WIP titles and description
The ocean on top of the ocean (the world ends. It’s not all bad. This has a hopeful happy ending, the middle bits I don’t want to trick you in to reading but they all happen off screen)
The Parade. (Ghosts haunt John Stones. They aren’t real. Well they are real. They aren’t ghosts. He doesn’t deserve it. (He does sort of deserve it.).)
Flyboys (I have yet to decide on a proper name. Harry Kane used to be an accountant, and a pilot and a (redacted).
Spain 3 (also still settling on a name) Frank Lampard / John Terry (if John was that way inclined. The shadows of hard men hang over Frank.)
Getting there. The third part, so Jordan / John. (What turns me on is you being turned on, also condoms are terrible and you should meet this guy…)

Title: Kane gets Kidnapped 😈
Masterlist
Synopsis: AU where Kane, of @whumpsday Jim and Kane series, bites of more than he can chew when instead of kidnapping Jim he attempts to kidnap my OC Joan. Unaware of her guardian the Sanguinor.
CW: attempted kidnapping, decapitation, stabbing, blood, language, actual kidnapping
Begins the same with Kane driving around. Except instead of Jim he smells and locates Joan. He hides the car, AND
The girl was heavier than he expected, but aside from a startled jerk gave no resistance. In mere moments he was back to his car. He dumped her down on the pavement to tie her up. Effortlessly pinning her with a hand on her chest and the other on her mouth-
Something burned into either side of his ribs. With a howl Kane leaped off the girl and looked down. The wounds were already healing, but blood still stained his shirt.
The girl kicked herself to her feet. Bloody daggers held firmly in both hands. Completely unfazed by the whole affair.
He tackled her. Pinning her arms- and those damned knives- above her head. She landed with a barely restrained grunt. The knives scattering away.
"You BITCH!" He snarled. "You'll pay for that!"
The words were barely out of his mouth when there was a loud snap of wings. The both of them were suddenly engulfed in a massive shadow.
The girl smirked. "You first."
Everything went black.
The vampires head slipped from his shoulders. Giving Joan a slight headbutt before rolling away. She kept her mouth and eyes closed as blood spurted all over her. Then with what was a flick of the Sanguinor's sword, the weight was gone.
She wiped the blood away from her main eyes and blinked up at her older brother. Eight feet tall, golden haired, permanently wearing the serene, Golden face of their shared adopted father. The Sanguinor would have been a majestic, terrifying sight for anyone else. Especially when he descended from above on his glorious white wings.
Joan grinned at him. "Holy CRAP he was fast! I can't believe I stabbed him!"
"I can't believe he put you on the ground." The Sangionor signed. To compensate for his lake of facial expressions, he used his wings to add extra emphasis to words. Puffing up his feathers to show his continued irritation with her foolhardy plan. "That was asking for it."
He knelt, offering her a hand that could hold her entire head.
She took it, and he lifted her easily to her feet.
The feathers suddenly smoothed and the wings expanded protectively around her. His sign of concern. "Are you alright?" He signed.
"Yeah- I think he sprained my wrists with that tackle. Won't know until the adrenaline wears off though." She put his hand on her shoulder so he could feel her shrug. "Can't be helped."
The wings dropped. He tapped the top of her head. His sign of sterness for the next set of words. "Ice," he signed. "Not using yourself as bait. Not stabbing someone faster and stronger than you."
"Uh huh, you tracking the body?" She would have had a decent view of it from her periphery, but that was entirely blocked by the fake skin at the moment. Instead she turned her full head to look at the vampire.
He was still there. Torso and all.
Part of her relaxed. No Homestuck rules. No clowns that got back up when you weren't looking. No bodies that disappeared for a sick game.
The other part was just deeply unsettled.
The wings surrounded her again. The Sanguinor turned her head so she could see what he said.
"Let's get back to base," He signed. "Get cleaned up. Go from there."
"Sure, sure," she picked up her knives. "Lead the way."
The Sanguinor scooped up the body, then peered around. As though he could actually see. He raised his left wing, and Joan slipped in next to his side. With a gentle push from him, they both phased into the Backrooms.

If anyone would like to gift the mod, here’s my info!
So @mollyhooperish suggested I fill out the same form all of you did in case anyone wants to send me any goodies. I’m not going to turn on anon messaging on my main blog, but if you really want to give me something, here’s my form below a cut. You don’t have to, this is just if you want to.
