Note
Can I please have number 9 from your comfort gestures with our boy Poe please? 😘
here's a cheeky Poe for you 😊💖 thank you so much for requesting! Also, I know the prompt says winking or sending them kisses but like... why not both?
Prompt list: Small but comforting gestures #9. winking at them, or sending them flying kisses and seeing them fluster
Pairing: Poe Dameron x reader
Word count: 549 words
CW: mentions of nudity (or: Poe talking about seeing him in his underwear which is also a warning by itself really)
Tumblr media
Poe couldn’t help it, he was unbelievably proud. You had been nervous since the night before… even before that, since the moment the General asked you to deliver the news on your mission alongside her, and seeing you up there, showing the entire base how much of a badass you are, had transformed his face into a huge, proud smile.
“It’s nothing big, I don’t know why she wants me there.” You had told Poe for what probably was the millionth time, fidgeting with the sheet as you got ready for bed.
“Are you kidding me? You found a whole-ass First Order settlement, sweetheart.” He had grabbed your face sweetly, making you look into his eyes - reassuring and soft, and so, so full of warmth. “You deserve to be there so everyone sees that it was you who found it, that’s why she wants you there, and you know it.” With a soft kiss, he calmed your nerves down. “Besides I’m going to be there, so if you get nervous just look for me and picture me in my underwear.”
“Poe!” You pushed him away, snorting at his terrible advice.
“What? That’s not how it works?” He laughed back, his mission of making you forget about it successful enough.
But there you were now, in front of the whole Resistance right next to Leia chiming in with your tasks on the mission as she told everyone about your discovery and your amazing job - her words, not anyone else’s -, all while you, for Maker’s sake, could not stop your hands from sweating and shaking.
You did what you knew best, maybe even unconsciously so: among the crowd in front of you you looked for Poe. It was easy to find him, after all, he had to be close to the General, but the moment you met his eyes you regretted it immediately. Not because of the way he was smiling or the way he was looking at you, but because of the wink he gave at you - cheeky and so confident, and definitely reminding you of the solution he gave to your nerves.
You had to bite your tongue not to giggle out loud, sending him a warning with your eyes that told him to behave. You should have known better since the flying kiss he gave as a response did all but calm you down: your ears were turning red, your breath hitched in your throat, and an audible shaky sigh made Leia turn to look at you.
“Would you mind going deeper into detail about it, Lieutenant?” Her lifted eyebrow told you she had seen it all.
“You were supposed to help, you nerf head.” You scolded him, pushing his shoulder as you joined him, sitting beside him again.
“That’s your own fault, honey.” Poe laughed with a kiss against your head, his arm reaching around your shoulders to pull you closer to him. “I’m really proud of you, you know that right?”
 “I know.” You were glad you had rested your head on his shoulder, not letting him see you get flustered again.
“Just for that, you do get to see me in my underwear tonight.” His last words were mixed with a giggle as you pushed his leg in annoyance.
“I’ll hold you to that, Dameron.”

Delta Landscaping Chapter 11: Right on Target
Tumblr media
Series Summary: In this AU, the boys of Delta Force start a new business post-Colombia.
Series Masterlist | Chapter 11 A03 Link
Rating: Explicit (18+) No smut in this one, just some angst.
Word Count: 6.8k
Previously on As the Mule Falls: We got a heavy dose of Frankie, learning a bit about his backstory as well as the relationship between his sister, sister-in-law, niece and nephew. Valeria is a detective, literally. Did you catch who her partner was? 😉 Benny signed up for a fight a little sooner than he’d like, but thanks to Will and Connor, he’s going to start training. The Neighborhood Watch learned a bit about Cousin Joel thanks to Melissa’s research.
On this Episode: Frankie is still in Dallas, being the best uncle. We get a scene with the Pikes. Will and Katie get in their own heads. Benny and Santiago go to Melissa’s for a consultation. Connor helps scout some of Omar’s fights. There’s a Target run, literally. Will and Katie go to Target on the hunt for birthday gifts for Olivia’s boys. Will and Katie open up. (I made a little moodboard for this episode).
Chapter Warning: Difficult parent relationships. Unsupportive partners. Domestic Marcus Pike comes with his own warning.
If you ever have questions about any of the content, please reach out. The last thing I want is for someone to have a negative reaction. Overall this is a happy, silly series but it is grounded in some reality.
*Cue the theme music and roll opening credits*
TUESDAY
“Hey Hermano, how’s it going? How’re the kids?”
“Oh they’re great, they’re already so big, Pope” Frankie chuckled. Santiago called to tell him that the cleaning lady needed to reschedule for later in the week. Frankie had a few moments to himself while Valeria and Alyssa got the kids ready for bed so he was happy to catch up with his friend. “Leia is so beautiful man, and Antonio is a lot of fun. Took him to his first Rangers game today.”
“Nice! He like it?”
“Loved it, especially once V told him I used to play. I bought him a baseball and we found an old glove of mine Pops kept. We’re gonna toss the ball around when he gets home from school tomorrow.”
“I’m glad you’re having a great time man, I really am.”
“Thanks, me too,” Frankie smiled to himself. “How’re things there? You behaving?”
“Funny,” Santiago rolled his eyes. “Yes. I’ve been busy, had a date last night, and may have another one tonight.”
“Nice. You been over to Benny and Will’s?”
“No, haven’t been that way at all since you left. But I will tomorrow, Benny and I are headed over to Melissa’s.” Frankie gave a sarcastic grunt, prompting Santiago to fill in the gaps. “I texted him earlier today, by the way. We’re all good. Did you know he signed up for a fight?”
Frankie sighed, “Will told me. I wish Benny would have said something before he called Herb. That guy’s going to feed him to the damn wolves.”
“You think it’s going to be bad, huh?”
“Not if we can help it. The guy was a boxer, so not the most ideal match-up for Benny’s style, but we’ll figure it out. When I get back we have to make sure he’s sticking to his training. Hoping this compressed timeframe makes him focus.”
“Yeah, he doesn’t have a lot of time to prep, huh?”
“No, but if anyone could do it, it’s Ben. Oh shit, I gotta go. I have to read the kids their stories.”
“Tio Francisco to the rescue!” Santiago laughed. “Ok man, hey I’ll see you in a few days. Can you text me your flight stuff Thursday night? I’ll set an alarm for myself for Friday so I don’t forget.”
“Sounds good man.”
WEDNESDAY
Will shuffled into the kitchen, surprised Benny wasn’t already up making himself an egg white omelet and coffee. Another difficult night of sleep made Will extra groggy, so he grabbed one of the larger coffee mugs and brewed two K-cup pods in succession. This morning he had an early volunteer shift at the VA after switching shifts with someone the day prior. He wanted to have time to come home and get ready for whatever the evening may hold with Katie.
Although they were on a mission to buy birthday presents for Olivia’s twins, Will hoped they would have some time to hang out afterward too. He was enjoying getting to know Katie. She was funny, smart, and had a calming presence, which he didn’t realize how much he needed. It was nice to have someone other than the guys to talk to.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of heavy steps coming from down the hallway. Benny turned the corner, his red and black basketball shorts slung low on his hips. His silver pendant rested in the patch of hair on his chest, glimmering as the sunlight caught it. Will assumed Benny had a shitty night too based on the state of his brother’s hair, which was sticking up in various directions.
“Hey man,” Benny yawned as he walked towards the coffee maker.
“‘Sup Ben.”
“You’re up early.”
“Can say the same for you,” Will leaned against the kitchen island watching as his brother grabbed some coffee creamer from the refrigerator.
“Hmpf,” Benny scoffed.
“Shitty night?”
“Yea. You?”
“I’ve had better,” the corner of Will’s mouth slightly went up. “What’s the plan for today?”
“Welp, I’m gonna go to the gym here soon, or go for a run, I haven’t decided, maybe both. Pope’s coming over around lunch and we’re going to Melissa’s.”
“That will be interesting,” Will chucked.
“Yeah, no shit. Anyway, we’ll see how that goes. But I was thinking of having Connor over later. Gonna start to go over some film of this Omar guy. The kid found some of this guy’s fights on YouTube.”
“Oh really? Nice, that’s good.”
“Yeah, figured we could order some pizzas or something if you want in on that.”
“Oh ah,” Will rubbed the back of his neck. “I have plans tonight.”
Benny perked right up at the sound of this, the corners of his mouth going up slowly before he was full-on grinning. “Oooo, what plans do we have tonight?” He waggled his eyebrows.
“Nothing like that,” Will rolled his eyes. “We,” he pointed to Benny and then back to himself, “need to get a gift for the twins. Party’s on Saturday and I don’t want to scramble at the last minute. I mentioned it to Katie and she said she’d help me out.”
“Oh, I’m sure she’s going to help you out in more ways than ow-” Benny feigned an injury, even though all Will did was push him in the chest. “You can’t injure me, I need to be in fighting shape,” Benny could barely get that out without busting into a fit of laughter.
Will tried to keep a neutral face, but he cracked a smile. “Don’t be dramatic. And I’m not trying to put any pressure on it man, she’s nice. I’ve … I dunno, I’ve liked having a friend.”
“I’m your friend,” Benny offered, giving some puppy eyes coupled with a dramatic pout.
“You are Bean, but with her, it’s…different.”
“How different are we talking?” His eyes narrowed over his coffee cup as he took a sip.
“I’m,” Will sighed. “I’m trying to figure that out. There’s clearly something there, but I don’t know what that something is right now. I...I don’t want to mess shit up.”
“I get it, she’s special to you, I can see that,” Benny smiled. “She’s cool as shit and for what it’s worth she seems to really dig you too. She’s always all smiles when you’re around.”
Will got a distant look in his eyes, which Benny knew well. His brother was processing, trying to sort out his thoughts.
“Look, don’t try and figure it all out on your own,” he clapped his brother’s shoulder. “Have fun. Enjoy time with your …um…friend. See what happens…”
“Yeah, we’ll see.”

“Vic? Vic, where are you?” Marcus called out as finished buttoning up the cuffs of his dress shirt. He and his family were living in a short-term apartment the local FBI office set up as part of his relocation package. It was…cozy…to say the least and his wife, Victoria, was chomping at the bit to close on their dream home and finally move in.
He came around the corner to their kitchenette, where Victoria was busy cutting up some strawberries to top Nicolas’ stack of pancakes. The boy quietly sat at the coffee table in the living room doodling in a coloring book, while his little sister Mariella happily sat in her highchair smearing some yogurt around. Victoria looked up as she heard Marcus’ footsteps, her eyes softening at the sight of her husband.
“It’s not a big place, Marc, I can’t go far,” she laughed as Marcus came up behind her, kissing her neck. “Mmm, I like this suit. Que guapo,” she turned around in his arms, straightening his tie before resting her hands on his chest.
“You know you’re as beautiful now as when I first saw you?” He wrapped his arms around her waist, making her giggle as he kissed her.
“Ewwww no kissies!” Nicolas called over, prompting Marcus and Victoria to pull away from each other with a smirk.
“Hey! I just love your mom, Nico,” Marcus smiled over to his son. “Besides, I have some good news.” His eyebrows shot up and he was trying to suppress a big smile.
Victoria tilted her head to the side, observing her husband. He was usually chipper, especially in the mornings, but something seemed different. “Ok, shoot, what is it?”
“Ah, I thought you’d never ask!” He put his arms on her shoulders, squaring her up to look at him. “What if I were to tell you, we’d be able to cook breakfast in our own kitchen by next week?”
There was a pause as Victoria took in what Marcus said before glee danced across her face. “Oh my gosh, are you serious?” She squeaked, throwing her arms around his neck as he lifted her off the ground.
“Just got a text from Ethan. Everything went through, the sellers are going to virtually sign. We could close as early as Monday, but since you start work next week I wanted you to tell me what you want to do.”
“Shit…I mean shoot,” her eyes cut over to Nicolas, who was in his own little world coloring a dog with a green marker. “Well, let me talk to the school and see what we can do. Vanessa is moving down this weekend, so she can at least help with the kids. I can’t believe we’re so close!”
Marcus smiled back at her, the corners of his eyes crinkling. “Whenever you want to do it, he said he could make it happen.”
“Ooo, actually, I wonder if we can make Monday work! Tuesday is the 4th so I’ll be off and daycare is closed, we can start to move some stuff that day.”
“I think that’s a great idea, I’ll text Ethan later,” he kissed her forehead.
“Mariella!” Victoria turned around to see her baby, smearing yogurt around her high chair. Just as she was about to reach into her hair, Marcus intervened.
“Slow down there pumpkin,” he cooed. “You eat the yogurt, see,” he pantomimed eating the yogurt, which prompted a fit of giggles from Mariella.
The ring of his phone alarm snapped Marcus back to reality. “Ugh, shoot, I have to get going.” Victoria gave him an exaggerated pout, which turned into a smile as he kissed her. “Have a good day. I love you.”
“Te amo,” she kissed him back.

