura by saying cheesy romantic stuff in English and then refusing to translate it for her. Lmao. This guy. I am beginning to see shades of Horitsuba's Syaoron and TRC's Li Tsubasa in him. Look at this formerly grumpy little brat being all sly and flirty. Plus I also saw screenshots of elementary school age Syaoran with Fujitaka at the latter's home, presumably discussing archaeology with interest and Sakura serving them sweets and mostly smiling indulgently from a distance. I really want to know the context of this one. Fujitaka and Syaoran's bond was one of my fave in TRC and to watch them in CCS, bonding over archaeology despite the different contexts and origins of this interest in this world would be a joy. You just know that Fujitaka's greatest fanboy is going to be his son in law. (Also, is it just me or is Li Tsubasa more of an anthropologist, like the cultural anthropology kind, than an archaeologist like Syaoran?)
Dear Aubretia, you don't need to apologize! I also don't always feel mentally available, or have time to answer to asks, so I might take some days too! But your comments and asks are always welcome here, whenever you feel like it!! I hope your situation got better in the meantime! 🙏
Yep, April 1st didn't bring any anime S2 news aside from CLAMP confirming in a Space that an announcement might take some more time, but it is surely on the way: now everything is basically left in Kodansha's hands, to make that announcement.
Ohohoh I know very well what you're talking about! The legendary (and defunct) Happiness Memories mobile game! I played that game myself for the one year it lasted, and sometimes I was literally shocked at how pertinent and relevant that game was to the anime (but also manga) storyline...so much that I wondered more than once if Ohkawa wasn't a ghostwriter for it or something... For example, in the game you could play a "photo story" where Akiho practiced with Kaito her introduction for her first day of school at Tomoeda...it was very sweet but I thought it was just "an invention" of the developers of the game... But when the two Drama CDs came out with the Special Edition of volume 7 and 8 of the manga, I was shocked to realize that Ohkawa wrote a line for Akiho where she recounts her first day of school to Kaito, and she says "I was able to greet everyone in Japanese, just like I had been practicing!" <- just like in the game!!! That felt too much of a coincidence (in a CLAMP thing?? coincidences don't exist!!) to me, so I lowkey consider whatever happens in that game "canon"! 😁
I had made some threads on my Twitter account, back then! And I remember I translated some of the content of that SyaoSaku Happiphoto here!!
I also remember the one about Fujitaka and Syaoran, I mentioned it in my Trivia post about all the literary references, because in that photostory Fujitaka mentions a particular book to Syaoran while talking about archeology...but unfortunately I didn't get to play that photostory, so I don't know many details about it!! But yes, I totally agree that Fujitaka's biggest fanboy will be his son in law (and this reminds me we didn't get an interaction between them in Clear Card!! This is totally one of those things they can feature in the anime, though! 😁)
Hmmm for Tsubasa and Syaoran, yes, it might be like you say! And it would make sense because despite one is the clone of the other, they are two different people and had different experiences, even their personality is sliiightly different!

Update - Happy New Year! (and some housekeeping)
Tumblr media
*TV static intensifies*
Hey everyone! π here.
Once again, I'd like to wish all of you formally a happy new year! This will be my third year with you, and I hope you're still enjoying my works and I appreciate you for your continued support.
Now that I have your attention, I'd like to give you an overall update on things happening behind the scenes, but first:
2023 Poll
I only posted 10 fics over the previous year, rip, but they're easily some of my most popular and positively received works in the library. Vote up to three of your favorite fics released from me during 2023! I was supposed to include Plaid on the list, but I didn't finish it on time, and as a result this poll also delayed lol. You can change your votes anytime if you have a change of heart. Poll begins from today until January 7, 2024 1:00 P.M. KST/12:00 AM EST.
2024 Road map
And because I only posted 10 fics all throughout 2023, my personal goal in 2024 is to increase the amount of releases, while continuing to improve the quality and maintain consistency. Hopefully. In real life, I'll be entering my third year of college once the holidays are over, and this may be the last full year of freedom I get. I might have to do on-the-job training (OJT) and write up my thesis, which requires a lot of personal commitment so I can finally graduate. I'm basically on borrowed time at this point.
Plans change. Shit happens. Everything that I'm about to say isn't exactly a 100% guarantee, and I really don't wanna promise anything because I've broken way too many promises. But here's the initial proposed list of idols that will be getting fics in 2024:
Hanni
Chaeryeong
Ningning
Yunjin
Rei
Sejeong
Nagyung
Haewon
Yuqi
Xiaoting
Minji (Newjeans)
Sakura
Youngeun
Karina
Sullyoon
Heejin
And this doesn't include idols I've already written :)
Looks ambitious—and it is—but if I can complete even half of that list, I feel as if I've already accomplished my goal.
Commissions
To the people who've been waiting for their requests, once again I'd like to apologize for the delays. I feel terrible knowing I've got so many projects in limbo because of circumstances beyond my control, and it feels as though I've betrayed your trust. However, we're picking things up and I'll gradually be releasing them throughout the early stages of 2024. Thank you for waiting just a little bit longer.
With that said, my personal plan is to implement the following so this never happens again: I'll be scaling back on the number of commissions I can accept at a time so there's more breathing room for requests as well as personal ideas/projects. Ideally, this would mean releasing fics in a 2-to-1 format: 2 commissions then 1 personal idea, but this would vary based on personal schedule and overall demand. Balancing real life commitments with burnout is a huge challenge, and I believe this is the most comfortable situation for me. Please understand that I'm still just one guy and I can't do everything all at once. If I could clone myself, I would abuse the shit out of that ability.
Closing
Overall, I've been blessed to have such a wonderful 2023, and I pray 2024 will be just as kind, if not kinder. I've experienced some of the highest highs and the lowest lows, but I personally feel that 2023 was the best year I've had in almost a decade, and this blog is one reason for that. It wasn't as productive as it used to be, but the increasing support is simply humbling. Heck, I've been entrusted to bring some of your visions/fantasies to life, which shows how much faith you have in me to succeed and bring you quality art. There's no amount of words that can express how truly grateful I am to you, the readers, my peers in the writing community, and to our heavenly Father.
Regardless of what happens to me or this blog, I hope 2024 will be kind to you all. Love you.
with grace,
peter / π

So this person @tiesthatbindel @neolavender @neolilac @itunisaaa @neosprivateacc who champions Sakura and holds that Naruto is straight (they said he wasn't gay, didn't say he was bi either, and didn't seem to question his sexuality at all),
Tumblr media Tumblr media
who holds Kishi is heteronormative and homophobic (🤦), has been harassing me on my private message and askbox. Here as well. They are using multiple accounts to do so.
Sorry guys, I had to shut off my ask box because this person is just refusing to leave me alone, all because I wrote lol to their comment. I was polite to them, and slightly dismissive perhaps, but this person is making it a mission to gather their followers to block me and hate on me. But seems their only followers are their own alt accounts. Heheh.
I think they feel slighted because I won't take them seriously. They really went from calling my content stellar, and God tier, to harassing me and trying to report me because I wrote a post over a year ago where I talked about my community being on the receiving end of systemic ethnic and religious discrimination in my country.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And a lot more but I blocked them. They are not only badmouthing me but denegrating other SNS fans that I happily interact with. And I am baffled. They simply won't stop.
To prove their point, they also gathered screenshots from a Hinata stan called 'chhote-pandit' who harassed me and several other SNS fans last year, someone who threatened to feed our intestines to their cats for shipping 'brothers', and called SNSers horny fujoshis and dirty lesbians. That person was banned by Tumblr. This person's account also seems to be partially banned. Why are SS and NH stans like this? Bah. Like it's some type of neurosis.
They think Sasuke shinden is canon. Lol. Thing is they went personal, and petty. While I put effort to link them to my content for their benefit, they skipped all of that and started to harass me on my message boards. When I saw that they were spamming my posts, I blocked them. Like I would with any other person. And THAT was their undoing.
Ah. Now one would think I am affected. And I do feel bad, both for myself and them because I didn't deserve this much craziness for saying fanfic writers should dig deeper and presented a research based and well reasoned perspective. And they chose to take offense and take it to a personal level, getting petty, verbally abusing me.
Meanwhile they don't know anything about my ethnicity, my background, my struggles. And if I told them, I can promise they will take it all back. Heh. It can be grounds for even suing them. Yeah, it's that significant. I come from a very interesting (and rare) socio politico cultural intersection. But I value my privacy and anonymity. One other SNSer asked me about it politely and as a response, I left some reading material with them as answer. It explains it much better than I can.
I also am not really bothered as of now because I think I hurt their ego real bad. Just by not taking them seriously. Because I said lol to their comments. They have bigger problems than my dismissal of them.
Anyway, I understand fandoms can be challenging and a lot of people with strong voices get dragged for it on Tumblr. Especially in Naruto fandom. Heh. But the simplest way for them to deal with it was to actually talk storytelling and characters with me, like I did, by sharing links to my content. Instead they got personal while not really doing any of that.
The reason I am here is the story, my boys, Kishi and I find it a lot of fun interacting with other SNSers here. I am grateful that people even make time to read my long winding, seriously long ass posts. Hehehe.
So if you see some stuff somewhere where people are talking about blocking me or talking shit, that's what it's about.
Cheerios. :)

I saw a post on Twitter recently where it basically stated that it was kind of like Orihime's ( from BLEACH ) Love confession about falling in love with the same person in five different lifetimes, but it was about Hinata being in love with Naruto in every different lifetime that the series has produced.
For example, OG series Hinata is in love with Naruto. In road to Ninja the meaner version and more outspoken version of Hinata is in love with Menma, that world's more stoic and aloof and straightforward version of Naruto. Even in the movie when he's not that same stoic personality as the original Menma to her is, she still likes Naruto with his more bubbly personality. And then finally with OG Naruto again but with the Infinite Tsukuyomi, with it being her dream it makes sense that she and Naruto would be together in them but also she has Neji and Hanabi there which is really cute cuz she loves her family.
Now the observation I made with Sakura is that she is not the same. Which is something I realized with her personality. I think the reason she likes Sasuke is because he's so indifferent towards her and no offense but I think she's the biggest pick me girl in the universe of Naruto. What I mean by that is that in OG Naruto, of course, like many other girls she is in love with Sasuke -- the bad boy who is standoffish to everyone. In road to Ninja, who takes over that personality trait? It's not Sasuke anymore. Sasuke is a goofy pervert and womanizer who is actually attracted to Sakura, and she's down for it until she sees his womanizing ways. The person her road to Ninja alternate likes is the person that adopted Sasuke's cold personality, which is Menma, that universe's Naruto. Now we don't get to see her Infinite Tsukuyomi dream due to plot armor, but you can be pretty damn sure that it involves her being with Sasuke just like how Hinata's involves her being with Naruto, and Ino's involves Sasuke and Sai fighting over her.
Anyway, what we can gather from this is like what I said. Sakura most definitely does not only like Sasuke for his looks but she mainly likes the personality of someone who admittedly treats her like shit. And I never read her novel but judging from the things I've seen from her novel, it kind of reinforces that. Sakura likes a challenge and the reason I say she's a pick me is because of that whole stigmatism that pick me girls all think that they can quote unquote fix him. That they can change him. She doesn't want someone that's going to cater to her and shower her with love like maybe Rock Lee and Naruto would do. She wants someone who, and her words in the Sakura novel, she can wear down and basically beat into submission AKA force her love on someone until they reciprocate it. Which is what she did to Sasuke. No I'm not going to sit here and say Sasuke never cared about her because he did. She was part of his team and she was part of his family that he made through team 7. But I don't believe for one second he turns into this simp and completely changes his personality for her given all the material we have that isn't novels that retcon a lot of things.
Anyway that's my point. Sakura is a pick me girl who's attracted to personalities of indifference and standoffish behavior who she believes she can make love her. She's the girl that wants the guy that everybody wants but he doesn't want anybody but her. It's no wonder kishimoto once described her love as nothing but an obsession. Cuz let's be honest, given who she is and what we've seen, does anybody really think that Sakura would give up if Sasuke chose another girl to be with?
I mean we've seen it in The Last that when Hinata thought that Naruto had feelings for somebody else due to not only his fan club but also the fact he was wearing his mother's scarf, which she didn't know about, she was ready to allow him to be happy even if it hurt her. For crying out loud, the entirety of the Naruto series she was friendzoned And even smiled after her confession when watching Sakura hug him. She does not show the personality traits of someone who is inherently jealous. Even Ino and Karin gave up their love for Sasuke, albeit Ino is a bit of a stretch because she moved on long ago before him and Sakura became a thing. Karin on the other hand selflessly helped out the woman who gained the affection of the man she loved and continues to support him and his family despite still holding strong feelings for him. I honestly don't see the same being said if it were reversed roles and Karin was the one who ended up with Sasuke and Sakura would be left to support. The only way I see her supporting that relationship is for personal attention from him, cuz like I said she is a pick me before pick me even became a thing.

