CW: Heavy flirtation, canon divergence (S4 end events didn't happen), College Student!Steve, Steve has shit eyesight
October 13th, 1989
Steve sighs, leaning back on the drivers side of his 1983 BMW. Burgundy paint starting to chip on the hood, the car becoming less appealing day by day. Girls passing by not even looking in his direction anymore. He was old news in Hawkins after people found out he had finally started at a college half an hour away in Fort Wayne. Just starting his life like everyone else did 4 years ago just wasn't appealing to most girls.
At least not Hawkins girls.
But at this point he didn't care. He was proud of himself for pulling his life together after all the bullshit he had been put through. With saving an entire town too many god damn times. Cutting his dad off when his parents divorced. Moving out to get a rented house with his best friend Robin. Just what he learned he needed over time.
Getting into a good school by himself with no help was just a cherry on top of the fuck you sundae he graciously served his past problems.
He was satisfied with what he had right now.
Dustin walks out of the new game shop in the newest strip mall to grace Hawkins. Steve looks up, pushing his Ray-Ban sunglasses onto his head.
"You made it out before, Robin. I'm surprised." Dustin glanced at the instrument shop a few doors down, then back to Steve. "You get what Eddie needed?"
"Mostly yeah. She's still getting her trumpet fixed?" Steve shrugs at Dustin's question and slides his sunglasses down in place again.
"She probably got distracted looking at something shiny and new. You know Robins crow brain sometimes." Dustin laughs, looking into his bag, shuffling a few things around inside.
Steve looked over at the liquor store at the end of the strip mall. Looking back at Dustin, he taps the top of the car. His head snapped up, eyes a bit surprised at the sudden noise.
"You want anything?" Steve asks, tilting his head back towards the store.
"Coke? If they got it." Dustin simply replied before getting in the back seat. Steve nods and walks to the liquor store.
The bell chimes over his head as he walks through the door. He takes in the warmth of the store and the radio playing over the speakers on the ceiling. Such a nice contrast to the crisp Autumn air outside.
He turns heading down an isle of assorted liquor bottles and bar accessories before finally stopping at the fridge. Humming along to the song over the radio, mumbling the lyrics to 'I wanna know what love is' absentmindedly.
Sliding his glasses down his nose, he squints at the selection. All the labels are blurry the farther he is, he steps forward rubbing his eyes and sure doesn't help with the florescent lighting blinding him from above.
God I need to get my eyes checked.
Opening the fridge, he grabs the 3 soft drinks and a 6-pack for later when he hears a metal scrapping and whoosh next to him. Followed by a muffled but panicked "Shit!"
Looking over, he sees the back of a squatting woman struggling with a metal shelf slipping out of one of the fridges.
Walking over, he quickly puts his things down and pushes the shelf back in. The metal shelf, cold against his warm skin as he reaches into the fridge, fixing the fasteners back into place.
An issue he's all too familiar with working at Family Video. The fridge racks always got loose and every time it happened he was always made to clean them up. He could only imagine the mess a bunch of glasses and beer would have made.
"Thank you so much!" The woman speaks as Steve stands up, slowly closing the door. Looking back, he finally sees your face. His lips slightly part as you continue talking, he can't hear a word you're saying right now.
All he can hear is the very oddly convenient Foreigner song playing over the store radio as he takes in every detail of your gorgeous face. From your shiny hair to your bright smile. The vibrant colored nail polish on your fingers you're waving as you talk. You're unfamiliar, he's never seen you before, but you're an absolute stunner of a woman.
Steve never thought of himself as a love at first sight kind of guy. But right now he was undoubtedly being proven wrong by the spark he was feeling, not to mention the nervous knot in his stomach.
"But really you're a life saver... Thank you." You stop talking, looking at him. Your face falls as he perks up, realizing he's just been staring like a complete idiot this entire time.
"You're welcome!" He spoke, choking almost over how inappropriately loud he was for a second. Feeling the effect of not talking to women for a while really hit him. You look down at his soon-to-be purchases.
"Full Sail Amber. Good beer." You comment, making him look at the floor and nod.
Crouching down, he grabs his things and stands cracking his head on one of the fridge door handles. His sunglasses fell off his face and onto the floor. He stands up wedging his soft drink between his side and arm. Rubbing his head with a hiss.
"You okay?" You ask with a slight chuckle. Bending down, you grab the sunglasses, Steve moves his hand, grabbing the bottom of the door handle to shield your head from injury.
"Yeah, thanks." Before he gets to put his hand out to take his Ray-Bans back, you slide them on his head with a soft smile.
God she's so fucking pretty.
"You're welcome. And thanks again for... Saving me from paying for a full shelf of beer." She turned down the isle to another part of the store.
Part of Steve wants to follow you and try chatting you up, but the slight embarrassment of hurting his head just keeps him from doing so.
He turns, goes to the front of the store and makes his purchases. Heading outside, he walks to his car, finally seeing Robin in her usual spot, the passenger seat. Opening the driver's door, he slips in.
"There you are!" Robin looked at him, her trumpet case in-between her legs on the floor of the car.
"What's with the face?" Dustin asks, Steve looking at him in the rearview, glaring.
"Shut up Henderson." He hands them their sodas, moving to close his car door when he hears the bell from the liquor store chime.
Out you walk, starting across the parking lot to a top-down red 86' Volkswagen Cabriolet. Steve freezes, staring again. He really can't help but stare.
"Oooh." Robin and Dustin both taunt him, making him sigh. He needs more friends, fewer annoying friends.
"She's pretty." Robin says looking at Dustin.
"Too pretty to talk to, apparently." Dustin adds, laughing as he looks back at Steve.
"I talked to her in the store." Dustin raised his eyebrows, pushing his baseball cap up a bit.
"You asked her out?"
"No." Steve watches you load your bag into the back seat and start pulling the top up on your car.
"Not too late!" Robin smiled, taking a sip of her drink. Dustin looked at her.
"He's not gonna do it."
"No, he's gonna do it."
Steve feels like he has a devil and an angel bickering on his shoulders right now. His foot meets the new asphalt of the parking lot as you open your driver's door.
He's quickly out of the driver's seat.
"Holy shit he's doing it." Dustin comments as he shuts the door on them.
He stops at the bumper of his car, hearing your car engine click over. Music pours out of your open windows before you turn it down quickly.
The universe is screaming at him to talk to you when he starts hearing that familiar Tears for Fears song, 'Head Over Heels'.
Please don't pull away, please don't pull away.
He nearly sprints across the parking lot out of fear of missing his chance. Upon reaching the car, he knocks on the back window, pulling you from looking for something in the console.
"Hi..." He says awkwardly, approaching the window. Leaning on the door, he smiles as you smile back.
"Hi. You need something?" He gets so agitated that you smirk up at him.
'Why'd you have to be so God damn pretty?'
"Sorry if this is weird, but I had to talk to you." He started, finally being able to say something. Your eyes go half shut with a soft nod.
"Talk to me?" He nods, clenching the door frame for a second. "Go ahead then. Talk."
His eyes go wide in surprise at your sudden confidence. Steve stammered for a second.
"Uh... At the risk of sounding crazy or desperate... You're probably the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life." You can feel your body warm up as he gives the most genuine smile you've seen on a man in a while.
"Mmhm, go on."
"Are you by chance single? Or like... Are you even attracted to men at all?" He asks, sheepishly smiling.
"Yes, and yes." Your smirk slowly turns into a grin as he squats to eye level now, feeling a bit more confident after your answer.
"I'm Steve, by the way. Steve Harrington." He smiles again hearing you reply with your name. "Are you new to Hawkins?"
"I am actually. I just moved here from the city and needed to stay nearby for school."
"Where are you going?"
"Trine University." His eyes go wide, the same school he goes to. What are the odds?
"Really? I actually go there too. Education major." You look him up and down. You never pegged him for the teacher type.
"Software Engineering major."
"So you're smart and gorgeous. Good to know." He smirks, finally feeling like himself when talking as your flush finally becomes noticeable. "You like movies?"
"What kind of psychopath doesn't like movies?" He laughs at your response, leaning in closer to the window.
"Lemme be more specific. The new Halloween 5 movie came out today. You interested in seeing it? Maybe with me tonight at the drive-in theater in Lafayette. We can have dinner after. All my treat, of course." He can see the sparkle in your eyes, that spark he felt looking at you before is still lingering around him.
"What's in it for me?" You playfully ask. He cocks his head to the side, leaning it on his arm for a second.
"A fun night out with a gentleman, I promise I'm fun." You chuckle, rolling your eyes, he knows you want to say yes. "Please?"
He'd never said please before when asking a girl out. It didn't feel embarrassing like he thought it would. You turn your attention back to the console looking for something.
Pulling out a napkin and pen, you quickly write down your number and address. Turning back, you hold it out to him as he takes it.
"I'm free at 8. And dress nicely. You're taking me somewhere decent after the movie."
"I'll take you to the most expensive restaurant I can find if that's what you want. I don't care. As long as I get to see you again." You laugh at his bluntness, it's like music to his ears.
"That won't be necessary. I don't need to be spoiled."
"What if I want to spoil you?" That caught you off guard as you didn't respond right away. He let a soft breath escape his mouth. "You like roses?"
"White roses." You reply, he nods, standing up again and folding the napkin, storing it in his back jean pocket for safe keeping.
"I'll be sure to remember that." You two just stare at each other in silence for a minute. No man's ever looked at you like Steve has right now, it makes your heart race from nervousness.
"I'll see you at 8 o'clock then." You look past him for a moment and back to him. "Tell your friends I said hello since they like to stare so much."
Raising an eyebrow, Steve turned his head. He sees Robin poking her head over the roof of the car and Dustin sitting on the rolled down window frame. They quickly hurry back into the car, noticing they've been caught. He should be embarrassed, but he fully expects their behavior from being friends for so long.
"Ignore them." Steve says, sighing as he looks back at you. "I'll see you at 8."
He turned away towards his car, trying to stay as confident as he was before turning his back. Reaching his car, he pops the door open, clutching it for dear life as he silently collects himself. Robin poked her head across the driver's seat to look up at him.
"You good dude?" She asks, concerned but also excited as he just nods.
You pull out of your parking spot, stopping behind his car and honk once to get his attention. Dustin pops his head out the back window as Robin looks out her open door. Steves head snaps up at you as you lean on your window frame, chin on fist with the most shit eating grin on your face.
"See you at 8 sexy~" You called to him. And then you have the balls to blow him a kiss before peeling out of the parking lot.
Steve silently gets in the car. Robin shuts her door as Steve does his. Dustin sits forward looking at Steve, who's just gripping his steering wheel, the adrenaline starting to wear off.
"Dude, she's so into you, into you!" Dustin breaks the silence as Robin nods.
"And I'd say it's the same for Harrington here." Robin grins as a massive smile spreads across Steve's face.
He starts excitedly thrashing frontwards and backwards. Enough to shake the car and look like he's about to rip the steering wheel from it's column. He lets out an excited yell, causing his two friends to laugh at him.
He let out a long breath, looking at them.
"She says hi by the way."

HOST: Here they are, everyone! The winner of Too Hot To Handle season 3! [Applauds]
YOU: [Squeals] Hi! HAN: [Waves hand]
HOST: First, congratulations on winning Too Hot To Handle. I literally jumped on my seat when you were announced winners. What have you done with the money?
HAN: I spoiled my family with the money and shortly, after the retreat, we also took a vacation to celebrate our win [grins]
HOST: How about you, my darling?
YOU: The same for me. I treated my mom to a shopping spree and went out with some friends.
HOST: Honestly guys, I was genuinely happy for you both when Han, you asked her to be your girlfriend.
HAN: I owe that one to her, actually.
YOU: No, really. The way you've done it was just perfect [smiles]
HAN: She thought I was joking though [chuckles]
YOU: Obviously, because we joked around a lot and we talked about things then suddenly he asked me to be his girlfriend so I was like what? And he was like 'I'm serious' and my eyes got teary a bit [laughs]
YOU: It was lovely [smiles]
HOST: I'm holding myself back from asking this question but I think we all want to know if you are still together.
HAN: [Laughs]
YOU: [Laughs] No, we're not.
HOST: [Frowns] How did it end? What happened? Talk to me, guys.
YOU: We got used to each other, we always had each other and were with each other every day during the retreat, and then suddenly, nothing at all.
HAN: Yeah.
YOU: It was just really hard but we stayed in contact. We still text each other every other day, FaceTime.
HAN: Yeah [Nods]
YOU: And we're still close, it's still us [Smiles]
HOST: Flabbergasted. Completely flabbergasted. It's almost like... you started as friends, developed and blossomed, got in a relationship and you guys went on a vacation together then... you guys become friends again?
HAN: Yeah [laughs]
YOU: [Laughs]
HOST: Is it completely dead though? Cause I still can see the chemistry there, I'm not going to lie. Han close your ears because I'm going to ask the girl first.
HAN: [Covers ears]
HOST: My darling, will you ever get back with Han
YOU: [Sheepishly smiles] I don't know. I haven't been dating in a long time so you never know what could happen.
HOST: Okay girl, now it's your turn to cover your ears.
YOU: Okay [covers ears]
HOST: Han, will you ever get back with her?HAN: Can't say anything [chuckles] because I haven't seen her in a while but who knows? [Shrugs]
HAN: But we shared such an incredible journey and we'll always be able to celebrate that so who knows, really.
HOST: Well, I think you guys are well-deserved winners.
HAN: Thank you!
HOST: Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me.
YOU: Thank you. Bye [blows kisses]
HAN: [Waves hand]