Today’s workout was a tough one for Benny evidenced by the way his shirt drenched with sweat clung to him. His muscles felt heavy, no doubt due to the quick ramp-up in activity thanks to his upcoming fight. He decided today called for some cardio and weight lifting.
As he walked through the front door, he figured he had just enough time for a quick shower and a power nap before Santiago showed up. It was times like this he was thankful his friend was always late to everything. He decided to take a quick detour to the couch, sprawling out to stretch his muscles a bit. As he scrolled through Instagram his eyes got heavier and heavier and eventually, he closed them for just a moment.
Pounding at his front door combined with his phone vibrating on the coffee table woke him with a bit of a startle. As if by instinct, he immediately shot up and took in his surroundings, on the defensive in case any threats were around. Realizing he was in his own home, and not in a jungle with a rifle in his hands, he blinked and slowed down his breathing. He heard his name being called and once he registered it was Santiago’s voice, he let out a breath and opened the door.
“Hey Pope,” he gave a half smile, ushering Santiago inside.
“You look like shit, you just wake up?”
“Fuck you….maybe.” He ran his fingers through his hair and his eyes narrowed. “The fuck is that?” He pointed at Santiago’s neck. “Someone give that to you or d’you get so desperate you used the vacuum cleaner, ow!”
Santiago smacked him upside the head with one hand while the other covered his neck. “First of all, fuck off. Second of all, yes someone gave it to me.”
Benny tilted his head. He couldn't help the accusatory look that swept across his face.
“I went on a date last night, nice girl I found on an app…and before you make a smartass comment, it was a real dating app.”
Benny threw his hands in surrender, “I didn't say anything. You planning on seeing her again?”
“I dunno we'll see.”
“Well…she certainly um…left her mark,” Benny was ready this time, blocking Santiago's arm and the two play fought for a second.

The day was dragging on painfully slow for Katie. The start of a new month meant lots of planning meetings where people droned on and on about goals while offering the most bullshit rah-rah speeches for motivation.
She'd been texting with Megan off and on all day about random things, their usual daily stream of consciousness coupled with funny memes and gifs.
Megan: So Wine Wednesday? 🍷
Katie: Can't. I have some errands to run tonight.
Megan: Oh what's on tap? An exciting run to Target?
Katie: Damn, actually yes. Am I that predictable? I'm going to get a gift for the twins.
Megan: Wait, I thought you already got them those Lego sets?
Damn, she doesn't miss anything.
Katie took a deep breath before composing the next text, knowing what the response was going to be.
Katie: I did, I'm helping Will.
She waited, no immediate quippy response. Instead, she saw the chat bubbles start and stop before she finally got a response.
Megan: Nice! What else do you have planned 👀😏
Katie: Not sure, I told him I'd help him wrap it. Figured we'd pick up dinner. Idk I haven't planned it too much.
Megan: Yes, please help him wrap it. 😆
Katie: What's that supposed to mean?
Megan: Make sure he wraps his 🍆
Katie: I'm sorry, did David steal your phone? Where is Megan and what have you done with her?

“So you have any idea what she may want us to do?” Benny readjusted his baseball cap, flipping it backward as he and Santiago walked over to Melissa's.
“Just vaguely, some stuff in the backyard, I don't know the specifics.”
“Hmpf.”
“What?” Santiago countered with a pointed tone.
“Just, you're not one to jump at the chance to get your hands dirty. It's one thing to help us because we force you, but it's something else for you to do it willingly.”
“I'm trying to be nice. Besides, who knows? Could be fun…I had a lot of fun fixing up your place. It was nice for us all to…I don't know, be together again. Working on something and seeing it come together.”
This admission made Benny stop in his tracks. “Damn, Pope…that's…really nice, man. It's nice to hear you say that,” his face softened, one of the corners of his mouth curling up as he reached for Santiago's shoulder.
Santiago gave a forced smile before clearing his throat, “ok, enough with the sappy shit. Let's go.”
Santiago rang the doorbell and the door flew open a few seconds later. Melissa was all smiles, although Benny noticed her head slightly cock to the side at one point when Santiago turned his neck and his hickey was visible.
It was a rather quick consultation. She had a blank canvas to work with in her backyard. Benny brought his notebook and quickly started to sketch a few ideas down which she loved. They went back and forth a bit, Benny drawing and erasing several times since she was a bit indecisive as to the placement of a few things. They finally landed on a couple of flower beds, some rockwork, and a few palm trees. Nothing too elaborate. They reasoned it would take a couple of weekends to do at most.
“Can I keep this Benny? I'll show Danny when he gets home this weekend and then we can start. Maybe next week?”
“Yeah, of course, wanna take a picture of it on your phone? May be easier to have a digital copy.”
“Oh yeah, sure.” She snapped a couple of photos of the pages in his notebook. “Well, thank you boys again. I'll uh…see you around.” And with that, she politely ushered them out, closing the door a bit forcefully.
Benny waited until they were well down the block before he broke the silence. “Damn, she's maaad at you.”
“Huh?”
“Dude, she barely looked at you. It's the most she and I have ever talked. Your little friend there seemed to rattle her,” he gestured towards Santiago's neck.
Santiago shook it off, “Nah. I think you're reading into it.” Wanting to change the subject, he quickly transitioned to asking what Benny and Will were up to this evening.
“Will's hanging with Katie and Connor is coming over to watch some fights with me. Wanna help?’
“Sure. Yeah, sounds good.”

When Will arrived back from his shift, Benny and Santiago were on the couch playing a video game. Well, Benny was playing, Santiago was cursing up a storm, annoyed that he couldn’t beat Benny. Will was a little surprised to see Santiago still there, but the two seemed to be having fun, despite Santiago’s frustration. Laughing to himself, Will went down the hall to his bedroom, deciding to check in on Frankie before he got ready.
Will: How's uncle life treating you?
Frankie sent a couple of photos. One of him and Antonio all smiles at a Rangers game wearing matching shirts and the other of him lying on the ground of Valeria’s living room with Leia crawling all over him with the biggest smile across his face.
Frankie: So fun. They're great, you'd love them.
Frankie: How's Ben?
Will: Eh, he's ok. He's been training and tonight he's going to watch some of the guy's fights
Frankie: Benny? Watching film? Holy shit, if Coach Montoya could see him now.
Will: No shit right?
Will: Well, hey, I don't want to keep you. I'm glad you're having fun. Give the kids a kiss and tell Vale and Lys I said hi.
Once he was showered and dressed, Will walked back into the living room, a soccer game now on the TV.
“Ok, ah…don't wait up for me,” Will smirked as he grabbed the keys off the hook and checked to make sure he had his wallet and phone.
“Oh don't worry we won't, you kids have fun tonight,” Santiago winked.
Will tried to quickly, but nonchalantly leave before his brother could make a smartass comment. Unfortunately for him, Benny was too quick and managed to make a joke about not being a fool and wrapping his tool. Will rolled his eyes and walked out the door, hand raised in the air giving his brother the finger as he closed the door.
Truth be told, it has been a while since Will had sex. He was confident in his abilities, thanks to years of practice, but Katie was different. She wasn’t some random hookup, she was someone he could see a relationship with – the problem was he wasn’t quite sure what type of relationship that would be. He pushed aside that thought and got in his Jeep for the quick drive down the block.
When he parked, Katie was already walking out the door, ready to hop in and go. She looked effortlessly beautiful, her hair up in a ponytail with a baseball cap on. Will recognized her leggings, it seemed she had a lot of the same style just in different colors. Practical, he reasoned. She paired them with an oversized Star Wars-themed T-shirt. It was from the newer stuff Will wasn't as familiar with.
“Hey, thanks for picking me up,” she said as she climbed into the Jeep, reaching over to give him a quick hug, which he reciprocated. She breathed in his scent, which smelled like Irish Spring soap.
“Course. You're the one helping me after all,” he pulled back slightly and smiled, his hand lingering on her back just a beat before he let go and returned to face forward to put the car in reverse. “You have a good day?” He turned around looking out the rear window, one hand on the back of her headrest as he reversed out of the driveway.
“Not bad, halfway through the week so that's exciting. How about you?”
“Good, easy. Had an early volunteer shift this morning.”
“Ooo how was CVS? Pick up anything exciting?”
He laughed. “No, Mr. Andrews switched it up today and wanted to go to Walgreens.”
Katie exaggeratedly gasped, “Whaaat? No way! Look at him coming out of his shell.” She smiled as they continued their small talk on the short drive over to Target.
As they walked up to the store Will slightly turned and pointed at her shirt, “I gotta ask, who's on your shirt.”
She stopped walking. “Wait. Are you serious? I thought you were a Star Wars fan.”
Will smirked. “I am, of the original stuff. I haven't really paid attention to anything recent.”
“You don't…you haven't watched The Mandalorian? Isn't Boba Fett your favorite?” She pointed to the tattoo on Will’s forearm.
“Mandalorian…that's the one with baby Yoda right?”
Katie dramatically clutched both hands to her chest. “His name…is Grogu.”
Will laughed as he grabbed a cart, leading the way to the toy section.
“The Mandalorian is seriously so cool, you'd love it,” she knocked her shoulder into his. “We should watch it!” She offered with a hopeful smile.
“Yeah ok, I'm willing to give it a shot since it comes so highly recommended. I trust you,” he smirked.
She gave him a quick smile and returned her gaze ahead, but he could still see her smiling out of the corner of his eye. When they reached the toy aisle, Katie went through a bunch of different options. Will was adamant about finding something different for each of the boys, figuring they each had their own distinct personalities and interests.
Katie knew one of the boys was really into card tricks, so Will picked out a magic set. The other was obsessed with Fortnite, something Will knew absolutely nothing about. Luckily, Katie's best friend at work had a son about the same age who was equally as obsessed with it, so she knew enough to navigate the selection. She also texted Olivia to make sure the boys didn’t already have what they picked out. Will was thankful for her due diligence since they were able to make a quick swap. Apparently, David and Ty had already bought one of the items Will picked out.
The pair was efficient, a little too efficient. Will didn’t want their trip to end. He was having fun just walking up the aisles, so he suggested a loop through the store. It was surprising to him to see all the random stuff that ended up finding its way into the cart. He reasoned it had something to do with the fluorescent lights or some subliminal messaging in the soft rock playing through the store’s speakers. It gave him flashbacks to his fiance who could not be trusted inside a Target by herself for fear she'd buy the whole damn store.
It was amusing to see how excited Katie got over the most mundane things. She smelled nearly every new scent of hand soaps and she went absolutely giddy over these fabric bird figurines donned in various themed outfits. But what Will enjoyed most was seeing her smile. Based on the limited knowledge he had about her recent past, it sounded like she hadn’t had much to smile about.
When they reached the checkout, Katie emptied the cart putting all of her stuff down followed by the birthday gifts. She slid a divider between the two sets of items.
“What’re doing?” He furrowed his brows, reaching for the divider and putting it back.
“It's so the cashier knows whose stuff is whose silly. You really don't do a lot of shopping huh?”
Will rolled his eyes, “I know what that thing means, but no I'm taking care of it.” He started to reach for his wallet.
“What? No I…”
“I insist,” he cut her off. “This…has been a lot of fun and you saved my ass by texting Liv. Please? I want to.”
She sighed, resigned to the fact that she wasn't going to convince him. “Fine. Under two conditions.”
“Shoot,” he smirked, leaning forward onto the cart’s handles. He was amused at how quickly she folded.
“One. I get dinner. You keep that in your pants,” she motioned towards the wallet in his pocket. There were a couple of teenagers in line behind them who started giggling since all they could see was Katie pointing to Will’s pants. “Fuck,” she brought her palm to her forehead. “You know what I mean.”
“I do,” he laughed, putting his hands in his pockets. “Ok, go on, what's the second condition.”
“I get to name him Will,” she picked up one of the fabric bird figurines and held it to Will. The bird was decked out in the stars and stripes, fitting for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.
He rolled his eyes and chuckled, “Sure, Kat.”

