have you ever played other games in the fire emblem franchise? if not, would u ever consider playing any of the other games?

FE is one of the series where I really want to play more entries in it, but Nintendo is making it real hard for me.

I know a lot about Fates because its our partner's favorite, and we heard a lot about it while they were playing, but unfortunately we can't play it *together* because it's locked on the 3DS and any time we try to play a 3DS game together on the console we fall asleep due to cuddling. (this was the same problem we had with the Ace Attorney Apollo Justice trilogy).

The games before Fates are basically completely inaccessible right now as as far as I'm aware, and the most recent one doesn't seem very appealing to me.

however, if they ever remake Genealogy of the Holy War I am gonna be pre-ordering that shit XD

heyy!! i was reading the switcheroo comic’s on tapas again and i became a little confused about the timeline:

In the canon universe, when Pink died, the Diamonds immediately used your demage on eath. In the AU Spinel get out of the garden after she knew that Pink died, but Jasper mention that Spinel fight in the war.

Sooo, in your AU, The Diamond’s Final Attack happed really after Pink False Death? Because Spinel won’t turn a “monster” in the war just in a silly time, right?

Personally I don't feel the Diamond attack happened immediately after Pink's "shattering". I imagine it had to be reported and confirmed first and the Diamonds would have reacted in grief before deciding what to do. So there could easily have been a few years, even decades or more between Pink's "shattering" and the corruption wave. The war timeline is pretty vague in show (and has a major plothole if you take some characters at their word.)

I drew up this little timeline for the AU before, but these days I'm starting to think the "1,000 years" of war Pearl talks about is the time from the colony starting to the time the war ended, the war itself could have been a few centuries for all we know.

if you were writing TDP, how would you write Ethari's reaction to Runaan's arm in a way that is positive towards disabled people?

Ohhh that's a tricky one. There's no one way to make the entire disabled community happy: everyone prefers to see different things and feels represented in different things. Everyone has their own definition of what "good" and "positive" rep is.

That being said, disabilities are messy. Losing a limb (which I personally have never gone through) is bound to be messy. Life gets messy when you're disabled. It's messy. I want to see their life being, well... messy. (And not just because Ethari spent two years thinking his husband was dead.)

Runaan needs time to grieve. The loss of his arm, his ability, the life he used to have. He might be repulsed by his body, or angry at the people who put him where he is, or angry at himself for not being better. He needs time to go through the grieving process so that he can come out on the other side okay.

Ethari might grieve with him, for him. I don't have experience with friends becoming physically disabled--I'm the only physically disabled one in my circle lmao--but every day I'm grateful my best friend shows me as much love as they do. I think Ethari would show Runaan that same love and care. He would help Runaan come to see his body in a neutral light--body neutrality is great for physically disabled folks. He would help Runaan heal and accommodate his routines, and would be the most supportive husband ever.

And he would never pity him.

I think the fight sight of Runaan's bare shoulder could be horrifying. Not because of Runaan, but because of the severity of the injury. Ethari is used to Runaan coming home bleeding, but nothing close to what Runaan suffered in that coin.

But Ethari quickly gets used to it. It's a part of his beautiful husband, which makes it beautiful, too. And as time passes, Ethari helps Runaan come to accept his disability as a natural part of his body.

Disabled life being messy and real is important to me.

I wanted to ask about something regarding the disgust: is there cases where the disgust is invalid or wrong?

For example, let's just say that someone feels disgust towards gay relationships. Could their disgust considered invalid?

A person can't help how they feel, anon. It's never wrong or "invalid" to feel a certain way.

Your feelings are immaterial. They don't "matter" at the end of the day, to the outside world.

What matters is how you act in the world and how you treat other real people.

If someone's disgust toward gay relationships drives them to be cruel toward gay people, then those cruel actions are wrong.

Would it be better if a person who felt disgust toward gay relationships tried to get over and move past that feeling of disgust? Sure, that would probably be healthier. But as long as they aren't acting on their feelings, there's no material problem with the way they feel.

There are lots of reasons someone might experience feelings of disgust that are socially "wrong".