TUMBLR USERNAME: noregretsnotearsnoanxieties
ALSO FOUND AT: AO3/Tumblr & Dreamwidth
UNDER THIS USERNAME/THESE USERNAMES: afteriwake (AO3), pennywaltzy (Tumblr) and penaltywaltz (DW)
If they get a Sherlock gift, these are characters/ships they also like aside from Sherlolly/Sherlock Holmes/Molly Hooper: Anything except Jlock, Holmescest of any stripe and Lestrade slash (with the exception of Mycroft/Lestrade, which I would adore). I'd especially also love Adlock, Marylock, Marycroft, Mollcroft, Salcroft, Hoopervan, Mollrene, Sebcroft and crossover ships Pondlock (Sherlock/Amy Pond), McMolly (Leonard McCoy/Molly), Khanolly (Khan Noonien Singh/Molly) or Martolly (Martin Crieff/Molly)
Favorite fanfic tropes/genres in the Sherlock fandom: AUs (especially university AUs where they're either students or teachers, or any AUs where they work in creative fields), fake dating/fake marriage, "there's only one bed!"/"we're snowed in all by ourselves!", canon divergence. Crossovers are also my jam (I currently write/have written Sherlock/Doctor Who, Sherlock/Star Trek AOS, Sherlock/Criminal Minds, Sherlock/MCU and Sherlock/Cabin Pressure)
If they get a non-Sherlock gift, these are their other fandoms: ::looks at the long list:: Star Trek AOS, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, MCU, DC Comics (more the comics pre-Flashpoint, DCAU and live action movies than DCTV, though I love Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl), Midsomer Murders, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, generally any version of Alice In Wonderland (but one that others liked was SyFy's Alice), Elementary, Leverage, Eureka, Bleach, CSI: NY, Criminal Minds
In their other fandoms, these are their favorite characters/ships: Kirk/Uhura, Spock/Uhura, Kirk/McCoy, Sulu/Ben, Gaila, Scotty, Chekov, Jaylah (Star Trek AOS); Jack/Phryne, Jack/Conchetta, Mac/happiness, all the main characters as a family unit (MFMM); any combination of Steve/Bucky/Sam/Natasha/Clint, Stephen/Christine, Tony/Pepper, Steve/Peggy, T'Challa/Nakia, Steve/Natasha, Bucky/Sharon, Scott/Hope, Thor/Jane, Loki/Darcy. Steve/Darcy, Bruce/Brunhilde, Phil/Melinda, Scott & Cassie, Thor & Loki, Tony & Peter, Stephen & Wong, T'Challa & Shuri, Killmonger, Okoye, any combination for friendships (MCU); Poison Ivy/Harley Quinn, Kate Kane/Maggie Sawyer, Bruce Wayne/Diana Prince, Bruce Wayne/Selina Kyle, Dick Grayson/Barbara Gordon, Renee Montoya/Kate Kane, Clark Kent/Lois Lane, Wally West/Linda Park (DC Comics - comics); Bruce Wayne/Diana Prince, Helena Bertinelli/The Question, Oliver Queen/Dinah Lance, John Stewart/Shayera Hol, Poison Ivy/Harley Quinn (DCAU); Barry Allen/Iris West-Allen, Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor, John Constantine/Sara Lance, Leonard Snart/Sara Lance, Ava Sharpe/Sara Lance (DCTV); Steve Trevor/Diana Prince (DCEU); basically everyone except DS Scott, and I’m open for any of the DS/coroner pairings after the initial coroner left (I think in the Jones era?), but I am a HUGE DS Jones fan (Midsomer Murders); Faramir/Eowyn, Kili/Tauriel (Tolkien Movies); Mickey/Martha, Rory/Amy, Doctor/River (any incarnation), Thirteen/Yasmin, Danny/Clara, Vastra/Jenny, Bill/Heather, Twelve/Missy, Donna & Ten, Eleven & Amy & Rory & River, Twelve & Bill, Martha & Jack, Ryan, Ashildr (Doctor Who); Hatter/Alice (SyFy's Alice); Sherlock/Jamie, Marcus/Joan, Joan/Jamie, Sherlock & Joan, Kitty, Alfredo, Ms. Hudson (Elementary); Hardison/Parker/Eliot (Leverage); Zane/Jo, Carter/Allison, Carter/Tess (Eureka); way too many to name - pick a het or femslash ship and I'll love it as long as it's up to the point in canon where Ichigo loses his powers, but I do have a fondness for Grimmjow/Nel and Toshiro/Karin (Bleach); Don Flack/Jessica Angell (CSI: NY); Emily Prentiss, Penelope Garcia, Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds); Bucky/Clara - MCU/Doctor Who, Zane/Daisy - Eureka/MCU, Dean/Jo - Supernatural/Eureka (Crossovers)
These are their favorite tropes in other fandoms: Honestly? Anything happy would be LOVE.