“Is pepperoni ok?” Benny looked between Santiago and Connor to confirm before placing his delivery order.
“Yeah that works for me,” Santiago nodded.
“Thanks, Benny,” Connor chimed in.
“‘Course. Thanks for helping me scout the competition,” he winked.
After placing the order Benny went to the kitchen to grab a few cans of soda. He placed the assortment on the coffee table and Santiago quickly grabbed coasters for them all, knowing how annoyed Will would be by rings on his coffee table. Benny was about to sit down when he realized he had forgotten something and ran back to his room. He emerged a few moments later with his trusty notebook in his hand and a pencil.
“Ok, I'm ready now!” He plopped down on the couch.
“You're taking notes?” Santiago looked over a bit confused.
“Yeah…you used to take notes when we'd get briefed on missions, what's so different?” Benny countered.
“You're right Benny, sorry. So…where's this guy from?”
“Well, I looked him up and he's from Queens.” Connor offered as he queued up the first video.
At the mention, Santiago perked up, “The guy's from New York?” Connor nodded, looking at Benny confused. “What's his name again?”
“Uh, Omar Assarian.”
Benny side-eyed Santiago, “What, you know this guy?”
“No, I don't, but I may know people who do. I mean, I did grow up in New York so, I dunno let me see.” Santiago started typing away at his phone as Benny nodded to Connor to start the video.
They intently watched the fight and then another and then another. Benny would ask Connor to pause the video every now and again so he could take some notes. He keyed Connor into some of Omar's strengths and weaknesses along the way, noting that the man had great footwork, which made sense given his boxing background.
“You think you can beat him Benny?” Santiago cut in.
“I think so. As long as I can get him to the ground and off his feet. Not really looking to get punched in the face by a boxer if I can help it.”
“I guess I never asked, do you have like a specialty or something?” Connor asked, taking a bite of his pizza.
“I'm good at a lot of things,” Benny laughed to himself. “Uh, I started off as a wrestler, it was one of the sports I did in high school. So I'm good at submissions I guess, and grappling. I also learned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which helps with the submissions. MMA to me is like…a game of chess. I know you see all of these kicks and punches and shit, and I can do that too, but there's something about finding that…weakness in an opponent and just exploiting it. That’s what I like the most.”
________________
“There, all set,” Katie smiled as she finished curling the ribbon of the last gift she wrapped. She looked over to Will, who was sitting cross-legged next to her on the floor of her craft room.
His eyes softened when they met hers, the corners of his mouth perking up. “Perfect. Thank you, I uh…couldn't have done it without you.” She looked down and brushed his compliment aside, starting to pick up the scraps of wrapping paper and ribbon. “Besides, if I'd gone with Ben, we'd probably still be in the toy section,” he laughed. “We would have come home with a bunch of shit. I didn't realize there were so many different kinds of Nerf guns. Lil Bean would have lost his damn mind if he had that many options as a kid.” He chuckled, relieved to see her laughing.
“Wait…Lil Bean?” She furrowed her eyebrows, clearly wanting Will to fill her in on the apparent nickname.
“Ha, yea that's what we called him growing up. Joel really is the only one who still calls him that consistently, I guess because he's the one who came up with it,” he chuckled, clearly reminiscing on some fond memories. “Benny has always been tall and lanky, like a string bean.”
“Aww…poor Benny!” She stuck out her bottom lip.
“Ha it's ok, he ended up kinda liking the name. I think if I came up with it, it wouldn't have gone over so well.” He got up offering her his hand to stand up. “But since it was Joel’s idea he ended up coming around.”
“So, you're close with your cousins then?” She asked, her hand lingering in his just a beat longer than she intended before dropping it to quickly gather up the presents.
“Uh yeah, Joel and Tommy are basically our brothers too. And then once Frankie moved down the street we were a starting five,” he laughed, following her out of the room and back to the living room.
“Where does Santiago fall in?”
“Pope? Oh, I met him during basic training. He was my battle buddy,” she gave him a confused look, “we couldn't go anywhere on base alone, we had to travel in pairs. The two of us got assigned to each other and I guess I've been stuck with him since,” he laughed.
Katie observed Will’s demeanor. He was so much more relaxed and at ease when he talked about the guys. His bright blue eyes seemed to shimmer. It was clear to her that he cherished those he held close.
“Aw that's cute, you two make a nice pair,” she winked, sitting down on the couch. She turned on the TV and started to click buttons on the remote.
“Oh please don't tell him that,” Will groaned.
“It's so sweet that you guys have each other.” She looked over and smiled.
Will noticed her smile didn't quite reach her eyes, it was a bit guarded, a brief wave of sadness washing over her before she pushed it away. He recognized the behavior since it was something he did too. He didn’t say anything right away, letting her navigate the menu on her screen, queuing up the show.
He cleared his throat, “You have people too, right? Megan? The rest of the neighbors?”
She looked over at him with a tight smile, “Yeah. Yeah, they’ve been great. Honestly, if I didn’t have Megan…” she trailed off, shaking her head and taking a deep breath before she looked over at him. She was met with a warmth in his eyes, something she’d grown to seek. It made her feel seen. “And at work, I have Miranda. She was my first real friend when I moved down here, you’d like her she’s awesome.”
He tentatively reached his hand to her thigh, keeping an eye on her reaction, before giving her a reassuring squeeze. “Well, you have me too…ahem, and the guys. You need anything, we’re here, y’know that right?”
She put her hand on top of his, returning the squeeze. “Yeah. Thanks, Will. I appreciate that, hasn’t always been the case.”
“Look, ah, I…if you don’t want to talk about it that’s cool, but I’m here if you do.” He rubbed the back of his neck, hoping she picked up on the subject he was referring to.
“Thanks. I won’t bore you with the story, it’s not really that exciting,” she said with a tight smile.
“It’s your…reality. I don’t find that boring.”
She turned towards him, one knee tucked up on the couch. She took a deep breath. “Things started off well. Seb was charming and swept me off my feet,” she started to fidget looking down at her hands. “But as time went on, I felt like my interests mattered less and less. It was small comments here or there, but it eventually became more frequent…like, I don’t know…like I was annoying him with the things I got excited about…So eventually I just either stopped doing those things or I’d do them in secret.”
“You sound a lot like Benny,” he gave a small smile once her eyes met his. “His ex was like that. It was like living with our dad again. She really wore him down.”
“Can I ask how?”
Will cleared his throat, turning to face Katie, their knees touching as he rested his arm on the back of the couch. “Benny’s a good man. He’s a talented kid in so many ways. Good at everything, it’s actually kind of annoying sometimes,” he chuckled. “He just…finds something and suddenly he’s great at it. Happened with baseball…wrestling…the army. He was one of the most elite snipers in the whole force. He could do all of these crazy calculations in his head in seconds and was super accurate. It’s one of the reasons his call sign was Ace.”
“Wow, I didn’t realize all of that.”
“Yeah, he doesn’t like to talk about it. Don’t ever call him Ace,” he cautioned before continuing. “We’ve ah…we’ve had to do some pretty bad stuff, stuff we aren’t always the most proud of. It’s weighed on him over the years, on all of us really…” Will trailed off, realizing he had already said more than he should have. The guys all tried to be as vague as they could when it came to their military service.
“Hey, you don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to but if you do I’m here,” Katie squeezed his hand.
“Thanks, Kat,” he smiled, before continuing. “For as talented as he is athletically, he’s just as talented with creative stuff. Hell, he may be even more talented when it comes to that. In his heart, he’s an artist. He draws, sings, plays guitar. He had this dream when we were younger of being a comic book artist. He’d draw these little cartoons for me, all of these elaborate stories that somehow were all connected, I don’t know how he did it,” Will laughed. “But one day our dad found his notebook and lost his shit.”
Katie tilted her head, her forehead creasing, “why?”
Will took a deep breath, “Oh, it’s complicated. But I think at the core, our dad had this vision for Ben. Pro scouts were coming to watch him play baseball before he got to high school. Basically, our dad saw anything that wasn’t revolved around sports as a waste of time. Our dad is, uh, competitive. And he took a lot of pride in the fact that his boy was a prodigy.”
“How’d that make you feel?”
“Me?” Will was caught off guard. He’d never had anyone ask him that before. “Um, I guess…I think I felt a lot of things. A little jealous, I guess. I had to work my ass off to be halfway decent at anything and Ben didn’t even have to try it seemed. But I also wanted to protect him. I saw how excited he got when it came to stuff like drawing and music, it made him happy. Like really happy. Our mom supported him as much as she could. They had a little hiding spot where she’d stash some notebooks and colored pencils and stuff for him. But my dad found it one day and threw it all in the trash. Shit, he all but set it on fire before I stepped in. Stuff at home got kinda bad after that which is why I left the second I could. I always felt a little guilty I guess, leaving Benny there by himself.”
“Is that why he enlisted? To get out of a bad situation too?”
“I think it was kind of a fuck you to our dad. He turned down a full-ride scholarship to play baseball at Texas and a contract to play in the minors. Our dad didn’t talk to him for months. Benny would call home, and if Dad answered he’d immediately give the phone to Mom. But, eventually, Benny did what Benny does and he excelled. Once he got handpicked for Delta Force, our dad started to change his tune.”
“Damn.”
“Yeah…took years for their relationship to get to a halfway decent place. I think that’s why Benny has always had a soft spot for Joel. In many ways, Joel was more like a dad to him than ours was.”
“How about you and your dad?”
“Eh, it’s…complicated. The way he treated us…our mom, it’s…not how I’d do things, I’ll say that much.”
“Well, you are your own person,” she offered her hand again to him, rubbing circles on the back of his hand. “I can see how much you love your brother and your friends. They’re lucky to have you. You’re a good man too, Will.”
Will sat quietly for a moment, his eyes sought Katie’s. He felt a warmth cascade over him. Even though he was sharing a lot about Benny, his own past was wrapped up in so much of it. Opening up like this took months with his VA therapist, but Katie listened without judgment, and with genuine curiosity.
“Sorry, I kind of unloaded all of that,” he chuckled. “I guess it’s not really something I think about a lot.”
“I hear you on that,” her eyebrows shot up, a sarcastic grin on her face.
“So what were the things you kept from your ex?”
Katie was a bit caught off guard that Will turned the conversation back to her, she hoped that he’d get distracted by his own story and forget. She should have known better, Will was too considerate of a guy to dominate a conversation.
“Oh ah...I guess a lot of the little projects I came up with. I’ve always really loved interior design. That’s what I thought I wanted to go into when I was younger. I wanted to design houses that would end up in magazines, y’know?”
“What changed your mind?”
“I have the misfortune of being good at math,” her sarcastic tone made Will laugh. “When it came time to look at colleges, my parents really wanted me to pursue a business degree. I think my dad got a kick out of me potentially following in his footsteps. I know they didn’t mean it, but they kind of always made my design stuff seem like my little side hobby rather than something I could really do. Hell, I helped my mom redesign parts of our house when I was in high school.”
“What happened when you got to college?”
“I kept collecting photos and notes of design ideas. My college dorm room looked so nice, I had people coming to me to help them with theirs. I had like an unofficial side business,” she laughed. “Then when I graduated and I was off on my own I finally had a place to make how I wanted. And then I met Seb…” she trailed off, clearing her throat. “I eventually moved into his place. He was…particular about his space so I didn’t really feel like it was mine. I felt like a visitor. Which is why I was so excited when we finally started looking at houses. He told me I could do whatever I wanted.”
“So did you?”
“Ah, yes and no. I wanted him to feel comfortable in the space, so I’d ask questions here and there to gauge what he liked and didn’t like. He’d make…I don’t know, little comments about how something looked stupid or was a waste of time. He also wasn’t handy at all so I had to do it all myself. I guess I eventually stopped caring.” She looked down, fidgeting again with her hands.
“But you have this place, right?” He gave her a small smile, motioning to the space around them. “You can make this into whatever you want.”
“Yeah. It’s an overwhelming thought, but … I don’t know, exciting too.” She looked around.
“Hey, how about instead of watching this,” he motioned to the television, which had moved to a screensaver due to the lack of activity, “we talk about your ideas for the kitchen? We can come up with a plan for the projects you have in mind.”
A big smile came across Katie’s face, excited that Will was genuinely interested in hearing what grand plans she had for the space and that he was willing to help.
Next Time on As the Mule Falls: We pick up where we left off with Will and Katie. Frankie returns home to Tampa (for real this time, I need to get him back to Florida for…reasons). The Neighborhood Watch descends upon the local skating rink for a party that’s sure to be the best in the galaxy.
A/N: Hello! Apologies for the delay in getting this chapter out! How do we feel about Katie and Will? Melissa was a bit salty about Santiago – do you think they’ll talk about it or avoid each other?
Thank you so much for reading and supporting this story. Some of these storylines are starting to come together and I’m excited about where we’re going!