Journal Entry #57 (part one)
Tumblr media
Journal Entry #56 (part three) // STORY INDEX
Victor
So, uh... it's been a really long time.
I'm embarrassed to say, I actually had to check to see when either of us last recorded anything. Turns out, the last entry was Yuri's, and he posted it way back in the middle of March, the day I got my glasses.
It's the seventh of June today. Oops. Talk about major radio silence.
But, just because we haven't posted anything, that doesn't mean our lives haven't been eventful for the past three months. Yuri and I have had quite a lot going on, and maybe our lack of updates is a testament to that.
We were consumed by planning, packing, and preparing Yuri's immigration application for part of the time. Somehow I forgot how much work is involved in an international move despite having already done it before, a little over two years ago. This time is different because it's not just me. It's also Yuri and our dogs, and we've got the purchase of a house thrown into the mix as well, just to make things more complicated. Add that to my and Yuri's respective recovery, continuing drama with the extended family, and some much-needed relationship repair with a few of our friends, and you'll see we've got a very full life indeed.
I'm happy to report that I'm fully recovered from my accident. I was in physio for my arms up until the end of April, but the physical therapist said I could stop the day I told her I was able to lift my own body weight — all 86 kilograms of it — on the pull-up bar at work. I showed her the video Tomiko made of me doing it with just one arm, and the PT said it was obvious I could manage my own physical rehabilitation from that point.
As for the post-concussion symptoms, I'm no longer getting any headaches or random bouts of nausea, and I'm not nearly as light-sensitive now. The first day I was able to go up the mountain again, I had to wear ski goggles because the light reflecting off the snow made my eyes hurt. I really don't like wearing those, and I was glad when I was comfortable enough to take them off.
Yeah, my return to the slopes... that was an event. It probably deserves a whole entry of its own, but let’s just say Yuri, Sakura and Sakura's husband Takeshi made such a big production of it that it's not a day I'll soon forget.
Yuri said he had to be there, so I bundled him up in his warmest clothes, and then Takeshi and I wrapped him in a blanket and hauled him up the mountain on a rescue sled that Takeshi borrowed from Mountain Patrol. Sakura followed with our gear.
Takeshi situated Yuri in a good position to see everything, while Sakura and I got ready, and then it was time. We only did a few runs on one of the intermediate trails, but that was fine by me. I was admittedly nervous, and I didn't think I was ready to practice on the slalom course or the expert slope.
My first run was awful in my opinion, but I felt like I was getting my form and my courage back by the middle of the second one. When I pushed off for the third run, I felt the old, familiar rush of adrenaline coursing through my body and everything was as fluid and natural as if I'd never been away.
By the end of the third trip down the mountain, I was ready to stop for the day. It'd taken way more energy than I'd anticipated, and I was looking forward to going home for a hot bath and then maybe some cuddling and a nap with Yuri. He was exhausted too, mostly from waving his arms around and yelling himself hoarse, cheering me on.
Anyway, you guys all know that I could go on and on forever about snowboarding, so I'll stop here before this entry really does become all about that.
I should tell you about the relatively new thing in my life, which is my glasses. I wasn't sure I'd be okay with them at first, mostly because I didn't like having something constantly touching my face, but I got used to them pretty quickly and now I barely notice them at all. For the first couple of weeks, I wore them throughout the entire day, at the suggestion of the optometrist, and only took them off if I was driving or snowboarding. Now I just put them on if I'm doing something where I need to see clearly close up, like playing games, using the computer or reading.
I'm thrilled that Dr. Ishida was totally right when she said my ability to read was more about vision than intellect. Since getting my glasses, I'm going through books like crazy. I didn't realize how entertaining reading could be, but I guess that's because it's difficult to have a good time doing something when you can only do it for five minutes before you start to feel like your eyeballs might fall out from the strain. Now, I can read for hours at a time if I want to, and it's awesome. Did you know there's a genre of action novels? Kind of like action movies, but you read the story yourself and create the movie part of it in your imagination. It's great.
Yuri likes my newfound ability to read just as much as I do, I think. There's also a genre of historical novels which he happily introduced me to, and then he convinced me that I should read to him at bedtime. So, that became our thing up until I left. We'd curl up in bed together and either I'd read some of his current book to him, or he'd read some of mine to me.
It's been hard for us to read to each other lately, though, since I left Japan on the fifteenth of May. Mom and Julian let me stay with them for a few days until the transaction for our house closed on the eighteenth, and then I moved into our forever home. Except, it didn't feel like our forever home without Yuri there. If I thought leaving Yuri behind in Japan was painful, settling into that spacious house all alone might've been one of the most heartbreaking experiences I've had in recent memory.
Okay, I'm not technically alone. Sachiko the ghost is here, but sharing the place with her hasn't turned out to be as fun as I imagined.
For the first three or four days, I didn't see her at all, and when I finally did find her, she scared the crap out of me by making the tea machine levitate. Apparently, she was mad that I'd used her favourite mug for my tea.
Robert and Kim had left a few dishes in the house, including two mugs, and I'd used one of them because it was conveniently there. How was I supposed to know which one was Sachiko's? Up to that point, I didn't even know ghosts could drink tea, much less that they'd have a mug preference.
I think Sachiko and I are going to need time to get to know each other. She doesn’t seem to trust me, and after the tea machine incident, I’m kinda wary of her too.
The first night I spent in the house, I barely slept at all. Yuri and I chatted on FaceTime until his mother told him to get off his iPad and come have lunch, and then I was on my own. Noon for him was midnight for me, and there were a lot of hours between then and morning when I'd be able to talk to him again.
That was probably super confusing, wasn't it? I guess I should back up a bit and properly explain what's going on.
Just as Yuri and I both feared, he couldn't leave in the middle of his nutrition rehabilitation therapy. We found out that even with Dr. Kasongo's string-pulling to get him onto Dr. Kim's patient caseload, there still might be a months-long waiting time for him to see the doctor and the other professionals for the treatment he needs. He's already on the list, but since there's no way for him to transition seamlessly from one care provider to another, Dr. Kasongo suggested that it'd be better for him to finish his therapy and get his eating routine stabilized before he moves to another country. We agreed with her recommendation because he's been making such great progress, and we didn't want to derail it with a long interruption of his care.
It was a tough choice, but we ultimately decided that I’d travel home by myself to deal with the house closing, and so I could walk my mom down the aisle at her wedding. After the wedding, I'm planning to spend a week in Brindleton Bay with Grandpa Michael, and then I’ll return to Mt. Komorebi to be with Yuri until he's ready to travel. It isn't ideal and neither of us particularly likes it, but as they say, needs must.
The other half of the plan was for Yuri and the dogs to move in with his parents while I'm away. Neither his parents nor I felt comfortable with the idea of him staying alone, and since Mrs. Okamoto is on a leave of absence from work so she can devote her attention to taking care of baby Kinai, that means Yuri will never be without someone nearby if he needs anything. He complained about having to live with his parents temporarily, but I think he's secretly relieved to be close to his mother and to let her help look after him.
It's fascinating to me, how Yuri and I slipped so easily into our old habits that we had at the beginning of our relationship. We'd originally met online in November, not long after Yuri turned twenty and just before I turned twenty-one. His birthday is the twentieth of September and mine is the second of December, in case you may not recall. By February of the following year, we knew for sure that we were in love and wanted to be together forever, and I literally spent the next three years hoarding my money and learning Japanese so I could eventually travel there to be with him. Anyway, During that time, we talked on the phone or on FaceTime least twice every single day, and there were usually lots of texts and pictures and the occasional email or video exchanged in between.
Needless to say, scheduling our calls was important because of that pesky twelve-hour time difference between where I lived and where he lived. We used to talk at seven in the morning and seven at night. We took turns contacting each other, and to avoid confusion, each of us would call when it was morning in our time zone.
Morning calls were harder for me because I was going to college when we first met and then working once I'd graduated, and I could never talk too long as I was getting ready to go out for the day. Yuri's morning calls were better since he worked from home and could still get things done while chatting with me. Plus, it was evening for me then, so I had plenty of time.
Time isn't as much of an issue for us now, since neither of us are working. I resigned from my position at the fitness center in Kiyomatsu, and of course you already know Yuri is on medical leave until at least September. We still begin our video calls at seven o'clock, though. It's nice to have that consistency.
Something we've started doing in this new version of our long-distance relationship is eating together. I’ll usually have an evening snack while he has his breakfast, and sometimes he nibbles on a little something while watching me have mine.
Anyone viewing this might get the impression that we’ve become totally obsessed with food and eating over the last few months. That might be kinda true. but you gotta realize that for Yuri’s therapy to be effective, we always have to be mindful and use a lot of positive reinforcement around eating. So yeah, maybe we do talk about it a lot and maybe I do make a big deal of it even if he eats one small bite of solid food, but one bite without fear or stress is way better than being too anxious to eat at all, and I’d prefer to keep the forward momentum going.
When I first got here, Yuri was still having almost exclusively formula feeds at breakfast time. Then, one day last week when he called me, he appeared on screen with some sort of juice at the corner of his mouth, and when I asked him if he'd been eating, he proudly showed me the tiny bowl of pitted cherries he was snacking on.
"I like these," he said. "I ate seven of them so far."
A quick count revealed three left in the bowl, which he finished during our conversation. Ten cherries may not seem like a lot, but for Yuri, it's huge.
"Have you eaten anything else for breakfast?" I asked.
"Rice crackers with apricot jam, and Yuki let me try her cereal," he said, and then hastened to add. "I used my own spoon."
"You're doing great," I praised him. "Do you even know how proud I am of you right now?"
"Thank you."
"Are you having your formula too?" I asked.
He slid his chair back and lifted up the hem of his shirt so I could see the tube snaking out from under it. "I need the protein. But, guess what?"
"What?"
"I didn't have formula at lunch or dinner yesterday. I ate everything on my own. Oh, and I tried sparkling water."
"Did you like it?"
He wrinkled his nose cutely. "No."
"Better stick with regular water, then."
He nodded. "Mama's making salmon onigiri today. I'm going to try to eat a whole one."
"You like those," I recalled. "You've eaten a whole one before, so I know you can do it."
"Hopefully I've got room for it after my milkshake," he said.
I'll confess I was rendered momentarily speechless by that. I stared hard at the screen, wondering if I'd heard him correctly. "Your... milkshake?" I stammered after a second or two. "As in, actual milk and stuff? But, aren't you—
"Lactose intolerant?" Yuri said. "I'm not, actually."
"What?" I blurted.
"Trust me, I was shocked too."
"But, how...?"
"Remember, Dr. Kasongo scheduled me for all those food tolerance tests? You know, to see if I'm allergic to anything, or to see if I have low tolerance for gluten or sugar or... whatever?"
"Yeah," I said. "Mostly, I remember being stressed out because she scheduled it for after I left, and I couldn't go with you."
"I would've liked for you to be with me, but it was okay," he said. "Papa came with me, and it wasn't as scary as I imagined. We got the results yesterday."
"And you're really not lactose intolerant?"
"I'm really not. My nutritionist thinks it may have been a psychological intolerance more than a physical one."
"Meaning what, exactly? Like, dairy products made you feel sick because you convinced yourself they would?"
"Something like that," he said. "Mama says she thinks it might've been partially her fault. She says she tried to get me to drink milk and eat cheese when I was little, but it always gave me an upset stomach, so she eventually stopped trying. I guess we all just assumed I was lactose intolerant after that. Then, any time I had anything with milk in it, it was more my anxiety that was making me feel sick than my body's actual response to it."
"Huh," I said. "So... milkshakes?"
"Strawberry milkshakes. They're delicious and they're packed with calories." He beamed, clearly pleased with himself. "After my appointment yesterday afternoon, we all went out for American food.”
“That’s where you had the milkshake, I guess?”
“Mm-hmm. Mama and I shared a salad, but I tried one of Yuki’s French fries. Papa and Yuki both got milkshakes with their meal, and Yuki talked me into tasting that as well since we found out it wouldn't hurt me."
"And you were okay?"
"I was a little nervous afterwards and I thought I might be sick, but I kept telling myself not to panic. When I settled down, my stomach settled down too."
That was major progress. The old Yuri likely would’ve panicked, and he would’ve been throwing up and miserable for the rest of the day. Of course, he still might have had pain and an upset stomach regardless of what he ate or drank, but it made me wonder what percentage of his problems in the past were due to real digestive issues related to his illness and what percentage were caused by his severe anxiety around food.
