Buy Ukrainian
If you saw my post about the book "Unconquered" but couldn't take the heavy price tag just yet, you can get a second wave of the book on Indiegogo leading into March. Your name won't be added to the support list but you'll at least be getting a copy yourself sooner than waiting for it to be available months down the line and know that your support is there sooner as well.
Alternatively, please consider checking Made With Bravery, which is kind of like etsy, with the bonus of money spent on commission going to help Ukraine (sent to charities devoted to it) as well as an additional 5% of purchase if you use your Visa card. You can get clothes and accessories and the like.
There is also Spend With Ukraine, which offers a list of Ukrainian based companies you can buy from. (The only thing missing that might be of interest are entertainment companies such as for video games. See below.)
An important note, of course, should be made that you shouldn't expect ship times to be the same as you get from other places. Remember, it is still a war zone. But they are doing their best to get things out in order to bring money in to help the effort.
Speaking of, I got another email from Frogwares (developer of the super successful Sherlock Holmes games such as Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter and Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper) about having to delay the next SH game (Sherlock Homes: The Awakened which is technically a redo of an older game but same difference really since they are adding a bunch of stuff to it). So perhaps consider proving to them you really don't care it's been delayed and pre-order it or buy one of their other games (such as Magrunner Dark Pulse or The Sinking City in addition to the Sherlock Holmes games they've made). Also an option on the video games front: 4A Games, known for the Metro games (lost at least one of their developers in the war); GSC Game World, known for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (also lost at least one of their devs in the war and changed the spelling of their next game to Chornobyl which has garnered even further scorn along with its delaying due to the war). GSC also asks for support sent to United24, which is where the Made With Bravery money goes as well.
Also worth mentioning though I don't see them having many big games on the horizon: Beatshapers, Best Way, Vostok Games, Room 8. Best Way is apparently working on Men of War 2, and Room 8 has actually helped develop games like Deathloop and Returnal (both very similar) and have a couple games in-house that have been published since the war started such as Syberia: The World Before.
(You may also be familiar with Chernobylite which is actually developed by a Polish company but they have given their support to the Ukrainian war effort so it's only fair they be mentioned as well.)
We all offer support in our own ways. If it takes getting something out of it yourself that is more tangible, there are options. I'm sure there are a few I'm missing outside of any earlier posts I may have reblogged when it comes to charity for the war effort. If any links break or don't send you to the right place, they are all easily (re)found via Googling the names I have given (maybe with 'video game' tacked on or w/e) or however else you search for sites.

some cool news for anyone interested in sh figuarts, they're re-releasing zi-o, build, ex-aid, ghost, and drive as "heisei generations editions", all of which will include their primary weapons!
zi-o and build's initial releases required you to buy their bikes separately to get their main weapons, so this is a very welcome alternative (although if you want geiz to have his weapons to go with your zi-o you'll still have to shill out for the ugly bike :/ )
ex-aid and ghost had their weapons packed in on initial release so the main bonus here is just getting brand new versions for anyone who hasn't snagged them yet. ghost unfortunately doesn't seem to come with yurusen, which was a pre-order bonus (?) with the first release, but the trade-off here is having the orange on his suit actually look orange, since i've heard a lot of original ghost shfs have degraded into a more yellowy color over time
drive is arguably the best deal here, as he originally didn't come with either of his weapons, forcing you to buy type wild for the steering sword and type technic for the door gun. drive fans get your hot wheels
not sure when these go up for pre-order on the usual sites, but they're scheduled to release in january of 2024!