In honor of Star Wars Day, I thought I'd share the opening lines from a long abandoned project that I still secretly hope to finish some day.
There’s a pit of dread in Jack’s stomach. A familiar knot coiling as he watches the kid’s curiosity get the better of him and Jack can’t help but sigh. He’s not being reckless, that’s disingenuous. The kid is good. And he’s grown up quite a bit since he was a nineteen year old in the desert, mouthing off and looking for a fight.
Fighting a war, watching a mentor die by enemy hands, losing a father makes you grow up quick. He’s come into his own as a tactician and leader. Still, despite his accomplishments and accolades, he needs someone watching his back when he forgets to do it.
“I’ll see you shortly. There’s a meteor that hit the ground near here, I want to check it out,” the kid says through comms.
Jack shifts, the coil of anxiety growing. Shouldn’t let him go scampering off alone. He scans the inhospitable terrain. There’s something out there that they can't see. Something hunting them. Waiting to strike.
“Watch it, kid,” Jack mumbles, eyes narrowing as though he can stop what’s about to happen, though he knows it’s part of the catalyst kicking off the rest of the plot.
Mac’s lips twitch into a small grin at the words that escape Jack’s lips.
Jack rolls his eyes, but lets Mac’s have his mirth before turning his focus back to the screen in front of him. Waiting. Watching. Jack's eagle eyes never catch sight of it until it’s on top of the kid. With a roar that still gives Jack chills, the massive paw swipes down, claws extended, striking the kid.
The vicious beast towers over unconscious Luke Skywalker, collapsed in the snow, face bloodied.
And Han Solo, watcher of Luke’s back, has no idea of the danger his friend is in, and heads back to the safety of the Echo base on the ice planet Hoth.
Jack’s jaw clenches as he watches the screen.
Mac chucks a piece of popcorn at him, still chuckling at Jack’s dramatic reaction to the attack. “How many times have you seen this movie?”
“Couple dozen at least,” Jack shrugs.
“That seems generously low. But you still jump every time the Wampa attacks.”
“Think I saw it eight times when it was in theaters.”
“Weren’t you like five when it came out?”
“It made an impression.”
“Not that much of an impression because you jump at this part every time.”
“It’s not a jump. It’s more of a... flinch.”
Mac raises an eyebrow. “I don’t think that’s any better.”
“Nah, a jump is a jump and a flinch is a flinch and there’s some overlap but there’s a nuanced difference here.”
Mac’s eyebrows creep higher.
“It’s not a startled flinch, everybody knows the Wampa is there, even if they search frame by frame and can’t find him-"
"Which you've done."
"-camouflaged in the snow waiting to attack. It’s a… concerned flinch. An oh-no-Luke-is-hurt-flinch. What’s gonna happen to him now? All alone without his team.”
“But you know what happens.”
“Han and Leia don’t. Chewie and the droids don’t. No one even knows Luke is missing yet. No one knows he’s in danger.”
"Han finds him." Mac hums picking up another handful of popcorn, studying the kernels.
"Of course he does. Ain't no world where Han doesn't come back for Luke. I mean, except when he's frozen in carbonite but then Luke comes for him."
Mac hums picking up another handful of popcorn, studying the kernels.
“You-” Jack swallows. “You want to talk about it?”
“The movie?”
“The movie. Penny’s Halloween party. Your impromptu trip to Texas.” Jack looks at Mac out of the corner of his eye.
“I think we’ve probably discussed everything Star Wars already, unless you want to lose the Ewok debate again.”
“First of all, I did not lose that debate-”
“Yeah, I think you did-” Jack scowls. “And second, let’s save it for when we get to Jedi so I can pause it to have visuals for my arguments.”

if i could dance with you again - Poe Dameron x GN!Reader
WORD COUNT: 1905
WARNINGS:
no use of y/n, allusions to sm*t but not actual sm*t, kissing, pretty angsty, a copious amount of taylor swift lyrics, first time writing a fic so hopefully i’ll get better lolol
thank you for reading! <3 <3 <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i, i loved you in secret
Any fool on base would be able to tell you about the reputation of Poe Dameron. How he was known as a ‘womaniser’, and a ‘manwhore’.
But that wasn’t your Poe.
Your Poe was the one who held back your hair when you needed to chuck up after drinking way too much spotchka. Your Poe was the one who stayed up all night in the comms centre when your missions went slightly off plan. Your Poe was someone who cared more than anybody else.
Your Poe, above all else, was the man you loved. You admired him so greatly. His skill as a pilot, his way with people, his respect for the general… He was perfect.
Yet nobody could know. He made that abundantly clear to you immediately after you got together. It would cost him his position as commander to be in a relationship with his Lieutenant Commander without asking or telling the general first. You had to ‘work together, not sleep together’ (Leia’s exact words).
you said there was nothing in the world that could stop it, i had a bad feeling
Your first argument happened when he had returned from a mission and you ran into his arms on the hangar. He hugged you back, sure. But not a loving, warm, Poe hug. It was just friendly.
“Are you embarrassed to be with me? Is that it? Is that why this has to be-“ you cried.
Poe cut you off halfway through your sentence, “No, no baby. That isn’t the case. Please don’t say that, and don’t think it for a single second. There is nothing in the galaxy that could make me feel that way about you.”
He pulled you in, only now this hug was in the privacy of his quarters. He kissed you and laid you down on his bed, seemingly to prove this to you.
people started talking, putting us through our paces
That dreaded day in the mess hall was one you would never be able to forget. People’s stares lingered much too long on you as you ate. Whispers of your name hissed in your ear viciously tearing you apart.
And then you saw him. You straightened your posture and smiled at him, thinking he would come over like he always did, the rest of your squadron - Black Squadron - walking or traipsing along behind him. But he just nodded, a nod so brief that you couldn’t tell if you had actually witnessed anything, and sat on a separate table.
Your wrinkled your brows and curled you lip in confusion, before picking up your food tray and walking over to your squadron. Before you could sit, Poe was saying your name quietly behind you.
“Wh- How’d you get there?” You chuckled, trying to hide the nerve in your voice.
It didn’t work.
Poe pulled you outside of the mess hall inconspicuously.
“People know. About us.”
Your heart dropped. You felt ill. Not at the fact your relationship had been discovered, but at Poe’s audible and visible upset at this.
“Oh. Oh, okay, I- uhm, well do-“
He cut you off.
“This was not supposed to happen. If the general finds out we are both screwed. I’m sorry. I can’t risk it. This job, this work- this is my everything. My family legacy. My entire reputation, I- I can’t. We can’t keep doing this. We have to end it.”
if i could dance with you again…
It had been over two years since the relationship with Poe ended. Your reputation had only grown up, up, up recently. You were still Lieutenant Commander, but your interactions with Poe were scarce. You avoided him unless absolutely necessary, and you must have only spoken to him once every couple months. These interactions only ever took place in meetings with the other higher ranking members of the resistance, with the exception of talking in squadron conversations over comms.
Life was good.
It could’ve been better, sure, but you knew that a breakup with a man like Poe could have done you much worse.
You weren’t over, over him. But you didn’t feel the heartache killing you slowly anymore.
So yeah, sure, it could’ve been better. But everyone says that about their life when fighting a war.
if i could dance with you again, i’d kiss you as the lights went out, swaying as the room burned down, i’d hold you as the water rushes in…
You heard a knock on the door to your quarters. It startled you slightly, but you got up to open it anyway. You were wearing green fatigues and a black thermal top; it was downtime on base and you felt no need to wear uniform.
You pressed the button on the side to open the door, and as the two halves opened up, you seemed to freeze in time.
Poe stood on the other side of the door, the light from your room casting a light on his face which created shadows that highlighted his best features. Your bottom lip involuntarily pushed forward, your brows dropping in unison.
“Commander Dameron?” you said, clearing your throat and resetting your face to look nonchalantly back at him. “Can I… do you need something?”
“Are you free?” he spoke. You hadn’t heard that pleading, soft tone for what felt like eons.
“Uhm, I- uh, well I- now?” you stuttered.
“Yeah- actually, don’t worry. Sorry for bothering you. Have a nice evening, Lieutenant Commander.”
“Wait! No, stop!” you called after him as he walked down the corridor, heading back to his room. “I, yes, I am free. Sorry, Commander. Just- just give me a second to grab my jacket.”
You grabbed the blue jacket that you’d been wearing for years; it was comfortable, what’s a girl gonna do?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He lead you to the top of a hill on the D’Qar base. The sun was just setting over the trees, and you couldn’t help but stare at the picturesque scene.
“You coming or what, Lieutenant?” Poe laughed. You shot daggers with your eyes when you looked back at him. You caught him up, and eventually sat down with him at the top of the hill.
“So?”
“So what?” Poe said, genuinely confused. Classic Poe.
“Why am I here?” you asked.
“Do you ever think about it anymore?”
You paused. Frozen in time, like you had been outside the mess hall a couple years ago.
“I, uh, well…” you began. You just couldn’t quite find the words; you’d practiced this exact interaction so many times in your mirror, yet you couldn’t get past the first bit yet…
“Take your time, it’s okay.” Poe reassured you with a soft, gentle smile. Maker, you’d missed that smile when it was meant just for you…
“Okay. Well, yeah, I do. But it wouldn’t have… I don’t think we were meant to be together at that time. I mean, we had only just become joint in command. It was tough. You cared about your rank so much Poe.” you could feel your throat tightening. The way it did when you were about to start crying. You took a breath, and started again. “I understand that it was important, but I… I loved you Poe. I was so naïve. I’m an ace pilot. I’m smart, I’ve always been smart. People liked me. But I was willing to be undermined and hidden away by you. Because I was… I was foolish. I thought that’s what love was. And when you left me, not to sound evil, but it was so kriffing careless. You just… you didn’t even want to try to make it work. You told me nothing in the galaxy would stop it… I…” a tear fell down you cheek, and you turned to finally face him.
“Loved me?”
“Well, yeah. I guess we were kind of… I don’t know how to say it and make you understand, but we were dancing with our hands tied, Poe.” you finally said his name to his face for the first time since your split. “I thought we were in it together. I felt so strongly about you and you… you just…” you were fully crying now. You suddenly became painfully self aware, and wiped your tears with your sleeve, taking a deep breath.
When you looked back at him, he looked so… stressed. The face he pulls when something goes wrong on a mission. He mouths your name, unable to speak it through the strain of his voice - he’s on the verge of tears like you were.
“I had no idea that you even… that you cared anymore. You walk around like nothing happened, you avoid me so well, you steered conversations away from us… I thought you were over me.”
You lifted your head.
“Don’t you ever still feel any love for what we were?” he asks, his voice cracking in the middle like the way your heart broke that day.
“Of course I do. But you don’t, and i had to make myself aware of that. That was the most painful part of this all, Poe.”
He was crying now.
You stood up to walk back to base, secretly praying it wasn’t over yet. He called your name and you turned to see him.
“Wait! Just… wait! Please.”
“I’m always waiting.” you said cockily, acting like your heart wasn’t thumping in your chest.
He walked over to you and took your hand in his, cupping you face with his other calloused hand.
You leant in to kiss him, and he complied. His lips and stubble still felt the same against your skin, gently dancing with your soft lips as the kiss deepened. He broke the kiss after a while, and pulled back. His glossy eyes caught the last light of the sunset.
“I still love you.” Poe whispered.
“Poe…”
“No. Please… Please.” his voice shook woth sadness as he pleaded you. “Just… just don’t say it yet.”
“No, Poe. I still love you too. I love you in the way that when I’m flying and I’m in an emergency speaking to comms, I tell them to give you my love. I love you in the way that I keep everything you ever gave me. I love you in the way that drives me crazy and immobilises me. I love you in the way that you’re my last dream before I wake up, and when I go to stretch my arm over your chest and you aren’t there, I weep. But I have spent the last two years of my life, Poe Dameron, getting over you. Getting back under you won’t help.”
Poe’s tears began dropping onto his shirt. Finally, he replied, “So what can I do to prove myself to you?”
He spoke in a whisper. He needed humbling after breaking your heart like such a fool.
“First of all, you can speak to me like you always did. Second, you’re not using sex to apologise, like I’ve heard you have from other women. Third of all? You can just love me. Let me shine. Respect me. Respect my craft. Respect me in the way you respect the rest of black squadron. I’m black-two, Poe. Start realising it. Fourth, and finally, we’re telling Leia. Immediately. We’ll tell her this. And then we can be together. How does that sound, Dameron?”
“You ready to dance with me again?” he said with a smirk.