These are some non-fandom things they are interested in: Music (my taste is so varied but I tend to like all forms of EDM, 90s alt-rock, K-Pop and my favorite bands/artists are Linkin Park, Lorde, Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, Fall Out Boy, 2NE1 and Korn), books, mythology, movies in general, food, women's fashion (for fic reasons), history, coding, graphics work, photography, Legos, cats, the ocean, social activism, Pokemon (I know it's fandomy but I mean mostly the card game...I have a deck and everything and play against my son on occasion), crafting, DIY, writing
These are non fanfiction things I would love to receive: Art/podfic of any of my fics (and any kind of art, like moodboards/edits, manips, actual art, video trailers, etc.) would be, like, the best of the best, but generally I would be happy with absolutely anything.
Your recipient has asked that you avoid: Anything angsty, incest in the fandoms I have where it's a thing, non-con/rape and heavy violence. I'm also only fond of smut with a few select ships so probably nothing higher than R rated across the board?

I’ve been tagged by three different ppl so I’mma put all of them together. Long post ahead.
answer the following eleven questions, add eleven questions of my own and tag 11 people.
tagged by @jeffersonjaxson cheers meg meg
1. What was the first fandom you remember being a part of?  Pretty sure it was band-dom. Might have been Simple Plan??? I was an embarrassing teenager.
2. Who would your Dream Team of characters be?  Joan Watson, Kate Kane, James Flint, Andrew Minyard, James Kirk
3. What is your opinion on AUs? It depends on the AU tbh. For the most part, I’m a fan. Some, not to so much.
4. Favourite potential ship. You know the one where one half died or left before they could become a THING, but in your heart they were/should have been. before they become a thing? uhhh, probably timecanary?
5. fave poly ship/ot3s? you know the answer to this - james flint/thomas hamilton/miranda barlow
6. are you the head, heart, or hands? how much do personality tests fit you? the head i think. i pried being logical. also, yeah, most of them fits me for the majority of the time
7. Odd habit or thing you do? lmao i do this thing when my throat hurts that ppl have said sounds like the sound a gecko makes...
8. Favourite Dead Character Miranda Barlow.
9. Fave thing you’ve ever written/giffed/stanned? this jerejean gif, my sidewinder gifs, any of my flint/hamilton gifs. @nickoflahertys and @bcydbeaulieu‘’s header gifs
10. NOTPs goddddddd why meg whyyyy incestuous batfam, any bruce/kids, l/uriver, r/ay p/almer and anyone, v/ne x el/anor i can’t think of anything else right now but there is a list....
11. Hollywood Chris’ ranking i. Chris Pine ii. Colourful suit Chris Pine iii.  Sockless Chris Pine iv. the only chris that matters - Chris Pine   v.  Chris Evans
Tagged by @bisexuallaurellance. Ta Mina xx
1. Put your music on shuffle and give me your favourite lyrics from the first five songs. I’m in the library and i didn’t bring my earphones so i can’t do this )): soz bud
2. how do you feel about kids? I’m indifferent? I’m not a fan but it’s fine.
3. If you could be one fictional character for a day, who would it be and why? James Flint so that I know what it is like to be loved by both Thomas Hamilton and Miranda Barlow.
4. If you could have dinner with any celebrity, alive or dead, who would it be? Celebrity? Chris Pine so that I can ask him what he has against socks
5. At a glance, who is your most popular artist in your music collection (i.e. whose songs do you have the most of)? Probably Panic At the Disco - mostly because Pretty. Odd is one of the albums I will always play on repeat
6. What would be your last meal? Idk. I’ve never really given this much thought if I’m honest with you
7. Favourite toy as a kid? My Tamiya toy car
8. What song fits your favourite character the best? Gay or European for James Flint. IDK where it’s from but someone made a fanvid of it and I haven’t stopped yelling about it.  That and Safe Inside by James Arthur for Zane Garrett. B Y E
9. Ramble about something current affairs related. This is very local and no one outside my country will care but this sudden increase “malay rights” or as i like to call it ‘malay supremacy’. I know it has been happening since the country gained independence and social media has made it even more obvious. But the fact that because the malays are the majority, they think they have the right over everyone else. Like, fuck. you don’t shut the fuck up and sit the fuck down.