hey!
i have been meaning to answer this for a day or two, but i've been sick, so i was kind of out of it (once again), haha. sorry.
here are five (more) things that make me happy, not necessarily in a preference order:
being able to go to the supermarket- although it can be somewhat of a struggle mentally and overwhelming sometimes- and buy ingredients to cook a meal (bonus points if i am cooking for someone else- i am not the best, but i am trying, haha. i really like having someone close to me there to taste the food or the dessert, though, not to see their reaction but to know that they are fed and- if we are both lucky, haha- happy they ate whatever they ate). i recognise it is, unfortunately, a huge privilenge to have nowadays and i cherish it.
exquisite cinematography in films or shows. i am nowhere near an expert in the field, but, in most cases, i truly adore the landscapes, the close-ups, everything, even the smallest of details in the background- anne with an e and young royals are a perfect, in my humble opinion, example of what i am trying to say here. especially the, if i am correct, symbolism behind... ah. it makes me extremely happy.
the glint in someone's eyes when you compliment them. i, unfortunately, haven't done that in quite a while, ever since i moved to college i believe, because my social skills have been very limited for the past year and a half (new, bigger city, people i don't know and don't feel comfotable around and all that jazz), haha. but i get so happy when people get happy being complimented- of course, in a reasonable and kind manner and with measure and deep consideration beforehand, because we do not support creepy behaviour in this blog, no, no. a great example i can think of is my- huge, embarrassing- crush back in high school and the way her eyes lit up when i told her her knitted jacket looked like it was made for her, because it matched her personality somehow, "if she allowed me to say so".
reenacting scenes from books or movies and shows when i am alone. it's refreshing. it's happiness in a small room, four walls and me. it's nectar for the soul. what else is there to say?
the smell of grass. although as a kid i used to get (??) allergies (??) from smelling the grass and the flowers too much in the pre-school playground during spring time, i believe, i still feel happy to know that it's rained by just nostagically smelling the grass, in spite of a runny nose, tears and maybe some follow-up sinusitis (yes, i am kind of stupid, haha, what's new?).

(don't worry, they only use the blood on themselves for the spook effect when trick-or-treaters drop by, since floyd doesn't want to get it into any carpets...he still has some semblance of adult-y-ness in him dw)
and as for trips to nrc for halloween...they're definitely the type to take both their kids there as a special treat !! they'd probably come and visit during the beginning of hween week ("bc it's the least busy and crowded," jade reasoned) and they'd stay for the banquet ("bc the big party's the most fun~," floyd suggested). as a bonus they'd also walk around and show their kids different places around nrc ("see, this is where me 'n your uncle used to work," floyd would say, pointing at mostro lounge. "wanna get a snack?") ("i often spent my time tending to plants in here," jade would chuckle as they delved into the botanical gardens.) and when the party rolls around they'd all get dressed up very spooky and go around and meet ghosts and eat candy and and yeah. hween with tweel dads <3

Story - summarized
You and Momo bring Nikki to the best dessert shop in Ninir. You’re here to make her a birthday cake, but also to spend the day trying desserts and relaxing on the cushions. Nikki has been wanting to go here for a long time, and she is excited to be here!
Each of the shop’s three floors has something different. The first floor depicts candy art, with individual pieces coming together in aesthetically fantastic ways. It’s also where you will make Nikki’s cake.
The second floor has tea and cookies for the customers. There’s also photos and videos from past customers who share their memories of fun times with loved ones and their cakes. Nikki remembers home, when her older sister would smear frosting on her face while her dad took photos.
Lastly, the third floor houses all kinds of desserts and snacks to purchase. Nikki and Momo have a list of snacks to get for everyone at the birthday party tonight, and finally, they find them all. As a bonus, Nikki can pre-order cakes here to deliver to friends on their special day. Excitedly, she sketches ideas for Yexiao, Loen...
When Momo asks about a cake for you, Nikki tells him that she doesn’t need to pre-order a cake. She will always be with you, and she will make the cake herself!
As the sun sets, the three of you head back home, stomachs full and hearts bursting. Nikki calls this the perfect day.