The Last Echoes | Obi-Wan Kenobi x Fem!Reader
Part 1 of ? » next part
warnings: none, obi-wan's pov, angst, not y/n (i used she/her instead) villain!reader (sometimes, she's not a sith, more like the gray revengeful character that we all grew to love), mentions of order 66 and death a.k.a. reader (and i supposedly didn’t find any warnings lol). this takes part in the series (idk if it counts as spoilers), but i’ll give little context in flashbacks. w/c: 3.3k.
Summary: On his way to rescue little princess Leia Organa, Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers not only he is one of the last Jedi who survived from the Old Republic as he tried to survive the Inquisitors, but the only lover left alive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I'd rather not to fight", her hair strings glowed, framing her face, sweet yet intimidating. Her lightsaber off, letting her arm rest tiredly in the side of her body, allowing herself to relax for once after hours of chasing.
Obi-Wan couldn't believe he found beauty in the gold of her eyes and peace in her intoxicating voice. He almost felt himself dreaming when hearing those words, like he was imagining it all. He pursued the ideal of a peaceful morning with the war being over, welcoming a bright future of service and duty.
Unlike her, who seemed to be drawn to self-destruction and making trouble where she went along with the separatists, now through it all, she could see the differences between them easily. But not today. Today they were the same at the sight of the sunrise, they could feel each other as they really were, no masks.
She paced slowly to be in front of him, to look directly through him, and see herself in the immensity of his blue eyes, to never forget what being gazed upon tenderness was about, and seek that part of herself that wanted peace of mind. He suddenly felt himself panting again though the fight had already been over not so long ago. It was a first time of surprises, a discovery of feelings more than words.
"A Sith who doesn’t want to fight?” He inquired out of curiosity, she disconnected her eyes from him to see the sky.
Now he wished he hadn’t said anything, but found himself incapable of withdrawing his stare.
“I’m not a Sith”, she chuckled, trailing his bold decision of words while taking notice of his lips than his eyes again.
The Sith rule says that if there is an apprentice, there will always be a master, but they were both apprentices who lost their masters, alone in the wild colliding constantly one another, caught in the webs of the Force like loose strings, waiting to be entangled by the other.
★★★
The sheer glow of the capsules were barely seen by his light blue eyes. He had definitely entered the wrong room, or at least that's what he wanted to believe, a room he wished he never in his life had to see. From the cold grayish green in the walls, the dirty floors in the corridor, some boxes all around, the more time he got in there, the more his heart was pounding in anxiety. After years of thinking the Jedi were only mercilessly chased and killed by the Empire had an actually more twisted outcome.
It didn’t matter how strong minded he tried to be, peace was long gone. His palms were cold and sweaty, his walking steady and cautious, his face stern as he witnessed the worst in the long way of Jedi fossils, kept hidden as war treasures, like their existence was a mere trophy for whomever had them there.
Tala's voice was a blurry whisper in the back of his mind while searching for the serene singing echo of his lover, a song the former Jedi heard at last, like a calling melody from the Force; a bond he hadn't felt in ten years. He saw their faces in the corridor, some recognizable, some unknown, and as slowly he began to think relief was getting near, that there was no way to be found, all of his hopeful thoughts escaped his mind.
Because, there she was.
He faltered on his way to meet what was left of her, his legs moved by his own, his memoirs full of her, reminding him of what her lovely face used to look like when she was alive. Obi-Wan Kenobi didn’t know about being a lover opposed to the custom beliefs of his negotiation skills, but he knew about Compassion, and learned to love his friends and some of his enemies by equal, and that included her.
She was not his biggest rivalry, or the most revengeful, yet it pleased him to always have someone around to fight with, someone he could constantly think of outside the Council even if he had to use the "I'm planning my next move" as an excuse when he knew well that wasn't true, he could love her freely only behind closed doors in his more private thoughts and show it to her whenever he let go of her after enduring a tough fight, as he always awaited the moment of an encounter to see her again.
When the Clone Wars ended even that was gone.
He felt no guilt in falling for her, never, but he felt regretful day-dreaming with a life he couldn't have, that he couldn't give. He tried to be faithful to the Code in every aspect, and he mastered his duty, still behind his reputation and recognition, he was just a man. On the other hand, he felt the weight of not being there for her when she needed him; the Jedi Order asked high sacrifices and giving up on love to deny attachments was one of them.
Obi-Wan could imagine with immeasurable pain her cries for help, calling him in hopes of his arrival to save her from the gaits of abyss. Though that never happened.
Or maybe she fought with all her might like she knew so well, trying to stay alive a little longer, to hold on to dear life so they could fight one last time, or not fight at all, just see each other again as much as Obi-Wan awaited. With teary eyes, he looked at the unclean and tarnished glass, the reflection of his face mixed with hers, her figure black and blue, wilt and unmoving, hardly a faint reminiscence of her past self and the long gone tales about her.
He still remembered when he heard stories about her afterwards their first duel.
"Did anything bad happen at the meeting? I thought everything went exactly as expected, Master" Ahsoka asked Anakin, worried by the state of Master Kenobi.
Usually Dex's dining was a place they could go and relax after long missions like the one already passed, yet Obi-Wan sat zoned out with a frown in his face as he lightly touched his beard looking as stressed as ever; figuring out how he could almost lose after this new human-looking woman. Not able to forget her infuriated eyes, her graceful battle movements and the venomous red of her lightsaber. He could think she was atrocious; but that wasn't in his mind.
He was puzzled indeed, on her heavy pull in the Force and his own overthinking.
"Don't worry, everything went just fine. He fought with someone we've never seen and she escaped, I must say I thought she was going to win." Anakin held a grin.
Ahsoka formed an understanding look, in contrast to the General's dazzled expression.
"You know about her, Anakin?" Obi-Wan was intrigued and uneasy, desperate to understand what he had got into.
"She's a former Jedi, born in one of the moons of Iego, if she's good or evil I can't say." The young Skywalker lifted his brow mischievously, curious in the attention drawn from his Master.
"Didn't she attack General Kenobi? She must be a Sith'' concluded Ahsoka, suspicious of the woman's mysterious nature.
"I'm not sure, she helped me with some droids before attacking Obi-Wan," Anakin remembered their brief encounter, "an enemy wouldn't do that, she might be some kind of retired avenger?"
"Your Padawan is right, Anakin. Her techniques reside on the Dark Side." From the way she was holding her saber, her destructive energy and her eyes, an almost imperceptible yellow glow which couldn’t be appreciated properly by far. “Revenge is not the Jedi way”. HIs blue eyes locked with his apprentice's brown ones, reminding him what the titles must be.
"But she's not with the Separatists," Anakin replied, "I've informed the Chancellor and he assured he had never heard of her before. They’re looking out for her, whatever side she is on, she is wanted now".
"We must be careful then, these are difficult times. We mustn't fall into temptation". His tone was calm and seemed authoritative, but on the inside, worry flowed unsteady like the waters of Naboo.
Who knew the great Jedi Master Kenobi would hold such deep emotions towards a woman, that he displayed two faces to the Order he dedicated his life to. Like a hypocrite, he did not follow his own advice, and was slowly tempted by her.
Back in the present time; would it make any difference apologizing about slander behind her back to her now corpse? Undo her death? Or, lastly, make amends for all the lost time?
At first it was disdain and despite. How could she dare to try to go against the Jedi Order after being taught the ways of the Force? Such hatred could only be held by the Dark Side, shattered souls were the only ones who sought revenge, and she was one of those, representing everything he was against. However, after some encounters outside battle, it transformed into interest and appreciation…
He remembered vividly the times he saw her wandering the lowest levels of Coruscant, not with superiority or spreading hate contrary to the customs of the Sith lords, Obi-Wan felt the unextinguished light within her when she helped the people living there who didn't fear her. Unnaturally, he didn't feel disgusted; he had given himself reassurance believing she wholeheartedly wanted to do good still after all the pain she might have caused, he hoped for a small amount of salvation from her wrong doings. Maybe it wasn't too late for her.
She was a carefree spirit, so different to everything he was taught, she had no duties, no compromises, no promises to make, not rules to follow rigorously or set an example to other younglings. Free of do's and don'ts, unlike him who bear liability tattooed on his skin.
The false Freedom that was offered to her from the Dark Side seemed to quickly corrupt —if not completely, then at least,— the better parts of her being.
Eventually, it was expected from him to kill her when the first signs of their rivalry surfaced, everyone feared she would take his life away in the middle of a war where they couldn't afford to lose more Jedi's. Obi-Wan could nearly sense himself again sitting in his chair at the Temple reunited with the Council, listening to master Yoda and master Windu rambling about how daunting and threatening this new enemy was.
Regardless of the order, he did not want to get rid of her. Not when her life could be different; and even then he couldn't realize he was mirroring himself over this antagonized creature.
For his reputation he was glad, and found a certain comfort of fame, not unjustified, he was known around the galaxy as an heroic Jedi Knight, now becoming a Master. Up until now, life seemed to be for him nothing more than battle bad guys and just adventures which he liked yet, meant everything in a literal sense.
He was a strong, well-mannered, skillful and loyal member of the Jedi Council, he was known as stoic and undoubted, still he held thoughts like this, about another life, another path. Ever since Satine, he wasn't certainly the same, he thought about what ifs? instead of what's next? The Duchess opened a door he could never close on his own, eventually someone held it open, unintended of course, but who raises in him all doubts again.
He saw other’s common reality, civilian people living clueless lives, aware of the war but not fighting it; loving and caring like breathing, no vigilance or vows of no attachments, feeling completely with no fear of losing themselves in hatred and wrath; the Force was a gift he learned to accept in exchange for love.
Obi-Wan Kenobi gave everything for the Jedi way, even before Satine, it was his choice to dedicate his life to a greater good, a purpose he didn't regret fulfilling as it was the only that he knew. Although he regretted the emotional damage those feelings provoked, after meeting his hedonistic beloved, he regretted not being able to have both.
Love and peace, attachment and duty, to hold both titles with the same pride. Jedi Master and husband.
Returning his mind where it has to, looking at her one last time, eyes wide open holding pure rage in her face, legs and arms in an attack position, made him think he has lost something again, perhaps her whole being as well. The chance to be different, to renounce one of the last pieces of his past after rescuing Leia and start that long search he didn’t begun ten years ago when the Jedi Order disappeared to restart his life.
The search had ended prior to beginning.
Again, in his way it was proven there was no awaiting love for him, only infinite sadness.
He wished he knew more about her, perhaps, of her other life, the one before all the turmoil and not only the single prism of her scars. Now she was like everything after the Jedi's, an intrusive thought of his old life; the living nightmare before going to sleep.
What would he give to fight her one last time? As in the ardent past that preceded them.
Oh— he could still savor the soft viper tongue of her beloved's words, cocky remarks dripping from her lips like the sweet nectar of a flower, the taste of her sugar-coated sarcasm, even her Force signature was like a field of sassy roses with sharp thorns. To him, she had this lovable side, one that showed in the rarest moments, the essential ones indeed; when malignant forces displayed to attack him, she transformed into a caring ally.
Like one of the last times he saw her.
"Hello there." She mocked Obi-Wan's greeting, like every time they saw each other.
Obi-Wan turned around to face her, admiring once again her features, her dusky skin, thin lips and big golden eyes covered in rough black eyeliner. She ignited her red lightsaber, posturing to defend herself. Obi-Wan mimicked her, his cyan one ready to dance against hers.
“Long time since the last I saw you”, with a sincere tone, waiting for her strike, Obi-Wan wished to just talk with her like two friends that loved the other like lovers do.
“Not long enough”, she attacked first, aware of the hesitant hold of Kenobi’s lightsaber in his hand.
She could see he didn’t want to really harm her. So she settled in the mood for play, like the thousand times before when their brutal encounters had been nothing more than child’s play, a lightsaber dance that lasted as long as the battalions around them were able to.
She liked to win, and just to tease him, from time to time she left Obi-Wan battle marks, at first it was her way to put a symbol on him, so that everyone would see that she had defeated him, over time they became violent kisses that would last burning his skin in the form of scars merely for him, so he could see her headstrong love impregnated in him like poison at every glance to his naked form in the mirror.
The noise of their lightsabers striking each other was quickly lost by their companions on the field and as they moved away from the rest of the opponents, their fight diminished in intensity, barely reducing to a couple of brushes until they reached the edge of a cliff. Obi-Wan thought it was the perfect moment to promise her another fight and let her go, there were enough witnesses of her arrival and their encounter, and they were already too far from the starting point, no one would suspect he set her free.
Until…
She slipped from a rock. He took her hand and then her forearm, lifting her upper body to steady her steps and safe from the fall. He realized she was afraid of heights, and more than surprised or judgmental, he was endeared.
“For someone who jumps a lot, you seem afraid,” he pointed out mockingly at her reaction, both searching for her lightsaber on the ground.
She stayed silent as he inspected the edge of the cliff to check how mortal the fall would have been if he didn’t prevent it. He turned to see her look at the void so terrified, it didn’t produce any satisfaction or joy to see her in a state of trepidation.
“That was close,” breathlessly, she held onto Obi-Wan’s arms fearing to let go.
“Well, you could’ve just pushed me and we would be dead now,” he suggested to test a reaction out from her, her eyes lifted up to interlock with him, thinking he was out of his mind.
She didn’t think of really killing him, not now nor ever, she raised her brows surprised he would say that, but he proved already he wouldn’t do that to her. She composed her demeanor, getting far from his position, to not do something on impulse and not risk herself to slip and fall.
“Maybe I don’t want you completely dead, that would be my dead.” Her cheeks turned into flames, making her self-conscious of her own words. She was not used to being flirty in combat, she hid in aggression, though the feelings Kenobi aroused in her were foreign; she didn’t want to stop feeling them. "Because of the fall, don't get me wrong Kenobi", she justified.
Obi-Wan's reaction was just as neat as hers, a little smile appearing on his face, it was not in amusement.
He cared for her, enough to worry if she was safe wherever she was, to wonder what spending a day with her company must feel like or to talk past life threats or flirty tactics to distract one another. To share knowledge, to share feelings, to share the same space in existence.
His furrowed brow marked the start of some more teasing.
Strangely, she wasn't prepared for order 66 or its repercussions.
Because the very last time Obi-Wan saw her alive they were trying to save the other from the attack, he wanted to turn back time, to take her to Tatooine with him, to restart like she suggested too many times, to please every thought she shared through their bond about life together, but none of it was possible.
Even though he wanted to dedicate his life to her, finding her would have been his biggest obstacle. He made a promise to her, but he had a bigger vow.
Their dreams were impalpable, insane and improper from the moment of their conception, caught in the spectrum of imagination and destined to die in the back of their minds as if they were mere ideas. Crazy, never growing beyond their heads, ideas.
Although contrasting, the life of a Jedi and a Sith boiled down to the same thing, abandoning yourself to choose a life of service. Obi-Wan Kenobi was never a man who escaped from duty, and taking care of Padme and Anakin's children wasn't the exception. He was now voluntarily linked to the boy and his sister.
And her last doings, mysterious, kept with secrecy, remained unconcluded with the clash of the Order 66. So they did what they must and parted ways. Didn't matter how much it hurted them, if no one knew about what they had, they still could pretend they had nothing else to lose.
Notwithstanding the disaster, Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't prepared to lose her too. He withdrew himself from the glass where the apparent corpse of his hedonistic beloved rested quietly, incapable of staring at it one second more, desperate to feel her. Duty wasn't over and he had to save Leia from the Inquisitors still.
Silently saying goodbye to his key piece, his last ray of fresh sunshine who's illusion served him to endure the burning suns of Tatooine, he caressed with his digits where her name was written in the keypad and stepped out of the tomb, unable to see the last wonder he had done to her. Her hidden vital signals — not traced by him blinded by his wounded emotions — and how her body became one with the Force finally disappearing in relative peace.
He set her free.