He keeps telling me that he doesn’t like his psychologist and that he doesn’t think their sessions are doing any good, but I’m convinced somebody in that equation must be doing something right. Three months ago, Yuri wouldn’t have gotten within ten meters of American food, much less tried fries or a milkshake. Just the smell of deep-fried food would’ve been enough to make him nauseous back then.
Honestly, I don’t think he even realizes how far he’s come since he first started his nutrition rehab back in March.
"That's awesome," I said. "You’re doing amazing. And you’re having another go at milkshakes today?”
He nodded. "Papa bought strawberry ice cream. Did you know he knows how to make milkshakes at home?"
"I didn't know he knew how, but it's pretty easy anyway. Not much different than making a smoothie."
"Oh. So does that mean I could have extra strawberries in my strawberry milkshake? Or some other fruit?"
I laughed. "If you wanted to."
"When Papa comes home for lunch, I have to tell him." He looked excited. "This could be an adventure."
"Let me know how it goes."
He grinned at me. "I will."
I have no words to describe how happy it made me to see Yuri like that, and for the first time in a while, I let myself believe we were approaching something like a normal existence.
If he keeps going this way, he might be off his feeding tube entirely by the end of the summer. Then, we'll be able to come back here together and settle into the life we're both dreaming of.
I'm not naïve enough to think it'll be all smooth sailing after this, but I'm optimistic enough to believe we’re finally going to make it through the worst of the proverbial storm.

Hey Chatte hope all is well! I saw your special Narusakra comic and your most recent post on IG showing off the Crown of the Sun for Sakura. Can’t wait to read & see how she gets there. I saw a lot of awesome pieces for NarSaukra day so I want to thank you and the rest of the community for keeping it alive.
I have been rereading Kaika and the chapters 11-13 so far are my favorite. I’m excited to how you are going to make the aliens/gods work and to be honest you have done a better than the canon. As for everyone’s favorite snake sanin I’m interested to how he ends in the plot. While personally I didn’t care for him be a “good” guy in canon in the present. He will always be a creature of habit and self serving. So I’m excited. Also a headcannon I thought of regarding him and Shina’s Gen. He would be interested Shina the most compared to the U twins probably feed up with Uchilas in general. Also given the fact that he probably shoot’s himself for overlooking Naruto and Sakura originally for the more polished product in Sauake. Shina also looking and sharing personality with Minmato would be funny because he would take as Minmato ghost coming back and trolling him. Best part is Shina would have no idea how much his presence would be triggering for him lol.
One last point it’s a little something I wanted to share with you. So I used to live in this suburb next to Newark NJ, USA and in Newark there is this section called Forest Hills. This neighborhood is famous for two reasons one is its old fashion mansions and Branch Brooke Park, which has over 5,000 Japanese cherry blossoms trees planted there. They have their own cherry blossoms festival and everything.
Hiii dear, welcome back again to my inbox!
Glad to hear you liked the NaruSaku special and Sakura's Crown of the Sun art.
To be honest, can't wait to get there myself. I have sooo many interesting ideas about how she gets it. Too many even, lol. I finally got to understand what other writers were meaning when they said you will get to discard some ideas at some point.
In the beginning I was like naa, I won't be doing that. But with time the ideas developed so much, that I see no other way than to drop a few from the beginning or better said, reform some of them to fit the new, updated idea lol.
Also thank you for your kind words. It is my pleasure, and many other artists, I'm sure, to keep the community alive.
After all, it's just pure love for them and that's it. We're free of the shackles of canon, so yay for us!
Now, to get back to Kaika.
First of all, thank you once again for your compliments! I'm so happy to see you liked what - at least - I'm trying to do there with the Otsutsukis.
I believe that the idea with them was not bad. It's the execution that's problematic, imo. That's why I tried to take a different route with them, while still referencing the canon element. I will be referencing a lot of elements from the OG franchise, because I do like the idea. I just don't like the execution.
As for Orochimaru well... We have a here saying in my country that says the wolf changes its fur, but not its habits.
What I can say is that, that's what I'll follow. Narratively as well.
Because like you said, deep down, he's a creature of habit. Habits are our second nature. That's why it's not that easy to change one self and you first gotta change your habits.
In OG it is shown to us that Oro didn't actually changed his habits at all, he is just being let loose. Which narratively makes so little sense?
You tell me that the man who basically put in motion everything that we've been witnessing along the path of Naruto manga, is just going to be left to do whatever he wants because... he's a necessary evil?
That's not how you act with the necessary evil. You don't let it loose and just barely keep him under supervision, imo.
If anything, he's a "joker" type of character. You never know when he's gonna pop off the box to scare ya away with some machiavellian ploy.
As for your headcanon of him and Shina, well, there is a common element in there that we have. I can't say that he's fed-up with the Uchihas (after all, Uchihas were his obsession), but...
I have a certain idea in mind about the path I have with him and him overlooking Naruto & Sakura's family, generally, because well, Sakura Haruno doesn't come from any prestigious clan that could benefit his pursuits, right?
And yet, surprise-surprise, the ones you least expect are the ones who get to bring the biggest turnarounds.
The thing is, I have two routes I want to take with him in terms of his eventual demise and I'm undecided on which side to go with, lol.
One involved him and Tsunade and was kinda dramatic, and the other one involves NaruSaku family, ironically. So I really don't know which way to go.
Because all this will be happening in Kaika Shinsei's timeline, which I am yet to settle.
I guess I'll see after I finish writing Saisei how things evolve until then, so that'll probably help me decide.
And WOOW, thank you so much for sharing that piece of info with me?! I ADORE cherry blossoms.
I grew-up with them and other types of blossoms, so for me, spring blossoms, especially cherry ones, are very special.
Actually the city where I moved has some parks filled with
I dream of travelling to Japan one day and live the original cherry blossoms season experience. But until then I enjoy the wanna-be one from here haha.
ANyway, thanks once again for the ask. Hope you have an amazing rest of your time today/tonight. <3

Perhaps 💕 + Danganronpa? :O
Tumblr media
Mwah Mwah you're both getting blown kisses I've wanted to talk about Danganronpa ships for a WHILE now and suddenly I have two so very blessed.
Problimatic ships and Danganronpa Spoilers under the cut
Okay so first of all well established at this point in Fandoms with just a Lotta Guys I tend to get latched onto one guy (gender neutral) and ship them with basically everyone all at once, and for Danganronpa that Guy is Kazuichi Soda
The ideal is Sonia/Kazuichi/Gundham polycule. I think Sonia and Gundham are Queerplatonics who are bonding over their crush on Kazuichi, meanwhile Kazuichi is convinced they're dating and is steaming over it in pure Incel rage. He is their pathetic little Meow Meow
Soda/Teruteru I see every here and there and it's easily my favorite Teruteru ship. They're unnormal about the girls in their class together while holding hands and kissing on the mouth and Soda will say "No Homo right?" and Teruteru always just smirks. Yes Homo, Soda. Always Homo.
I don't know who came up with Soda/Nekomaru but it does slap I will agree. Big loud guy X Little loud guy. Nekomaru tosses Soda around like a football
Also who came up with Soda/Fuyuhiko because I LOVE them!!! Soda and his scary manlet boyfriend. I am rattling them so hard. This goes very good specifically with Transfemme Kazuichi btw
Soda/Hajime is incredibly funny Hajime is so tired of Soda and Soda is all about Hajime they are just Bros being guys being dudes I adore them. I hope they kiss with tongue
Mmmm I want Kazuichi to kiss the robot Soda/Kiibo is so freaken cute Mechanic/Robot ships are always cute and correct I want them to kiss on the mouth so baaaadly
Soda/Miu reads so very sibling to me I don't know why but whenever I see them in fanart together my brain says they are Brother and Sister and also they both kiss Kiibo on the mouth. She thinks Incest is hot, he thinks she's disgusting but also his taste in women is based on her. Like Akihisa and his Sister from Baka and Test kind of dynamic.
Soda/Chihiro is SO cute this is again just back to Kiibo tho they are Robot friends she is the exact kind of sweet little cute thing Soda is into he is for sure one of her biggest fans this is also another speisifically with Transfemme Soda kind of ship
I think Kokichi/Soda would be a very funny unserious ship to get in to. something about it gives me Age Regressor Friends vibes
I would love more Soda ships if anyone has any more with the dynamic in mind let me know I am always all ears for them
Now for everyone else
Okay let's start off with something everyone hates; I like Despaircest, but not in it's canon form. Manipulation and worship is fine and all, but I also just love They are all they have on this bitch of an earth Twin Ships, and Junko is really good for that, given how much she hates everything. Mukuro was Junko's last shred of sanity before she vanished
I have a real thing for Danganronpa Polyships, I'm a real big fan of Kyoko/Makoto/Byakuya as a solid Post-Game throuple. Kyoko and Byakuya are sharing the twink begrudgingly
Also OT3 Chihiro/Taka/Mondo?? Love them the trio of all time. They all kiss on the mouth and hold hands and love eachother very much. I want them to own an apartment together and live a very chill Slice of Life anime style existence
Sakura/Aoi is so very sweet and good. Wholesome gorlfriends. They would pummel you to death for speaking bad about the other. Massive Femme Little Butch gorls I love them
Celeste/Hifumi is my ideal I love them so much they deserve so much more. Fantastic self ship polycule content from them as well.
I saw someone once ship Hiro/Byakuya and I think that's so incredibly funny. Ships where the one guy is nothing by annoyed by his partner are always welcome
I have to respect Toko/Komaru sense I stole my entire self ship with Toko from the basis of that ship basically. I don't like Komaru all that much but I will admit she and Toko kiss on the mouth and are very cute for sure
I think Nagito/Makoto is a very funny one sided kind of ship. Nagito cannot be normal about the other ultimate lucky student to save his life. Makoto is dense as dense can be. Everyone is holding Nagito back.
Another OT3 Hajime/Nagito/Chiaki is very good two braincells and their pathetic wet kitten boyfriend. Hajime and Chiaki also kiss but if they do Nagito will stare at them and make it very weird he just loves to see ultimates in love
Whoever first shipped Imposter/Ibuki I love you so much I cannot for the life of me remember where the basis for that ship comes from but it's back of my mind always
But also Imposter/Ryota from DR3 is so so so SO good I love them. Imposter pushing Ryota to eat to stand and stretch and take breaks and go to class and get out of his room and exist. I love them. Very Kazuaki/Hitori core.
I am not immune to Peko/Fuyu he loves her she is devoted to him one day she'll be better be more her own person and she'll finally be able to love him back. Big "That's my wife!!!!" possibilities. The best Het ship ever written (untrue)
Mahiru/Hiyoko is also very good a very specific flavor or WLW that I for some reason don't see as much as Sakura/Aoi despite them being the same type of Close? I think they're sweet
Nekomaru/Akane are Queerplatonics I can't see them kissing but they do need to be in physical contact with one another at all times. Catch them hugging all over one another
Oooh I think Ibuki/Sonia is very good Good girl Wild girl she was a skater boy style. I think they'd be great girlfriends
This ones for that one artist who draws adorable Teruteru/Hajime, I have no idea where that one comes from but the artist themself is very sweet
Not enough people talk about Korekiyo/Sonia they would be perfect together they're both so weird and creepy and I think they'd get along like a house on fire
Someone on my dash ships Gonta/Celeste and I cannot for the life of me figure out why but I am on board I suppose??
OT3 evolved it's OT4 time I love Kaede/Shuichi/Kaito/Maki they are a chain holding hands I adore them SO much. A loop that can go both directions
I think I'd like Himiko/Tenko better if Tenko was written with any kind of good intention, but everything she says and does is written so poorly I just... I have a hard time liking her. I want to though.
Miu/Kiibo/Kokichi is one that grew on me long after I'd finished V3. I think they'd be a very chaotic duo. The exact opposite energy as Sonia/Kazuichi/Gundham
I also like the fan works of Gonta/Kokichi. I don't like the way Kokichi acts about Gonta in canon like at all but the ship isolated is very cute. Full of deceit and hate X Physically cannot lie good boy
Kirumi/Kokichi is very much Carer/Age Regressor to me and I do enjoy it sometimes. I feel kind of bad demoting Kirumi to just a mommy type though
Gonta/Ryoma is so very *Chefs kiss* you understand??? The Big and the Small. The Nerd and the Jock. The Gentleman and the Criminal. It's about the subversion of expectations
Oh and Ryoma/Kirumi is INCREDIBLY cute I have really nothing for it other than Ryoma deserves a badass wife. All Ryoma ships will work on me because I just want Ryoma to be happy. Everyone kiss Ryoma on the mouth
On that note Ryoma/Kaede also whole cute 10/10 would love to see more. Kaede also deserves all the good in the world
I went very crazy for a while for Gonta/Kiyo because of that one manga where they got their stupid long ass hair tangled together. I love that for them
Y'all want a weird one?? I think Monotaro/Miu is SUPER cute. I love ALL of their interactions in canon. I would ADORE seeing more art of them together. Tiny bear and his inventor Mommy. There's something there
One more DR OT3 for the road: Chisa/Kyosuke/Juzo are fantastic and I wish we'd gotten to see more of them before the Despair.