A MONTH LATER
Maybe it is what it seems to be.
Han invited you to see him performing and that's all, you shouldn't be overthinking it. It's just a friendly gesture because that's what you are now, just a friend to him.
Why you dressed nicely is because you wanted to look good and why you're nervous is because you haven't seen him in a while, these are all reasonable.
You arrived at the bar where he's going to perform a few minutes late, not sure what to do first, get a drink or try to find him first?
Since you need a little liquor courage, you head to the bar to order a drink and on the way there, you walk past the way to the restroom and it gets you wondering if you should check for your appearance first.
There you go, you overthinking it again. You get a hold of yourself and go with your initial plan to get a drink first. The bartender is busy tending to the other customers so you have time to pick your concoction, rubbing your lips as you think hard over drinks.
After a while, the bartender finally comes to take your order and you haven't settled on a drink yet.
"I'd have uhm... a vodka soda," you settle on a drink.
"You only drink Cosmopolitan on a vacation, huh?" Someone says.
You turn on your feet to see that it's him, Han. He looks the same yet different at the same time, but you can't quite put a finger on what makes him different.
"You came!" He says with a bright smile.
"Like I wouldn't miss the chance to see you embarrass yourself on stage," you jokingly say, welcoming him for a hug.
He puts his arms around you and gives you a tight hug, along with a kiss on your cheek. He then slowly pulls away but keeps his hand resting on the small of your back.
"Your drink is here," he tells you.
"Thank you," you quickly mutter to the bartender.
As you take a sip of your drink, you notice that his hair is longer and somehow, it's making him cuter than he already is.
"Your hair," you point out.
He reaches for it and gives it a quick ruffle, "I permed it. Do you like it?"
It's endearing that he still asks for your opinion, you nod and say, "Yeah. I like it."
Then you have another look at him, paying attention to how he dressed tonight in blue jeans and a black shirt that loosely hangs on his broad shoulders, this ensemble with the permed hair gives him that edge. Also, reminds you of someone.
"Hate to tell you that you'll never be Asher," you joke to him.
"Ouch!" He gasps with his hand clutching his chest.
With his hand that still lingers on your back, he's pulling you to the side to avoid people passing by.
"I'll never be as cool as him," he meekly says.
You place your hand on his forearm and look at him, "And Asher will never be as cute as you," you say with a flirtatious eyebrow raise.
He drops his hand to catch yours in his and holds it, "Glad to know I'm still the cutest."
Cute guys are your weakness and Han with his gummy smile is going to send you to your death. Maybe you were right to overthinking it, maybe it's more than just an invitation to see him perform, maybe there's... something else.
"Two shots, please?" He orders to the bartender.
The bartender comes with the drinks right away, serving two shots on a small tray and slides it across the counter at Han.
"Double shots, huh?" You say as you notice his drinks.
"The other one is for you," he simply says, putting a glass into your hand.
"But I–I already have a drink," you stammer, quickly putting down your other drink on the counter.
"Oh, come on! You're not going to let me have a shot by myself," he grumbles, linking his arm around you by the elbow for a love shot.
You have no other option but to cave in, better get it over with before anyone in the bar notices what the two of you are doing.
"I hope you break a leg," you mutter as a toast.
"Figuratively," he adds with a grin.
Signaling each other through eyes, you both tilt your heads as you take the shots in one go and gasp from the bitter aftertaste almost at the same time.
"I needed that," Han says as he takes a sip of your drink to help wash it down.
Someone from the other side of the bar is calling for him and Han raises his hand to let him know that he heard him. He turns back at you and awkwardly smiles, "I have to go to do uh... soundcheck," he says.
"Yeah, you should go," you coyly say but you're reluctant to let his hand go.
He looks at you with glints in his eyes, reminding you of what the two of you had been and could have been if you stayed together after taking that vacation together.
"Uhm... I hope you endure the whole time I'm on that stage," he playfully says.
"Don't worry. I'll be booing loudly for you," you joke.
"I'll see you later, yeah?"
You nod with a smile on your face.
He pulls you close before finally letting go of your hand and turns away, heading toward the stage until he disappears behind the big curtain.
Knowing that the performance is about to start, the crowd moving toward the stage and leaving the stools around the counter unoccupied, you waste no time sitting on one.
"Am I late?" Someone says.
You thought you were hearing a stranger's conversation until you feel a hand on your shoulder and you turn your head to the side to see a familiar face.
"Oh, my God! Avery?" You gasp in surprise.
Avery's smile hasn't changed a bit, it's bright and warm, so welcoming. She doesn't hesitate to throw her arms around you and pulls you into an ecstatic hug.
Once you pull away from the hug, you immediately take a step back to take a good look at her and her appearance doesn't change much except that her hair is now in a shade of lighter blond.
"It's unfair that you're only getting more beautiful and here I am..." you sigh in sheer envy and a fake snide smile.
"No..." she hastily denies with her Australian accent and holds both of your hands in hers, "You look amazing!"
"Even if you're lying, I'd still believe you," you jokingly say.
"I'm being honest!" She assures you.
"Are you meeting someone in here or...?"
"Han didn't tell you I was coming? Oh, that guy," she sighs with an adorable pout.
For what other reason did she come here, unless it was coincidental, then it means Han invited her too. Your heart sank and you blame yourself for having your hopes up, there's nothing else here but a friendly gathering.
"How are you?" Avery asks.
"I'm great," you shortly reply, "What about you?"
You quickly put on a smile and answer all of her questions, asking the same thing back to catch up on things.
"Let's get you a drink, shall we?" you say since you also need a refill then you raise your hand to get the bartender's attention.
"Appletini, please?" She tells the bartender her drink order and then fixes her hair which is flowing down her back in soft waves.
Avery is effortlessly beautiful, the kind of girl who doesn't need to try hard to look that good, and the guy standing next to her who's been staring at her nonstop is proof of it.
"So where is the charming guy?" She asks, turning on her seat facing you.
You reckon what she means as the charming guy is Han and he'd be jumping in joy if he knew Avery called him a charming guy.
"He got called to the backstage. I think it's about to start any minute now," you answer.
Avery finally notices the guy who's been ogling at her and flashes him a smile, just enough to make him go berserk. She giggles in reaction and turns her attention back to you.
"Watches the reunion show and bummed to know that you guys broke up," Avery says.
A moment later, she suddenly grabs your elbow, "Please tell me that you guys played a prank on us and still secretly dating each other!"
You awkwardly chuckle and mindlessly stir your drink with your straw, "Trust me, if we were still dating, I wouldn't let him invite you tonight," you half-jokingly say.
Avery almost chokes on her drink hearing that, she gently wipes her mouth with a napkin and tries not to ruin her glossy lips. She opens her mouth to say something but someone checks the mic on the stage, causing a high-pitched feedback that echoes in the room.
Not long after the MC introduces the list of performers for tonight, Han finally enters the spotlight and slings his guitar strap around him, he says a few things to everyone in the room before starts playing his guitar.
Before this, you've only seen him performing through videos so that makes this the first time you watch him live and it's a whole different experience. You get to hear him sing, hear every strum of his guitar and if you ignore the other people in the room, you're also sharing this moment with him.
Another thing that makes it different is the subtle eye contact he's making at you and there is a chance that he may be looking at someone else, but delusional or not, you get that fluttering feeling.
It's the way he's immersed himself in his singing, the way he stands so nonchalantly yet oozing with charisma, the way he engages with everyone in the room, the way his hand grips the neck of the guitar that reminds you—
Before your mind wanders too far off, you take a big gulp of your drink and you wince at how the alcohol burns the back of your throat.
"Oh, my God! He's so cool," Avery says with her vivacious smile.
You almost forgot her presence and the fact that she's the girl Han initially crushed on, and probably still crushing on. It won't be a surprise if that's also the reason why he invited her.
"Yeah, he's cool," you say back and take another gulp of your drink.
You hate to hate Avery because she doesn't deserve the hate in the first place so you try not to let your negative thoughts get in the way of your friendship, especially over a boy.
In the last song, Han plays one of his songs that you know by heart. You sing along to his singing and notice that Avery is also doing the same, you put your arm around her to sing it out loud together against the loud crowd in the bar.
-
The crowd scatters around as they wait for the next performer while you stay where you are with Avery, waiting for Han with another round of drinks. As you laugh over Avery's joke, he finally appears in your line of sight, sucking on a bottle of water.
Avery turns around on her stool to see him and immediately jumps down to give him a hug, "That was incredible, Han!"
"Thank you!" Han awkwardly says, a little surprised by her hug.
You've been with Han long enough to know what the big grin on his face means and it means he doesn't mind any of that.
"And what do you think?" He asks you.
"That was really great!" You genuinely compliment him with a smile.
He brightly smiles and then brushes his damp hair to the back, exposing the sheen of sweat covering his forehead. You hurriedly take a napkin from the bartender's counter but Avery gets ahead of you.
All of sudden, Avery links her arm with Han then links her other arm with yours which forces you to get off your stool.
"You know what, guys? Drinks on me tonight," she says with a sly smile on her face.
"Are we celebrating something?" You curiously ask.
She looks at you with a pout, "I'm just so happy to see you guys," she simply answers.
You feel bad for asking and feel bad for letting her treat you when you should be the one treating her, you won the prize money after all.
"And I want to get you two drunk," she adds with a devilish laugh.
"That's a great idea! I'm in," Han agrees but he's looking at you as if he seeks your approval.
Eventually, the two team up and begin making puppy eyes at you, making it hard for you to say no to them. You don't like getting drunk, it's the queasy feeling, the headache, the getting home, and the hangover. However, there's always an exception and tonight is one of them.
You lowly sigh because you'll regret it tomorrow, then say, "I say let's get wasted."
-
Avery takes you to a different bar a few blocks away from the previous one and her friend already has a table reserved for all of you. Apparently, this bar is quite popular and that explains why it's so crowded, and you hate being in a crowded place like this.
Thankfully, the table is on the quieter side of the bar. You take your jacket off before sitting on the sofa that faces each other with an elegant-looking glass table in the middle and it seems like Han is about to sit next to you but Avery's friend claimed it first.
"I'm Lucky," he introduces himself to you right away.
"Oh, are you?" You teasingly say with a sly grin.
Lucky laughs and does it attractively with eyes full of crinkles, "Well, I met you so I guess I am," he teases you back.
The whole time, Avery leads the conversation and always tries to get you involved in it. Then it hits you why guys like her, not only she's beautiful, but she knows how to keep people engaged either with eye contact or a slight touch, and she just knows how to keep things fun for everyone, those are things that can't be taught, she was born with it.
"My friend here is cute, isn't she?" Avery asks her guy friend.
Lucky looks at you while you're sipping your drink and the ice cubes hit your lips. You force on a smile as you wipe your cold and wet lips.
"An absolute lush to be honest," he says with a seductive smile.
And you can say the same thing about Lucky, he's tall, with dirty blond hair and tattooed hands, and he also has those stunning light blue eyes. Maybe it's the alcohol that makes you feel like teasing him back.
"You're not so bad yourself," you jokingly say.
Avery laughs in amusement, enjoying the exchange between you and him. She refills everyone's glasses with more drinks while talking at the same time.
"The best part is she's single," Avery says.
Your eyes somehow dart to Han and you find his eyes are on you too, for a second, you both stare at each other until Lucky slowly leans in, getting Han out of your sight.
"Are you ready to mingle though?" He asks with a half-smirk that looks good on his angular face.
You prop a hand under your chin and pretend to think for a moment, then slowly turn your head his way to say, "Why don't you find out?"
The next thing you know, you're on the floor dancing with him and you don't even anxious about being in the crowd because you're busy enjoying yourself. However, constantly moving your body in not so much space gets you hot, you can feel a sheen of sweat forming on your back as you keep dancing.
"I need to go to the restroom," you whisper right into Lucky's ear as it is the only way he can hear you against the blaring music.
Following the sign, you push through the sea of people and head to the hallway that leads to the restroom. You take a moment to cool down, fixing your hair and tapping the back of your sweaty neck with cold water.
You take another look at yourself in the mirror before going out of the door. On the way back to the floor you catch Avery in the corner with someone, well, it doesn't make sense if anyone is not attracted to her until you identify that someone and it's Han.
They're standing facing each other and leaning in close whenever they talk, Avery laughs a few times while Han is continuously talking into her ear.
Knowing their history, it shouldn't surprise you that Han is probably still crushing on her. Again, Avery is undeniably attractive and you're just... you, so you understand that getting over his crush is not easy.
You shouldn't take this personally because he is not in a relationship with you. However, you've been getting this sinking feeling in your chest every time you see them together and it intensifies when you're watching them talking so close to each other.
Before either of them notices you, you make a turn to your booth and immediately collect your jacket and bag, you finish your glass of drink quickly and wince as it burns your throat.
"Hey, I've been looking for you," Lucky says.
You wipe your wet upper lip from drinking and force on a smile, "You know what, I just realized I have this... uh thing to do tonight," you made up something on the spot.
Lucky lets out an awkward chuckle, "All of a sudden?"
You put your jacket on first before answering, "Yeah, I... I have to go," you stammer.
"Like right now?" He asks with a perplexed expression.
"Yes," you hastily reply, grabbing the strap of your bag as you walk away.
You don't even know why you're in such a hurry that you forget your manner, you abruptly stop walking and turn around.
"It was nice meeting you, Lucky," you say with a smile.
You manage to not bump into Avery or Han on your way out, it's better that way. You plan on sending a text to Avery explaining your disappearance once you get on a taxi home.
You aggressively wave your hand to hail a taxi, wanting to get on one soon before any of them catch you leaving without saying anything.
Not long after, a taxi stops on the side of the road and you waste not another second to get into the backseat. As you're about to close the door, someone rushes in and sits next to you.
You roll your eyes once you realize who it is, "Why are you here?"
Han reclines on his seat and massages the bridge of his nose, "I think I'm drunk," he meekly answers.
First thing first, no drunk person is aware that they're drunk which means he's lying. You scoff as he keeps pretending to be drunk.
"Where to?" The taxi driver asks.
Since he's already inside the taxi, you can't force him to get off or even have the heart to push him out of the door so you decide to let it slide, then tell the driver where to go.
The whole taxi ride, you keep your arms crossed in front of you and look out of the window as the taxi glides through the city streets.
When you arrive, you hand the fare to the driver and get out of the taxi, all the while you're acting like Han isn't there. It doesn't take long for him to follow you out of the taxi and chase after you as you enter your apartment building.
"Why did you leave me?" He asks as he trails behind you.
"Obviously, you're not drunk and you can take care of yourself," you answer, starting to climb the stairs to get to the fourth floor.
"Why are you mad when you were the one leaving without telling me?" He asks again, also climbing the stairs two steps behind you.
"I have other things to do," you simply answer even though the other things you have to do are get home and sleep.
"You're lying," he says with a sigh.
"And you lied about being drunk too," you coyly say back.
That seems to shut him up for good but hearing the silence in reply makes you uneasy, you look over your shoulder to see him standing in the middle of the stairs looking up at you.
"I'm sorry I lied," he sincerely says.
That face... looking at that face makes you the slightest bit melting inside but you remain firm even though you're not sure with the reason why you're mad at him.
"Just go home," you tell him and continue walking up the last flight of stairs to your floor.
You start rummaging through your bag, searching for your keys inside as you walk to the door and are aware that Han is still following you.
"Can we talk?" He meekly asks.
"About what?"
"About everything," he answers.
"Well, I don't think we have the time to talk about everything," you detect the jingling sound of your keys and search for it with your hand without looking.
"About us?" He asks.
You let out a chuckle at that, "There's no 'us' to begin with."
After a minute of searching in the abyss that is your bag, you manage to successfully get it out and unlock the door to your apartment.
"Why are you like this?" He asks, his eyes wistfully looking at you.
To be honest, you have no idea either. You were so excited for tonight yet somehow, your mood significantly changed at the end of the night.
"All I wanted is to talk to you. Actually, that's what I've been trying to do the whole night."
You take your keys back and hold them, turning on your feet to face him, "If you wanted to talk to me, then why you brought someone else?"
This is your first mistake tonight, letting him know that you're upset about him inviting Avery. In your defense, you wouldn't be like this if he told you beforehand that his ultimate crush would be there too.
"So that's what this about? Avery?" He says with a sigh.
Han catches you clam up so there's no way of denying it, you turn the knob and push the door open, he stands in the doorway to keep you from closing it.
"I indeed invited her but it wasn't because I still like her or whatever it is you thought," he tells you.
You give him the chance to explain himself and stare at him, this way you can tell whether he's lying or telling the truth.
"And why is that?"
Han sighs, he then roughly brushes his permed hair, making it messier than before and you hate that he looks this good when you're mad at him.
"She was supposed to help me talk to you about something. But instead, she introduced you to this lucky guy," he says with a spiteful tone.
"Help you with what?" You curiously ask and urge him to answer by intensely glaring at him.
He bites his lower lip and sighs again, "Getting back together with you."
Everything you knew is far different from the reality of it and you almost let out a laugh at this newly acquired information. The whole thing is endearing yet annoying at the same time, you can't decide how to react to it
"Instead of doing that, she sets you up with Lucky," he cutely grumbles with his small mouth almost forming a pout.
"So you're jealous?" You coyly ask.
"Isn't it obvious?" He shortly answers with his mouth curling into a snarl.
He leans the side of his body against the doorway and looks at you, "So are you."
"What?" You defensively ask.
"You're jealous of Avery," he replies with a grin.
"No, I'm not," you deny with your foot slowly taking a step to the back.
"You lied again," he says with a pout.
"I'm not," you deny again while nervously chuckling.
Han boldly takes a step inside and closes the door behind him, he then stands with his back resting against the door just looking at you.
There's no one else in the room except you and him, it'd be less embarrassing to tell the truth. You swallow air and slowly exhale.
"Yeah, okay, I'm jealous," you finally admit.
A smile rises on his face and it grows wider as he comes closer. He only stops with a few inches of space between your bodies, then he leans in to softly whisper, "I know."
In reaction, you turn your head his way only to allow him to easily crash his lips against yours. He puts his arms around you as he deepens the kiss, a kiss that makes you dizzy and almost lose your footing.
You would be lying if you didn't miss his kiss, as a matter of fact, you do, you terribly do.
"Guess Lucky isn't that lucky tonight," he pulls away from the kiss only to say that with a shit-eating grin on his face.
As he's about to kiss you again, you dodge away and lightly chuckle.
"And you think you're lucky?" You teasingly ask, then gently push him away.
He hurriedly pulls you closer and tightens his hold around you, "I am."
You shake your head in disagreement, "I don't think so."
He hastily kisses your open mouth and then presses his mouth close to your ear, "You're about to get lucky too."
Without warning, he lifts you off the ground and steers your body toward the bedroom all the while both of your lips are locked in a rapturous kiss.
-
Han is too impatient. He doesn't even bother to take your dress off first, his hand goes under and pushes the hem up, making the dress hunches around your waist.
You let out a sharp gasp the second his hot mouth makes contact with your sex and out of reflex, your legs are clamping his head in between.
Thankfully, his arms are steadily keeping your legs open as his greedy mouth alternates between licking and sucking on your cunt, and a moment later, combining it with his two fingers pumping in and out of you.
It doesn't take long for him to sync those stimulations together to give you the utmost pleasure. If there's anything different about him from the last time you met him is how he's getting better at giving you head, he gets you squirming and moaning non-stop.
"Oh, my— Oh!" you loudly moan against the silence in the room.
Your hands are constantly crumpling the sheet underneath you with your back arched and your waist lifted off the bed.
Han abruptly stops and lifts his head to look at you, "What is it? I can't hear you with your legs around my head," he innocently asks with his mouth glistening wet with your essence.
"Just keep going," you breathlessly say, pushing his head down between your legs again.
He obeys your words, tirelessly pleasing you with his mouth and taking you closer and closer to your release while you're tugging at his hair harder as the pleasure intensifies in each passing second.
When you finally reach your high, you accidentally shut your legs together with his head caught in between. He slowly parts your legs open but keeps them around him, watching you riding down from your high while softly kissing your inner thighs.
After a while, he comes up and hovers above you. You eagerly pull him down, letting him lay himself on top of you. You can taste yourself on him as you kiss him, on his lips, his tongue, and around his mouth.
While your lips are busy lathering his, your hands are roughly pulling at his t-shirt, helplessly trying to get it off of him. He reluctantly lets go of the kiss to do that for you and you shift your focus on unbuckling his belt next.
It's your turn to be impatient, shoving your hand inside his boxer the second you successfully unzip his fly open. You palm his semi-hard cock and slowly stroking it in your hand.
"Gosh, I miss you so much," he breathlessly says.
You open your mouth to speak only for him to tug your lower lip between his teeth and playfully pull at it, making you forget what you're about to say to him.
As a way to get back to him, you surprise him by turning him over and straddling him, having him under you as you stare down at his face.
He's just as beautiful as the last time you saw him, your index finger touches the tiny mole on his fluffy cheek. His honey skin is still as warm as you remember, soft and searing to the touch. You swipe your thumb across his lips before leaning in to kiss him.
"Mmh... baby?" he hums against your lips with his hands cupping your ass and kneading on it.
"Yeah?" You breathlessly ask with your lips lingering on his.
"Help me take off your dress," he whispers.
You lowly chuckle and sit straddling him, taking the hem of your dress to take it off, pulling it over your head, then tossing it away.
The bewilderment is apparent on his face as he looks at your body with wide, lustful eyes and he slides his hands up the side of your body, eagerly waiting for you to take off your bra next.
"Mmh, yeah, get those tits out for me," he playfully says with a sly grin on his face.
His body is shaking along with yours as you laugh at his words while he enjoys touching you, running his knuckles down your front.
There's no denying that you miss his touch so much and how you crumble under the faintest of his touch on you, moreover, how it makes you want him more.
You land a long kiss on his lips and smile at him when you let go, "I'm going to get us a condom."
"Good idea!" He says along with a quick peck on your lips.
You get off him, rolling to the side of the bed, and pull open the drawer on the bedside table, rummaging through the contents to get a condom.
Han is kicking his jeans off the bed when you crawl back to his side while holding the condom in your hand, you put your leg over his as you get comfortable lying next to him.
He turns his head to be greeted by your gaze and tenderly puts his hand on your neck, he then leans in with his mouth open and slightly curling into a smile.
His hand brushes your hair to the side before resting his hand on your neck and instead of going straight for a kiss, he rubs his lips against yours and you can feel his breath on you, hot and raging with desire.
"Oh..." he lowly moans as you gently suck on his lower lip.
He flashes you a wicked grin before licking your lips then crashes them against yours again, slowly yet deeply. You are intimately making out with him as your hand goes down his front, not stopping until your hand meets his engorging member.
Using your index finger, you gently circle the tip of his cock and at times, alternate it with a few strokes on his full length, making it harder and hotter in your hand.
When you deem that both of you are hot and ready enough for it, you tear open the foil packet, then carefully take the rubber out.
You concentrate on putting it correctly, pinching the tip of the condom then slowly unroll the rubber down his length. He intently watches as you meticulously put it on for him and delightfully sighs once you're done.
"Wonderful work!" He playfully comments, pulling you close to him again, "You are welcomed to put it on me for the rest of my life."
You hold his chin and snidely laugh, "You wish!"
Unamused with your remark, he tightens his hold around you and uses his strength to flip you over to have you under him this time.
He plants his lips on you again and kisses you slower with his hand gently kneading on your breast, fingers circling on your hardening bud.
Your body is responsive to every stimulation he's doing to you, your legs are spreading open and you keep seeking that closeness.
The tension hits high as he settles himself between your legs, placing one hand on your thigh and the other aiming his cock at your entrance. He teases you by rubbing his cock on your clit, making you more drenched than you already are.
When he finally enters you, you let out a long moan at how hard and how good it feels to be slowly filled by him.
"I still have more, baby," he murmurs at you with a caress on your cheek.
Han props both hands on each side of you and looks down at you, he's using his hips to push the remaining length inside you while leisurely watching for your reaction, eyes fluttering shut overwhelmed with pleasure.
"Too good," his lips grazing yours as he speaks, "You always feel too good."
When you open your eyes, you can see one corner of his mouth curls into a cocky smirk and you so badly want to take it off his face so you pull him into a kiss.
He starts thrusting slowly, setting a steady pace as he continuously lathers his lips on yours, making you gasp for air in between kisses and moaning against his lips.
The sex feels different because it's not always about the sex itself but who you're doing it with. With Han, you're less insecure about yourself, you don't have to worry about your body and how it looks to him. With him, you can fully enjoy the intimacy between you and him, and also with yourself.
Noticing that you're getting close to your release, he hastily kisses you and says, "Cum together, yeah?"
Unable to answer verbally, you repeatedly nod at him in response.
He keeps the same pace but does it intensely as he's close to his release as well, your lips lingering against each other but both of your eyes are closed and he's groping around for your hand, holding it tightly as he fastens the pace.
When you finally come to your release, he keeps thrusting to ride out his high and then collapsing on top of you. With his eyes half shut, his hand dearly holds the side of your face and slowly puts his lips on you.
The kiss feels a lot gentler, almost like he's kissing a fragile object and you like that. You return his kiss even though you're still coming down from your high, panting in between kisses.
In the midst of it, you get hit by a realization and you immediately push him away, breaking the kiss. You let your head fall onto the pillow and lowly curse, "Fuck..."
"What's wrong?" He asks, slightly concerned.
You let out another groan and roughly brush your hair to the back, "I was planning to make you wait for, at least, a week for that."
He laughs in satisfaction and makes you put your hands around his shoulders again, "You can't help it because I'm cute," he confidently remarks.
You turn away and sigh, "You're not that cute."
Han places slobbering kisses on your neck and face in protest to that, making you laugh under him.
"This is exactly my plan to get you back," he tells you.
"And it's not working," you jokingly say.
He props his elbow against the mattress to not put his whole weight on you, "You have to admit that there's no reason for us to not get back together," he tells you.
It's true, you still have feelings for him and so is he, he wants you back as much as you want him back. You both want to get back together so what's holding you back?
He props his head with his hand and pulls the duvet to cover both of your bodies, "Honestly, I've been wondering why we broke up in the first place," he suddenly admits.
You look at him and see the turn of expression on his face, "We weren't ready," you answer.
"I was ready and I still am," he shortly denies, his eyes are open and wide, full of conviction.
You rest your hand on his neck and play with the hair on the nape of his neck, "It was me. I wasn't ready."
There's another change of expression on his face, his eyes downturn and looking sad, "Why?"
You awkwardly shrug and sigh, "I don't want to get hurt," you sadly admit.
His eyes wistfully look at you and his hand tenderly holds the side of your face, "I'm not going to hurt you, baby."
"I know," you respond.
"I like you too much to do that," he assures you with those eyes that shine for you.
The way he convinces you is endearing, you can't help but smile at his words. You don't even know why you think he's capable of hurting you when he's adorable like this.
"As a matter of fact, I love you," he blurts out.
Your heart aches in so many ways hearing those words from him, you smile and cup his cheek in your hand.
"And that's why I'm scared because I love you too," you say those words back to him with all of your heart and with worries that looming around it.
He softly kisses your lips and leans in so close his nose is poking at your cheek, "But we have each other remember?"
It's unfair how easily he can make you fall in love with him again, as easy as taking a breath but that's just the power he has over you, it's taking over you.
"You're right," you agree with him.
He triumphantly smiles and places a chaste kiss on your lips, long and lingering, making your heart ache than before as he holds it in his hand.
"We have each other," he murmurs once he pulls away from the kiss.
And you realize that you have his heart in your hand too so you smile and murmur the words back at him.
"We have each other."