birthday
han solo x reader
note: this one’s kinda cute. i have a cute indy birthday fic on the way, which i’ll probably post later today, and i’m working on another han one that’s gonna be a lil sad so be prepared
Tumblr media
you were disappointed.
had they all forgotten?
the one day that you had been waiting for had finally arrived, and it seemed as though everyone around you had no clue about it.
you weren’t disappointed, you were hurt.
after all, you were the one who remembered everything.
every birthday, every holiday even if it was insignificant to you, despite it all, you would wish them a happy day and do all in your power to make it a special day for them.
and yet, on the one day, your day, there was nothing. you hadn’t expected anything grand of course, merely a “happy birthday” just some acknowledgment of your day.
and yet, the day was already almost over, and there was nothing. not even from leia, who you thought of all people would remember.
then there was han.
now, he was forgetful, it was just his way. but this was one thing that he never forgot. of course, he wasn’t good with planning things so it would never be some big party, but just a nice little gesture.
but you hadn’t seen him all day. you’d practically searched all of endor, even taking the time to ask some ewoks.
as night fell, you approached luke, “hey, have you seen han?” the blond shook his head, “haven’t seen him all day. but if i do, i’ll let him know that you’re looking for him.” you smiled softly, trying to mask your sadness.
“okay thanks.” you replied, turning to go, “hey!” you faced him again, “yeah?” luke sent you a kind smile, “happy birthday.”
happiness swelled in your chest. someone remembered. “thanks luke.”
you headed to you and han’s shared hut with a newfound joy. one person had acknowledged your day, and honestly, that one person was enough to change your day for the better.
as you were about to open the makeshift door, you paused, hearing bickering inside.
“han you idiot!”
“it’s not my fault!”
“how is it not your fault!? there’s glass all over the floor now!”
furrowing your brows, you probably pushed open the door, your eyes widening.
but it wasn’t the glass littering the floor that surprised you. it was the decorations. beautiful flowers, large and small, filled the small interior of the hut. intricately painted lanterns were set upon the small table.
these had not been here this morning.
leia and han whipped around, surprise written across their faces, “oh hey!” leia exclaimed, trying to act as normal as possible, but failing. “sweetheart-what, uh, what are you doing here?” han questioned, his voice riddled with anxiousness.
“you did this for me?”
“i know, it’s dumb, leia suggested it-“
“han actually was the one who wanted to do this.” leia corrected, glaring at the man. you shook your head lightly, approaching him, carefully avoiding the shards of glass on the floor, “it’s not dumb. i love it, han. i really do.”
a playful grin toyed on his lips, “yeah?”
“yeah.” you leaned forward, pressing a kiss to his lips. he smiled into it, deepening it slightly. “hey guys-“ luke paused as he caught sight of what was happening.
his jaw dropped. “leia, i thought you were joking!”
“why would i lie about this?”
you and han pulled apart, glancing at the siblings in confusion, “what are you talking about?” you questioned slowly.
leia crossed her arms over her chest, nodding toward luke, “skywalker now owes me some money.”
suddenly, it clicked.
“hold on a sec.. were you betting on us?”
the twins exchanged a mischievous look, “maybe.”
“you couldn’t have waited a week!” luke exclaimed, causing the room to erupt in laughter. han pulled you close, his arms hugging your waist as he rested his chin upon the top of your head, “no way kid, i’ve waited years for this.”
you smiled.
and that day, for the first time, you had spent your special day surrounded by everyone you loved.
your best friend, your ‘brother’, and the love of your life, oh, and chewie of course, although he was fashionably late.
and while the day had started off rough, this was one that you would remember for all of eternity.
and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Uhhh...happy Star Wars...week? I guess? It's a thing, right? Anyway, here's this chapter several weeks early. Because I can't sit on this thing any longer. I like it too much.
Many thanks to @diplomaticprincess for acting as an early beta reader for this one!

“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” he said, staring at the hand Leia rested on the table between them.
She chuckled softly before looking up at him through her lashes. “I didn’t say anything.”
Han looked her in the eye and shot her an easy, lopsided grin. “If you can tell me with a straight face you weren’t worryin’ about wakin’ me up, I’ll forfeit my fee for this run.”
Ever up for a challenge, Leia lifted her chin slightly, manifesting the neutral expression that had been a regularly called-upon skill since she was a pre-teen. “I wasn’t worrying about waking you up,” she said evenly. “I was merely debating bringing last night up or letting time and the delusion that you’ll forget about it eventually chip away at my mortification.” She tilted her head, smiling demurely. “But I won’t make you forfeit your fee.”

Love seeing people talk about how powerful Anakin is because like. It doesn’t even matter. Anakin fails at everything despite apparently being the most powerful force user in existence.
Is he able to become a good Jedi? No, he sucks ass at being a Jedi and kills them all, there is no argument to be made ever that Anakin was a good Jedi. Anakin himself says more than once he’s a suck-ass Jedi and while he’s an unreliable narrator at the best of times, the narrative itself supports that statement, so I’m willing to accept that one as truth.
Is he a good Sith then? Eh, I guess? He kills a lot of Jedi, that’s pretty much the defining aspect of being a good Sith, I suppose. But Palpatine never seems all that happy with him as an apprentice and he’s CERTAINLY less useful than Dooku was as an apprentice, despite Dooku’s constant attempts to overthrow Palpatine, he’s also arguably Palpatine’s most successful apprentice. And everything Anakin does to annihilate the Jedi could’ve been done by Dooku or Maul. Or no apprentice at all. Anakin comes up with no Sith-y plans of his own and apparently can’t even figure out how to open a Sith Temple to access a Sith holocron. So while he’s a PASSABLE Sith, he’s honestly not that good at being  a Sith, either, I’d argue. Not because he’s a good person, he’s just... not that smart or capable in general and that remains true as much as a Sith as it did as a Jedi.
Is he a good student? Nope, sucks ass here, continuously goes against any teaching we ever see him given by the Jedi OR his mother. And then proceeds to repeatedly try to kill his own teacher after throwing him away like chopped liver to make sure his wife lives.
Is he a good teacher? Not really, he apparently is pretty unorthodox in how he trains Ahsoka who is already apparently particularly advanced in her skills and the times we see her taught patience, her biggest vice in early Clone Wars seasons, it’s actually through OTHER MASTERS like Plo Koon and Tera Sinube and Anakin is repeatedly called out for being the reason Ahsoka struggles with this he is absolutely incapable of teaching it to her. And then he repeatedly tries to kill her after throwing her away like chopped liver to make sure his wife lives.
Is he a good husband, then? No. He repeatedly ignores Padme’s set boundaries when trying to seduce her and emotionally manipulates her into feeling sorry for him and like she’s the bad guy when she lays out the very logical reasons why they shouldn’t start a relationship and then commits genocide on her behalf and asphyxiates her while pregnant when she’s not super happy about the genocide. I’ll also bring up he was demanding of Padme and didn’t like when Padme didn’t give him attention immediately on his schedule and can and WILL manipulate her into feeling like she’s the bad guy for trying to do her job or focus on literally anything else that isn’t him and will absolutely try to kill someone who kisses Padme against her will as a punishment for PADME because she let it happen. So no, he’s the world’s worst husband and we VERY rarely see a redeeming sweet scene between him and Padme because they’re so intensely toxic for each other.
How about a good father, since he presumably turns back for Luke? No. He’s a terrible father, too. Man chops off said son’s hand to try to torture him into turning Dark so he’ll rule at Anakin’s side. And let’s not forget that trying to save Padme from childbirth had jack all to do with saving the child he thought she carried. It’s PADME who has to ask about whether the baby lives or not and his response is basically to shrug because what does that matter if PADME’S dead. And then he proceeds to asphyxiate Padme while pregnant, which will absolutely kill any child she’s pregnant with too if he succeeds and when Obi-Wan says to let her go, he just DROPS HER. Yeah, I see so much care and love for his child there. He threatens to torture Leia if Luke refuses to turn down the line, he’s very intent on torturing his kids into going dark, it’s a major goal for him. And then the one thing he wants Luke to do after he dies is to make sure Leia knows Anakin WAS a good person all along, gotta make sure the woman he tortured knows that it’s actually all good now, just forget the torture stuff, Anakin really DID have some good deep down inside, he just chose not to act on it when asked to torture her, it’s chill now though!
Pretty sure that’s it, so. Lots of raw power? Sure. Doesn’t stop him from being an absolute fuck-up at literally everything in his life, though. Just goes to show, if anyone tells you natural talent will get you farther than hard work and training and dedication, just remind them that Anakin Skywalker exists as proof positive that this isn’t true!