The heart thing but im not gonna describe how to kill you cause youre a cool mutual however i wanna hear what makes naruto a good anime and also what makes it bad also i wanna hear your favourite headcanons of the guy on your pfp and sakura if you have any
I wanna hear you absolutely infodumps me into oblivion. Obliterate me with your naruto facts, headcanon and whatever in betweens. Take your time to answer this i will be waiting, until that here take this cat with ya ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
(giggles and kicks my feet) thank you so much for this ask!!! ^_^
ok so what makes Naruto a good anime in my opinion are the characters, their emotions and how they relate to one another. (also it's like really gay) Naruto has a pretty big cast and a ton of filler episodes, so a lot of the time, it's used to get into different character combinations, specifically at the end of the original series, with the 80 episode stretch of filler, (honestly a bit excessive) that's basically just naruto hanging out with the other teams. filler is truly a double-edged blade, because if its not good, it is a SLOG... i didn't skip any episodes until like ep 450, where it breaks from the war (exiting, fun, plot-relevant) to cut to a parallel universe retelling of THE ENTIRE SERIES UP TO THAT POINT. it lasts like 20 episodes, and sasuke's a cop (old, dumb, acab)
another gripe i have with Naruto (the show) is best summarized by that post that's like "i miss when naruto ran around and bit people. now he's just a liberal" cause he kind of stops growing as a person at age 16. "as soon as you question your ideals, it's all over" ok buddy. how about you learn and grow with your experiences. other than that that though love the show, though I do think it's an interesting choice to redeem/offer justification for every single (canon) villain in the whole series.
OK my favorite head cannons for rock lee (pfp guy) and sakura... I think that rock lee speaks without contractions because he wants to give every sentence his all, and not take the easy way out. in a filler episode, rock lee builds a training dojo, and I think that's super in character for him, and I bet tenten helped him fix it up, and she's got a tool closet in there or something. I also hc that bor🤢 boruto Era 🤮 lee is like a taijutsu teacher and works with shino. as for sakura, I think she and Lee spar together all the time so she can improve her speed. I also hc her as an aro lesbian because I can #relate to.. the whole sasuke deal. I also feel like she would take up art, once she takes a break from work.
I actually also have a theory about naruto (the boy) I've never talked about, I actually think naruto can sense chakra signatures. this is because he sensed zabuza during the land of waves arc. it would also make sense that his sensing ability is just enhanced by sage mode instead of pulled out of nowhere. not to mention that the most powerful and precise sensor introduced is an Uzumaki as well. (shout out to my girl Karin) probably the reason it never comes up is because he doesn't know what a sensor is 💛
uh wow that got long. starting this I was worried I didn't know enough about naruto to infodump, for some reason (I've literally been obsessed since February why would I think that) anyways THANK YOU SO MUCH for sending this ask, it literally made my week :D💛💛💛 I know for a fact you are also a very cool mutual (I have no lame mutuals) and have a great week!

5th Day - Bonnie and Clyde (Scene 2)
Sorry the post is late today, the poll didn't finish in time and I was busy. Here's the post, though! I'll try to post tomorrows update at the usual time, so it will be before the poll actually ends. Make sure to get your votes in early!
――――I'll go wake Fuji-Nee up. I know I'm making an absurd choice, but I want to find out what happened last night. In the worst possible case, Fuji-Nee and Sakura would have made fun of Saber to make her angry, and I'm sure Sakura is mad about Saber staying.
I don't even have to think how troubling it would be to have Saber mad. And Sakura's pretty stubborn too. So I'm sure it'd be best to ask Fuji-Nee, since she's the one who'll be over it if they did have a fight last night!
I roll up my sleeves and stand in front of the door. …It seems Sakura and Saber are awake and in the living room and the dojo.
"―――Here I go. Fuji-Nee, it's morning!" I slide open the shouji. And I step into the tiger's den. And I'm flung outside.
"Shirou? What are you doing there? It's almost time for breakfast, you know?"
She plays innocent as soon as she appears. I see, I see. So she doesn't remember grabbing me, rolling three times, and throwing me, huh?
"I'm not lying here because I want to. If you have any memory of it, at least help me up." "Hm? Oh, I think I remember doing a special attack against this super robot that came to invade Earth."
Fuji-Nee opens and closes her hand. The question marks appearing beside her make me think that she might recall the event, but she probably won't.
"Oh well. Let's hurry and go eat breakfast. I can't have Sakura-chan and Saber-chan waiting." Dismissing what happened with a mere "oh well" is inexcusable. I'll get her back for this someday, but there's something I need to ask her first.
"Wait up, tiger. What do you mean by 'Saber-chan'?" "Hm? Saber-chan is Saber-chan. Sakura-chan, Saber-chan, and I are an alliance of girls that spent the night together!" "That's a big lie. There are only two girls."
"……!!!???" H-How was I hit when we were at least ten feet apart…!?
"This is the alliance of girls, over." "O-Over…" …I see, she rushed in here in a flash. As expected from a black belt. I keep forgetting, but Fuji-Nee was a well-known swordsman back in her student days.
"…Oh well. But you guys got along well? …I thought Sakura wouldn't approve of her stay." "Hm? Oh, I see now. You're pretty kind, Shirou. You were worried that Sakura-chan and Saber-chan wouldn't get along well, right?"
"…Of course I'll worry. I decided on Saber's stay without her consent, so I'm sure she doesn't like it. …I don't like it if she hates me for it, but I can endure it. But I don't like it if Saber and Sakura feel bad."
"It's fine. Sakura-chan and I found out that Saber-chan's a good girl. Well, Sakura-chan isn't used to her yet since Saber-chan's kind don't get along with her kind. But they've made peace, so there's nothing for you to worry about."
I don't know what she's so happy about as she makes her way back to the house. Well, I'm happy too since the problem here is solved now.
"…Fuji-Nee left her student lying on the ground…" What can I do? I can't stand up after hitting the ground so hard…
Everyone says "itadakimasu". This is the first time I've had breakfast in a group of four, and it feels rather relaxing.
"Hm? This is a bit thin. Did you change something, Sakura?" "Yes. I thought Saber-san wouldn't be used to miso soup. So I didn't put too much miso in it."
"Yes. I like this miso soup better than last night's. But please cook at your leisure since I am used to Japanese food. It will be for our mutual benefit."
"R-Really!? Wow, you're using chopsticks. ……I'm surprised. You sure are multi-talented."
"I am used to it. …But to be honest, chopsticks are tiring. I do believe it is better than fork and spoon, though." "Yeah. Fork and spoon over chopsticks. Oh, that's not what you put on it. You have to put soy sauce on that."
"…I see. Thank you for your advice." "No problem. I'll take a dried seaweed as a reward. Give me seconds, Shirou." "Here. Don't eat too much and fall asleep again."
"Sensei? I think you should hold back if you're going to be participating in the morning practice…" "This is fine. I have to eat a lot to make it until lunch. And you're not one to talk, eating riceballs after the morning practice."
"――――! You knew about that, Sensei!?" "Heh. I was watching you because you were in the corner acting suspiciously. You shouldn't, you know? A girl your age shouldn't eat two meals in the morning. The devil comes down on your scale like a terrorist. According to my estimate, your weight right now is――――"
"No! Please don't, Sensei! I won't come cook anymore if you say it!" "Man." "A-And I only eat like that once in a while. It's not like I do it every day!"
"Really? I thought you made riceballs every day since you always cook extra rice." "Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-You knew, Senpai!?"
"Haha, that won't do, Sakura-chan. Shirou's pretty sharp on details. I bet he knew from the first time you made it." "First time? You mean during summer last year?"
"――――――――!!!!" "…? Is there dust in the air, Sakura? Why are you waving your hands in the air?"
――――Breakfast proceeds like that. The breakfast table is twice as loud as usual. Then suddenly…[r] "―――Over fifty victims were found earlier this morning, and they are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital――――" I see some disturbing news on the TV.
"…Huh? A gas leak in Shinto again? Wow, it's fifty people this time."
"Let's see… Nobody could contact the victims since last night, so some of their families called the company. But the guard found nobody in there… Why is that? Why didn't the guard notice when they were in there, unconscious since last night? That's much more than neglecting your job."
Fuji-Nee must have lost her appetite as she stops eating her third bowl of rice.
"……" Saber's watching the news with an intense expression. …In that case, I'm not mistaken. I don't know the motive, but this is something that's done by a Master. I can say it's fortunate that nobody died just like all the other gas leak incidents――――
"Man, it's getting really dangerous. You can't work in Shinto for a while. You have some money in reserve, so take a break during times like these, okay?"
"――――――――" I'm happy that she's worried about me, but I can't reply to her. I know this is no time to be working, but I'm sure I won't be able to come home as often, now that I'm in a war. Then―――if I'm ever late, I'll have to lie to them that I'm working―――
After finishing the clean-up, I go to the front door. Fuji-Nee and Sakura already left for their morning practice.
Saber is following me like she did yesterday. But I can't let her do so today. The weekends are fine, but there's no way I can take her to school on a weekday.
"Saber, this is as far as you're coming. Stay here while I go to school. You'll attract a lot of attention if you come to school. Masters shouldn't stand out, right?"
"――――――" She must not agree, as she protests silently.
"I'm saying it's all right. I won't be attacked where there are people, so the school's a safe place. In any case, I can manage protecting myself."
"――――!" Saber's brow twitches. She must have some argument about me being able to protect myself.
"Let me ask you. Does that mean you can beat the enemy by yourself?"
"Of course not. I'm saying I can avoid danger by myself during daytime. I won't go to places with no people, and I'll come home before dark. You can let me do so, right? You have to rest to preserve your magical energy, so you don't have to follow me."
"…I see. I have to believe in you if you say so." Saber lets out a sigh as her shoulders slump. …She's seriously worried about me. I feel bad about turning her down.
"…I'm sorry, Saber. But it's all right. And you'll know if I'm in danger, right? You can come to me if that ever happens."
"No. Our connection is weak. The only time I will sense your danger is when your life is in danger. It would be too late if I head out at such a time." "Hm. Then I should call for you myself?"
"Yes. If you call for me in your mind, it will be transmitted to me, your Servant. …Please use the Command Spell if you believe that will not be in time either. I shall be able to jump through space to aid you if I have its backup."
Jump through space…? That's pretty much like sorcery. The right to absolute obedience――――the Command Spell is that powerful?
"…All right. I'll try my hardest not to end up in such a situation. I'll come home before dark, so please stay here." I wave her goodbye and open the door. Then…
"…Yes. Please be careful, Shirou. Your school is abnormal. Please be on guard all the time. And please do not go near Rin." Saber says a strange thing with a serious expression.
"…? Are you saying Tohsaka will attack me at school? That's impossible."
She's a true magus. She is bound by the Association's rule to avoid involving innocent people. And most of all, she wears the mask of an honor student. I think she'll greet me normally if I do see her.
"…I would like to believe so. Rin is not the type to change her decision out of worry of how she appears to other people. It seems she feels hostility against you, so it will do no harm to be on guard." "Fine, fine. I know it's needless worry, but I'll be careful."
It's past seven o'clock. It's later than usual, but I should still make it on time without hurrying.
It's 7:40. I go through the gate, and as I make my way to the school building… "――――――――" I feel something strange and stop.
"…What is this? It's not like something's strange, right…?"
It's not like someone's watching me or that something looks different. If anything, it's that it's not that lively. It feels like the students, and even the trees and the buildings, are dull in color.
"…I bet it's just me. I'm sure that I'm stressed out from all the events that have been happening." I close my eyes and rotate my shoulders. …But. The strange feeling doesn't disappear even after that.
I get up to the third floor and head to my classroom. Then. I run into Tohsaka.
"Yo." I know her, so I greet her. "[line11]" But Tohsaka freezes as if she's seen a ghost.
"Tohsaka? What? Is there something on my face?" I wipe my cheek with my uniform. "[line11]" But Tohsaka doesn't even reply. She looks away from me and goes back to her classroom.
"……????" What was that? I don't think it's like her to ignore someone who greeted her.
"――――――――" The strange feeling hits me again when I go into my classroom. Someone might've brought snacks in here, as I smell a slight sweetness in the air.
"…The classroom's like always." I head to my seat while greeting the guys. There are about ten more minutes until homeroom starts. I look around the room, and I notice a seat without a bag.
"Shinji's absent, huh?" Come to think of it, he wasn't at the club yesterday either. Shinji is actually quite punctual and he tries hard to follow the rules. It worries me a bit that a guy like him has been absent for two days.