For instance, children raised by racist or anti gay parents often feel very real disgust toward interracial relationships or gay relationships.

This isn't the child's fault, and yes, it would be better if they worked through those feelings.

But feelings and thoughts are never wrong.

It is only actions that matter.

Just as there's no such thing as thoughtcrime, there's no such thing as "feelingcrime" either.

"Abrupt."

Barbara nodded and took a bite of her yogurt, deciding to leave it alone for now. "You were right, the Cotton Candy and the Vanilla are nice... I still don't see how you can eat cold gummy bears."

"I fucking love ice cream," you answer shrugging, "If I put gummy bears in it makes me slow down so I don't get brain freeze."

"You could just eat it slower," she snorted.

"That requires impulse control," you answer. "And who has room for that."

"You're just some kid," the green-haired man sneered, rictus smile doing little to mask the rage in his eyes. "You think you're going to kill me? I'm the Clown Prince of Crime!"

"I understand," Tim replied coolly, his nerves well masked as he feigned inspecting his nails, "you think you're better than this." Tim waved his hand airily, gesturing around the windowless room. "After everything you've done, all the people you've hurt- you'd at least earned going out with a bang, right?"

Tim smiled, a grim little thing. The Clown glared harder at him from his spot in the chair. He watched as the man shifted slightly, attempting to loosen his bonds-

It wouldn't work. Tim was nothing if not incredibly, terribly thorough. It wasn't arrogance to say he had the Clown exactly where he wanted him- it was a result of preparation.

Joker seemed to pick up on his predicament, the longer he went on letting him struggle. Eventually he spoke up again, usually shrill voice heightened in panic.

"Batsy's gonna swoop in and stop you, you little pest! He'd never let me-"

"-Batman is on an off-world mission for the next two days." Tim interrupted, stepping further into the room. "That gives us plenty of time."

I love imagining your BENT turtles after finding out Donnie's ages.

On one hand, Leo would be whining to Donnie about Raph and Mikey being mean to him, since Donnie is technically the oldest.

On the other hand, Raph treats Donnie like the baby and like he's still tiny, because in his mind he is, and yells at anyone that so much as looks at him wrong.

And Mikey just watches it all in mild amusement.

Their dynamic is definitely a fun one! Totally agree that after talking about ages they would all change how they interact with each other a bit

Is anybody in ace attorney actually gay?

No, the actual series is incredibly homophobic, and uses queer stereotypes and queer coding for humor and villains.

At one point the main character calls a flamboyant man a "fruitcake".

*Technically speaking* the game heavily implies that Lana Skye, a villain, has impure romantic feelings for another female character. And that Aura Blackquill, another villain, has impure romantic feelings for another female character.

No character is ever stated outright to have romantic feelings about a character of the same sex. There are no trans characters.

Many of the characters that people headcanon as gay don't actually canonically spend a lot of time together-- though of course there is plenty of subtext you can read into their relationships.

I will say that none of the main characters have stated or overt relationships of any kind. The het ships are just as nonexistent as the gay ones.

She usually wears boots or a more advanced model of shadows air/rocket shoes

But she most often wears a scientist outfit

A good example of her prostetic ,is a gold bronze like color, yet it is made from a metal far stronger than the known strongest metal

Not fun I’ll tell ya that. Not for me anyway.

It’s just a lot…legendaries in general have a sort of intimidating presence that makes them hard to be around, so imagine that, but times three and it’s like a weight pressing down on your soul at all times.

I haven’t gone through very many outward changes but I’m fairly sure if any doctor took a look at me I’d be medically dead. My insides are just shy of entirely frozen solid and needless to say nothing functions anymore.

If I had one good thing to say about it I guess having powers can be sorta cool, although I try to avoid using them just about all the time. Personal preference.

Far as I can tell a lot of legendaries tend to give their chosens some level of responsibility, but mine haven’t ever, which is rather lucky on my part.

I suppose there could be a situation where this kind of thing is actually a decision made by the human with full knowledge of what they were getting into, but so far…I haven’t really seen that. Here anyway.
