⚡️Happy Birthday to photographer extraordinaire Dominique Tarlé who took some of the of the most famous photographs in music history, including this one during the legendary Rolling Stones Exile on Main St. recordings in the South of France in 1971. 🇫🇷 You can see Dominique reflected in the mirror in this amazing shot.. 😉 Joyeux anniversaire Dominique! 🎉 @tarledominique Keith Richards reclines on the parquet floor of the luxurious Villa Nellcôte in the South of France during the legendary Exile on Main St. recordings. ✨ Seated with what appears to be his legendary 1953 Fender Telecaster - nicknamed "Micawber" - in his lap, Keith is surrounded by Anita Pallenberg, looking as stylish as ever with her legs slung over an armchair, Gram Parsons, and Parsons' girlfriend at the time, Gretchen Burrell. The guitar was supposedly gifted to him on his 27th birthday about 6 months earlier by Eric Clapton, and it remains one of his very favorite instruments to this day. ❤️ This image is the most iconic and sought-after photograph from that legedary Summer of 1971. Si es que hay uno de esos discos que puedes decir “es uno de los mejores que puede existir” en lo particular, es este #EricClapton Unplugged , el sexto álbum en directo publicado por Reprise Records en agosto de 1992.Fue grabado en los estudios Bray Film de Windsor (Inglaterra) para la serie MTV Unplugged e incluyó una serie de canciones en formato acústico, entre ellas el éxito internacional «Tears in Heaven». Today Live! Steve Ferrone, most prominently known as the drummer in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, is also a former member of the Average White Band and has recorded and performed with Duran Duran, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Slash, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, and Johnny Cash. Steve’s also appeared on recordings by Brian May, Anita Baker, George Benson, Jonathan Butler, Bryan Ferry, Eric Clapton, Christine McVie, Peter Frampton, Jeff Golub, Rick James, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Freddie King, Tracy Chapman, Pat Metheny, Steve Winwood, Michael W. Smith, Paul Simon, and Jaco Pastorius, will be in the house! His house, but Zoomin' with us.

Already a legend when I was booking rock clubs in New York back in the days, I was in a daze and don’t think we ever spoke, but I was always aware whenever he was around by the admiring ruckus surrounding him.

There were a number of near misses through the years, finally meeting him at one of Steve Postell's gigs some years ago, and then at Will Lee’s a few years later. I pounced, as is my wont. We had a great time on here in 2019- and broken Thanksgiving bread of late, and

so look forward to sitting down again with this man who has sat behind innumerable rock heroes, and, is one hisself.

'My Life in Pictures' features over 300 photographs and artworks, with Boyd sharing full and intimate access to her personal archive for the first time. Former wife of George Harrison and Eric Clapton, Boyd is famously the inspiration for Harrison’s “Something” and Clapton’s “Layla” and “Wonderful Tonight.” Boyd’s love of photography developed around the time of her marriage to Harrison. She documented their life together, and later also her second marriage to Clapton, capturing a vast archive of images not just as part of two of the most famous marriages of all time, but also documenting their close friends and contemporaries, including Twiggy, David Bailey, Mick Jagger, Billy Preston and the Beatles.⁠ ⁠ Boyd’s archive also includes letters from her marriages and from friends, including John and Yoko. It includes diary entries, artifacts and artworks, most famously the original 'Layla' album cover painting by Emile Frandsen. It features extensive photographs from her early modeling career for Vogue and Vanity Fair among other publications, giving a fascinating snapshot into the sea change that occurred in the modeling industry from the postwar demure black-and-white approach to the psychedelic, short-skirt, swinging ’60s. It includes portraits and photographs of Boyd taken by some of the greatest photographers of the 20th century, such as David Bailey, Eric Swayne, Terence Donovan, Robert Freeman and Robert Whitaker.
