So, once upon a time, Eddie stood in Buck's loft and entrusted him with the most important, vulnerable parts of himself. Because it was about Christopher, yes, but it was also about Eddie's unwavering trust and love and handing all of those vulnerable parts of himself over to Buck to keep safe.

Then mum cries even more as Chris is finally reunited with them. She then goes: “Eddie isn’t mad with Buck is he?”

Which makes her even more upset.

Then she started crying even HARDER when Buck opened the door and Eddie and Chris were waiting! Then laughing through the tears at the “he’s not very fast” then crying hard AGAIN at “there’s nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you.”

In 6x07, Eddie tells Felisa that he brought Christopher to the beach the day it reopened because he didn't want him to be afraid of the ocean after the tsunami.

In parallel, Eddie brought Christopher to Buck’s place the day after the tsunami because he didn't want Buck to be afraid of watching over Christopher. 🥺❤️

Which also indicates that Christopher had no problem having Buck watching him again, in his eyes, Buck is a safe place.

The tsunami arc will always be my favorite disaster. Buck and Christopher bond is so sweet and special. Buck's heroism in rescuing people shows that he truly is meant to be a firefighter. Him searching for Christopher for hours just brings home how much Eddie and Christopher have come to mean to Buck. It shows that Buck is the kind of person I want in my life, someone who would never give up on me and always has my back.