10. what fandom discourse makes you angry? all fandom discourse makes me angry
11. what’s your opinion on smut? I’m alright with it. But I’m not really a fan of Porn Without Plot
Tagged by @eliotswaugh. Thanks for the tag, Ana! x
1. What’s the otp that haunts you? Like, we all have sunken otps, but what’s the ship that still haunts you and will always lowkey haunt you because they were so amazing that you will never understand how they didn’t end up together? God damn it Ana. I feel like you’re doing this on purpose. Our OTPs are so tragic. But the fact that Dan/Blair ended so badly will haunt me till my dying breath.
2. What show has Completely Disappointed You? Like, started-out-so-good-how-did-we-end-up-here disappointed you? ahem all of DCTV ahem.
3.  What book has gotten to you? Not necessarily your favorite, but a book that hit you in the feels or made you cry or rethink things in your life or you just genuinely enjoyed? The Man Called Ove by Fedrik Bachmann. It’s not my absolute fave but god the book just got to me.
4. If you could sink one of your otps so that another one of your otps could sail, which 2 would you pick? And why? I would sink Emma/Killian so that Thomas/Grace could sail. Out of all my proper I-was-so-invested-in-this-ship otps, I feel the least connection to Emma and Killian. I think it’s because the whole keeping things from each other to “save” them got so tiring and I wasn’t as invested in it as I was. And Thomas and Grace deserves to be happy together.
5. What’s your IMBED alignment type thing? What does it mean? Explain that shit to me like I’m really dumb cause I’ve never understood it. I don’t know what this is?
6. Favorite book to movie or tv adaptation? ALL OF HBO WAR. B Y E
7. What’s your HP house, who’s your demigod parent and what’s your Game of Thrones house? And do you think this actually says something about your personality? Ravenclaw, uh idk and I can’t remember. Sorry. Not really? I don’t know the Ravenclaw thing, parts of personality fits the house but others not so much.
8. What’s your comfort show? Like, a show you can watch over and over again? Psych. Forever and always.
9. Favorite Queen song?  Somebody to Love.
10. Do you watch any medical shows (like Grey’s Anatomy or something)? What are your thoughts about it? jksladfhdsjafhjkdsafh NO. I have very, very strong feelings about this - and Emily knows all about them (mostly because she is a massive dick and keeps telling me about it and sending me videos and commentary). In saying that I tried watching Chicago Med and I quite liked it. But then the whole relationship issue got boring real fast and so I stopped.
11. Who’s your Best Bisexual and your Best Gay character? Bisexual - god. ZANE ZACHARY GARRETT. I would die for him. I was gonna pick James Flint but I think he’s more pansexual Gay - MAX MAX MAX. Oh my god. Max is such as badass. She started as a prostitute and ended up controlling Nassau. And she doesn’t take shit from ANYONE. I love Max.
My questions: 1. Would you consider watching a show/movie in a language you don’t understand? And have you? If so, what’s your favourite? 2. Three things you’ve bought and regretted.  3. Star Trek or Star Wars. Sherlock or Elementary. If you want, explain why.  4. Who is your favourite 25 and older LGBT+ characters? What book/movie/show are they from and why do you love them? 5. A book that you wish would be turned into a tv show or movie.  6. If we were to move to a different planet because this Earth is dead, would you call it Earth-2? If not, what would you name it?  7. Deep space or the deep sea?  8. Tom Hanks or Tom Cruise? 9. Diversity = representation: thoughts? 10. Why do you think buying things make us feel so happy? 11. Cillian Murphy: real or fake?
Tagging you’re not obligated to answer these questions as usual @nickoflahertys @zanesgarrett @chadwickbose @blackcanarydinah @scottsunmers @chochang @hcourageous @bcydbeaulieu @valjeanmoreaus @ruinsrebuilt @wondertrevz

Rules: Answer the questions in a new post and then tag ten blogs you would like to get to know better.
Finally getting around to this.... Tagged by the fantastic @sorrowsflower . Thank you for tagging me, dear :)
Nickname: Han
Star Sign: Twin crab (born on the Gemini/Cancer cusp)
Height: 5′5″
Time Right Now: 1:24 AM
Favorite Music Artist: I don’t have one? My tastes are too varied to have just one. I like such a broad range of music from like indie to bubblegum pop, musicals to heavy metal. Old school Jazz to rock. The only exception is country. I just don’t like it...it’s not my thing. Rap I’m a little meh on.