Dates | Hazbin x Gn reader
Characters: Lucifer, Vox, Husk and Rosie
Warnings: gn reader, mentions of reader possibly being a cannibal in Rosie's part, I think everything else is pretty fluffy, english isn't my first language
A/n: So I'm currently busy with a personal fanfic for me and my friends so I haven't spent that much time with writing stuff for Tumblr but here are a few headcanons that I wrote real quick.
Comments, likes and reblogs are always appreciated and really motivate me to write more <3
Tumblr media
Lucifer:
I think Lucifer would sometimes use his authority as the King of hell to give you the best dates ever
He would take you to exclusive restaurants that are like super fancy for hell and would even book out the entire restaurant so that you could spend time together just the two of you
If you want to visit a specific location he will do everything in his power so that you two can go there
Though I do think he personally would be particularly fond of spending just time with you at home
Maybe watching a movie and cuddling, I think after Lilith left he would be quite a touch-starved
And now that he is finally ready again for a relationship he just really enjoys being as close as possible to you
I think as gifts he would often handmake you things but if there is something specific that you talked about wanting but are not able to get at the moment he would buy it for you in an instant
Vox:
He would definitely take reader on some overly fancy dates, you would be sitting in a restaurant where you wouldn't be able to afford a meal with your entire month's salary
But Vox obviously tells you to get anything that you want as he will pay for it
In general, he would really shower you with the money that he has
Gifts from him would be something overly fancy and expensive and even if you tell him you don't need that stuff he will still give it to you
In general, I think he tends to be a bit overly obsessive so he probably will never let you leave his sight
The gifts are almost ways to ensure that you will stay by his side even if it's just because you feel bad that he spends so much money on you
Husk:
I think Husk personally prefers more chill and relaxed dates
At least when he has some free time for them, because if Alastor just wants him behind the bar all day then he has no say in what he wants to do
So often your dates are just you sitting at the bar while Husk is working
But hey at least you can spend some time together
But outside of that, I think if you wanna go out it could be like a chill bar date with good music if you can find that kind of place in hell
Or you two just spend time in each other's rooms
Cuddling together while watching a movie and maybe you can give Husk a massage until he starts to purr loudly
I think he would give you some good liquor that you two can share together or in general something more practical that you can actually use
He just enjoys being able to relax with you and forget about everything else
Rosie:
I think Rosie is almost playful while dating, she just has this really charming personality
She would take you out around cannibal town maybe to a nice cafe or restaurant around there
Or even better a picnic in a park with food from her own shop she really wants to make sure that you are eating well
I can kinda imagine her also enjoying spending time with you playing music, singing and dancing together
I think she would handmake you some gifts and in general, she is someone who would regularly just gift you something because she likes seeing you happy
She would just really cherish you and always shower you with compliments

