Have a little something from LA Lonely -> this is after the fun and orgasms of Buck and Eddie’s hook up. Still don’t know if I’m going to go full spice 🌶️ or just do a quick little run down of things.

Buck expects him to start pulling his clothes on and to give him the whole “this was fun, but I gotta bounce” speel, but Eddie surprises him by climbing back into bed and nudging Buck to roll onto his side so Eddie can scoot up behind him and hold him.

Buck freezes for a moment because no one does this. They have their fun and then they leave. They don’t stay and they definitely don’t cuddle.

Eddie must feel him go tense because his hold loosens and he moves as if he’s about to pull away. “Is this okay?”

Buck grabs at the arms that are wrapped around him, stopping Eddie’s descent. “Y-yeah. It’s-it’s okay.” He pulls at Eddie’s arms and the man settles back behind him, burrowing his face into the juncture where Buck’s neck meets his shoulder as he shuffles closer.

Soft kisses are pressed into his skin and Buck is helpless but to relax back into Eddie, letting the comfort and warmth of whatever is happening wrap around him.

“Stay?” He whispers, not sure if Eddie can hear him but not being brave enough to say it any louder. He feels like he’s asking too much.

A kiss behind his ear. “Okay.”

Actually curious as to what people’s general opinion of Ozbert is in this year of 2023. Does shipping them equate to getting hashtag cancelled? Are they still The OTP of the series?? Or are they strictly Platonic Besties For Life. I do not know

It’s weird tho bc obviously if you’ve read the manga you KNOW their situation is very Complicated™️. When they were both the same age it was fine but then Oz got yeeted into the Abyss and time jumped 10 years forward while he was in there for like 3 days and suddenly Gil’s like. 9 years older than him. But then Uncle Oscar still classifies Oz as being 25 even tho he’s physically 15. And then we find out that Oz’s body isn’t even HIS it belongs to Jack so that’s messed up. AND we find out Gil’s actually not just 24 he’s OVER 100 years old bc Baskerville shit. And THEN we find out Oz is actually the true B Rabbit so that makes it so he’s probably even older than Gil is. When we get to the end of the series they’re both canonically confirmed to be hundred(s) of years old so I’m sitting here like. Well,

A being that’s existed for a LONG long time. And one that isn’t even human #So I can totally see him whole heartedly chasing after Gil once he realizes that #Anyway. Rant over sorry LOL #Either way. In light of me being obsessed with House saying he started to see Benny as a son, House is a hypocrite in calling Yes-man a vanity project cause while Vegas is clearly his vanity project with all his plans for it, there’s something more subtly vain about trying to rewrite and recreate an hypothetical heir in his image that he clearly would’ve done with Benny as he does it with you.

In general I agree with everyone who thought that Jamie reaching out to his dad this episode didn’t sit right because that’s not what forgiveness should really mean in this context. We the viewer know that James Tartt Sr is in rehab which could potentially open up the possibility of Jamie resuming contact with him in a healthy manner (although even that’s deeply fraught) but crucially Jamie doesn’t know that.

That being said, what I don’t agree with is that this is a misstep of the show, because by no means is it ooc for Jaime to want to reach out. Does it muddy the themes of the show somewhat with regards to forgiveness? Yes, but they already demonstrated their point with Rebecca and Rupert. She was able to move on from that relationship and accept the good parts as well as the bad without giving any ground on letting Rupert back into her life. We already have that healthier, more linear model of healing from an abusive relationship. Not every character, and certainly not every person is able to do that perfectly on the first try, and given that Jamie is still young, not angry for probably the first time in his life, and has at least some reason to worry about his dad (with him not being in the stands I certainly thought he was dead until the rehab reveal) it makes sense that Jamie would want to reach out and see if he’s okay.

This show has demonstrated time and again that it’s not about perfect people. Sometimes they misstep or do something stupid and unhealthy because they’re people. Roy was insensitive and selfish when Keeley’s sex tape was leaked, Issac lashed out when what his friend needed was support. These were all dealt with by the show as natural character flaws that arise in moments of conflict or stress, even for our “good guys”. Jamie texting his dad is in the same vein. Hopefully that means the show will address it as such in the finale.

I don’t think I understood until I was an adult that your own pets feel distinctly different from family pets growing up

We got cats when I was in high school, and they’re still kicking. I’m visiting, and we have a cat called Misha. And I LOVE him, I do! He’s still my phone background, he’s still my main tumblr avatar, but… he has little brother energy. He’s my brother. He annoys the piss out of me and I love him to pieces and he’s family

But my cats? They’re my babies. They’re mine, to protect and care for and love and shelter in a way that’s just… more? I don’t have the child with me since she doesn’t get along with Misha, and I miss her fiercely, and I already want to go home and scoop her up and I LOVE my childhood cats and they’re still mine, but in a different way