-When you play through the events for Nikki’s surprise birthday, these events take place during the same time as the baking mini-game.
-Nikki’s design for Yexiao’s birthday cake is of spicy hotpot. When you first meet her in Vol. 1, she offers to cook dinner for everyone... not realizing that no one else eats extra spicy food except her.
-For Loen’s cake, Nikki drew doves against a blue sky and Loen standing underneath. This lines up with the artwork for Loen’s awakened Mind Maze Reflection, Gleaming Snow.
Fun Facts
-For the second birthday event, you got to make your own cake for Nikki in a mini-game. You chose a flavor, a fruit, and a nut. (I think mine was a strawberry almond vanilla cake.)
-In Chapter 3, when Nikki is buying the food, the staff refers to the both of you as “ladies.” Since all genders play the game (and the translation could have been off), I took that part out.
-Aeon’s chosen dessert is the one that changes the most in translation. Among the Index, the transcript, and a direct translation from the Chinese server, he eats his egg tart with either absinthe, coriander, or wormwood (respectively).

This Steelbook case was released in the United States on February 9, 2023 at Best Buy as a free bonus item for pre-ordering the game, Octopath Traveler II. The store offered two Steelbooks, each with the same design, but with the intention of separate systems. One could comfortably fit discs and it would come with either PlayStation version of the game. The Nintendo Switch version was designed to match the unique dimensions of the standard game case and instead can fit the cartridge inside. It was a Best Buy exclusive. It was only available while supplies last.

who starts putting up decorations in october?
I want to say Merilwen, I’m not sure why. Possibly with Egbert.
who buys the advent calendars?
Corazon buys himself one, not the whole group. The others might if they ran into them somewhere and found them interesting, but don’t actually plan to or look for them.
who places mistletoes all around the house?
Corazon puts it in any place where he thinks he can take advantage of it. Dob puts some up too, but his tend to be in weirder places.
who wraps the presents for other people?
Corazon does it if it's for anyone he wants to impress or if his name is going to be on it. Otherwise, everyone wraps their own... for some definition of wrapping. (Prudence feels like someone who usually just hands them over unwrapped to me. Dob often gifts things that can't really be wrapped, but that does not stop him from trying.)
who puts the final star/angel on the top of the christmas tree?
It starts as a joke competition, but over time becomes less of a joke and more of an actual competition. Sometimes it is playful, sometimes it is... not.
who’s the one that hates eggnog?
I can't remember if anything canonical contrasts this, but Prudence seems more into savory than sweet, so probably her.
who’s the one that bakes christmas cookies for guests?
I mean. Bismuth, actually. XD Most of them could but I'm not sure any of them would bother.
(Bonus mundane-university-fic variant because it crossed my mind, in that world it's definitely a group activity. Someone measure, someone keeps an eye on the oven, they all decorate. Egbert usually mixes because he's not great at measuring and usually burns things in the oven.)
who sends out the christmas cards?
I don’t know why I can see it being Egbert above all the rest of them, but it is.
who knows all the words to twelve days of christmas?
Dob knows it because of his days trying to find bard work pre-guild. Merilwen knows it because I feel like it's a random thing she'd remember, but some of the lines she's used to are slightly different. Corazon claims to, but his version is even more different. He says it's the pirate version.
(I now want to write either an in-universe Geth’s version of Twelve Days of Christmas, or a meta Oxventure one.)
who’s the better snowman builder?
In order from best to worst, it goes: Merilwen (most patience for this kind of thing, seems like her kind of fun outdoor activities); Dob (seems like the kind of thing he'd be weirdly good at); Corazon (has very particular methods that work very well for him most of the time, just not all of the time); Prudence (but usually she doesn't bother to do it); Egbert (they tend to melt before he's done with them).
who starts snowball fights?
Prudence slightly edges out the others but they've all done it and all will do it on a whim.
who’s the one that wakes the other on christmas morning by playing christmas songs really loudly?
Dob and/or Corazon, it depends who gets up first. Dob’s might be a mistake when he just gets up early and gets really into the spirit. Corazon’s is not, he wants his gifts already.