SOUL EATER EVANS x FEM!READER

[a/n: i'm gonna change my theme so i'll add a header later but i've been rewatching my favorite shows so expect more of these! enjoy !! <3]

wc: 1.5k words
warnings: a few swear words and modern!au kinda lol
Maka eyed Soul in amusement, watching as her weapon partner gazed at you in the cafeteria. You had been chatting it up with your meister as you two waited in line, trays in hand. Soul had been crushing on you bad. He was disheartened because he thought you and your partner were a couple but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
She had spoken to you at a party a few days ago and subtly asked if you were seeing anyone. You adamantly denied it as your eyes searched the small crowd until falling on a familiar head of white hair, a deep red blush on your cheeks that you had hoped Maka had waved off as the liquor in your cup, that you definitely should not have been drinking.
From then on it was almost sickening to see the sweet unnoticed glances the both of you threw at each other.
“Soul, just ask her out already.” Tsubaki suggested lightheartedly, stealing the words that were about to roll off of Maka’s tongue.
The blonde nodded in agreement. “Yeah, Soul. Cool guys should speak up about what they’re feeling.” She teased.
“Tch, forget it.” He turned back to look at his food, pushing it around with a fork. “She’s already with someone.”
“Who? (Y/n)? No she’s not.” Kid hummed as he, Liz, and Patty took their seats at the table.
“How would you know?” Soul grimaced, waiting for some kind of punchline.
“Cause she said so.” Patty shrugged like it was the most obvious thing ever.
“She comes over to get her nails done by Liz and she’s surprisingly very gossip-y.” Kid took a sip of his water.
“Yeah, she said she had her eye on someone.” Liz moved her eyebrows suggestively at Soul. “She was trying to be vague about her description but it was obviously you.”
Soul said nothing as he processed all this information. As long as he had known you, you were always a little shy and closed off. Maka and the others had helped you out of your cocoon so, when you all hung out together outside of school, he got to see another side of you. Your boisterous laughter was melodic and infectious, your smiles unabashed and wide, even going as far as throwing around sarcastic and snarky quips here and there. It was his favorite thing to see your cheeks rosy as you joined Patty in whatever silly antics possessed her.
“Hey guys!” Your meister grinned as you both took a seat. Your eyes scanned everyone  before they met Soul’s. He could’ve sworn they lit up as you sent a shy smile his way.
Oh Lord, you were gonna be the death of him.
The weekend came rather quickly and Soul found himself bored and alone at home. Maka had gone to the library with Tsubaki and Kid to study and Blair was working a shift at Chupa Cabra’s. He had cleaned to keep busy but after that, there really wasn’t much to do and it was only 12pm.
“Oh man, this is totally uncool.” He muttered, slumping into the couch cushion. He stared at the wall for a bit before a vibration against his thigh snapped him out of his daze. Hastily pulling it out of his pocket, he flipped it over and his heart started to beat faster at your picture filling his screen. He cleared his throat.
“Hey, what’s up?”
His voice sent a shiver down your spine. “H-Hey Soul, are you-are you busy?”
“Not at all.” Never too busy for you is what he really wanted to say.
“Okay, uhm well I was gonna grab s-some coffee and maybe go shopping.” You paused and he waited patiently for you to continue. “I was wondering if you wanted to maybe come with me?”
He was stunned silent, you wanted to hang out with him? “But only if you want to! There’s-uhm there’s no pressure, obv-obviously.” He thought your panic was cute.
“Yeah, that sounds like fun. I’m in. I’ll pick you up in…20 minutes. S’that okay?”
“Y-yeah! Yes, more than okay. See you in twenty!” He could hear your beaming smile and it made his lips stretch into one as well.
“I’ll see you in twenty.” He confirmed before hanging up.
He rushed to get dressed, grabbing his extra helmet before driving the familiar route to your apartment.
Your fingertips were buzzing with nervous excitement as you waited for Soul, however, as a familiar motorcycle came rumbling to a stop not too far from you, your nerves skyrocketed. How could you forget he drove a motorcycle?!
“Hey! Ready to go?” He smiled so gently at you, it almost made you forget about your nerves entirely. Keyword: almost.
“Uhm y-yeah, I just uh…I’ve never been on a-a motorcycle before.” Your cheeks were incredibly red and he eyed as you fiddled with your nails.
“Ah shit, I should’ve asked if that was okay.” He was mentally smacking his forehead. “I could get us an Uber or something?”
“N-No! That’s okay, I don’t mind…just a little nervous.”
“Are you sure?” He’d just die if he ever made you feel uncomfortable. You nodded, determination clear in your eyes that made a little smirk lift the edge of his mouth. “Alright, hop on.”
He got on first, holding the bike steady as you climbed on the seat behind him. You had the visor up on the helmet and he thought it was adorable to see how it squished your cheeks a little bit. “You can wrap your arms around me to hold on.” He looked down and watched as your shaky hands wrapped around his torso. “Hold on tight, m’kay?” You nodded. “If you want me to slow down, tap twice.” He felt your hand gently smack against where it rested near his hip.
“Good. Just like that.” His praise made your breath hitch.
When he pulled away from the curb, he grinned at the muffled squeak that came from you before you leaned into him even more, arms tightening around him. You were so warm, he could get addicted to your touch if you’d let him.
At a light, he rested his feet against the ground and without really thinking, he rested his hand atop yours. The feeling of his hand had startled you slightly but you definitely weren’t complaining. A surge of confidence filled your body and you shifted your fingers so they slotted between his. He glanced down and almost couldn’t believe it, the back of your hand was a little cold against his warm palm so his thumb moved to gently caress your skin in an attempt to warm you up.
His coffee seemed to taste sweeter than usual but he chalked it up to the rose colored tint that you brought to his life. He had bought a few things at the thrift you had suggested going to but he was most grateful for having been able to see you step in and out of the dressing rooms, asking his opinions on outfits, both of you turning red when you had meekly stepped out in a short black skirt with cherries on it.
Sadly, the day was coming to an end and he had to drop you off back home.
But as he parked and helped you off of his bike, you seemed to be trying to prolong going inside. You gazed at him for a second. He was leaning on his bike and facing you, half sitting on his seat with his legs spread. He was also letting himself take you in. You had gotten cold and he had gladly given you his blue pullover to wear.
“Okay…well uhm th-thanks Soul. I had fun.”
“Yeah, me too…” He looked down at his feet, desperately thinking of something else to say.
You smiled sadly, upset that you were so scared to make a move. “Goodnight.” He echoed the sentiment and watched you slump back into your apartment building, still in his sweater.
“I’m such an idiot.” He groaned, moving to pull his helmet on.
“Soul!” Surprised, he halted his movements and rested the helmet in his lap.
“(Y/n)? What happe-” You rushed over and he was cut off when your lips met his. He immediately reciprocated and held your waist so you didn’t fall over, smiling into the kiss when a small noise left your throat, deepening it and pulling you closer until your hands rested against his chest.
Pulling away, you refused to meet his eyes. So he gently gripped your chin and turned your gaze back to him. “Can I kiss you again?” His pleading tone made you weak in the knees, his thumb grazing your bottom lip. You muttered, “Yes.” And he dove right back in.
Once he was home, a dazed smile was permanently on his lips.
Not even the text message from your weapon in the groupchat could change that.
fucking finally !! [image attached]
If anything, he was glad that the moment was captured, almost straight out of a movie.

"I had to talk to you."

'God I need to get my eyes checked.'
'God she's so fucking pretty.'
"No." Steve watches you load your bag into the back of the car and start pulling the top up on your car.
'Please don't pull away, please don't pull away.'

Quick Review:
During the premier of PPP movie before the Global launch, fans kept asking Dir. Shiotani about
The meaning of empty liquor bottle in Kogami's desk.
Why Kogami removed his jacket during his balcony scene
And his answer were simple. Kogami didn't know the difference of wearing it inside or outside. At first, I thought it was some kind of a funny little joke, or I didn't understand the words full well (I'm not a full-bred Japanese though I studied Nihonggo way back in grade school).
But if you read the PPP novel, you will realize Kogami isn't fully adjusted from his traumatic experiences as a mercenary overseas 🤧. So he doesn't feel how to act just as he used to when he's back.
And ofcourse, we all know he and Saiga only emptied the liquor after long hours of chatting and Tonami profiling.
2. It's interesting that the writing team have taken the pulse of the fans during the Q&A session, thus some points in PPP novel is what we might've expect after all 🤭.
3. Some may say it's nothing new. As it seems the writing team pretty much remain loyal to the movie summary. But if you read between the lines, you realize how it is a bit forgiving & fan-serving, compare to the movie itself 👍🏻.
4. The locations...last minute alterations... 😆.
5. And ofcourse the last time Akane spent with Saiga on his detention cell 😭. She literally blame herself for asking him to come to them on Dejima in MoFA's HQ to retrieve the Stronskaya Papers a day after. Which we all know ended tragically.
6. She pulls the trigger. She question the justice. Which quotes the same kind of line from PP3 novel when she's writing her thoughts down in an analogue typewriter. From that scene she thought of Kogami's action and how Sybil judged him for that.
But in PPP novel, no doubt she puts into consideration the life of Atsushi Shindo and how he was used as a pawn, only to be a master pawn who puppets the life of another pawn like what happened to Akira Ignatov.
Aswell as Akira Ignatov's sacrifice. He volunteered to be a puppet for the sake of the future generation. For the sake of his brother in particular 😢😓😓😢.
7. Frede-chan's holding back and being indecisive to keep the truth about the mission to Kogami. Is like keeping her phone number to her crush 😹🤭. Sure, she's just conscious how would Kou-chan would react since she knows Saiga and him are pretty close 😮‍💨.
8. The writing team did a pretty good job by staying true to their plot work. They know what they're doing. As if taken up some piece of advice from Gege Akutami 😅😂.
9. The last scene is pretty much heart-aching but well executed 😘🤌🏻❤️
10. The General was a medical AI but I wonder if the creator of Sybil also created that?... how about BiFrost? Oh hello, Season 4! We're waving at you ☺️😀!
11. Many hate Akane for trying to control Kogami, again?! Let me get this straight, SHE ISN'T CONTROLLING ANYONE!
There's a MASSIVE difference when he a.) first pulled the trigger against Makishima (out of revenge) and when he b.) pulls that against Tonami.
Akane knows it best.
a) She doesn't want him to be a person swallowed by revenge like Sasuke (Naruto).
b) She hopes Kogami is back for the better but instead he acted again with his animal instinct which indicates he can still be easily outplayed by emotions instead of not letting it get the human out of him.
Akane still looks up to Kogami. She knows he was labeled as a latent criminal by Sybil. But the way Kou acted is like proving to Sybil that their labeling of him as latent criminal was right. And if there's one thing Akane isn't fond of, that is proving Sybil right.
So it's not about Kogami. It's about her campaign against Sybil's false and unfair judgement! So don't mock her! 😖
Lastly, PPP novel is enjoyable because a lot of fans are exerting efforts to translate it to English for fans abroad. Kudos to you all❣️
Not everyone have the time, capacity and dedication you've spent. Including me, I'm not good in translation. So thank you. You are the heart of PSYCHO-PASS franchise global expansion ❤️🥰.
End of Review.
Okay, so that wasn't a quick one 😋 sorry about that. I just hope you guys have a wonderful day. Have fun and enjoy everything that you do!
🥰🤗
Meanwhile, the original crew of PP1 are in their podcast discussing how the series have been progressing so far 😋😂