Song Stuck In Your Head: I do this thing where I have like several songs stuck in my head and they get mashed into one song comprised of bits and pieces of whatever’s stuck in my head. Right now it's, Paint Me Black by Ben Hazelwood feat. Mali-Koa Hood, Analog Boy by Denim Blue & Miclain Keith, and Kiss The Devil by Bel Heir (such an Adlock song). Come to think of it, they could all be Adlock songs in some way, shape, or form. Paint Me Black is gonna turn up in my ballet AU, I can feel it.
Last TV Show You Watched: The latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy. My mom and I always watch it together, it’s like our thing.
What Are You Wearing Right Now: My Hasa Diga Eebowai shirt I got when I went to see Book of Mormon and black yoga pants.
What Do You Post: Fandom things with an emphasis on Adlock and Irene Adler, Lara Pulver (when I can find them), Hamilton Hell things, and recently a shit ton of political and social activism type posts because the US has completely lost its shit.
Do You Have Any Other Blogs: A completely neglected and failed attempt at a personal blog that’s going to be deleted one of these days. I also run the adlocktober blog.
Why Did You Choose Your URL: Because I’m completely incapable of being original or creative and I love horses. It’s also closer to my AO3 account than ‘-wittyusernamehere-’
Do You Get Asks Regularly: Nope. But I wouldn’t mind, though for the life of me I can’t think of what people would want to know.
Hogwarts House: I too have tried Pottermore several times (I swear to god, I’m not trying to copy you, @sorrowsflower ). Not out of being dissatisfied but out of curiosity to see if I could manipulate it and other times to see if it would continually put me in the same house if I answered true to myself. Ravenclaw is the one I got most often (considering the answer I’m giving, it’s no fucking wonder) and I’m quite proud of my House. If you’re curious, I got Slytherin when I tried to manipulate it into putting me into Hufflepuff and Gryffindor once in testing the continuity.
Pokémon Team: Team Valor
Favourite Colour: It depends on what we’re talking.... Black and greys for clothes. Red for lipstick. Neutrals or bright colors for eye makeup (I have this weakness for aqua eyeliner because of a certain someone). But if you made me choose...black, I guess? Black lipstick is pretty badass. Though I wouldn’t paint my walls black.... Actually, no. I probably would paint my walls black if given the chance. Or one at least.
Average Hours Of Sleep: I have no idea because it’s never friggin consistent. Probably somewhere between 5-10+ hours depending on the day and whether or not I’m sick.
Favourite Characters: Because I don’t already give enough long-winded answers, you have to ask this question. I’m going to keep it to TV Show characters because this list would get ridiculous otherwise.  BBC Sherlock: Irene Adler (duh, you know this), Mycroft Holmes, Eurus Holmes, Jim Moriarty, Mary Morstan-Watson, Sally Donovan, Greg Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson...as for Sherlock...it’s really difficult to explain how I feel about Sherlock.  Elementary: Basically the whole main cast of that one but Joan Watson(Holy shit, sassy Joan gives me life. Lucy Liu just does a great job period) and Jamie Moriarty/Irene Adler especially. Bell and Gregson are pretty fucking great as well. Grey’s Anatomy: Cristina Yang is my friggin hero. I love her so much and I miss her(and Sandra Oh) so friggin much. Alex Karev, Owen Hunt, Chief Weber, Miranda Bailey (although she’s been getting on my nerves lately), Mark Sloan, Maggie Pierce, Addison Montgomery, Lexie Grey, Nathan Riggs, Callie Torres...I’m probably missing someone...I have a love-hate relationship with Derek and Meredith but not as a couple. Totally ship them as a couple.  Fleming: Lady Ann O’Neill(basically any character Lara Pulver plays, Second Officer Monday, Colonel Godfrey Da Vinci’s Demons: Clarice Orsini (though I’m pissed with what they did to her character), Da Vinci, I love Zoroaster’s sass, agreed on Vanessa until they fucked her character up. Guiliano de Medici...again, I’m probably missing someone.... The 100: Pretty much most of the main cast...Bellamy, Octavia, Abby Griffin, Marcus Kane, Lincoln, Indra, Monty, Jasper’s been getting on my nerves, Jaha can go rot in a hole.... Nathan Miller, Raven Reyes, Jackson, Lexa...I’m forgetting characters. Basically all the main characters from Stranger Things This list is long enough and I have way too many shows. You probably haven’t even made it this far.... Thank you if you have :)
How Many Blankets Do You Sleep With: One sheet, one blanket. Sometimes I’ll throw a second over my legs if I’m cold.
