Following you is fucking wild(affectionate) I'll just be scrolling through my dash and suddenly see some drop dead gorgeous art of some character and I'll just be like "Ah yes I see they're simping for him now" and you'll draw them so beautifully that it's impossible for me to not immediatly agree that said character is most definitly attractive
I'm glad my plan is working then.
....And if you have been following me for a while I apologize for putting you all through the different men I've been shoving to y'all.

hc that Ethan is just as unhinged as the rest of the TA demigods but is in possession of a few brain cells so whenever he's with them he needs to tone it down to be the acting mum friend because if he doesn't an errand to get milk will end with a hospital visit

Ohohohohohohohoho YES >:)
(full disclosure this was sitting in my inbox for weeks because i couldn't figure out what to write but i did it today in math class so here you go)
He was stern, and cold, and dispassionate; a statue, they called him, beautiful and unfeeling and as pristinely white as marble, resistant to the colors of love and laughter- or at least, that's what they said.
She was beautiful too, but not in his opaque, colorless way- if he was a marble statue, she was a stained-glass window, full of light and warmth and color, and her soul was the dawn that shone through and cast her illuminating hues on the grey congregation of the soldiers around her.
And when he was with her- when the dawn of her smile graced the Captain, not grey and battered like his men but pristinely alabaster- he absorbed her color; the white and colorless turned brilliant shades of gold and green and blue, and the few blessed to witness this transfiguration swore that, for a moment, she could make their Captain look almost human.

watching the star trek movies again. i refuse to rank them because i love them all, but here are some thoughts. i may have a bit of an attachment to one of the characters.
The Motion Picture: One of my favourites. The 2022 Director’s Cut makes all of the sweeping establishing shots even longer and the music is so good, it’s so indulgent i love it. Enamoured with McCoy asking if he can tag along when Kirk pulls Decker aside and then powerwalking into the turbolift without waiting for a response. Love that whenever anything vaguely sad happens the characters all immediately tear up.
Rating: Prosthetic beard and gold medallion / 10
The Wrath of Khan: I still hold my longstanding position that this one is actually kinda confusing and all over the place, especially if you have no clue who Khan is like I did when I saw it as a kid. The ending is really impactful tho and I still always cry. Classic “despite his protestations, Spock is by far the most impulsive member of the crew” moment. Love McCoy counselling Kirk at the beginning. Most of the shots of the the Enterprise in spacedock are reused from TMP, which I wouldn’t have noticed had I not watched them in quick succession.
Rating: What about my performance? / 10
The Search for Spock: Wish they centred katric ark McCoy more, but I live off of the “but it seems that I’ve missed you” scene. Judo master Sulu. Saavik doesn’t get enough respect. The whole heist scene and the ending on Mt Seleya is great, but some of the Genesis planet stuff is kinda eh. I feel bad for Maltz (who is apparently played by John Larroquette??) because he wants to die so badly but no one kills him. Love it when Vulcans are super religious.
Rating: The way McCoy smiles after Spock remembers Kirk’s name / 10
Voyage Home: Honestly wasn’t what I was looking for in this run thru, but it’s still very fun. Wish McCoy was in it more. I feel so bad for him at the beginning trying to have a rapport and Spock is just… not there for it. Love the president’s uniform. love all of their uniforms. My Mormon friends all love the LSD joke and I always think of them when I get to that part. Another classic “Spock is the most impulsive member of the crew” moment.
Rating: Well, nobody’s perfect / 10
The Final Frontier: This is the best Star Trek, actually. I’m surprised gay fans aren’t all over this one. Lots of people think it’s about God but it’s actually about finding your family from among those you can trust to give you the love and support you need to make it through your pain, and coming to terms with when you’re alone or when you weren’t there for others with their help. Love that the villain is genuinely a good guy. Love that instead of Sean Connery, they got the guy from that one gay movie from 1970. (he plays sybok better than connery ever could tho.) Pioneer 10 :'( It’s kinda stupid, but it has the best character interactions in the entire series and it’s the only film to really put McCoy into the spotlight.
Rating: Melville :) / 10
Undiscovered Country: Solid finale for the original cast. The signatures at the end and the “where no man—where no one—” always get me. So does McCoy devastated he can’t help the Chancellor. The Kirk fight on Rura Penthe is fun, but I think the comedy is one of the weaker aspects of this one. Shout out to my mother, who, upon seeing the opening scene, goes “oh is this the one with Christian Slater in it?” (he’s in it for less than a minute.) also shout out to “the ice cave monster,” i’ve been looking for you. Love Spock’s little lies.
Rating: Sweet Jesus / 10