Nah! It's just a trace sketch of CD Discussion Vol. 1

Sober
Its not the best.
Tw- alcohol, sex, language
You had met this guy one day when leaving your sponsors house. You don’t know what made you so intrigued by him. But you made sure to ask about him the very next time you saw Bobby.
Bobby was a little reluctant to tell you anything about him, but Athena seemed to think it would be beneficial to the both of you.
So now here you were sitting at a coffee shop waiting for this attractive gentleman.
“Y/n?” You heard as the man approached the table.
“Hi, Eddie” you stood up to greet him.
“You look beautiful” he said. You could tell he was more of a quiet type, and that by complimenting you he was saying a lot.
“Thank you” you said. The two of you sat in the coffee shop and talked for hours. You talked about everything under the sun.
“Oh crap, is it really 3:30?” Eddie said checking his phone.
“Oh wow” you replied.
“I have to go pick up my son, maybe we could meet up again soon”
A few months had passed, you were getting a 1 year sobriety chip and you had invited Eddie to come. He asked you to come by his house and he would drive. He said he also really wanted you to meet Christopher. He didn’t think he could wait any longer without it happening. You 2 had made it official about 2 months prior.
You walk up the walk way to the door. You were greeted by a cute blonde haired boy.
“Y/n?” He said smiling.
“Well you must be Christopher!” You said.
“Yep! Dad Y/n is here!” He yelled into the house. He led you in.
“We made you something!” He cheered.
“Oh really!?” You asked.
Eddie came out of the kitchen holding a cake that read “we are proud of you”. You couldn’t help but smile.
“Chris chose what to write” Eddie said, setting the cake down on the table.
He walked over and kissed your cheek.
“Well I love it” you said.
“Dad can we eat cake now?” Chris begged. Eddie cut him a piece. You sat in a chair as close to Eddie as possible at the table. You laid your arm on his thigh and he wrapped his arm around you.
“We really are proud of you” he whispered.
“You don’t know how much that means to me” you said leaning your head back.
Just then the front door opened.
“I’m here” a voice you haven’t heard in a years filled your ears.
“In here” Eddie called.
A man walked into the room.
“Evan?” You asked.
“Y/n?” He looked at you wide eyed.
“You two know each other” Eddie asked.
“Yeah um I’ve got to go” you said jumping up and leaving.
“Wait, what about your meeting?” Eddie called after you.
You were already to the door. When you go to your car you called Bobby and cried to him about everything.
Eddie tried calling your phone several times until you turned it off. You couldn’t face him. You were laying on the couch staring at the bottle of vodka. Even after talking to Bobby you still stopped by the liquor store on the way home.
You heard a knock at the door. You moaned and got up to answer it. Eddie was on the other side.
“I’ve been calling you for hours. What going on? Why did you leave?” Eddie asked.
“Because I didn’t think you would want anything to do with my after knowing that I slept with your best friend. Evan or Buck whatever you call him, we used to sleep together” You said
“Listen Buck told me everything. It was a long time ago. Back when you were both different people: it’s not like feelings were involved. Not like it is for me and you” he said brushing your hair out of your face.
“So your not mad?” You asked.
As an answer he just leaned in and kissed you. He spotted what you hoped he wouldn’t.
“Why is their a bottle of vodka on your counter?” He asked.
“I didn’t drink any. Just more of a reminder” you said.
“How about we get you to a meeting and get you that 1 year chip then come back here and watch a movie?” Eddie said.
“That would be good, thank you for everything” you said burying your head in his chest.

Hi, I actually finished a Birdrick fic I've been trying to polish for forever.
I actually didn't get around to fixing it up as much as I'd like to, but oh well. I might come back around to it, but I like the concept enough to just put it out as-is.
Mostly just a revenge era ficlet taking place after a battle similar to Blood Ridge. I really wanted to explore something about Rick fucking with timelines, soooo... this is that, but specifically dealing with Birdrick. (I think I western-coded it so... expect cowboy vibes.)

'The Opposite of a Video-Game-Style Place-Saving Device'
2,445 words
-----
It was a cool night, high on the end of a blistering russet day. Rick flinched, pulling his vest closed and up to his chin as he flexed the limp fingers of his right hand. The evening air had a bit of a bite to it.
Rick squinted, blinking as he looked off into the distance where a shattered flag pole stood triumphantly against the desert sky. Shakily, the scientist shuffled along the abandoned town strip, searching for anywhere a good booze find might seem promising. He felt an odd sense of tiredness brush along his bones, much like dusk swept the hazy landscape that surrounded him.
‘Ah,’ Rick said quietly. He could see the end of the strip from where he stood. The last building was a bit difficult to make out, and Rick definitely didn’t recognize the alien language displayed on the flashing neon sign.
Rick rubbed his chin, weighing the odds. A neon sign had to indicate the presence of alcohol, at the very least. Nodding to himself, he made up his mind and stalked in the building’s direction.
Rick’s nimble legs stretched out in long, careful strides as he neared the front steps. Up close, he would’ve guessed the place was a liquor store– or some alien equivalent. The low, yellow light seeping into the night from the windows revealed dimly lit rows of shelves decorated with bottles of various shapes, sizes, and colors. Rick was sure the thick scent of yeast in the air was simply the result of conditioning. He had yet to encounter alien booze with a similar enough fermentation base to produce the same scent, yet he often smelled it on the air when he felt numb.
Pushing open the door, Rick tried to remember what the point of all of this was.
He often felt stuck. Stagnant.
When Rick encountered other people, he was aware of the aura that surrounded them all.
The funny thing about stuff like that is that you don’t notice it’s there when you’re surrounded by it.
When you’re swimming in it yourself.
Other people just had this thing about them– this feeling that they were going to change.
Rick could look at Birdperson and just know he wasn’t going to be like this forever. Eventually, he’d accomplish something. He’d slow down. One day, his partner would look him in the eye and Rick would just be able to see the difference in him. There would be a glimmer of wisdom or maturity– or something that wasn’t there before.
Rick felt… stuck.
He’d left the loop he’d created just to get stuck in his shitty, pointless, pining 30’s for God-knows-how-many decades.
Rick shook off the remnants of his thoughts, taking in the interior of the shop.
Rows of shelves created a small maze that wove its way around the front of the establishment. A counter sat, unattended and obviously meant to be occupied by a species far larger than human, to his right. He took a few steps forward, letting the heavy door swing closed with an unimpressive ‘thud’.
There was a shuffling behind the counter. Rick froze, darting his eyes to the right, his hand hovering over the laser gun at his hip.
An ear-shattering silence settled over the scene as Rick inched closer to the counter, bending his knees and drawing his weapon. He sucked a hiss of air through his teeth.
‘I just want–’ Rick jumped, turning to press himself flat against the front wall as a bottle flew across the counter, shattering into a splintered mess against one of the shelves.
Birdperson stood behind the counter in a frantic stance. His eyes were wide with panic, his plume ruffled with fright, and his broad arm extended from his pitch.
‘Jesus Christ, Pers!’ Rick called, shoving his gun back into its holster and running his hands through his hair. Bending forward and placing his hands on his knees, he panted, ‘You scared the shit outta me! I-I could’ve shot you! I would’ve shot you!’
‘How do you think I feel?’ Birdperson replied, throwing a dramatic, exasperated gesture at his own chest.
Rick rolled his eyes, laughing. His friend made an effort to seem annoyed– standing up a bit straighter and smoothing the feathers along the tops of his wings– but Rick didn’t miss the humored smile that crept along Birdperson’s cheeks.
‘What’re you doing in here?’ Rick asked.
Birdperson gave him a glance-over before gesturing to the shelves surrounding them. ‘Great minds think alike, as you humans say.’
Rick patted his knees in thought before turning to peruse the aisles. ‘Wanna help me pick something out?’ he said, twitching the fingers of his left hand in a gesture for Pers to follow.
Birdperson nodded, stepping out from behind the counter and following at Rick’s right.
They walked for a few moments in silence, Rick occasionally gesturing out at random bottles that looked alluring as Birdperson shook his head gingerly at each.
Rick reached out and grasped the swan-like neck of a bottle of thick, green liquid. He turned the bottle up to the light, noticing a photo of what seemed to be some sort of fruit amidst the sea of incomprehensible symbols. A blinking blue box appeared in his vision next to the image, which read:
EDIBLE; HUMAN-SAFE
MILD, USUALLY PLEASANT PSYCHOACTIVE EFFECTS
‘Let’s just try this one,’ Rick suggested, turning and shaking the bottle gently in front of BP’s face.
‘Hmm,’ his companion shrugged. ‘Alright, but we need music.’
‘Aye, aye,’ Rick murmured, stuffing a hand into his pocket and pulling out a flat, round device roughly the size of a coin. Setting it on his palm, he flicked the device up, where a small cord shot from its center, tethering it to the ceiling. ‘I think I’ve only got our stuff on this one.’
Rick’s sad, whiny vocals reverberated softly around the room, accompanied by a slow undercurrent of light bass.
Rick handed BP the bottle while he shrugged off his coat, folding it over his arm. The two stalked back to the counter where Rick sat his coat and threw himself clumsily on top with his feet dangling off the edge, facing his friend. Birdperson popped the cap from the bottle with a small hiss of air, and handed it to Rick.
‘Why do I always have to open the bottles?’ Birdperson moaned, cocking his head to the side to watch Rick sniff the lip of the bottle. ‘Not that I mind, but it would be nice to be asked.’
Rick shrugged, surprised by the sweetness of the scent. He took a sip, cringing at the acidity, but decided it was overall pleasant. His vision was already slightly fuzzy and his head felt a bit lighter. This stuff was stout.
‘You’re the strong one,’ Rick replied, taking a second sip and holding the bottle out for Birdperson.
Their fingers brushed as BP grasped the neck of the bottle. ‘So?’ Birdperson brought the bottle up to his lips, taking a slow gulp before shaking his head in disgust. ‘Blegh. I hate that fruity shit you like.’
Rick scoffed as his friend took another drink before passing it back. ‘Okay, Mister ‘I love wine.’’ Rick emphasized the phrase with air quotes after sitting the bottle on the counter. ‘Everyone knows the strong one opens the bottles.’
Birdperson laughed, his cheeks flushing with what Rick assumed were the effects of the beverage. ‘The principle is that you are capable of opening them.’
‘No, I’m helpless,’ Rick whined sarcastically, fake pouting. He was suddenly aware of how golden Birdperson’s plume appeared in the light. ‘And you have pretty feathers.’
‘My poor human,’ Birdperson murmured, grinning a little too-wide for Rick to take him seriously.
‘My big, strong bird,’ Rick cooed dramatically, batting his eyelashes.
Birdperson let out a barking laugh, Rick giggling alongside him. After a long moment, Birdperson looked up, putting his hands in the air as if he could feel the song.
‘You know,’ Birdperson said. ‘I feel like I have lived this moment before.’
Rick’s throat went dry, his eyes darting to his coat.
‘Why’s that?’ He asked, trying not to panic– or even worse: forget why he was panicking altogether.
‘I do not know.’ Birdperson shrugged, turning to face Rick. ‘This feeling I have been getting lately…’ His companion’s expression tightened, like he was trying to explain something that he didn’t understand. ‘It almost feels like losing my mind, Rick. I feel like I cannot place memories, or like some memories are… out of place.’ He waved his hands in the air, his wings twitching slightly as he met Rick’s eyes. ‘I don’t remember making this song with you, but I must have.’
Rick’s gut felt hollow. He plastered on a fake smile, sweat beading at his temples and his heart thudding in his ears. ‘Sounds like you’re pretty fucked up on this shit.’
Birdperson laughed, his expression softening. ‘Yes.’ He placed a clawed hand on his forehead.
Rick felt himself relax. He let out a breath he didn’t even know he’d been holding.
Rick watched Birdperson sway for a few minutes– or hours, he couldn’t really tell. He liked the way the different colors of the bottles warped around his body as he moved to the beat of the music.
‘C’mere,’ Rick said after a while, beckoning for BP to come stand in front of him.
‘What?’ Birdperson asked, stumbling over and standing between Rick’s knees, leaning in close and bracing his palms on the edge of the counter for stability.
Rick could smell the honey-like scent of his sweat.
The scientist reached up, picking a stray feather from his friend’s sticky cheek. ‘Feather,’ he said matter-of-factly. Placing it carefully on the tip of his finger, he held it in front of BP’s mouth. ‘Make a wish.’
Birdperson’s eyes flicked up to meet his own, then glanced down.
Rick felt his semi-mechanical heart cleave itself to life beneath his ribs. It was like Birdperson’s small gasps bit at his own heated cheeks.
Birdperson licked his lips, sighing deeply. ‘Rick, I–’
‘Don’t,’ Rick said, something hot and heavy tightening in his throat. He’d meant to cut his partner off harshly, but his notion came out meek and broken– his voice wavering and pained.
‘Don’t what?’ Birdperson responded, his hand moving to rest on Rick’s lower back. His feathered brow furrowed in concern, his chapped lips pulling into a tight line. The feather fluttered to the ground with the movement, and Rick placed a shaky hand on his companion’s shoulder.
‘Just… Please don’t say anything you don’t mean, man… Not again.’ Rick reached for the bottle, bringing it back up to his lips and darting his eyes around the room in an attempt to subvert Birdperson’s contemplative gaze.
‘Again? Rick, I can assure you that I never say things that I do not mean,’ Birdperson said, cocking his head inquisitively.
It was usually times like this when Rick appreciated his over-familiarity with the man next to him. Far too often, others failed to recognize the tone of his companion’s statements. Rick, however, understood that BP was prompting him to explain.
That, however, irked him– and he felt frustration bloom in his gut. He tightened his grip on the bottle, no longer drinking, but instead tapping it harshly against his lips as he mentally fumbled for the words to describe what he was sure his best friend already knew. Finally, he decided it wasn’t worth articulating. He could feel his throat beginning to close at just the thought of acknowledging it out loud.
The bottle clinked on the surface of the counter as he spoke. ‘Well, ya could’ve fooled me.’
‘I…’ Birdperson leaned back, waving one hand in the air as if beckoning for words that wouldn’t seem to come to him. ‘I do not understand.’
Rick rolled his eyes, scoffing. ‘Do you just get off on this or something?’
‘Rick, please,’ Birdperson said through his teeth, obviously frustrated. ‘On what?’
Rick briefly thought about another life or dimension or timeline where the two would’ve simply made a joke about what it really meant to ‘get off’ on something. If only his blood wasn’t boiling beneath his skin.
‘This, man!’ Rick shouted, throwing his hands in the air. Both of the men flinched and he quickly lowered his voice. ‘This. You love the fact that you’re all that I have. Fuck, dude. You–You’re all I–I…’ Rick took in a shaky breath, pressing his hands against his eyes. ‘This happens every time,’ he whispered meekly.
‘Are you talking about… her?’
Rick swallowed a dagger as his friend reached up and wiped his tears away with his thumb. He didn’t answer.
‘Rick… I am not like her. We are not like you two were.’
Rick laughed a bitter laugh, wiping his tears and scowling at Birdperson with blurry eyes. ‘What were you going to say, then? That you love me?’
‘Of course I love you, Rick.’ Birdperson reached out to touch his face once again, but Rick shrunk away.
‘Stop,’ Rick whispered. ‘Don’t… Please…’
‘You are my best friend. I love you,’ Birdperson said, that frustration nipping at the edges of his tone once more. ‘You can tell me anything.’
‘Not this,’ Rick shook his head, reaching for his jacket. ‘Not… this…’
God, how Rick wanted to collapse in on himself. He suddenly wished the counter was a massive beast so that he could be swallowed up whole in his idiotic, love-drunk stupor.
Trembling, he slipped the device out of the pocket of his jacket. It fit snugly in his palm, and he felt it warm his fingers to the bone.
‘You can,’ his companion insisted. ‘I promise.’
Rick looked back up to Birdperson, mustering up a weak smile. ‘Can I have a hug?’
More tears stung in his eyes, and he leaned into Birdperson’s touch as stalwart arms and wings wove their way around him. He let out a quiet sob, nuzzling into soft feathers.
‘I’m sorry,’ Rick choked out, shifting the device in his palm and pressing a small button at its base. He gripped his friend tighter, breathing his scent in deeply.
A piercing blue light engulfed them both.
Rick blinked from his position on the counter, disoriented. Birdperson stood a few feet away from him, still dancing, stray feather on his cheek.
‘I’m calling it a night,’ Rick said sharply, grabbing his jacket and heading for the door.  He clenched his jaw, biting back tears.
‘Whatever,’ BP called out, unbothered.
Rick pulled back his sleeve, glancing down at the notification flashing on his watch screen.

