wada sez: We’ve had a few strips about Praxus by this point, you should know the deal. Knott based Red Alert’s design on a custom War Within Sideswipe, paired here with Prowl’s canonical design. Clean colors below.

Dear Vector Prime, Have you ever been to the DW Universe? If yes, may I ask if you’ve know about or encounter with Stunticons and Aerialbots when they’re young? I’m just wondering where they came from and what they were doing before the war. Because they’ve been existed for a long time compared to G1 cartoon and G1 Marvel Universe. Thank you for your answer!
Dear Curtailed Combiner,
After the Crisis Intervention Accords were ratified by all major factions on Cybertron, all Special Teams were forbidden to combine, lest the planet be destroyed in the ensuing carnage. This caused a rift among the Aerialbots; Air Raid, Fireflight, and Slingshot felt they had a right to combine. Silverbolt expressly disagreed with this, and so the other three called him a coward who was afraid of his own power, even his own ability to fly! They abandoned Silverbolt, and Skydive sadly joined them at Silverbolt's urging to serve as a voice of reason.
The Stunticons instead sought to sell Menasor at a premium—violating the Crisis Intervention Accords was a challenge for them, not a deterrent. Claiming they were on Starscream's Predacon faction, they combined into Menasor and overwhelmed Grimlock's Lightning Strike Coalition. As things became dire for Grimlock's team, their savior arrived—Superion!
Their battle was brief, but cataclysmic, and although they emerged victorious, the other Aerialbots realized Silverbolt’s hesitation was not cowardice, but wisdom.
After Menasor was defeated, Motormaster and Dead End escaped—formally joining Starscream’s team for protection against the other factions—while the other three Stunticons were captured and imprisoned. Silverbolt knew that he had performed an illegal combination, but for the right reasons, and despite the thanks from the Autobots and the L.S.C., the Aerialbots exiled themselves from Cybertron as per the Accords.
Much later, when Optimus Prime prepared to flee Cybertron with a group of Autobots, he granted a reprieve to the Aerialbots, who joined him and eventually ended up on Earth.

The weird thing about the Dreamwave continuity that despite it being a "modern retelling" of G1 for the now 20 somethings (specifically those who really just watched the cartoon), most of the cartoon's events probably didn't even happen in that universe
Most of the earth cast are from the 1984 toys with everyone else in season 2 being back on cybertron so you can guess that most of season 2 didn't even happen but even then, Omega Supreme & Jetfire didn't awake until the modern 2000s so you can cut out some of their plots, and generally anything involving Cybertron until vol 2
We could probably use Beast Wars & Machines as templates for might've happened in the comic's world assuming the shows happened beat for beat, some other things might've happened though the events of the 86 movie probably didn't occur that much in the comic

Dreamwave Prime— Top (and only) psychic of the Autobot Elite Guard,,,
Dreamwave Prime attended Autobot Academy alongside Primes Sentinel and Optimus, as well as the late Elita-1, under drill sergeant Kup. He was among the top cadets of his class, skillfully wielding his psychic capabilities with never-before-seen prowess.
Tumblr media
In his academy days, he was outgoing, calm-yet-brightly dispositioned, sharp as shrapnel, and exuded pure promise. He was predicted to graduate with flying colors, breaking several academy records.
During his tenure at the academy, Dreamwave volunteered to go with a team of fellow cadets to assist in the repairs of an old Autobot combat vessel. Cadets Sentinel, Optimus, and Elita-1 did not accompany him.
On the mission, a small group of the cadets performing maintenance on the combat vessel entered an off-limits area of the ship, activating the defunct rear and central thrusters, causing the vessel to begin to collapse.
Dreamwave assisted in the rescue of several of his fellow cadets, before he fell through one of the ship’s crumbling elevator shafts and down into the energon reserve, where raw, unstable energon had been allowed to pile up. The resulting explosion left Dreamwave on the brink of death.
The cadets responsible for the tragedy were expelled from the academy. Despite his grievous injuries, Dreamwave pulled through, following extensive repairs. He was granted the rank of Prime, and now serves as a valuable asset to the Autobot Intel and Science divisions.
Tumblr media
Dreamwave Prime’s processor, when in an unconscious state, has power that rivals Cybertron’s most advanced supercomputers. This power is used by the Intel and Science divisions to decode, encrypt, analyze, calculate, and otherwise process valuable data. The Prime’s dreams are immensely powerful, and can, on occasion, be induced via sedatives.
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT HIM HEHSGSG

I love Jazz being an "extremely intelligent" scholar with a "voracious appetite" for more information who "is an expert in sociology, history, and culture." I feel like it's always obvious that Jazz is extremely smart in how adaptable and skilled he is, but I feel like I don't often see his interests discussed as academic, at least not in the fandom? Maybe because they're robots, I think transformers who are nerds are often focused on STEM fields, so Jazz being a... humanities for lack of a better word... scholar is really cool!

Transformers: Mosaic #622 - "Smashing Impact"

Later revised and annotated for Transformers: Seeds of Deception
wada sez: “Bullets” included this dialogue from Ironfist: “I’ve waited all my life for this moment, Springer, ever since I watched Impactor leap from an exploding hover-bike onto the roof of the Vosian Citadel. I remember dead Decepticons crashing out of the windows on the sixth floor, then the fifth, then the fourth. I remember him walking out of the front doors, firing his harpoon into a low-flying shuttle pod and disappearing into the sunset. From that moment the Wreckers were one of the few constants in my bit-part, backroom life.” So yeah. Clean art below.

Dear Vector, are there any transformers with any ice powers that you know? - your big transformers fan Elodie
Dear Sub-Zero Searcher,
Hailstorm was another Seeker clone created in Shockwave's Epsilon lab along with his "brother" Sunstorm. However, where Sunstorm felt superior, he felt inferior. When he awakened, he knew that his primary mission was to journey to Earth and hide both Autobot and Decepticon bodies alike under deep ice after Shockwave's cover-up of the Ark II tragedy in 1999. He was defeated by Scourge shortly before Ultra Magnus arrived on Earth.
His primary ability is "Diamond Dust", which can either summon a blizzard made of large ice chunks, or very small ones; the latter creates "halos" that can disrupt electronic detection. This was in fact used to hide the location of the members of the Ark II after its explosion.

I wanna see Shockwave wielding the Fusion Canon after he Overthrew Megatron
(Because I still like the Idea of Shockwave pretending to be Loyal to Megatron and planning to Take his Leadership someday and also because I keep seeing Optimus Prime with a Fusion Canon in the New Transformers Comics)