It's lunchtime. I usually go to the student council room when I make my own lunch. It's because the guys will take my food and the girls will make fun of me if I eat in the classroom.
"What's wrong, Issei? You're not eating lunch?" "No, I just finished eating. I'm just really sleepy right now. Wake me up when lunch is over." Issei then puts his head on the table.
"Did you stay up all night or something? I thought you had to go to bed at eleven at the temple." "Yes… But I'm having difficulty sleeping lately. My fatigue won't go away no matter how much I sleep. So for the past few days, I've been sleeping whenever I get the chance."
"……? What is that? You shouldn't be sleepy if you're sleeping every time you get the chance." "That's true. But sleep won't let me rest, so I have to sleep to rest. …I know I'm contradicting myself, but I can't help feeling sleepy."
"―――Man, it's too early to be spring, you know?" "In spring one sleeps a sleep that knows no dawn, huh? You certainly got me there." Issei doesn't even try to get up. …I guess it can't be helped. It looks serious, so I'll stay here until lunch is over――――
"Huh? Someone's here, Issei." "I don't care. Tell them the student council isn't open today." "I can say so if you want… But I think it's Kuzuki-Sensei." "――――. Hm, that's bad."
Issei gets up slowly and opens the door. "Ryudou. It is about the archery club this morning――――" Kuzuki-Sensei stops his words after seeing that I'm here. Kuzuki Souichirou is the homeroom teacher of class 2-A and also in charge of the student council. He's a very strict teacher and quite blunt.
"Huh…? Then she didn't even go home?" "Correct. We will probably call the police. I believe you know, but do not spread the rumor."
"―――I know. Then how about Matou? The student in the archery club said he saw her and Matou together." "It is the same for him as well. Matou Shinji is absent today and his house is empty. His sister, Matou Sakura, was staying over at Fujimura-Sensei's house last night, so she does not know anything."
…Issei and Kuzuki are talking about disturbing stuff. Summing up what they said, it seems that a student's been missing since last night, and Shinji's the last one to talk to that student――――
"Sorry to interrupt. I am sure the school's curfew will be set at an earlier time now." Quickly stating his business, Kuzuki leaves the student council room.
"…Geez. Have you seen Shinji, Emiya?" "No. I didn't go to the archery club this morning. You should know as well that he's absent, right?" "I see. I hope that's the case…"
Issei's face clouds up. ―――Geez. It's not something I should rudely butt in on, but it seems this concerns the archery club. I'm sorry for Issei, but I should get some information out of him.
"Issei. Who is this person that hasn't been home? Well, I already know Shinji hasn't been home." "Hm…? Well, you're no outsider, so I guess you can know."
"It all happened last night. We got a contact from a family saying that their daughter had yet to come home from the archery club. When we contacted the students who actually went to the club, we found out it was Shinji that last talked to this student." "――――" Talked to Shinji…?
"Hold on. Shinji wasn't at the practice yesterday. And I parted with everyone at the school gate."
"Yes, it seems you were there as well. But this is after that. When a student returned to school to get something he forgot, he saw Shinji in front of the archery range. It seems the missing student and Shinji were having a quarrel."
"――――――――" I have a bad feeling about this. …There's only one student that could've been there.
"Don't leave out the important detail, Issei. Who is this student that's been missing?"
"…Okay. Mitsuzuri Ayako, the captain of the archery club. We do not know where she went after returning the archery range keys, and after someone saw her in front of the archery range." Issei averts his gaze.
Classes end. I don't know if that incident is the reason, but all clubs are canceled for today.
It seems the library is closed as well, so the students are going home in a hurry. There's an announcement that all students are to go home unless they have some special business. I'm the only one left in room 2-C. I bet it's like this in other rooms, so I should hurry or there'll be nobody left in the school building.
"――――――――" I should go talk to some people before that. I can't go straight home after I found out Mitsuzuri's been missing. She's firm, and she's stronger than most guys. It's not a trivial matter that she's missing, and most of all, I can't ignore it as her friend.
"…Sorry, Saber. I have something to do." I apologize to Saber and leave my classroom. I should go talk to people in Mitsuzuri's class, room 2-A.
"Huh? …Um, Ayako-chan is absent today because she's sick." "Mitsuzuri-san's absent today. You should know that if you're in the archery club, right?" "I'm telling you she's absent. Even devils get sick, huh? Her record of not being absent ends today, hahahaha."
That's all I could get from the girls in her class. It seems everyone has been told that Mitsuzuri is absent because of illness.
"Sorry to interrupt. Don't tell her about this if she's here tomorrow." I wave goodbye and leave. If there's any place to go now, it'd be the archery range.
"―――No one's here. Well, duh. There are no club activities today." The door to the range is shut tight. It doesn't seem like anyone's inside, so it's meaningless to stay here.
"…I guess I'll talk to Issei. They might have some new information." It's been three hours since lunch. It might be possible that she's already been found and it turned out nothing was wrong at all.
"――――――――" Man. I didn't think that the student council would be closed as well. There aren't that many people here now, so it'll be difficult to ask around.
"…I'll go home for now. Fuji-Nee should know something about Mitsuzuri."
I get my bag and go out into the hallway. The sky is tinted red. The sun is setting and it should get dark in an hour or so.
I get to the stairs. As I start walking down, I hear a sound above my head.
"?" I look up. There―――― Tohsaka is standing at the top of the stairs.
"Oh, you're here too, Tohsaka?" "…………" She doesn't answer. First this morning and then just now… I think her glares are getting worse every time I greet her.
"What? I'm gonna go if you don't have any business with me." I raise my bag to show her that I'm going home now.
"――――――――Sigh." …? I don't know why, but Tohsaka sighs.
"I'm stunned. Coming to school without your Servant. Are you sane?" She murmurs without emotion.
"Of course I'm sane. I can't turn Saber into spirit form, so there's no way I can bring her to school."
"Then skip school. It's like asking for others to kill you if a Master is walking without its Servant. …Do you know how stupid you are, Emiya-kun?"
"Wha―――I'm not stupid! Don't say ridiculous things. Masters don't fight in front of people, right? Then it's out of the question to fight during daytime, and at a school at that."
"………Oh, then let me ask you. Are there people watching us now?" "Huh――――?" What's she talking about? I don't even need to check if there are people around――――
"Huh――――――?" Why is this? Conveniently, there is no one here. There's no one in the third-floor hallway. I'm sure that's the same for the fourth and the second floor.
The red-tinted building is quiet. I bet there are only teachers remaining on the first floor――――
"It seems you finally understand. …Geez, I was more pissed than astonished this morning. I told you so many times, but you still came to get killed." Saying so angrily, Tohsaka rolls up her sleeve. "――――?" A slender, white arm. On the feminine arm… Something like a glowing tattoo appears.
"――――What?" It's not a Command Spell. Could that be――――? Even though I don't have one, it must be the proof of a magus, a Magic Crest.
"―――I don't even need to explain to you, right? This is a crystallization of the magic passed down my family. I can cast any magic carved on here just by filling it with magical energy." …Yes. A Magic Crest is like an attached engine, separate from the Magic Circuit in a magus. There's no difficult incantation or procedure to follow. It is an ultimate hastening mechanism that runs the car called magic just by turning it on. But the Magic Crest will not show up unless it is in use. The Magic Crest is like a separate Magic Circuit that is formed using the magical energy of the magus. "I told Archer to go home. The 'Gandr Shot' in the Magic Crest should be enough for you." There's no emotion in her voice. "――――――――" That makes me realize that she's serious.
"You can run away, but that's just making it hard on yourself. I'm going to win in the end no matter what you do." She coldly says so. But my head's spinning.
Fight here…? Why does it have to be here? Why does it have to be now? And why do I have to fight against Tohsaka――――?
"H-Hold on, Tohsaka! Are you insane? This is the school! Who knows who'll come up if we make a commotion―――"
"I'll think about it when that happens. I don't let chances in front of me slip by. I'm sorry, but I'm taking care of you right here and now. …And besides, I don't think I can stand having you walk about carelessly."
"I-I said hold on…! I don't have any intention of fighting you―――" "I do even if you don't! Just prepare yourself, Shirou―――!"
She moves her arm and starts the fight.
"――――――――!" What sort of magic is it? The instant she points her left hand at me, my vision is filled with light.
"……!" It's about four steps forward to the stairs leading to the second floor. If I'm to retreat back to the hallway, it'll also take me about four steps to get to cover. This is no time to think. I―――

Without You (Chapter 9)
Chapter 9: Family Trip, Peace For Now
The Igarashi family take a trip. The Akaishi siblings are also there. And the Ushijima family. And Hiromi and George. That's totally not weird.
Between the last chapter I posted and this chapter, I've watched Girls Remix, and then nearly all of W other than the last three episodes and the stuff after the series. And I'm only behind one episode of Geats. What I'm trying to say is I can watch stuff pretty quick when it's not Revice. Make of that what you will.

Makoto doesn’t think he’s ever been on a trip quite like this, but Genta wanted to celebrate Yukimi coming home. And Makoto figures it’ll be nice for everyone, since he’s almost positive Hana has never had anything like this, and Tamaki probably hadn’t either. There had been a few family trips since they’d been taken in by the Igarashis, but this was certainly unique.
Tamaki was probably the wariest of the whole thing, almost certainly because of his ears and tail that he was struggling to hide in the hopes of avoiding any unwanted attention. That was a part of why they didn’t often go out on trips, even not as a whole family. One part was that they liked to keep Happy Spa open, the other part was that Tamaki particularly had a hard time hiding his strange features.
Meanwhile, Hana seemed very excited, and certainly a part of that was getting to do something new with her family. There’s a bounce in her step – that wasn’t entirely new, though, that certainly was more brought on by Sakura. Makoto wouldn’t complain about his sister’s new happiness, even if he’d admit to being a bit skeptical of Sakura. That strange feeling he got from her kept in his mind, and it made him worry about all the time Hana was spending alone with her.
But it wasn’t the time to worry about Sakura or the Deadmans or any of the rest of that. Unless he had no other choice, Makoto was determined to focus on his family, on celebrating that Yukimi was okay. Come hell or high water, he was going to focus all of his attention on his family.
Obstacle number one presented itself as early as check in. Namely in the form of the Ushijima family, who walked in right after they did. The moment Hikaru saw them, he sighed, making a face that looked incredibly tired.
Mr. Ushijima smiled, “Oh, what a surprise,”
“The three of you have come here too?” Genta looked a bit confused, “Well, that’s a strange coincidence.”
Hikaru gravitated to Hana, “I swear I didn’t know they were planning this, or that you guys were going to be here.”
“Well I didn’t tell you we would be,” Hana responded, dryly.
Right, okay, well Hana would have someone else to spend time with while here, at least. She’d probably like that, so while it’s a bit strange that the Ushijima family is here, it’s not really so strange that he’s going to let it bother him much.
A few moments later, obstacle number two appears – all three of them, in the form of bickering siblings. “I still can’t believe you forgot about this,” Sakura groused, “I mean, really, you’ve got to stop spending so much time training.”
Standing beside her, an unamused expression on his face, Captain Akaishi – Daiji? – sighed, “I’m sorry,” his apology sounded halfhearted, “but I have things to do, you know.”
“Not that much.” She rolled her eyes.
Adjusting his hat, Ikki sighed, “Come on, you two. Family vacation, remember?”
Tamaki startles at the sight of the three, “Captain Akaishi?”
His words draw Daiji’s attention, who seemed a bit surprised, “Ah, Tamaki.”
Upon realizing Hana’s presence, Sakura hurried over to her, hugging her, “Hana!” As they hugged, Hana lit up, equally excited to see Sakura. Hikaru frowned and reluctantly stepped to the side.
Poor Hikaru, never even tried to tell Hana how he so obviously felt, and now he had to watch her with Sakura. He seemed to be taking it rather well, at least, not that Makoto had ever really taken him as the jealous type.
Then the final obstacle, number three, came in, in the form of one dramatic Karizaki, and an exasperated, tired looking, Mr. Kadota. Karizaki appears to have made Mr. Kadota carry all of the luggage – and Makoto gets the impression most of it is Karizaki’s.
Looking between the two families (Hikaru’s parents have already left, somehow, and apparently didn’t seem particularly concerned that Hikaru was still standing next to Hana), Karizaki gains a stupidly big grin, “Well, look at that. Both the Igarashi family and the Akaishi family.”
Both Hikaru and Sakura grab ahold of Hana before she can throw a kunai in George’s direction, certainly avoiding causing an actual, significant scene. Instead, Hana is just glaring daggers at him, which was a great improvement. Meanwhile, Daiji perked up upon seeing Mr. Kadota, seeming both confused at his presences, but also glad for it.