A long time ago...
A fashion fairy, a sorcerer and a rabbit travelled across kingdom...
▪️Or how teen!Sam got his first fairy powder's bottle!
▪️K got their first fashion's job from DeVil's fashion house.
▪️Or how Mister Crewel was young ..so young! But so stiff...
Aka let's go the the Fairy Kingdom and sell fashion fairy tiny dresses!!
Random headcanon:
-Sam learned magic with his grandfather, but still went to NRC by his possibly 3rd year to get his mage certificate (thanks to some shadow alliance beetween Crowley and Sam's grandfather). And by his 18 y.o, he got to own the shop by himself.
-Divus Crewel is a fairy fashion designer, the fairies ask for his design since his old days at NRC.
-Due to his long lost blood fairy dna, Mister Crewel can open portal to the fairy kingdom, only during the flower full moon!
-Sam and K went to their first fairy gala with Mister Crewel, carrying tiny dresses with accessories, and sending floating petals flowers in exchange to Sam's first fairy powder!
-Eventually they kept in touch with fairies and still anticipate to take part again of their gala!
-Mister Crewel can't stand fairy flower liquor, and ends up dancing, vibing like "Pedro Pascal" (yes if you know you know!!). Little fairies enjoying that mood from him.
-Mister Crewel found out during that night that K eats blottling (canon ref to Oswald's rabbits child who eat blot in "Epic Disney Mickey!"). Much to his horror but to the Fairy Queen's amazement.
-Sam can understand and speak with fairies without bell, it's a secret!
-By the end of the night, K returned to their original rabbit form asleep... Mister Crewel being a bit too much joyous and exausted... Sam had to bring them back to NRC, floating, using fairy powder.
-Sam met some frog fairies and made a familiar pact with them, bringing powerful Diva singer lotus fairy among his friends on the other side.
-Lucius was once asked to personnally take part of some fairy events due to his fabulous fur, making Trein-sensei worried.
-Sam went later to Neverland (using fairy powder) and is still in close, deep contact with the island and its residents!
-Sam's grandfather was proud of him making such relation with everyone, and keeping a familiar in their universe for so long. K doesn't actually take much magic stamina to the point they can freely move beetween both worlds without bothering Sam. But they would still need some blood contact with him, to gain and remain in their twisted human form if they want to.
-Sam is younger than Divus but is treating him like a little cousin, and is seen conforting him after his forever "3 of swords" dates. AND vice versa for Divus to Sam.... Those little...
-Divus asked Sam countless time rare car's items or parts, and Sam had to ask K to bring them back from their own universe. The Wasteland having numerous automate part and so on.
Program used cps
Divus Crewel and Sam belongs to Twisted Wonderland
And so fairy May is going to end...

I'm not the same anon who asked about the story but I would love to know more about when Clarke finds out Lexa is gay. Love your fics and your blog <3
Thank you bby 💕
Clarke finds out by accident.
Gay serendipity, if you will.
It's on a night about a week or so into her ill-conceived visit home when she's bouncing off the walls of her mother and stepfather's very quiet, very 'Bud Lite is hard alchohol, Clarke', very everyone's already in bed by 9:45pm home.
So she does what her little bisexual heart used to dream of back when she'd be sighing over a mountain of homework that she'd put off until the night when there truly was nothing in podunk town to do. She grabs her keys and drives two towns over to the nearest hole-in-the-wall gay bar.
It's not that she's looking to hookup or anything, but she's banking on the booze being cheaper, the bartender less sleezy, and the music being at least nominally better than any of its close straight counterparts. And she gets a few raised eyebrows at her obviously not-from-around-here attire, but it's find cuz Clarke works well under pressure snd it's no time before she's 3 drinks in and made best friends with the bouncer decked out in leather.
So imagine her shock when she traipses her way toward the bathroom in the back, already mentally planning her gymnastics of how she's gonna pee in this place without actually having to touch anything, when she catches a glimpse of a familiar head of brunette in the corner.
That? Pulls her up short quick as shit. Steps fully grinding to stop, need for a bathroom long forgotten.
Because.... yyyyeah... Ok.
Ok.
That's... That is definitely Lexa.
That is Lexa sitting in the corner of dingy gay bar, wearing that godawful sweater and nursing what looks like a whiskey sour.
The same woman who'd lead every student council anti-drug and alcohol school assembly. The same woman who'd been active in 4-H Club and who'd probably made honor roll when she was still in diapers. The same woman who'd sassed Clarke just a few days prior for being stupid enough to ask if Gus's could manage a cappuccino or an espresso, and had served her up a cup of plain black coffee instead.
With a smile and an offer of her choice between regular or decaf, and the option of store bought hazelnut creamer or sugar free vanilla ("We keep it stocked for Mr. Parker's diabetes" she'd explained for no reason at all) if Clarke would like, because customer service, obviously.
So yeah, that is definitely her sitting there sipping her drink while reading a book in a bar, because of course she would be.
And Clarke approaches her with all the grace of a bull in a china shop, making her way over and plunking down in the small table's spare seat with little more than a, "What in the hell are you doing here?"
Lexa, having far more tact and just a bit less liquor in her system, marks her place with her finger and flips the book closed and greets Clarke with a perfectly friendly, if not tired, "Hello, Clarke."
As though running into each other at gay bar isn't something worth causing Clarke's brain to short circuit.
"What are you doing here?"
"I suspect the same thing as you," Lexa says on the tail end of a dainty sip and rattle of the ice cubes in her drink.
Which, yeah duh, obviously that makes sense, but also, "How— Wha— How did I never know you were..."
"A lesbian?"
It's the way she says it. With just that soft lilt of amusement mixed with a touch of scandal, all glinting eyes in the bar's neon lowlight and those ridiculously full lips pulled up in a secret kind of grin.
It all has Clarke struggling to ignore the sudden swoop of her belly as she sits back in her chair. "Well... yeah," she breathes around the inexplicable feeling that somehow her entire childhood had been a lie. "How did I never know this? How did no one ever know this?"
Lexa just shrugs.
"No one ever bothered to ask."
And that lands like a boulder-sized punch to the gut. Because she's right. And Clarke knows it.
A piece of her aches imagining how lonely that must've felt.
"I'm bi," she finds herself blurting just to fill in the awkward silence that stretches between then and because it suddenly feels important that Lexa know that about her as well.
Lexa must take mercy on her, or maybe it's just pity with the way she nods, like that wasn't a completely redundant and idiotic thing to say considering they are both sitting in a gay bar.
"I know, Clarke."
"Wait, you already knew?"
"Yes."
"Since when?"
"I'm honestly not sure."
"We did— You and I, we never talked... How exactly did you know then?"
She hums and tips back another sip. "Hm... In the wise words of a great thinker that came before me, 'One can observe a lot just by watching'."
Clarke can't help the roll of her eyes, because of course Lexa would still spout philosophical crap when drinking whiskey. "What does that— Is that some kind of zen shit or something?"
"Mmm, close," Lexa says in a quiet laugh. "Yogi Berra. Dad's a big baseball history fanatic."
Right.
She should've expected something like that.
Because Clarke is in fact still talking to the Alexandria Woods. The one who can't seem to manage to just be normal at any goddamn point in her life. But as perplexing as this woman is - as she's always been, apparently - that still doesn't answer her question.
"Okaaay. So, what? Are you saying I was obvious?"
Lexa's eyes feel magnetic. Dangerous at how they pin Clarke under their stare. The few seconds it takes for Lexa to slowly shake her head feel like an eternity in Clarke's mind before she offers up nothing more than simple, "No."
Clarke has no idea what to make of that answer.
And Clarke decides right then that maybe she's too drunk for all this. For this woman and her riddles and her general weird ass confusing... ness. Maybe her brain is just too addled by cheap beer and the faint scent of cigarettes to make sense of the night's revelations on top of the look Lexa sits there and gives her.
Or why it has her body getting warm and tingly from the inside...
So she excuses herself in the form of a scraping chair legs across the linoleum and an eloquent declaration of her suddenly dire need to pee.
Lexa takes it stride. As though she'd been expecting as much all along, not missing a beat as she flips her book back open and goes right back to her saved spot on the page.
Clarke can only manage a grunt in return in her haste to get some air when Lexa quietly tells her to get home safe.