Following: 602...I should probably trim that...I was really follow happy when I first joined Tumblr....
Trying not to tag the ones SorrowsFlower has already tagged... @of-dreamers-and-detectives, @captnandycalavera , @musical-chick-13 , @nearlyasgoodasthebook , @battledress , @cat-n-claw , @thestorywelovebest , @herbaliser , @sea-and-thestars , @geekerypeekery and anyone else that wants to join in, I’d love to get to know my followers better so just say I tagged you! But no pressure :)

Kane gets Kidnapped 😈
Master list
Previous chapter
Synopsis: Kane wakes up in the Backrooms. This chapter is entirely location establishment.
CW: tied up, immolation (past), threat of death, language
Kane's head throbbed. His stomach twisted in pain.
The smell of that incredible blood was oh so close.
He opened his eyes,
And stared into a massive, golden face.
"What the fu-" He tried to cry and leap back. But his jaw was tightly sealed with duct tape. His limbs creaked against his bindings.
The massive head swiveled to the left. The gold ended right at its hairline where the skin was puckered and red around the edges.
The mask had been burned into the giants face.
"Welcome back,"
Kane followed the giants gaze to the source of the voice. His jaw would have dropped if it could.
The girl he had tried- and failed- to kidnap stood in the doorway. Except now she had extra eyes. Four of them, situated above and below the corners of her normal eyes.
They all focused on him.
"We are in what is called The Backrooms. All kinds of creatures live here, so for now, it is in your best interest to remain quiet. Understood?"
He couldn't have made a sound if he wanted to. Kane just glared at her.
"Hm," Her gaze swept him up and down before she stepped behind the giant- he had fucking wings. Massive pure white wings that folded neatly against its back and sides.
Kane remembered the massive shadow that fell over him and shuddered. No wonder the girl had been unfazed by his attack. This thing was watching her.
The girl stepped back into his line of sight and his heart dropped. She was holding a wooden staff longer than she was tall. The end sharpened into an unmistakable point.
"Let's go."
The giant stood. The next thing Kane knew the world spun as the chair was lifted up. He was pinned tightly between a powerful wing and the giants side. The creature holding him from underneath by the seat.
He could feel it's muscles moving through the shirt. They felt as solid as steel.
There was the hiss of several hydraulic doors opening. Where had they taken him?
Then the light filtering through the feathers changed. They became a muted yellow, accompanied by an everpresent, droning buzz.
Kane found himself starting to feel somewhat numb as the buzz went on. As the giant made several turns and at one point ducked into a flight of steps. Clearing it in two strides.
Then without warning it dropped his chair. Kane was brushed by its feathers,
And then it was gone. He was sitting in a massive yellow wallpapered yellow carpeted hallway. With walls crisscrossing at several different angles like a maze.
The girl stood a foot next to him, with her arm wrapped around the stake. Her hands were gripping an ornate broad sword at her other side. Had she always had that?
Wuoh-woo-BUAOOOOOO-CRACK. Thump.
The tense silence was filled by the buzz.
The giant returned, scooped up the girl in one arm, grabbed Kane in the other, then ran.
The world became a blur of yellow. Something screeched at them at one point. The giant jumped through the floor at another. It crashed headfirst through walls and doors and actually flew over a steel walled chasm.
A chasm that stretched down and down and down.
Where the hell is this place? It's impossible.
Then the world was yellow again. The giant turned multiple times, then unceremoniously dumped Kane and the girl on the floor.
When he got his bearings he realized he was staring at several curves carved into the moldy smelling carpet. Strange orange, silver, and pink markings covered the walls.
"Okay well, that wound up being the long way around. The creatures here really are no joke. Alley oop."
Kane's chair was lifted upright and pivoted so it was facing another chair and a white back set against the wall. The young woman stepped back into view and looked him over. She picked out a large white feather that got stuck in his hair.
"Okay, now for a proper introduction. My name is Joan, daughter of Sanguinius, Primarch of the Blood Angels. I have some specific questions to ask you, and your answers determine if you leave this room alive." She twirled the feather between her fingers. Backing towards the other chair. "Because of that, this room has been warded for both our protection. More importantly, it has been warded to compell you to tell the truth. So don't try to lie, you'll only hurt yourself." She cocked her head. "Understood?"
You fucking-son-of-a-
"Good, good. I'm going to take the tape off now. Let's start with your name and age yeah?"