Both Genta and Yukimi were gaining looks of increasing confusion, as Makoto comes to a horrifying realization. Coincidence or not, the presence of both the Akaishi siblings, the Ushijima family, and Karizaki and Mr. Kadota were certainly going to make it very hard for Makoto to focus on his family. He gets the impression that Karizaki was certainly going to make his entire existence the Igarashi family’s problem.
---
“I’m going to go spend some time with Hikaru and Sakura,” Hana said, with a cheery tone and air of excitement.
“Huh?” Genta sputtered, “What happened to family time?”
Yukimi takes his arm, “Oh Genta, let her have some fun. It’s not often she gets to spend time with her two favorite friends.” She likely only described both as friends because Makoto suspects that she hasn’t given up on her hopes of Hikaru doing something about his crush, as much as Yukimi seems happy that Hana’s with Sakura.
Hana practically skipped out of the room, clearly excited to see Sakura and Hikaru. Makoto watches her leave, an amused expression on his face, knowing Hana wasn’t likely to pass up an opportunity to be with either of the two. Both at once she would certainly not let pass by, though Makoto had to wonder how much the two actually got along with each other.
He was rather content at just staying with the rest of his family – especially since he doesn’t get to see as much of Tamaki as he used to, since Tamaki had joined Fenix. And at least in this room, Tamaki didn’t really need to try to hide his ears and tail. He’d tried when they arrived, but the moment they were in the room he’d yanked his had off, his ears generally not fond of being shoved in one. Probably made too much noise, too.
“Your fur’s a bit dirty,” Makoto notes, gently running his fingers over a patch of fur on the back of Tamaki’s arm.
Rolling his eyes, Tamaki responded, “I probably just need to actually… really scrub it. It’s fur, it picks up all the dirt.”
It was a bit ironic, for all that Tamaki was determined to keep his glasses’ lens clean, he wasn’t nearly so specific about keeping his fur as clean. Then again, it took more effort to get all the dirt out of fur, and far less to clean glasses. They’ll have to make sure he gets it fully clean, today.
Thankfully, it seemed Tamaki had at least kept his tail in decent order, back when they’d first met their parents, or Yukimi at least, it had been a decent while since the three had a bath, and Tamaki’s tail had been a mess of dirt and knots, matted as it so easily became when they were on the streets. Tamaki had it the worst, what with the fur that so easily got dirty and matted. Hana’s fuzz wasn’t nearly so temperamental, even if it was also easily dirtied.
“Does it bother you that much?” Tamaki asked, beginning to brush his own fingers over his fur.
Shaking his head, Makoto assured, “No, no, it was just an observation,”
Tamaki’s quiet, after hearing the response, sharp fingernails tapping on the table as he drummed his fingers absentmindedly. After another few moments, he asked, voice quiet, “I know we just… kinda assumed something had happened to you, too. Because of the scar. But did you ever have some other reason to think that?”
At the time, Makoto hadn’t thought much of it. When he’d first stumbled into Tamaki, who’d looked so terrified, and later when they found Hana, in the midst of a fist fight with someone or other. Makoto had just been so used to feeling like he didn’t belong in any given place, feeling so alienated from his peers, that he felt more at home with Tamaki and Hana, who clearly weren’t normal, than he’d had with just about anyone else. The scar that he shared with Tamaki and Hana was just a later guess as to why they got along so well. A sort of sign of why they should stick together.
Though thinking back on it, it felt as though there was some kind of voice that was telling him he should stick with them. Makoto never thought much about it, never really even realized it was there until now. But he couldn’t really tell Tamaki that – at best, Tamaki would roll his eyes, at worst, he would think Makoto was crazy.
Instead, he answers, “I’m not sure, I guess I just sort of… had a feeling.” That was close enough, what he would have answered even before now. And in a way, it probably was the more honest answer. The only voice in his head was his own, after all.
---
Makoto’s previous assertion about Karizaki making himself everyone’s problem turned out to be rather accurate, at least by his own standards. Case in point, he thinks, the fact they can’t even relax in the hot springs without Karizaki also being there. Though Makoto figures it’s probably better Karizaki than someone else, given Tamaki’s here and probably feels a bit more comfortable with people who already know about his features than not. Still, Makoto is pretty sure Karizaki is up to something.
Karizaki wasn’t the only one there outside of their family – Daiji and Mr. Kadota were there too, seated next to each other and both watching Karizaki warily. It seemed Makoto wasn’t the only one who figured he was up to something. Tamaki sat on one side of Makoto, while Genta was on the other side.
“Your brother didn’t come?” Mr. Kadota asked, looking to Daiji.
As Daiji sighed, Karizaki turned his attention towards him, and Daiji responded, “Ikki doesn’t like being in public. Especially things like bathes.”
Genta frowned, “But he comes to Happy Spa so much?”
“That’s different, he makes sure to come when you’re not busy and he’s certain no one else will see.” Daiji explained, “Practically staked out Happy Spa for months just to figure out when that would be. It was a bit weird.”
Under the water, Tamaki’s tail whacks Makoto’s side, “That seems like a lot of work, why bother going at all?”
With a shrug, Daiji said, “We never figured it out, it’s just a thing Ikki does.”
The subject changes, as Karizaki turns his attention towards Genta – and Makoto has never wanted to strangle this man more, or at least yank him away, as Karizaki moves closer to Genta. “So, your Tamaki and Makoto’s father, huh?”
Surprisingly, or perhaps he was just ignorant of Karizaki’s arguably strange behavior – even if not by Karizaki standards – Genta responded with his usual lighthearted smile, “Well, yes, I am.”
“You must be very proud of them,”
“Of course – Yukimi and I, we’re always proud of our children,” Genta still seemed unaware of what Makoto would consider the concerning behavior of Karizaki. Or maybe Makoto was just being paranoid.
“Papa…” Tamaki tried to lower himself further into the water, to hide his embarrassment.
Daiji is looking between Karizaki and Genta with a mix of confusion and concern. It seemed he too was wary of whatever it was Karizaki was trying to do, while Mr. Kadota just looked tired. Makoto couldn’t imagine how anyone dealt with Karizaki on a regular basis – especially since one of those people was Tamaki.
Inching even closer, Karizaki said, “They’re quite the trio – even if Hana there tried to stab me.”
“Probably should have let her.” The thought came to Makoto’s mind before he could even try to stop it. Immediately, he chased the thought away – if nothing else, letting Hana stab anyone wouldn’t be a particularly good thing.
Ignorant of Makoto’s thought, Karizaki continued talking, “And you know, it’s quite interesting, there’s something that the three mentioned before that I’m curious about-“
Rolling his eyes, Daiji interrupted, “They’re on vacation, Karizaki.” He glared at him, “leave them be.”
Clearly annoyed, Karizaki grumbled a little, moving away from Genta. Genta only seemed confused by the whole thing, but quickly shrugged it off. He was perhaps a little too unaware of the strangeness of Karizaki, or at least far too willing to brush it off.
Now that his attention wasn’t on Genta, though, and instead landed on Makoto, with a curious look. “Fine, fine,” there was something about Karizaki’s expression that made Makoto extremely uneasy. Then again, he found there was a lot of things about Karizaki that made him uneasy. “Oh, Makoto, you know, I never noticed, but you’ve got quite a few scars on your arms.”
Makoto’s chest tightened upon hearing Karizaki’s observation. Of course he hadn’t noticed, Makoto made sure that no one could see. The reason for his sweaters, and even the long sleeves he wore under them, for all the effort he put into making sure his arms were covered. Because though most people wouldn’t notice the scars on his arms, some would, there would always be one person, who would notice.
With a tense voice, Makoto responded, “So what? I don’t see what’s so notable.”
“Ah, well I wouldn’t think they’d come about particularly naturally,” There’s a causal tone to Karizaki’s voice, but he has to understand well just what he’s doing. “maybe they were caused by something from before you met the Igarashis?”
“That’s none of your business,” Makoto snapped. He’d never told anyone, not his siblings, not his parents, about before he ran away, and he really wasn’t going to start now. Certainly not with Karizaki present. Tamaki may have thought he was simply weird, but Makoto could see that he wasn’t harmless. He was sneaky and knew exactly what sort of power he held over people, over members of Fenix. He knew exactly how to get what he wanted.
Unless Karizaki wanted to rile him up, Makoto was determined not to give Karizaki what he wanted.
“Really because I figured-“
Makoto doesn’t know what exactly happened after, but next thing he knows he’s moved forward, and Tamaki’s got ahold on his arm, “Geez Makoto, chill!”
Confused, Makoto sat back down in his previous spot, Tamaki’s hold lingering on his arm.
This time, it’s Mr. Kadota who speaks up, an expression of concern on his face, “I have to agree with Daiji, stop bothering them, Karizaki. They’re on a family vacation, they owe you no answers.”
George pouted, but complied, even if he was still eyeing Makoto curiously. Makoto just followed Tamaki’s previous example and tried to hide himself more with the water, determined to keep his arms as hidden underwater as he could.
“What an asshole,”
He shrinks himself further and tries to chase away the thought as Mr. Kadota moves, his attention still on Karizaki, “I think it’s probably about time we go,”
---
Sakura held Hana’s hand as the two walked, Hikaru following behind with a frown on his face, even if he was trying to hide it. Hana felt a bit bad, felt that she should do something more to try to help Hikaru feel included. She just wasn’t really sure what she could do. Sakura was one thing, but Hikaru was another, and she wasn’t really sure what she could do with both of them.
“What are the odds we’d all be here at the same time?” Sakura smiled, “I mean, who’d have thought. Especially since father was the one who arranged our trip.”
“Yeah,” Hana said, her voice skeptical, “What are the odds?” They both knew that Sakura and her siblings being here was no coincidence.
If Hikaru noticed her sarcasm, he didn’t voice it, “It is a bit strange.”
Glancing back at him, Sakura hummed, “At least it means both get to spend time with our wonderful, wonderful Hana.”
“And at least you’re not stuck with your parents the whole time,” Hana stopped walking, turning towards Hikaru, “Not that I’m sure Sakura or I make that much better company.”
Quickly, he hurried closer to her, “No, no, I love spending time with you Hana!” he glanced over at Sakura. “and I guess Sakura’s fine, too.”
Rolling her eyes, Sakura looked mildly amused, thankfully. Better than annoyed. Sliding closer to Hikaru, and thusly Hana, Sakura said, “You know, it’s almost a shame I don’t see more of you.”
“Is it?” Hikaru asked, clearly unnerved by her behavior. “I mean, I didn’t think you… uh, super liked me that much.”
Still too close to Hikaru for his own comfort, Sakura responded, “Well, since you’re so dear to Hana, I think it would be good for us to get along better.”
Hikaru pulls himself away from Sakura, “I guess…”
“It’s alright if you two aren’t that close,” Hana said, wiggling herself between the two. While the closeness was normal for her and Sakura, the incredibly close proximity to Hikaru was not as common, at least in these circumstances, and caused her to blush slightly when he bumped against her. “I’d just like you two to be able to be in the same room together and tolerate each other’s presence.”
“That’s fair,” Hikaru said.
“Of course, anything for you, my bee.” At Sakura’s words, Hikaru frown grew just the slightest.
Hana thinks this walk with them might be either the best or worst walk of her life. Well, maybe not the worst, but definitely not a good one, if it went that way. Hikaru still was clearly not that fond of Sakura, and Sakura seemed mostly just interested in Hikaru because of Hana. She didn’t have high hopes of the two getting along that well. Still, she also wasn’t going to make one of them leave, not right now, at least. Maybe she’d try to hang out with them individually after this.
---
“Ikki!” Vice whined, “I want to feel the hot springs too!”
As Vice and Ikki were the only ones in the room, it made Vice both the main source of noise and also very hard to ignore. Although Ikki often felt bad about ignoring him, at times, but this would probably not be one of them. Ikki sighed, “Vice, I’m not even going to go out to the hot springs.”
Though Vice’s mouth was hidden by his mask, Ikki just knew he was pouting, “But Ikki…”
“I don’t want anyone noticing my tail,” Ikki was confident enough he could probably hide his horns and feathers enough, but his tail was… a bit tricky. He couldn’t really hide it with a coat like normal.
Sakura had made some attempt to convince him to go with Daiji, but even she knew better than to waste much effort. Besides, Ikki didn’t mind being in the room alone – he was used to it, anyway. He was the least important of the three, so it was often that he found himself with only Vice as company. This wasn’t any different than usual.
Vice takes on his physical form, sitting down beside Ikki with a small huff. Ikki doesn’t know why he waited so long to do so, but sometimes, Vice just liked making Ikki talk to himself. Usually, it’s when it would be funny, though, and here they lacked an audience. “Guess that’s kind of my fault, huh?”
Quick to respond, Ikki assure, “Not really. You couldn’t control any of this.”