Dom x Colson (Yungblud x Machine Gun Kelly)
Warnings: Nothing really, sorry guys this chapter is all fluff! Swearing, feminization, drug use, a little grinding and kisses but this is just a happy fluff chapter 🖤 Rating: PG-13
Neither of them had ever been the type to plan things out. No, they were wild at heart and deficient of attention and a little mental at times. Perhaps that was why even though they'd been engaged for over a year and desperate to claim each other in every way possible they still weren't married on paper. They'd made plenty of jokes, the idea of running away to Vegas came up constantly or just going to the court house, but Dom thought Colson wanted something showier and Kells was positive his Dominic wanted to dress up. They were both so terrified of disappointing the other that they never even asked and it just got swept under the rug over and over again. That is until some of their friends took it upon themselves to get the boys absolutely shit faced.
It was interesting because though their friends were around each other frequently they hadn't exactly intermingled, which is why it took so long for any of them to realize the two gave about the same amount of fucks as to how they got hitched, they just wanted to be together. Mod had asked Tom to help him with a video shoot and while editing they'd begun to talk. It didn't take long before they were complaining about their respective boy problems, how their best friend was constantly whining about still just being engaged. For Dom it was sadness and worry over actresses trying to steal his man for arm candy and for Col it was self hatred for not doing right by his bitch but ultimately they found they faced the exact same problem. They needed better friends.
No, they realized neither cared how it happened, they just wanted the end result and it got the two from bitching to calculating to actually setting something up. Of course it would have to start with lots and lots of alcohol.
That's how Dom and Col found themselves three sheets to the wind and window shopping little white chapels under the painfully bright lights of the Strip. They were dressed to the nines though they barely remembered how they got that way and stumbling over themselves. Mod was attempting to be the designated decider and Tom was leading them, his back to the world as he snapped booze soaked memories for when they couldn't recall a thing later. They were all buzzing with excitement and worried at the pain they might cause other people but the wedded pair-to-be had been kidnapped and couldn't change a thing- yet another calculation. They both knew they'd thank their friends for it later. No matter what they said it was a personal experience and they didn't need anyone else watching.
"Daddy look!" The boy slurred, pointing one of his white latex covered fingers at the perfect chapel. It was hot pink and precious with a rock n roll vibe and there was an Elvis impersonator smoking a joint on the steps. It felt like a sign to his liquor addled mind and he jumped happily in his platform ivory creepers.
Col laughed and pulled his lover close, giving him yet another once over. The all white still made him smirk but it was the sluttiest wedding dress he'd ever seen. Honestly it's what he pictured strippers wearing at stag parties. Bone pale fishnet clung to his skin in a long sleeve top, barely covered by a ripped to shreds and safety pinned tee. The tutu was cute though, he had to admit and more than anything he just wanted to bend the punk over and see what panties he picked.
He was dressed much more relaxed but no less on point, a red suit to match his baby's hair and a white button up underneath, with his patent alabaster docs to finish it up. Dom had actually drooled when their friends took the blindfolds off, they'd meant to leave them on until they were in a church but they were both getting too frisky in the car and it was almost impossible to lead them around even with their vision working. "It's perfect doll." He sighed back, trying to pull his princess in for a kiss but his BFF stepped in and yanked the punk away.
"Shit guys, we're literally feet away. You can wait. Come on babe you can walk with me." The rocker tugged at Dom's shiny white palm and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. He got them a few feet in front of the grumbling rapper and whispered- "You look beautiful. Thank you for taking care of him." The kid sniffled, holding back his emotions because he refused to mess up his makeup and while he didn't completely agree with the statement, he could admit they took care of each other. That's what it was all about though wasn't it?
The King impersonator choked on a toke when they stopped in front of him, his brows going high behind his glasses. "Holy sh- Mama!" The man caught himself halfway through cursing and tried to pull his facade back. Kells reached to shake his hand and steal his weed. "What can I do for y'all?"
Colson arched a brow as he took a deep drag, teasingly looking between the chapel and his bride. "Here to buy a car obviously. What do you think?" It wasn't his best sarcastic line, he was a little too drunk but the guy laughed nervously anyway which was good enough for him.
"Play nice luv, it's our wedding night." Dom pouted trying to curl himself around his daddy but Derek pulled him back, grumbling about needing child backpack leashes on them both.
"Oh, awesome!" The Elvis grinned, seemingly giving up on the act. "Come on, I'll give you guys the full package on the house!" He pulled his leather jacket up to reveal a sleeve of music themed tattoos. A few that made them realize he was probably acting so flustered because he was a fan and some that implied he was definitely batting for their team. "Seriously, I'll take care of you. You guys fucking rock! Can I just say..." He started nervously. "I totally called this from your first video!" Kells chuckled and his bride-to-be agreed.
"You're not giving my bitch the full package kid." Colson joked, giving the actor a wink when he blushed and Dom tried to swat him.
"Don't fuck 'is up. You give 'im a 'eart attack who's gonna marry us?"
"Then let's fucking go. Wanna fuck you already." Col whined back, the poor officiate was blushing so hot he was probably sweating. The neon above made him look cherry red.
"Charming. That's exactly wha' a bride wants to 'ear." Dominic rolled his eyes but honestly he was flattered, he always was. He loved how much his daddy needed him. After all, it was just as bad for him. Already he could feel his lace thong a mess of precum and he felt pussy wet as his very soon husband liked to say.
The impersonator led them inside and Mod kept them separate as best he could until they reached the main room and he dragged the rapper away. "Literally two seconds and you'll be back together. Fuck you guys, you're obsessed." He chuckled as the doors shut behind them and Dom was left with his best friend and the camera he hadn't put down.
"You look beautiful." The man smiled, lowering his hand and reaching to fix the singer's veil with the other. It was attached with a cute little tiara, marking him the princess Col called him all the time.
"Yeah?" He asked, his eyes misting and his heart racing in his chest. They didn't need to talk much, they knew each other better than that and Tom was one of the only people the punk could just be quiet with. "Fank you for 'is. Not sure we ever woulda figured it out." He huffed, fidgeting with his skirt.
"No shit." He thought he caught the man sigh but it was so quiet he let him grumble to himself and he laughed when his friend offered his arm. "Someone has to give you to the bastard. Might as well be me."
He could tell Tommy was more emotional than he was letting on, he always was. He was right though, it shouldn't be anyone else. "Course it would be you." Dom beamed. "You kept us together luv." It was true, he knew the photographer had been pulling their puppet strings almost since day one. Tom was the one who told him he had to do the collaboration, he told Colson to go to London when the singer wouldn't answer his phone, he texted the rapper to join them on tour when Dom was feeling too bad about everything, he helped them with their entire relationship really and without him they wouldn't even be in Vegas. "Ain't no one I'd rather 'ave wiv me."
They were so wrapped up in their moment they both startled when the music started up and the door opened. Right inside was a drag queen who looked like a pin-up model and she handed Dom a bouquet of black and red roses before disappearing again. Yeah, this was the perfect place for them. Jade eyes took in the room, four empty pews and a little stage at the front. It was small and kitschy, something akin to an old rock club mixed with a disco and he couldn't help but wonder if they'd let him shoot a video here someday but nothing else mattered when his gaze found his lover. Everything went quiet and he felt himself calmed. It felt like his whole life led to this.
Kells smiled when their eyes met, his fiancé was perfect and he just wanted to get this over with so he could get his boy back to bed where they belonged. Of course he wanted to be married but he didn't care about the showy part all that much, he just wanted to call his bitch his. Derek was next to him, playing an electric guitar he found somewhere and the Elvis was on his other side, still shaking like a leaf.
Dom knew he was supposed to step carefully and slow but he'd never been either of those things and he wasn't about to start. His arm linked with Tom's and his fist gripped the flowers tight and he stomped down the aisle the same way he entered Col's house all that time before. Tom huffed but was smiling so wide, for once his camera laid forgotten around his neck. He could take more pictures after, this he wanted to be present for, not live through a lense. The closer they got the better Dom felt and when he was finally at his partner's side he could only think of one thing to say. "'Ere's me Machine Gun."
Kells felt his eyes burn with unshed tears, fuck his baby knew exactly what would get him. The whole trip he'd been thinking over their relationship and remembering the story of how they'd met. It felt like it all started with that, 'Where's the Machine Gun?' and their night would end with Dom being his Mrs. But first Tom had to actually give the kid away. He held his hand out as the officiant stuttered through the script but he barely heard a word. Everything felt like a blur around him but that boy he loved so much.
"I do." Tom sniffled when asked who gave Dom away and with one last squeeze to his hand and a kiss to his cheek that Colson growled about he let his friend go and handed him over. "Always trusted you with him."
That made the rapper grin and he nodded his thanks but he couldn't take his eyes off his queen. He looked like sin in snow white taffeta and latex and he felt his cock jerk in his too tight crimson pants. Those raven painted lips mouthed 'I love you' but when he moved in for a kiss he was stopped by a flash from Tom's camera.
They were both calmer than they thought possible and unable to look anywhere else but somehow as drunk and needy as they felt they recited everything they were told. When the fan paused and asked if they had their own vows Dom blushed but nodded fast, of course tradition wasn't enough. They hadn't been conventional since the day they were born and they wouldn't start with something so important. For the first time that night the punk felt truly nervous. How could he sum up everything his lover meant to him?
His breath shook and he handed the impersonator his bouquet, curling both his palms in his fiancé's. "I didn't fink I'd ever learn 'ow to love. Wiv 'ow I grew up I fhought… I fhought I weren't worthy. I craved belonging so bad I started a bloody band." He laughed wetly, he couldn't stop the tears anymore. He just hoped his eyeliner held up. "I fink I were in love wiv yas from the moment we first met. You… you give me wha' no one else can. I feel complete wiv yas. You make me feel safe and loved and accepted and… fuck I barely know wha' to say tha' I don't tell ya all the time. You keep me sane. You… you 'elp me love me'self and when I can't do it you do. You the love of me life Colson. You every'fin."
Kells cleared his throat, fighting the lump that threatened to choke him. He didn't want to cry like a bitch but he didn't know if he could help it. His hands shook with pent up emotions and Dom squeezed him tighter, his pillow soft smile and heart eyed stare gave him strength. "I didn't have anything to live for before you stomped into my life and took up all the fucking space. No one shines as bright as you baby, nothing makes me feel as much. All this doesn't matter to me but I'd do anything to make you smile at me like you are right now. When shit gets tough you're what keeps me going. You inspire me every fucking day, and when I need it you kick my ass just right. You ground me when nothing else does and I just… you know I didn't have anything growing up and I thought I couldn't love right… that something was wrong inside me. You showed me my heart bitch. Without you I'm nothing and fuck I just… I just want to start our lives together and have a family with you. You're it babe, you're everything."
Dom didn't know how he made it through all of it without bawling but he stayed mostly composed until their friends produced two simple platinum bands. This whole night had obviously been carefully planned out down to his undergarments even and while maybe they both didn't think they understood love until each other, they knew they had been deeply loved for years. He took the larger one with trembling fingers, glad for the grip of the latex or it would be lost and he slid it carefully on his lover's hand, hearing the two most important words his man would ever say to him. "I do." When the question was turned on him and Colson was trying to work the glove off his hand he couldn't help but giggle.
Col almost growled when his boy slipped the latex between his teeth but he bit down on the fabric and held tight. His hand quivered as he took the ring and slipped it on his baby's finger, the first tear breaking free when his boyfriend repeated those words and he felt it like a brand on his soul. "I do."
They beamed at each other as Elvis finally exclaimed- "You may now kiss the bride." They even laughed at the cornily added "Huba huba, thank ya very much!" but Col was already scrambling to get the veil up and spit the glove out of his mouth. Dom went up on tiptoes as Colson bent down and when their lips met the universe went quiet and warm around them. They swore the world held its breath. They couldn't keep it chaste of course and Dom felt his daddy's touch ghost down his spine before his palms were groping hard at his bare ass and he was pulled flush against him. His lips parted on a gasp and their tongues explored, they knew every inch of each other but somehow it still felt new. Different but so much the same.
They broke apart panting and the four people present clapped, the poor Elvis seemed even more flustered than when they first met but he stuttered out- "May I present for the first time- Mr. And Mrs. Machine Gun?" His voice went up at the end like a question and Kells nodded. Dom giggled and swat playfully at his man's shoulder.
"I'll allow it for tonight but I don't know if I'm taking ya name luv." The boy rolled his eyes and yanked him down closer again. "Guess wha'?"
"What darling?" He hummed back, his voice a drawl as if just being around the actor made him take the accent on. He trailed kisses over the punk's cheek and held him close. He didn't think he'd let him go again all night. If ever.
"You me 'usband." His voice was almost a squeak he was so happy and with the revelation Col's heart skipped a beat. His palms tightened and he lifted as Dom hopped until strong thick thighs were wrapped around his waist.
"Shit you're right. Wife." He purred back, his gaze searching the chapel for somewhere they could hide away for a quickie.
"Mmm, 'usband say it again." Dom's breath hitched, his dick twitching in his too tight white lace thong.
He was so tempted to make a Borat joke but he could feel the bulge pressed against his belly and he was desperate not to ruin the mood. "Wife. Fuck need to find a place to hide for a few so I can make you a momma too." He teased with a wink.
"Guys! Hotel! We got you a fucking hotel not five minutes from here." Mod groaned, hooking his finger in the neck of Colson's jacket. "Tell the nice Elvis thank you and keep it in your pants for just a few more minutes please?"
They giggled together but did as they were told, both shaking hands with the impersonator and drag queen and they promised to tag them if they posted any pictures. It didn't take long but it still felt like eternity until the desert air was on them again and Tom was leading them down the Strip. "We'd ask if you wanted to party but…" Derek trailed off but they were barely paying attention to anything but each other. Colson truly didn't know how he was even walking straight with Dom almost grinding against him.
"Oh we'll party just not with you, no offense. Maybe breakfast?" He shrugged, his voice going thready when his husband started nibbling his ear. "Shit- brunch!" He corrected, his breath coming faster. He could make it though, he knew he could. They'd get to the hotel and spend their first night of wedded bliss buried deep in each other. He knew his words were probably a lie, they may not come out for days and they all knew it. No, it was the first night of the rest of their lives and they planned to spend it exactly as they always hoped to be, part of each other.

Asakusa Adventures part one:
2/1 dinner with friends and 2/2 Senso-ji Temple
After leaving Ochanomizu, Charles and I took the train to Asakusa, our next stop in Tokyo. We had dinner plans to meet with a friend and her family that night, and we planned to explore the area the following day (which is yesterday, at the time of writing!)
Our friend, Penko, her husband As'maria, and two sons took us to Asakusa Ichimon, which is a super traditional restaurant. It was featured in the movie Shin Ultraman which came out in 2022, and Charles really wanted to visit it as a film location, but before we could even mention it to her, she was already suggesting that we should all go together, and so we did!

The interior was amazing, I wish we had taken more photos. Taking photos inside establishments can sometimes be difficult, privacy is much more significant of a cultural consideration than in the US and we don't want to take photos of other patrons. It was a lot of gorgeous, dark wood, short, low to the ground tables, tatami mats, and floor chairs. There was a super zen, indoor water feature too, which was pretty cool, to put it mildly.

I don't even begin to know how to describe how tasty the food was; there was a huge menu of sakes (Japanese style alcohol, think sort of like a "rice wine" even though that's not strictly accurate) and shochu (more like a liquor), almost all, if not all of which, we'd never seen before in the states. The entire meal was a like...5 course experience, starting with a small appetizer of fruit, tofu, fish egg and beans (in honor of the Setsubun holiday, which is today [2/3] at time of writing!) all the way to a hot pot of tuna, leek, mushrooms and more. Genuinely everything was like, beyond delicious, and it was sooooo much food, without ever making us feel like we were totally gonna pop (although it was close). There was also a beef dish mid meal that was the first beef Charles had eaten in close to two decades, and it was worth it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was also really really special to get to spend the time getting to know Penko and her family better; I first met her here on tumblr actually, maybe....gosh, I don't know, 8 years ago? give or take a year? through a mutual fandom (we were both fans of a specific pairing in a video game called Danganronpa, where she was a very popular fan-artist at the time). Since then, we've met her in Japan a few times on trips, and we've slowly gotten to know her family over the last few years. After our engagement, Penko actually drew some lovely art for us as a congratulations; if you were at our wedding, we had it displayed near our guestbook :P
Tumblr media
The following day, we spent exploring around our Airbnb in Asakusa, as well as visiting Tokyo Skytree. Our stay was on the second floor, above a restaurant, right in the heart of the district.
Tumblr media
We started the morning early at Cafe Royal, a super old-school Showa-era coffee shop built in the early 1960s. We had coffees and breakfast there, and their specialty Royal Coffee has to have been one of the best coffees I've ever had. It almost reminded me of dark chocolate in terms of its acidity and smoothness. It was truly awesome.

Afterwards, we spent some time shopping at Uniqlo, a Japanese clothing store (there are some in the states too, if you're curious!) My favorite pair of jeans ripped badly on the plane, and I wanted to replace them, so I bought a new pair at Uniqlo, as well as some of their warm layering clothing, which they're well known for, to stave off the February chill. Charles also got some warm winter wear, so we're both totally topped off for the rest of the trip with trendy heat-tech goodies.
We also wandered around the streets and streets and STREETS of Asakusa's extensive shopping and food district surrounding the massive, gorgeous Senso-ji temple. One thing I love about Japan is that these huge shopping districts often have covered roofs over the streets so even if it's raining or kinda crappy weather, you can still walk freely across blocks without too much trouble. We were mostly window shopping, but we definitely stopped for a few treats.

From there, we headed to Tokyo Skytree, stay tuned for our next post!

like. idk. im fucking pissed about everywhere not being open anymore. it feels hollow and empty and awful. there are no late-night coffee shops. there are no 24/7 groceries. there are maybe two pharmacies that are open until midnight. pizza shops maybe open until 3 but they’re not like. a place you can sit down in. one restaurant open until 3. cafes? you’re joking. dispensaries? close at 9, closer to 5 if you’re unlucky. liquor stores? it’s only the small private ones that stay open past 9 and even then it’s until 10, and they’re not always quick close and easy to get to. pharmacies again—there are maybe two in the city that are open until 12pm. I tried to go to the grocery to get gravol one night and the store was open til 10 but the pharmacy closed at 8, and when the pharmacy closed, they locked up some of the meds, including gravol, and grocery staff couldn’t access it even on request, so the only options were a 3k walk to the next late-hours pharmacy, or just fucking. suffer. until 9am.
and i really really hate the arguments constantly made of “workers don’t want to work those dead hours!!! they don’t want to be there overnight!” because like i have absolutely zero doubt that that is true for a lot of workers. but most bars close at 10 on weekdays and don’t go later than midnight even on weekends. coffee shops close at 9 at the absolute latest. there are no public spaces and places. it’s canada, it’s fucking cold, no one’s out sitting and enjoying an evening in the park. it’s all just funnelling people back to their homes.
i am not asking for everywhere to be open late or 24/7. workers deserve a life.
but people should not be punished for operating on different time schedules, and having at least some options would be lovely.
(also—i would drasticallly rather work night shifts than days a lot of the time. i know a lot of similar people.)
let alone—shift workers have zero options, frankly even 9-5ers don’t always have options because like. the banks close at 4 or 5 every day and I can only think of one branch that does the traditional “open late on Thursdays”.
i hadn’t really thought about it before but punitive really is the right word for how it feels. if you’re awake at night for any reason, it just. sucks to be you, don’t do that again. you are tacitly pressured into either following the good old daytime schedule “like everyone else” or essentially prevented from being social and visible. or even accessing necessary services. like. having to be awake early in the day genuinely makes my mental health worse. but on the other hand, if i’m not awake before 2pm, i have a grand total of 3 hours in which to get any/all/most of my business done. it’s horrible. i hate it i hate it i hate it and i’m mad.