a very probably unhinged thought at 3 am: what if—
you get invited for drinks and a wind down from the 141, but you refuse, wishing to just you know, stay home and be a cute hermit (it's the best kinda way to relax if i say so myself)
but your friend, who works at a (club? bar? not sure of the exact term, my first language isn't english, terribly sorry) asks you to sing/dance (with the incentive that the you get free drinks for the rest of the night if you do)
they just need help cuz the person who was supposed to work at that time wasn't available, and well— looks at you (you're free, able and well, there at their side) and then after a while you do accept because, hey, free drinks a possible good time—
then, and then— coincidentally, the 141, decides to go at the place your friend works, and now, the place you were about to put on a little show to.
and so you do put on a little show for them, and well, let's just say their jaw dropped and theyre all hot and bothered (to say the least).
(honestly could possibly end with coming home with one of them)
i am so sorry for making you read this. i just had a thought— i thought i might share this with someone fbksjsjs
I LOVE THIS!!! it's very fitting with the singer!mc aesthetic from before. and ommmmmgggg this is so terribly cute!!! 🥰🥰

I have thoughts but I don't know how to arrange them. I just... A lot of people are like "I can't see Tarkin dating a lowly stormtrooper!!! Maybe another officer but not a stormtrooper!"
Which is fair but I also thinks that they work because TK-421 isn't an officer, has no interest in promotions or greed and seems to want to just be free of the imperial army at large.
Like, think about it. A person like Grand Moff Tarkin is probably prime for people dating not for him but people dating the doors he could open for them. It's a status thing. He's in Palpatine's most inner circle. Even for other officers, he can offer promotions and secrets beyond their clearance and access to and the favor of the Emperor. And so he always has to be careful of it-are these people with him for the grand moff? It's like he says in Of MSE-6 and Men. He can't let his icy exterior down because the greed of the core natives are waiting for the first sign they can get a leg up. Even his ex boyfriend longtime friend from their academy years tries to get Tarkin to put in a word for him with Palpatine when Tarkin has just returned from three years off planet
And then comes G7 with the hologram of TK-421. He's gorgeous, and it'll be casual. He'll keep his walls up. He knows what to expect. No one has to know, and it won't go on for long.
But then TK-421 isn't like anyone else. He has no interest in secrets or the Emperor or promotions. In fact, he dreams of leaving it all behind. Of a racing circuit on Coruscant, of comfortable living conditions for him and his droid, and of lighting like the one on the station that Tarkin built.
Of stuff that, being born into the wealthiest family on the planet, Tarkin could've given him if they had met in a different life. All Sevastian wants is something Wilhuff could've easily provided, if their life never expanded past Eriadu. He could've made this man happy by just being Wilhuff.
For once, he doesn't have to be grand moff or governor, or any title. Because he can provide for his lover as a man, provide a home and allowance from his own wealth. And that's probably-huge. Bigger than TK-421 knows.
I think there is very much a safety and comfort thing from sleeping around with someone who has no interest in his work life. Who dreams are probably crazy, but they make him laugh, he makes him laugh. And Tarkin allows it because he's safe. Their job difference is so very unsafe, even Palpatine would scold him for fucking a trooper, but Sevastian is warmth and safety as long as they keep it hidden.
For once in his life, perhaps for the very first time(Definitely since he was in single digits), just being Wilhuff is enough.
(He knows that the stormtrooper is using him for those things, that the trooper doesn't feel as deeply, but he wants to believe once they're away from the army and the Death Star, perhaps he'll feel safe enough to start opening up his heart. He doesn't mind Sev playing him like a fool. Better a fool than an idiot who allowed access to stars know how many secrets)
So yeah that's my response to all those comments. On surface level, yes. But when you think about how characters are fluid and this is definitely bookverse, the only person Wilhuff could truly let in is someone like TK-421 given his past in Tarkin. It's also why King of My Heart by Taylor Swift is SO them, with the themes of the love that is the one being more simplistic and lowkey than all the others(Cause all those boys and their expensive cars/their range rovers and their jaguars/never took me quite where you do and Up on the roof with a school girl crush/drinking beer out of plastic cups/say you fancy me not fancy stuff/Baby, all at once this is enough). I said what I said(But also the acoustic version she sang at an engagement party, not the big studio/concert version).