“Maybe. Hey, at least our tails match!” To no surprise, Vice saw some Brightside to everything. It would be better if Ikki hadn’t heard the same words over and over for eighteen years or so.
“Hey, hey our tails match!” Vice cheered, so much larger than Ikki was at the time.
Alone in “their room” as the members of the Deadmans had told him, Ikki stared at Vice with confusion. “You… have a tail?” he doesn’t remember when Vice first appeared, but he’s pretty sure it’s when the tail and the horns grew in. Or around then. Maybe he’d heard Vice’s voice before that, but he can’t remember.
“I do,” Vice assured, still sounding far too happy for Ikki’s liking. Too many bad things had happened for him to understand how Vice could be so happy. Vice moved, and positioned himself so that a tail, one that looked just like Ikki’s, but bigger, appeared. “See?”
Ikki reached out towards Vice, before remembering he couldn’t touch him and pulling his hand back. “They… do.” Vice wasn’t really there – Ikki didn’t doubt that he was real, but he wasn’t able to be touched or even seen by anyone else.
With a roll of his eyes, Ikki said to Vice, “You always say that.”
Vice just made an amused sound, and Ikki tries not to laugh. As much as he hated to admit it, there were times when Vice was the only thing that even slightly brightened his day. There was something about Vice’s childishness and carefree attitude that made Ikki smile, even when he wasn’t sure he’d be able to otherwise.
He felt bad that he couldn’t do much for Vice. That he was stuck with Ikki. Although a part of that problem was how far from human Vice appeared. Even if he wasn’t stuck with Ikki, he wouldn’t be able to do most of the things he keeps saying he wants to do. The hot springs were not the first instance of this, and Ikki knew it’d never be the last.
“I’ll get us something nice, a sweet or something when we get home,” Ikki offered, although he supposed it probably sounded a bit out of the blue.
Glancing over at Ikki, Vice seemed confused for a moment, before practically cheering, “Yeah, that sounds great!”
Vice was the closest thing to a normal child Ikki got to be the brother to.
---
“You know, I think that being away from Fenix has somehow made Karizaki more…” Tamaki struggled to find the word he wanted to use to describe Karizaki.
“Strange, pushy, weird, uncomfortable…?” Makoto offered.
“Insane,”
Again, Makoto ignored the thought.
Tamaki seems to finally find a word he was okay with, “Karizaki.”
Barely biting his tongue and keeping himself from saying something harsher, Makoto responded, “He’s always Karizaki.”
“Well, being away makes him more, I guess.”
It really seemed like Karizaki just had less supervision here – not by much given he didn’t have a lot of supervision to begin with. Maybe he was just becoming bolder. It really didn’t matter, Makoto just knew it was going to grate on his nerves. “I hope he goes back to being less Karizaki.”
“…that’s fair.”
---
Daiji glared at George, annoyed, “Why are you two here?” he wasn’t so annoyed about Hiromi’s presence, but George was a different story.
“Hiromi being here is nice. But this guy… ugh.”
George gave a smile that was some mix of smug and innocent, to Daiji’s confusion. “We’re keeping an eye on the Igarashis – Commander Wakabayashi’s orders.”
“Even though a Vistamp went missing the other day?” Daiji, of course, knew where it had gone, but George and Hiromi didn’t.
George shrugged, “One Vistamp is manageable, at least. We know Makoto can deal with another T-Rex Deadman. Besides, they’re pretty safe in Fenix, given all the security.”
Groaning, Daiji really didn’t know what to say to that. “And why didn’t I hear about this plan?” Daiji knows he didn’t.
“We were only informed this morning ourselves, it was rather last minute,” Hiromi explained, “I’m sorry for such surprise.”
“You’ve got nothing to apologize for,” Kagerou sighed, “I just want Hiromi to ourselves.”
Again, Daiji chose to ignore Kagerou. “It’s fine, it’s fine,” Daiji assured, “I’m just sorry you’re stuck babysitting Karizaki.”
Rolling his eyes, George shot back, “I don’t need babysitting, the commander just sent him along and I didn’t get a choice.”
Kagerou slips into control, saying in a mockingly sweet tone, “That’s because you do need someone to keep an eye on you, you’re just too-“ Daiji, realizing where Kagerou was going, pulls control, shoving Kagerou to the side.
“You do in fact need someone to keep an eye on you, you’d get yourself in too much trouble, otherwise.” Daiji finished, attempting to recover from Kagerou’s words.
“We’ll be fine, Daiji,” Hiromi assured, “and I’ll keep him out of trouble.”
With another sigh, really wishing he’d just gone back to be with Ikki and Vice, Daiji said, “Yeah, yeah, I know you will.”

Sapnap x reader !p !child reader
Pronouns used: none specified!
Warnings: swearing, mentions of death, casinos
➳➳➳➳➳┄┄※┄┄➳➳➳➳➳
𝐊𝐢𝐧𝗼𝐤𝗼 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝗼𝐰??
Quackity was telling you all of his plans
He rambled on for hours of his ideas for casinos and how he was going to marry Karl and sapnap
It sounded great
He had his whole plan set up! He even had Sam helping him with the building
But then he left
Just like everyone else
But that was fine! You were just with sapnap
Before Karl came running over rambling on about needed to move his library
He had a library?
“[Redacted] you need to stay close, please”
You looked at him weirdly
Who the fuck was [redacted]
“Karl my names Y/n you idiot” “flame..” “sorry”
He didn’t even notice it and then you had to spend the next couple days hauling over 100 books
“Oo hey what are these! The covers look really weird”
You had found his time travel books
Woops
That man raced over and in the kindest way possible, snatched it from your hands
“Don’t touch those, they are my special books”
You just shrugged and let him be, he freaks you out enough
So you all traveled to this area in the spruce forest and built a really ugly mushroom hut
But hey it’s fine! Foolish thankfully came around later that day and made everything better
So you stuck around
Maybe you needed this, this new start
Oh but prime knows that wouldnt last long
Karl started forgetting
At first it was simple things as just forgetting where he was or little stumbles with names
But eventually he was going away longer and longer
He started calling you by these strange names, some that sound Victorian and western and others that are unlike you
One day he didn’t call you by your name at all
You were hanging around the Sakura trees and the big yin Yang pond waiting for sapnap to come back with George
Then you saw Karl exit the library, running up to him for a hug
It’s been two months since you’ve seen him
You fucking hated it but you couldn’t help but consider him another parental figure
He loved it
But he just stood there as you wrapped your arms around him
Expecting the usual “[reda]- Y/n, I’ve missed you so much my sweet flame!”
But there was nothing just a sad one sided hug
“Hello? I’m sorry but do I know you?”
You were ready to cry
“I’m sorry, I uh must’ve mistaken you for the wrong person” “No that’s fine! Hugs are nice?”
So you left and ran into the library
Scouring throughout all of the books until you found them
The same 8 books you shrugged away
You read through all of them along with Karl’s other journals
You didn’t like going through his stuff especially, a whole invasion of privacy
The more you read the worse it got
What were you gonna tell Sapnap?
Who the hell is James, and [redacted]?
And why couldn’t he stop
It’s no use anymore
You were simply just forgotten
𝐋𝗼𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬
The closer you got to the large building, the sicker you got
Kinoko Kingdom was supposed to be your free pass
But somehow you always end up here
You called for Sam on the comms waiting for the beep
The inside looked great to say the least
“What are your past relationships with the prisoner?” “No answer.”
“Where are you currently resided?” “No answer”
“Do you believe the prisoner deserves his sentence?” “Maybe”
You put all your shit in the locker and followed him through all the safety checks
“I’m glad you didn’t bring anything with you”
You stood on the platform heart racing as the lava went down
It was like a ticking time bomb
The small squeaks and scratches of the hovering bridge
He just stared at you
That sick stupid mask was broken by tommy that day in the black stone room
So you had to look into his face
Lets just say he looks good in Orange
“Barrier up or down?” “Down”
He backed up into the corner as you stepped in
Smiling
Once the lava cascaded down your smile turned into a sick frown
“Hello” is that all he had to fucking say?
“Screw you. Fuck you. Damn you”
He just looked you a small chuckle escaping from his lips
“Those all mean the same thing.” “Well I’ve been living in cinnamon town for the past couple months, and I’m ready to fucking burn some buns”
Yeah he just laughed
“I’ve missed you Hot shot”
“You ruined our damn life!”
Someone went quiet
“If you didn’t have to have a petty little war, or criminalize children we could’ve been fine! It could’ve just been you, dad, me, and George.”
You were pissed, everyone just kept leaving you.
Tommy and Tubbo, Quackity, Karl, Dream, and hell even Wilbur
“You come and visit me, after not having seen me for months and you just yell? Not a hello or ‘how are you dream?’ ‘How’s prison dream’ ‘how can I help you get out of this damn place’ “
You just sat down ready to just walk out into the lava
“I’ve been stuck here for months! None of you even cared enough to visit me, hell even Tommy came around.”
You might have felt a little bad after leaving him
The prison was cold even tho lava was flowing right there
“Why would you leave the discs alone..” “Because I had to end it.”
What were you doing here
What were you planning on saying?
“So, what do you do in prison”
“I have a clock.”
You got up to go look at the pretty clock
Then threw it at his face
“Ow” “deal with it bitch”
The longer you stayed the worse the feeling in your stomach got
so you buzzed for Sam waving goodbye
“Wait.. Do they miss me?” “Can’t say, but I think this may be for the best.”
He wanted his best friends
But he just got the annoying teenager
Oh but that wouldn’t be the last
𝐋𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬
You got a letter in the mail one day
Who the hell uses letters??
You were shocked to see the address and the small post card
“Come around some time”-Quackity
Ans on the back it had the cords
Oh well what did you have to loose? Sapnap was focused on Karl
and well Karl didn’t even know you
So you set off
It took you a couple hours travel by horse to get to the desert area
The large sign blaring in the red text
You gotta admit the place looked beautiful
There was a giant dick and different shops
You were shocked to see this random un human like guy
“Hello, I am Charlie a totally human guy!”
Yeah totally not slime
“I’m uh, Y/n?” He reached out for a handshake sort of thing
“Dap me up!” “Another time Charlie”
Maybe when you had hand sanitizer
“Ohh so your Y/n! Mister Quackity talks about you all the time, come on in!”
You were skeptical but followed anyways
Stopping in your tracks when you saw Fundy
“Furry?” “Fire shit?”
You went over to give him a side hug, ruffling his fur
“What the hell are you doing here ginger boy!” “Oh you know, just escaping nightmares”
You were confused then just let him be
You walked to the entry way of the place
A beautiful pond with flowers and an arch
“Did what the place where Mr. Quackity was going to propose!”
Going to?
You shrugged it off following inside
You hated to admit it, but you were excited to see him
Yeah you really needed a parental figure in your life at the moment
So when you saw him, he immediately pick you up in a hug
You didn’t fail to notice his change in appearance
That beanie stayed the same tho
Thank god
“Hey hey! Let me show you around the place, we can also go for lunch and talk.”
The casino looked great to say the least
Loud music booming from the speakers, along with the live jazz band on the side
Slot machines were going off every minute
“Have a chip, something to remember this by”
He handed you a red poker chip
It was a cool one tho, in the middle has a blocky sort of smile
Creepy and dopey.. sick!
So you put it around a spare silver chain
“So how have you been kid? ‘Ts been a while hasn’t it.” “Could be better..”
You both walked around the city in silence, offering to go in the super model shop
“No” “why not” “keep walking”
On your way to lunch you had to squint at what you were seeing
“Oh my goodness you’re still alive?!” “You’re alive!?”
You and revivebur just stared at one another
“Yeah he came back after I died!” “you what now-“
You just stared at Tommy and back to Wilbur
Oh god those shrooms were messing with your head
You should’ve gotten out of there a while ago
Quackity came over placing his hands on your shoulders
“Do I have to execute you both? Get off my damn property”
“Sorry Q. Say, Y/n wanna join Lmanburg 2.0?”
You back away holding your hands up
“I denied that offer once, and I’ll do it again. Fucking zombie freaks”
You obviously muttered the last part
Why the fuck did dream revive those two shits??
When did Tommy even die??
Your visit here has just gotten weirder and weirder
𝐌𝗼𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬
Quackity got you away from the brits as quick as he could
So he brought you over to his office
“So kid, how’s your dad..”
Ah you expected this question
“How the fuck am I supposed to know. He’s living his life, Karl’s time traveling! Oh yeah did I mention he doesn’t even remember me.”
He looked at you with wide eyes
“So I’m not the only one they forgot..”
You slammed you hands on the fable dramatizing the situation
“How would you feel about moving here? I mean you could work for me in the casino!”
You thought about it for a second
You have two options
1. Live in shroom town with bubbles
2. Move to las Nevada’s with Quackity
You were sure Sapnap wouldn’t mind
I mean would he even care?
