The Love Witch (2016)

Oh my god, who gave Anna Biller permission to reach into my head and produce my thoughts into a movie? This is the positive witch representation I have been striving to find! Plus, Elaine was so real for what she did!

I’m in love with many things. First off, I thought this movie was made in the 60s, so not only was the mod style pulled off really well, even the vignette of the camera and the special effects made me think that Samantha Robinson was a regular Twiggy-level star.

In a film like this, you can tell that every shot, costume, scene, hell, even character name is deliberate. This movie is so carefully crafted. You can see every detail being thought out and placed perfectly. For that, I admire this movie.

Watch this if:

you have ever made ‘potions’ as a little kid

the mish mash of bright colours in horror/thrillers catches your eye

you love Nick and Jess’ first kiss scene in New Girl (no, I won’t elaborate)

Eu andei revendo algumas cenas de Barraca do Beijo e, realmente, a Elle e o Lee são os piores. O Marco só errou mesmo em ficar em cima da Elle mesmo ela namorando e ainda provocou o Noah e socou ele na frente de todo mundo após o jogo de vôlei na praia. A Elle tratou mal o Noah desde o primeiro filme e o Lee com aquelas regras machucou até o próprio irmão e a namorada. Vamos ser sensatos aqui. Se não fosse a Rachel e o Noah, o Lee e a Elle estariam plantados na barraca do beijo esperando serem beijados faz tanto tempo e não teriam relacionamentos sérios. Eu também não gostei da atitude dos demais perante o que o Noah passou. Eles foram omissos. A Chloe é uma das que eu passo pano sim, por seu um amor de pessoa, nunca estragou nada. O Noah mereceu mais, sério. Ele foi protetor apenas e sempre foi maduro. Não venham falar de histórico, porque, não sabe. Ele era mulherengo sim, mas, nunca traiu a Elle como ela fez. Quem fala que ele é lixo, não sabe assistir filmes direito. E só defende mulher por ser mulher. Me desculpa, mas, ela não mereceu o amor dele mesmo e se fez de santa o tempo todo. Pareceu que ela nunca amou ele de verdade como ele amou.