Camping in Naboo Pt.1
I finally had some inspiration. There’s not a lot of tickling in this one because I’m trying to set that up for the next part, which I don’t have time to write right now. Hope you like it!
You knew that Luke had told Leia about his... revelation after your lightsaber instruction. How?
Well, it had maybe been a day since Luke had absolutely tickled you into oblivion. You’d been relaxed in the lounge of the Milennium Falcon again, laying across the padded bench with your eyes closed, when you’d felt a weight settle on your waist.
The mischevious glint in Leia’s eyes and the indignant scowl told you her purpose before she’d even said it.
“How have I never known you were ticklish?!”
Leia made up for it with the kind of dedication you knew was typical of her. By the time she was done with you, she knew every ticklish bone in your body and promised to never let you forget it.
The next few weeks weren’t as fun, preparing for the trip to Naboo to deal with the unrest following the disbanding of the Empire. You, Han, Chewie, Luke and Leia were choosing to deal with it yourselves, rather than send another squad of Republic fighters. The first had been greatly unprepared for the numbers they’d faced, and your group was used to the odds being against them.
The perk to this trip? Camping in Naboo. The nature there was gorgeous, and it brought you back to fond memories of climbing trees with Leia on Alderaan, hoping to catch a glimpse of the ships coming in to port.
“So were you just hoping to hide and get out of helping set up the tents?” Luke called up to you and Leia, who’d climbed a tree just minutes after your arriving at the campsite. Chewie let out what you’d come to recognize as a Wookie grunt of complaint, and you watched as he and Han struggled to get the tents upright.
“Kinda?” You shrugged back at Luke, Leia already swinging her legs around to descend back down the tree.
“We know you boys are incapable of anything without us, but really Han? Defeated by a tent?” Leia teased, lowering herself back onto the grass.
“Yeah, you can make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, but a tent-”
You felt your stomach drop before you did, the branch you were using to lower yourself snapping and giving way before you could grab another.
“Y/N!” you heard Luke exclaim as Leia knelt beside you. You’d missed her in your fall and landed flat on your back, knocking the wind out of your lungs.
“Breathe,” Leia coaxed, bringing your arms up above your head to help you get in some air.
“I’ll be... fine.. in a second,” you whispered.
Luke offered you a hand after a moment, pulling you into a sitting position as Leia worked on pulling a few stray leaves out of your hair.
“Did you take the whole tree with you?” she joked, moving on to plucking some out of the knitted top you wore for warmth. She plucked one off your side, and you jolted away from the touch, a slight smile on your face.
Leia hummed, a knowing look gracing her features as she looked at the faint blush on your cheeks.
“Stop it,” you whined, hiding your face in your hands.
“Here, let me help you Leia,” Luke chuckled. You swatted at him as he moved his hands quickly to evade yours, sneaking in pokes and pinches to your sides as Leia removed other leaves from your top.
“You’re bohohoth the worst,” you giggled as they helped you up, looking over to where Han and Chewie were unabashedly watching.
“So you both knew about Y/N’s only apparent weakness, and didn’t want to share with Chewie and me?” Han quipped, letting go of the tent, only for the fabric to fall the other way and engulf Chewie.
“Ooo, you’re in for it now,” Luke pretended to whisper. “Wookies are practically tickle monsters, Y/N.”
Chewie grumbled something from under the tent.
“What’d he say, Han?” you asked.
Han smiled. “He just agreed with Luke.”
You were in for a long trip.

lskajhdjkal ok i've been messing around with an incorrect quote generator for my Star Wars OCs/AUs and here's some highlights
Problem Children AU
Esme: Don't worry, I've got a few knives up my sleeve. Jadan: I think you mean cards. Ahsoka: She did not. Esme, pulling out knives: I did not.
---
Jadan: Why would you think any of this was a good idea?! Esme: Probably because I’m a dangerous sociopath with a long history of violence. Jadan: Oh... Ahsoka, from across the room: I don’t understand how you keep forgetting that.
---
Ahsoka: Stop setting things on fire because you're curious about what will happen. What will happen is fire. Esme: But what if something else happens just this one time.
---
Jadan: I have a problem. Esme: Kill it. Jadan: Can you chill for like, two seconds?
---
The Time Heals 'Verse
Obi-Wan: Can I get a waffle? Sabine and Anakin: *fighting and yelling at each other* Obi-Wan: Can I p l e a s e get a waffle?
---
Sabine: *sighs* Anakin: You bored? Sabine: Yeah. Anakin: Wanna start drama for no reason? Sabine: I thought you’d never ask.
---
Obi-Wan: I currently have 7 empty notebooks and I have no idea what to put in them. Any suggestions? Sabine: Put spaghetti in it. Obi-Wan: I am currently taking suggestions from everyone but you. Anakin: Put spaghetti in it. Obi-Wan: I am currently taking suggestions from everyone but you two. Ezra: Put spaghetti in it. Obi-Wan: I am no longer taking suggestions.
---
Ahsoka: Name a more iconic duo than my crippling fear of abandonment and my anxiety. I’ll wait. Jacen: You and me! Ahsoka: *tearing up* Ok.
---
Ezra, talking about Anakin: Is this a friend of yours, Sabine? Sabine: Kind of? Not really. He's in my life and there's nothing I can do about it.
---
Anakin: What has the galaxy ever done for you?! Why would you wanna save it?! Sabine: Cause I’m one of the idiots who lives in it!
The Rebels AU With The Time Traveling Padawans
Ezra: *eating a cinnamon roll* Derriphan: Cannibalism. Ezra: *confused chewing noises*
---
Sabine & Derriphan:*Playing video games* Daesha: You guys woke up at 5:30 in the morning just to play games? Sabine: *silence* Derriphan: *silence* Daesha, finally figuring it out: ...You two never went to sleep, did you? Sabine & Derriphan in shame: Yeah...
---
Ezra: Why are you like this?? Derriphan: I used too much "No More Tears" shampoo as a kid and I haven't felt a single emotion since.
---
Ezra: When I see really attractive people like Daesha, I just laugh because I know if we lived in the Aztec culture, they'd be sacrificed for their beauty. Sabine: I mean, that's one way to cope with not being attractive. Derriphan: Works for me.

♡ With Kylo! I beg! Tell me stuff!
SEND ME ♡ + A SHIP AND I’LL TELL YOU…
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh love of my liiiiiiiiiiiiifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Tumblr media
Who is the most affectionate?
Honestly, we can both be incredibly affectionate but I think I might give this one to Ben simply because he always has to be touching me in some type of way~ He's pretty clingy when we are in private, not that I'm complaining though!
Who initiates the handholding?
This goes with the affection question, you could say... it goes hand in hand hurrhurr imsorry.. But really, this would also go to Ben, he loves holding my hand, doesn't matter if we're walking, or snuggling, or sitting next to one another, he can't help but lock his fingers with mine (this also includes kisses to my palms, back of my hand, and knuckles!)
Who worries more for the other?
me me meeeee I worry about him like it's going out of style, especially if he has been away for while and I haven't heard from him. I tend to generally have racing scary thoughts so if he hasn't been around for awhile I think the worst and drive myself nuts until he actually comes home to me T_T
Who is more likely to ask for help?
OOF- Sadly, we aren't the types to ask if we notice something is off about the other we will eventually ask what's up but other than that we are STUBBORN when it comes to asking for help even with little things too dslkjfldsfkjlds
Who is the one always losing the keys?
Hi that would be me! "Have you checked the fridge?" is a common response from Kylo when I say "Hey love, have you seen my keys?" ldkjfklsdfjlds
Who leaves little love notes for the other?
hm, we aren't really ones for note giving? If we have something to say we will just tell each other even if we're blushy and awkward about it, we are more of the "say it because you never know what happens" type of people :3
Who can’t sleep unless the other is there?
Kylooooo~! (well technically me as well but he's worse about it lol) he has gotten so accustomed to me sleeping next to him that if I'm not there he will literally not be able to sleep properly at all. I'm always talking about how he's my calm but I sometimes forget that I am also his!
Who is more likely to propose to the other?
Kylo proposed to me! :D (It was in a fic actually hehehe) and it was so sweet and such a tender moment and dlkfjlfjsdl CANNOT WAIT TO MARRY HIM! although I already refer to him as my husband <3
Who introduced the other to their family first?
(good time line where nothing ever goes wrong: ) I have no family so Ben introduced me to his legendary parents Leia and Han! I was a MESS lol oh also it turned out I pickpocketed his dad before I knew he was Ben's dad... OOPS! dlkfjdlskjf
Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair?
That would be meeee~ I cannot help or ever resist putting my hands through his mans hair!! I am obsessed with my mans hair so much! It's so thick and fluffy and GRAH! <3
Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated?
Ben literally has to remind me to eat food. He esentially has a real life tamagachi sdlfkjdslkfjsd /lh /j but no he's really good at helping me remember to eat and I'm good at reminding him to stay hydrated!
Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other?
My baby has a T E M P E R so you bet your ass if anyone hurt me in any way shape or form he would be on their ASS about it if they lived or died from it would be another story! He is my number one defender and I love it~ <3
Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other?
We're both the same! We like to surprise each other from time to time, not all the time mind you but we always say "I'm gonna get you back for this~" teasingly haha
Who makes the other pinky promise not to do certain things?
ME! I make him lock it too! (thats when you pinkie promise and then also press your thumbs together and make a turning key motion!) <333 thats the only way pinkie promises are dealt when I use em! hehe
Who puts a blanket over the other when they fall asleep on the couch?
Kylo does! I mean unless he is really in the mood to snuggle with me then he will just lift me up and put me into bed but other times he will leave me be and place a blanket over me (Or his cloak~) >/////<

Teenage Dream (Steve Harrington x Reader) 1/?
Tumblr media
A/N: this is gonna have more than one part, i’m just trying to decide if it’ll have 2 or 3 parts!  Friends to Lovers, realization of love
-- “I’m just saying, I just don’t think anything can top episode five. It just has that amazing moment where Vader tells Luke he’s his father. I don’t think anything can beat that.” (Y/n) said as she learned back in the chair behind the desk, throwing the tape she was holding onto the counter. “Yeah but episode six has Leia in that space bikini and she’s smoking hot. Then those little teddy bear guys.” Steve told her as he grabbed the tape she had tossed, putting it on a cart to be shelved. She shook her head as she stood, grabbing another tape from the pile of returns so she could rewind it. “You’re forgetting the amazing scene where Han is getting frozen in carbonite and then when him and Leia confess their love, it’s just pure cinema.” “Of course you would love all the mushy crap while they’re literally kicking ass in space.” Steve mumbled, earning a slight smack on the arm as he walked by. “Dustin would also probably shit his pants if he heard us talking about Star Wars without him bringing it up first.” She shrugged. “I saw the tape when I was going through the returns pile, and we’ve been stuck talking about it for like, ten minutes.” She told him while watching the tape rewind. Nothing worse than people who returned their movies without rewinding them first. “Any plans tonight when we get out?”
Steve tried to look interested in the tape he was holding, focusing carefully where it had to be placed on the cart. He knew better than to try and fool her, as she was already staring at him, giving him that all-knowing look. “Fine! I have a date!”
“A date! Wow, I would have never guessed!” (Y/n) teased as she pretended to act surprised. Steve had been going on dates pretty much every night for as long as she had known him. And having known him for almost her entire life, to find out he was going on a date was no surprise to her. “Where are you taking this lucky girl?”
“I don’t want to answer that. You know the answer and you’re just teasing me.” Steve told her, feeling a slight bush on his cheeks as she started to laugh.
“You’re taking her out for some pizza, then going to bring her to Skull Rock and try to make a pass at her, before bringing her home.” She told him, watching him nod as she spoke. “You do that with every girl that you’ve ever gone out with, because it’s the easiest thing to do.”
Steve turned to her, clearly shocked. “What is that supposed to mean?”
(Y/n) took the tape out of the rewinding machine and put it back in its case before grabbing another tape to put inside the machine, hitting the button before she spoke. “You’ve gone through every single girl in town, and have only ever done the same date with each girl. I’m assuming when you finally find the one girl you actually like, you’re going to take her somewhere different.”
Steve looked to be at a loss for words. Sure, he’s thought about taking some of these girls on real dates. But he did at least have the mental capacity to realize that he didn’t really like any of these girls. They didn’t make him the good kind of nervous, didn’t make his hands all clammy, and surely didn’t give him that spark that something real was going on. “You’re just jealous because after all these years, I never took you out.” Steve shot back, saying the words without even comprehending what he had said. “Yeah, like I’m just begging for that to happen.” She scoffed as she snapped the tape out of the rewinder and back into the case.
“Then let me take you out tonight. I’ll cancel with Steph, and we can go out and do something.” Steve told her as he watched her drop the tape she was holding.
(Y/n)  pretended to swoon, hand on her forehead as she leaned back on the counter. “The day I’ve been waiting for! Steve Harrington has finally asked me on a date!” She sighed dramatically before she stood back up to look at him with a smirk. “Was that the reaction you wanted me to have?”
He shook his head as he bent down to pick up the tape she dropped. “You could have just said no like a normal person.”
“Fine! I’ll go out with you tonight and repair that broken ego of yours.” She smiled as she walked over and patted him on the back. “But I swear to god if you touch my boob, I might have to kill you.” She told him before she walked off to the back of the store.
Steve groaned as he put his head in his hands. Of course, asking his best friend out on a date wasn’t the smartest of ideas–especially when he’s had a crush on her since the fifth grade. Now he finally got the chance of his dreams, and it looked like he didn’t even care one bit about this being, maybe the most eventful night of his life.
The little bell above the door dinged and Steve looked up to see Robin entering the shop. This meant he was halfway to freedom, she was coming in to cover for (Y/n) so that she could go home. “What’s up with you? You look pathetic.” Robin told him as she stepped behind the desk, shoving her bag under the register.
“Well, I have a date tonight.” Steve said as he turned to face her. “With (Y/n).”
Robin blinked in recognition as she silently watched the other girl leave the store, waving bye to Steve and telling him she would see him later. “You’re kidding me.”
“Nope. We have a date. And I asked her out on a complete joke, and she said yes.” Steve told her, his head falling down into his hands once more. “What the hell am I gonna do?”
This was the only time in her life Robin seemed at a loss for words. She knew Steve had a huge crush on (Y/n) after he had told her inside the bathroom at the Starcourt Mall. Puking their guts out and confessing their love to people they believed would never love them back. “Well you’re gonna have to tell her you meant it.”
“Are you crazy! I can’t tell her I meant it!” Steve snapped at her, watching as a few customers perked up at the sound. He tried his best to look apologetic before turning back to Robin. “I can’t tell her. If I do, it will freak her out and she’s not gonna want to be my friend ever again. How do you stay friends with someone who tells you they love you?”
“Or maybe, this is your chance! Maybe she said yes to you because she really likes you too. Did you ever think of that?” She asked him, watching as he slowly processed her words.
Steve was still trying his best not to listen to her. He didn’t want to get his hopes up, and she had a really bad habit of trying to make him feel better and realize things that weren’t actually true. “That can’t be it. She probably just feels like she’s doing me a favor or something.”
Robin rolled her eyes while she propped herself on the counter to look at him. “How about, you take her on a real date and try to prove her wrong? None of the skull rock crap, don’t just take her out for crappy pizza. You’re going to have to be a little classy.”
“What, like take her to the movies?” Steve asked, earning himself a slap on the back of the head.
“No! Maybe a sit down dinner? Enzo’s is a good place to start. They’re fancy! You know a place that has a candle at the table is fancy.” Robin told him, starting to grin while he nodded. “You can call and get a reservation, and I can call and tell (Y/n) to dress up a little bit. Perfect plan.”
Steve smiled slightly, giving her a gentle pat on the shoulder, his way of saying thank you. “I really hope you’re right about all of this.”
“Trust me. I’ve never been wrong.” Robin smirked, grabbing a stack of tapes and walking off to shelve them, leaving Steve standing behind the desk trying to imagine the perfect date he could ever come up with.