He hasn’t for the past couple months!
“You feel abandoned there, over here there are hundreds of people. You’ll have the time of your life”
You thought about it for a sec
“Alright hand me a contract”
So you signed
Making deals with the devil huh
Little did you know it would cost you your life
Devils little soul
➳➳➳➳➳┄┄※┄┄➳➳➳➳➳
and this is the finale! I will take requests for sapnaps child, and I’ll do some shit with Quackity and the casino and go in more depth if wanted!
As always request and ask anything! And ask if you want to be on a taglist (child reader or general)
For those on the taglist I don’t know if you wanted to be tagged for all child reader shit or just dreams child.. so please tell me :)

sleep is for the weak lol the cover for the 6th light novel is out.
Tumblr media
every cell in my body is alive right now.
let’s just get right to the point here: Bakugou. Eri. Bakugou and Eri. Bakugou standing next to Eri. while she carefully mimics his hunched hands-in-pockets posture and baggy shirt aesthetic. it’s finally happened, everyone. the two of them have met and sized each other up and decided to become best friends. later today they are going to the mall and hitting up Build-A-Bear.
Aizawa is trying to size up the situation and decide whether Bakugou’s influence is gonna be a net good overall. Eri’s been going through a bit of a rebellious phase ever since Tokoyami bought her that sword. on the one hand he really would rather not have his seven-year-old running around saying “fuck” every third sentence, but on the other hand it’s good she at least picked a role model who has the same bedtime as her.
Sero being on the cover is amazing!! it’s finally your time!! I hope he gets a whole chapter all to himself. I wonder who that mystery character is standing behind him.
loving the fact that Momo is here as well. also Tokage. someone who’s better at Japanese than I am can maybe tell me if this is possibly some sort of pun about her name being Setsuna, and them all celebrating Setsubun. I know the kanji are different so it’s a long shot, but I just really want to experience the thrill of uncovering a Horikoshi pun just once in my life. anyways, good to see she didn’t let that defeat in the JT arc get her down, and that she and Momo are having regular get-togethers where they bond over being elite U.A. recommendation students who are better and smarter than everyone else.
Shouto, also an elite U.A. recommendation student, was told to smile at the camera and honestly had every intention of doing so, truly. but then he saw this really tiny sakura petal and was all “I think I can catch that on my nose.” and then he did.
Deku is trying so hard to be the most adorable character on the cover now that Eri’s new life coach is teaching her how to make thug expressions. he hasn’t succeeded yet (Deku, that is; Bakugou is well on his way to helping Eri master the thug face catalog already), but he’s still pretty goddamned adorable.
the title is 泣かない赤鬼? -- “the red demon that doesn’t cry?”, or something like that. the description/preview blurb over on Shueisha’s site mentions Setsubun, which means this takes place in early February of their first year. so r.i.p., hopes of getting some post-war-arc hospital antics. although you never know, maybe the story will jump ahead towards the end of the book. and if not there’s always vol. 7 I suppose.
so getting back to Setsubun, that’s the bean-throwing holiday that Eri got confused about and was trying to celebrate during the Christmas party. Setsubun is basically about ringing in the end of winter and the beginning of spring (based on the lunar calendar, hence why it falls in February).
anyway so fun fact, while the main tradition associated with Setsubun involves purifying your home by throwing beans outside the front door and chanting “demons out, good luck in”, there are plenty of other traditions, including one in which someone dresses up like an oni/demon and tries to scare the children and then the children throw beans at them lol. the reason I bring this last bit up is because the preview blurb mentions Bakugou taking on the oni role here. so basically what I’m saying is that if you buy this book, you can read all about Eri pelting Bakugou with roasted soybeans. anyway so yeah, this is the best timeline, you guys.
and on that note I think I’ve run out of things to say now, except that it’s killing me that we still have to wait until next month to get the official English release of light novel #5, let alone this one. this might be the first of the BnHA light novels I actually wind up purchasing in Japanese. I am seriously considering it lol. please inject this novel into my veins.

Tumblr media
“Are you ever going to skate again?”
Kojiro grins at you, handing you your food. You were on your break from work and decided to visit your old friend from high school.
“Kojiro you know why I can’t”
“It’s been a year I’m sure everyone wants to see you skating again!” You can’t blame him for his enthusiasm, it had almost been a year after you decided to quit skating due to breaking up with Kaoru. Before you quit you were known in ‘S’ as one of the top contenders, good enough to go against Adam, you had never gone on a beef against him since you had no interest to compete against someone like him.
“C’mon (Y/N)! You know everyone wants to see the infamous RIN again! After your sudden disappearance last year your fans have been missing you, there's even a new guy you can compete against!” You leaned in to cover his mouth, you didn’t want anyone knowing the name you were under while skating in S.
“Fine! I’ll visit but I’m not competing, I just want to see the poor soul that caught Adam’s eye.”
Kojiro smiled, knowing you, you’d probably compete either way, he knew that you’d been missing skating in S after he found you practicing. Your break up with Kaoru had changed their dynamic as you wanted nothing to do with him while he regretted letting you go.
The break up was because Kaoru kept insisting to go against Adam, you knew it was a bad idea, you had tried convincing him many times that the Adam he once knew was gone. Kaoru didn't like it as Adam was very dear to him, he had snapped at you and told you that you didn’t know him and that he’d rather break up with you than listening to your nonsense. You pitied the man, you’d heard what Adam had done to him a few days prior and wanted nothing more than to slap the man for hurting Kaoru.
“You won’t regret it! I’ll see you then RIN”
You hit him again, wanting to keep your professional life and personal life separate, “Say that name again out loud and I’m not going”.
Kojiro watched as you left the restaurant, sakura keychain still in dangling out of your bag like it had been so many years ago.
“You guys really are similar in that aspect”
Once you get home you sigh, your job has been taking a toll on you and you really needed a break. You look into your closet and see your skateboard, the only reason why you quit skating is because it reminded you of him, he was the one to teach you how to skate after all. The same man who decided to leave you to chase after the memory of the friend he once knew.
Making up your mind you change into your outfit and head down the same familiar path leading to the mine.
“Yo (Y/N)! Long time no see”
“You asshole! you call me by my name here and call me by my S name in public! Do you have a death wish?” You get closer to Kojiro to give him a piece of your mind, until you see four guys next to him: two boys who look like they’re in high school, an intimidating guy with clown-looking make-up, and a little boy who you think you’ve seen on TV.
“IS THAT RIN?!?” the redhead boy yelled, it caused everyone to turn to you, you were now the center of attention, mutters about the sudden appearance of one of the most known skaters in S.
“Who’s she?”
Compared to the redhead, the blue haired guy seemed like he was new, you assumed he was the rookie that Kojiro had mentioned earlier in the day.
“She’s a really well-known skater in S! she’s beaten a lot of people here, it’s said that she’s on par with Adam, but they’ve never gone against each other!”
“damn right and never will, I like not having broken bones thank you” you muttered, as everyone calmed down, they introduced themselves and seemed intrigued to see an old face.
“I came to see the new rookie everyone’s been talking about, I’m only here to watch though” everyone’s faces dropped, they seemed disappointed to not be able to see you skate.
“Then why’d you bring your skateboard hm?” Kojiro smirks at you, knowing that you’d come here to skate a little, even if it was just for fun.
“Fine, how about this? SNOW” you pointed at Langa and motioned him to follow you, “you’re coming with me, I wanna see why everyone is talking about you” you take Langa along and decide to skate against him in the course.
“Sorry I’m late, I forgot to charge Carla earlier today so she finished charging a little later than usual” Kaoru stood next to Kojiro to see why everyone seemed more excited. “Right on time Cherry! Look who’s skating today”.
Kaoru looked at the screen, it was you, he hadn’t seen you in a year and you never bothered to answer the messages he had sent you, not that he blamed you for that. You looked just as beautiful as he remembered, if not more, the way your hair flowed freely made you look ethereal, and your face seemed to glow while you were skating, an expression he had missed seeing from you.
He wanted to apologize, after the incident with Adam that landed him in the hospital he realized that his friend was gone, no semblance of him left. While in his hospital bed he remembered the words you had told him before he broke up with you. He knew he had no right to apologize now, but seeing you at S made him realize he missed you and wanted you back, if you’d have him of course.
Langa was surprised, your style of skating was different from anything he’d seen before, it looked complicated but you didn’t seem to be struggling at all. Due to him being distracted he hadn’t realized that you’d already crossed the finish line before him.
“That was good! You knew how to snowboard before learning how to skate right?” You asked excitedly, it had been a while since you’ve had this much freedom while skating. “Yes, how’d you know?”
“I’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard! Your stance seemed similar to those in videos I’ve seen online!”
As you walk back to the rest of the group you see him. Kaoru’s hair got a bit longer but apart from that nothing seemed too different, he still had that unapproachable aura around him. He seemed to be staring at you but you refused to look at him in the eye, you still missed him after all.
“Long time no see (Y/N)” He tried reaching out to you but you didn’t move at all, “Don’t call me that here.”
“Right, sorry Rin”
It seemed that everyone around you was aware of the tense atmosphere, although nobody really knew of what relationship you and Cherry held.
As everyone headed home, you decided to stay back and skate a little, you didn’t know when the next time you were going to be able to skate again after all. That’s when you notice it, just a little behind you were Joe and Cherry trying to catch up to you. “Rin! I thought you weren’t skating anymore?” You didn’t need to turn to see that there was a smile on his face.
“Don’t you have any fangirls to be with?” You retort, speeding a bit to gain distance from them.
“They all went home, why? You jealous?”
“As if.”
“Cherry over here wants to talk to you.”
In all honesty, you’d forgot he was even there at all, if it weren’t for Carla telling him the angles once in a while, you wouldn’t even have noticed him. You were pondering whether you should listen to what he had to say, “He’s been all gloomy ever since he saw you”. You heard someone fall, assuming it was Kojiro you kept going, he deserved it anyway.
You and Kaoru skated in silence for a bit, the only sounds heard were the wheels of both of your skateboards. As you were the first to pass the finish line you stop, getting off of your skateboard and getting ready to go back home.
“So what’d you want to talk about?”
Kojiro looks surprised, he thought you hadn’t noticed him staring at you. Frankly, he wanted to apologize and ask for a second chance, he knew he was undeserving of it though, you only wanted the best for him, but he pushed you away.
“I wanted to apologize for before, I know you meant well, but I only pushed you away when you tried helping me. I should’ve listened to what you said.”
Although it was a bit short and awkward, you knew he meant it. To be honest, you don’t blame him, he only wanted to know what had happened to his friend after he disappeared and came back with a whole different personality. You would’ve done the same if a friend whom you considered family did the same. You knew that even though he had finally come to terms with the fact that the Adam he knew in high school was gone, he was still hurting. You understood all of this, yet it was still hard to forget how angry he’d gotten at you, how he went on and on about how you didn’t know Adam at all (even though you’d been there when all four of you skated together in high school), and how he couldn’t be with someone who talked ill about his best friend. You remember how he broke up with you through a phone call after being late for a date, how you had to show up in your friend’s front door with all of your stuff, in fear of going to Kojiro’s restaurant because he was probably there.
“You didn’t need to wait a year to apologize to me” He flinched, knowing full-well what you were speaking of. He knew he had messed up the moment he ended the call, but his pride didn’t let him go back to your shared apartment to apologize to you, and he assumed that you were probably packing your bags as he headed to Kojiro’s place to drink.
“I didn’t know what to do after I went back to the apartment with your stuff gone”
“Well, I can’t just stay in my ex-boyfriend’s apartment after he just broke up with me can I?”
There was a silent pause, you were basically ready to head back home, but decided to wait to see if he had more to say. “Alright, if you’re done I’ll be heading home now.”
He quickly grabbed your wrist, stopping you from leaving, “it’s late, let me take you home”.
You declined, Kojiro had already promised you to take you back home. At the mention of his name he looked confused.
“Kojiro left a long time ago though?”
You were surprised, looking around for the tall muscle-headed idiot, but Kaoru was right, he left you behind. You were really going to kill him this time, it was probably part of his plan so you could talk things out with Kaoru.
“If it’s not too much trouble, I’d be grateful if you did then” you offered him a small smile, you had to be nice to the person driving you back to your apartment.
The ride home was silent, all he could hear were Carla’s directions to your apartment. As you got home and thanked him for the ride he stopped you again.
“Can I have another chance?” You stayed silent, he took your silence as a rejection and started his engine to leave, but this time, you were the one to stop him.
“You still owe me a meal at Kojiro’s” He blinked, confused as to what you were saying. Then he remembered, he had made you a promise that every time you beat him in S he’d buy you your favorite dish at Kojiro’s restaurant.
He smiled, frown no longer on his face after the promise of a new beginning, “Of course, tell me when you’re free to get it”.