November Rain | Izzy Stradlin x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
AO3 Link<3
Word count: 1135
A/N: I'm finally done with this fanfiction. I can finally post the first chapter of the Duff Mckagan x reader story.
Summary: You and Izzy decided to walk together in the rain. This takes place in the early 90s. This is all in Izzy's point of view.
November 13th, 1993, 7:00 PM
It was night time, I was wearing a white, large sized jacket with a hoodie since I was pretty windy outside and I was wearing a gray backpack. I was at the liquor store, buying some snacks for when I get home. I would shop at that store that (Y/N) works at but it was about to close.
I gave the cashier about five bucks.
"Have a good day!" The cashier said.
"You too." I said back to cashier.
I walked out of the store with the bag of my snacks in my right hand. Suddenly, I felt it sprinkling on my shoulder. That's odd. Right I was about to look up, it started to rain. Thank god, I was still standing under the roof of the liquor store. It was raining pretty hard. The wind was blowing pretty hard to the point where the leaves were coming off the trees.
Thank God, I saw the weather on the weather channel and brought an umbrella just in case. The umbrella was in my backpack. I took my backpack off, open it and grabbed my black umbrella. I took it out, opened it and put it over my head.
I looked to my right and I saw (Y/N) walking from a block away. She was still wearing her work clothes. I'm guessing she didn't get any extra clothes. Is she coming this way?
_________
She was walking while talking to someone. She and her friend stopped in front of the liquor store. I was staring at her. Does she know I'm there? "I'll see you tomorrow, Rebecca." (Y/N) waved at her coworker who was walking to her home. (Y/N) was just standing there all by herself.
"Hey (Y/N)." I said to her. I walked up to her, away from the rooftop. I was standing next to her with the umbrella still over my head. "H-Hi Izzy." She said. Her arms were crossed because it was cold. I checked her out, just to see that she doesn't have an umbrella or a jacket on. "Where's your jacket?" I asked her as I pointed at her.
"I forgot my jacket and umbrella at home." She told me. Well, that was obvious. "I didn't know it was going to rain later." She place her hand on her cheek and started going up and down. She felt pretty embarrassed. "You can stand under my umbrella." I said. She walked to me so that she can stand under my umbrella. She was next to me, under my umbrella. "Where is your house?" I asked her.
"It's a couple of blocks away." She said. "Just keep on walking straight." She added on. "Okay." I looked away from her and I look straight ahead.
We both started walking straight. She was on the side of me, walking with me. We were walking for a minute or two and it was getting tired of hearing the wind blowing in the distance, the t leaves in the trees rustling, and the rain pouring. Maybe I should make conversation with her. "So how was your shift?" I asked her.
"It was awful as usual." She said in an angry tone. "I had to deal with a lot of angry customers--" Before she was about to finish her sentence, she jumped into a big puddle. I stopped walking as soon the water hit me. I looked down to see that the water did indeed get me. The water splashed all over my pants and shoes and it also splashed on (Y/N)'s clothes but she didn't mind. "Now my pants and shoes are wet. Thanks (Y/N)." I groaned. She laughed a little. We started to walk again. "Like I was saying, I had to deal with alot of angry customers. There was this girl that kept on yelling at me because I told her that her card declined." She was looking at me. I looked at her back.
"Then she told me that she could get the turkey for free because it's Thanksgiving month." She was getting angrier. "Then she demanded me to speak to the manager, it was very aggravating." She facepalm in anger. "I know, people suck." I agreed with her. People are assholes sometimes.
I reached in my bag and I grab a Snickers bars. I put the candy bar in her face and said, "Do you want a snack?" She looked at me confused.
"I'm not in the mood for candy." She declined. I'm kinda glad that she said no because I wanted the Snickers bar. I opened the Snickers bar and took a bite out of it. It was delicious.
I took a small bag of Tortilla chips out of the bag and tried to hand it to (Y/N). She turned her head a little to looked at the bag. "How about some chips?" I asked with my mouth still feel of Snickers. "Ok." She grab the chips out of my hand and open the bag. She was eating the chips but she was eating the chips with her mouth open. I later swallowed the food. "You chew so loud." I pointed out. I could barely hear myself talk, that's how loud she was chewing. "Sorry, I haven't ate anything all day." She said, she continue to eat the chips with her mouth open. There was crumbs all over her work clothes.
________
Minutes later, we were still walking. A few seconds, (Y/N) stopped in front of a white house with a grey roof. She stopped walking so I figured I stopped too. I look at the house a little more. It was an apartment complex house with one grey door. It was pretty big apartment. It had a porch light, a welcome mat, and a garden in the front yard.
"So, I guess this is where you live." I said as I stopped looking at the apartment. "Thanks for walking me here, Izzy. I appreciate it." She thanked me. She looked at me and smiled
"No problem." I smiled back slightly.
She kissed me on the cheek. I started to blush a little. I put my hand on my cheek where she kissed me at and rub it a little.
"Bye Izzy." She walked up the little steps to her door. Going through her purse, she found her house keys and unlocked the door. "I'll see you tomorrow, I guess." I smiled at me. She has such a pretty smile.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." I waved at her with my left hand. She went inside her house and shut the door. Now, it's time to walk back home.

I was hoping after all the time I spent discussing Mahiru I wouldn't have to discuss her again but that gif changes things. As we see in the gif Mahiru's alleged boyfriend was feeding her something.
However, given everything we know from her trial one mv about what they've done together. It's unlikely they were actually dating and this gif is exactly what I needed to figure out what the hell happened here.
So, let's look at everyday Mahiru saw this man and her behaviors under one new lens before I Love You releases.
Day 3
Tumblr media
On the terrace at university, when I met eyes with that person I knew it must be fate. I might have been born purely so I could one day end up together with him. Or not, am I just overthinking things?
Mahiru claims to have met eyes with the man from her university terrace. Now while this statement is looking to more than likely be true-
Let's talk about hosts/hostesses and some of the methods they use to pick up new clients. These sorts of people can advertise business in many places. However, they tend to do it in busy areas where they're more than likely capable of pulling in new clientele. Mahiru doesn't really show us much of her college campus.
However, we can discern from this line,
"I went to a coffee shop I saw in a magazine. I’ve always wanted to become “a regular” for something like this. I only just arrived in Tokyo recently, so everything seems so new and fun. Now if only there was love on the horizon too there’d be nothing else to say. Just kidding."
Coupled with the consistent focus on her walking around and how she highlights that the places she's going to are so within not just her general area but the person she is interested in as well that she keeps running into the man she sees this day in other areas.
It's likely she's in a dense area where most places are within walking distance from her home. Meaning there are probably a lot of people frequently hanging out at the university terrace in between classes. This could be because there are a lot of shops near it or they're there to sit outside and study just as Mahiru is shown doing here before she sees this person.
This could make it a pretty good area for that sort of thing.
Now, it's difficult to say for sure if he's a host or not. Because Mahiru does things with him that would lead one to believe they're rather close and it's a normal college relationship. Such as,
Tumblr media
Today I started talking to him by chance, and he told me that his hobby is running. Without thinking I took a chance where I saw it and told him “I’m interested too!” So now we’re going to go running together. Even though I’m really bad at exercise…… I’ve never run so much in my life. Totally exhausted.
Don’t lose focus even when exercising! The pastel tones mean not only do you look ready to go but also give off a cute oneesan appeal.
Yet at times he also does some things that could clock as questionable. Such as the time they go out drinking Mahiru says that he drinks himself into unconsciousness many thought this could imply a drinking issue but if he worked at the place, he brought Mahiru to he could get paid more depending on the number of drinks she buys.
Since, hosts are usually paid on commission depending on how many drinks are sold.
Tumblr media
It’s my first time going on a date to a bar, so my heart was pounding. I found out today that he’s actually not very good with alcohol. Or actually, maybe it’s just that I’m strong? He was super cute even while drinking himself unconscious!
Corpse Reviver Brandy Apple Brandy Italian Vermouth
For a date at the bar, be careful to make sure your face can be seen! Mix silver and gold accessories for added charm, and style your hair while wet for a more adult look. Dress, bag, pumps, earrings / All personal possessions
And Mahiru bought a lot of alcohol which would be a lot of money in his pocket and out of hers. So, she's probably not just "good at handling her liquor" since he could have been actively taking advantage.
This is where the missing day one could come into play. It's heavily implied that on day 2 Mahiru had already interacted with the one she loves,
Day. 2
Tumblr media
An easy-going dress goes perfectly with the spring weather. The natural colour of the pistachio green will make you stand out as being refined! Sandals on your feet and a relaxed smile on your face♡ Blouse, dress, bag, sandals, bangles / All personal possessions
On a morning when it looks like something new’s about to start, make sure you’re ready with a café late
I went to a coffee shop I saw in a magazine. I’ve always wanted to become “a regular” for something like this. I only just arrived in Tokyo recently, so everything seems so new and fun. Now if only there was love on the horizon too there’d be nothing else to say. Just kidding.
This means there's a chance that she ran into him before everything else is shown at his host job. That could be the scene in the gif we see. Something not helped by the fact that they go out drinking together directly after the vague confession scene.
He works at that convenience store though. So, how could he be a host as well as a college student? Well, you'd be surprised what someone can do with good scheduling skills. However, he also may not be a college student. Also, people can have two jobs that they work on separate days.
So, probably on the days he's not working as a host he's working at that convenience store. I'd be like well how did Mahiru find that out but as it's highlighted through This Is How To Be In Love With You they live in the same area it's not exactly weird for her to come across him. Especially if he works in a convenience store near by which is implied because once again she seems to have walked there from her place of residence.
This would also explain why despite being given an allowance from her parents she's shown to have been looking into parttime work,
Day. 6
Tumblr media
point: simple nail
I started a part-time job at the flower shop I’ve been really interested in. Would you believe it, the person I’m interested in walked past. I wonder if he’ll come in someday. I’m now even more excited about going in to work. Not just that, even. Every day is exciting.
Work-style casual outfit that lets you move around easily. Use earrings to give it a personal touch♡ Shirt, pants, apron, sneakers, earrings / All personal possessions
If she had seen him before and wasted a lot of money on spending time with him, she may have looked for extra sources of income outside of her family to afford to spend time with him again later. Which she certainly spent on that drinking date.
Corpse Reviver is a cocktail but the rest of those could be bottles Mahiru please-
After all this time and possibly money she spent on him she worked up the courage to confess. That didn't go well but she could at least still meet him in the way she wanted through his other job.
This is why Mahiru's focus when going to the hairdresser is him not noticing.
Tumblr media
Can’t go without my regular maintenance! ……he’s not the brightest, so hasn’t noticed though. The beautician I go to is actually my advisor when it comes to love too. She’s taught me so much……
Have fun spending a day to yourself to recharge all your feminine charms. The combination of beige and pink will make you love yourself as well. Hoodie, skirt, boots, bag, earrings / All personal possessions
If the hairdresser is involved or even dating this guy since Mahiru claims to have learned so much from her and she is the only other person we see in this video outside Mahiru and her love. Then she could have used her to get into their house, this could be why she says he hasn't noticed yet. If she says she's seen him around campus, and they've gone running together like she presents to us this lady wouldn't really be suspicious of that but the guy knowing better might rightfully be upset.
Especially if he's keeping his second job a secret.
Yuno's case shows us that guys can pay for dates. So, why wouldn't women be able to? Every date they went on Mahiru could have been footing the bill and paying him on top of it. For all we know the begging that she refers to when it came to him to going on the cinema date could have been her needing to pay him more to do something like that.
This would explain why they seem to be set up further away from everyone else off on their own as well. This is more out in the open at a public event, something that someone in that work would be rightfully uncomfortable with doing. Especially if they already have someone they are committed to.
We see in Tear Drop and Umbilical that all of Yuno's outings are rather private affairs never anything as flashy as oh no-
Mahiru: An outdoor cinema date with him under the stars. How stylish!
Q.06 What’s your ideal date?
Yuno: Actually, just going to a park or something might be nice.
Both these instances highlight a need to have their relationships seen by others in a public setting instead of being shelved off to the side like a secret. We see Yuno in cars, hotels, rented karaoke rooms the closest we get to seeing her outside with a client is the instance she's being gifted that plush rabbit.
So, Mahiru may have highlighted him in this scene because it's the first time he went out with her where other people could see them.
It seems that he may have picked her up when she got here seeing her as easy money. Then Mahiru saw him around her campus and conflated it to fate. At which point she decided to try to create a relationship with him outside of his work. That possibly failed because he's either already with someone or was only interested in being friends but after all the time and money Mahiru put into it that'd be a bit difficult to let go.
We already see on day four that just him being around causes her to start excessively spending/buying stuff he likes in excess.
Day. 4
Tumblr media
point: Hair Style
I ran into the person I’m interested in at the bread shop. This has to be fate, right? In the end I ended up buying the same bread as he got, but I maybe don’t need this much… > < I wasn’t thinking about the calories.
Give off a fresh impression with a cheerful orange♡ Hair in a half-up style using gold to capture their attention. Blouse, pants, bag, bangles, earrings, hair accessory / All personal possessions
Just like you didn't need all that alcohol...
Equating spending money on things he likes with getting his attention which... Well, I wonder where she'd get an idea like that from.