"You keep forgetting I'm a farm boy from Tatooine. You belong here as much as I do."
“I don’t even know how to dance,” Din admitted. Luke laughed at that, but not at him.
“That is easy to fix. I can teach you, Leia taught me.”
Din thought about the sweeping, whirling motions he had seen the twins doing and shook his head.
“I saw you two dance, I can’t do that.”
“You don’t start there,” Luke said and took half a step back from Din. He held his hands up. “Here, I’ll lead. It’s easier to learn when you aren’t leading.”
Din had no idea what that meant or what to do with his hands and he shrugged.
Luke grabbed Din’s right arm and put it on his shoulder. He put his own left hand on Din’s waist and tilted his elbow up, making a sort of shelf that Din could rest his arm on. He then held out his other hand and laced their fingers together, holding their hands up at about chest height.
“Uh,” Luke looked down to consider the space around them then pulled Din back with him so they were more centered on the balcony. “Okay. Here. You start with your left foot backwards and go from there. Put your full weight behind each step.”
Din started to protest that Luke hadn’t given him nearly enough information but then there was gentle pressure on his hand and waist, guiding him, and Luke started to move forward with his right foot. Din had no choice but to move back a step.
"Line your right foot up with your left but a little wide."
Luke pushed, still so gently, to the side and back. Din looked down, sure he was going to trip.
"Don't look at your feet, keep your eyes on me.”

Star Wars parallels in Stranger Things
Okay so I’ve definitely seen this take at least once before (i don’t remember from who, sorry), but I think it was dated to pre-S4 and there’s a whole lot more evidence to it now. Also, I’m coming from the BNHA fandom so I’m practically conditioned to compare any media to Star Wars lmao. Not all of these are direct matches, but I found the similarities interesting.
Up first is Henry Creel/One/Vecna, who parallels Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Anakin is born sensitive to the force (the Upside-Down). He begins to train as a Jedi later than most younglings (as far as we know, One was the only number not raised in the lab from birth). As he grows older he becomes jaded to the world around him and spiteful to the people in it. He draws his powers from a place of hatred. After growing increasingly erratic, he completes his transition to the dark side when he slaughters the younglings (the massacre at the lab, where he killed off almost all of the numbers). He also becomes physically deformed after he falls in the lava when another Jedi punishes him for this action, and is unrecognisable until he reveals his identity (One’s transformation into Vecna after Eleven sends him to the Upside-Down). Only a few Jedi survive the massacre (Eleven, Kali, and Will). The largest difference between Henry and Anakin is that Anakin redeems himself in the end, whereas Henry has explicitly rejected redemption.
Next are Eleven and Will, who represent Luke and Leia respectively, and need to be grouped as a package deal. They're siblings! Luke has strong innate abilities with the force, which he doesn’t unlock until he is much older than most Jedi-in-training (Eleven being a late bloomer). He is also the protagonist (Stranger Things might technically be an ensemble show but it isn’t fooling anyone). Leia’s force sensitivity isn’t as focused on or as strong, but it is present (Will’s True Sight and my stubborn belief in the Will Byers Has Powers agenda). The plot of A New Hope is kicked off when Leia is captured by Darth Vader and Luke is the one to receive her distress signal (Will being taken to the Upside-Down, which was confirmed to be for a reason and presumably intentional on Vecna’s part, and El being able to locate him there and listen to him through the radios). Luke struggles between the dark side and the light side, but ultimately the light side wins out and his powers come from a place of love (El’s initial use of her powers being based in anger, as reinforced by Kali). One interesting thing about these two is that Leia is the one with a consistent love interest, while Luke remains happily single.
these three are the most 1:1 matches. There are other characters with notable similarities, but they aren’t quite as obvious. I’ll list them, but there’s less supporting evidence for them.
Kali is a bit of a wild card. In some aspects, she represents Yoda, one of the few remaining Jedi who teaches Luke how to better control his powers, involving a task where he must move an incredibly heavy object (Kali training Eleven and her moving the- train carriage? container? truck? I forget; that episode sucked). However, running with our current analogy, she would actually be a youngling who happened to escape the massacre. I have quite a lot of thoughts about Kali and her likely connection to One, and while they’re tangential to this post they support this angle. I might make another post about her later.
Brenner also embodies Yoda a little, as El also went off to train her powers with him. Yoda told Luke he was not ready after his training, and died in front of him. I toyed with the idea of him paralleling Palpatine, but other than their shared Creepy Old Man Vibes they don’t have many strong narrative similarities. Brenner, despite being awful, is not trying to convert Henry to the “dark side”. Henry is doing that by himself. Indeed, Brenner seems to be trying to hinder him.
As Han Solo is Leia’s love interest, the obvious person to tie him to is Mike. Beyond that, though, there isn’t much to go on. My main concern with this parallel is the carbonite incident. If this is foreshadowing a plotline in S5 where Vecna does something terrible to Mike after Will’s confession, and Will is the one to save him, I’ll scream. Not sure if it would be a happy scream or not.
I’m not sure how much stock I put in this observation, but I do find the parallels neat and surprisingly easy to draw. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised to know that Stranger Things was plagiarising Star Wars, at any rate.
If you think of any other Star Wars parallels, please share them with me!!! I’ll add any more that I think of as well.

Never Bend, Never Bow, Never Break: Captured and Tortured Luke WIP
Content Warning: Hanging, Humiliation, Public Execution, Major Character Death (ish)
Luke wonders idly if Leia is watching the show, somewhere across the Galaxy. He doesn’t know if he prefers she was watching or not, now that it looks like the end. He’s led up the dais by some ISB bigwig, someone Luke has tried hard to forget the name of. Luke gets pushed roughly to the center of the platform, the noose hanging ominously in front of his face. His hands are tied- there’s no escaping the ringing of the death knelll, now.
There are Grand Moffs and Admirals and others of note in the upper echelons of Imperial society, all gathered to witness the public execution and humiliation of the poster boy of the Rebellion. Even Palpatine and, of course, Vader, are in attendance. It’s a grand day for the Imperial cause, after all.
Luke stares out across the gathered imbeciles, trying his best to look impassive, unafraid. He tries to call on the Jedi teachings, or at least what little Ben had managed to pass on before he was murdered by the very monster at his back.
Palpatine meanwhile, begins making some vaunted speech, his hoarse voice amplified by a microphone to carry across the crowd. He talks about the immense blow the Rebellion that will be dealt with the death of the most notorious Rebel, and swears to bring other notorious rabble-rousers to justice- Princess Leia of Alderaan, Former Senator Mon Mothma, a few others. Luke doesn’t deign to listen, instead sinking into the Force as much as possible.
He’s still emerged in the Force when Vader steps up behind him, and fits the noose around his neck. Luke takes a deep breath, and eyes Vader over his shoulder.
“I suppose I’ll be waiting for you in hell, Lord Vader.”
Vader’s respirator fills his ears, drowning out all else.
“You will be waiting a long while, Rebel. Myself and my Master will delight in watching you swing.”
Luke can’t contain the reflexive, nervous swallow at the words.
He knows any moment now, he’ll be dead. Neck snapped from the fall, gurgling and choking on his own vomit.
To make matters worse, he had been dressed in Imperial white- so that when he pissed himself in his death throes, everyone would witness his humiliation.
Even as he stares into the lens of the holocam in front of the dais, setting his jaw, nothing could have prepared him for the fall as it came, the tightening of the noose as he swings back and forth.
Vader merely watches him swing, death mask tilted at the sight.

Kenobi Ep.6 thoughts before the internet gets to me
.
Honestly? Almost absolutely perfect. Loved it to pieces.
I’ll need a couple of rewatches for it all to sink in, but a few thoughts:
- I did not expect them to actually let Obi-Wan get a clear win in the fight. Given the circumstances, I love it, it allows him to hit Vader enough that he ceases to be the monster for the audience and becomes Anakin again; Vader with the cracked mask and OW apologising had me in tears and Anakin somewhow simultaneously absolving him and making it worse; ‘Goodbye, Darth’  is a bigger burn than Mustafar
- Th fun action bits of the fight were also fun, great to see OW back in shape and kicking ass, in love with that stupid pose, you all know the one
-They’re doubling down HARD on the ‘Anakin made his own fucked up choices’ and I’m here for it - the entire purpose of Reva here is this basically, and like in the previous episode the parallels, while heavy handed, were well done;
- Reva was very good in this one and I loved the choice to have her face Luke alone, and choose to back down alone - there’s no one there to pressure her, no Vader, no OW, no Inquisitors - just her and this child and her choices. Predictable? Sure, but this entire show was predictable to anyone with half a brain but that doesn’t make it bad. It just means it’s delivering on beats it has clearly set up.
- Leia in what is basically a cross between her ANH outfit and a jedi outfit was wonderful; love the holster and what it symbolises in terms of her choices moving forward; seeing Bail and Breha was a delight; loved that we got to have some closure on Ben and Leia, even if it is all a little tinged with the tragedy of what will happen later (and of the past of course with OW’s words about Padme and Anakin)
-Owen and Beru defending the homestead! Loved it! Unfailingly brave those two, and good to hear Owen expressly claim Luke as his own
- Vader getting chewed out by Sheev for obsessing about Kenobi had me in stitches
- Owen and Ben somewhat reconciling was also good, and Obi-Wan in pristine jedi white robes was lovely to see;
- ‘Hello there’ was done in such a way that I can’t even complain about that bit of fanservice
- Qui-Gon was another bit of expected fanservice, which was ok, though I do wish we’d had a little more time here, but I understand why they chose to place it at the end of OW’s journey, it makes more sense that way
- I know there are rumours going around about a second season, but to me this is great as it is and tells a nice, complete, cohesive story. I would prefer if it is left alone, but I understand in the current media climate that won’t necessarily be possible.
Nitpicks that don’t matter but angry youtubers who make money from rageclicks will care a lot about I’m sure:
- floating rocks attack looked a little silly, i wished Obi-Wan and Vader had talked a little more, OW gets to Tattooine a liiittle too quickly, Luke sees Reva’s lightsaber, but then he hits his head 5 minutes later and will forget about it obviously,
