Osyron is a God, however a not that high ranking one and with Lydia they manage the Crystaleon dorm together… previously they were a couple and kept the balance in the dorm together… However, Lydia felt more and more like the dorm members she supervised got shoved away in favor of Osyron’s allied dorm members. They had fights if they were to stay in HSA then they would have to find an occupation both dorm leaders can agree on and cause they didn’t and the teachers couldn’t help out either… They moved to RSA. Since then both manage the dorm separately. 

Osyron is very blunt and assertive. He can be calm and kind but piss him off once and he is scary and intimidating. He judges pretty easily but he also wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice his well being if there is somebody he cares about. Most of the time he stays quiet but when there is an opinion he doesn’t agree with… he lashes out quickly. All in all he wishes for a world where peace reigns and humans understand each other. But he has hard to achieve it with how he behaves himself. Most of his magic is light based.

Lack of trust.

Lumina's relationships mostly stem from the fact that she knows she can trust them with her feelings, and thus feels like that admitting anything romantic openly would make them uncomfortable

Her s/o needs to be someone she can trust very much, a person she can find comfort in

If her s/o is someone she can trust at the start of the relationship, then that's a problem

Because of Lumina's instinct

Cause she'll eventually have a certain instinct that her own significant other can't be trusted with her secrets, nor her feelings

And so, she'd use her unique magic for them to forget their relationship entirely

Loyalty(Platonic)

As bitchy as it sounds, she genuinely has a reason for this

When it comes to relationships with others, especially when she was younger, Victoria struggled to befriend other people

Hence, why she only had one friend growing up until she met Vil

Not only does she expect loyalty from others, she expects loyalty from herself

Victoria struggles when it comes to make decisions since there are times where certain thoughts lead to violence, not to mention her inferiority complex

And that's why she feels like she has to expect loyalty from herself in order to properly maintain a friendship with anyone

Painfully honest, but gentle(romantic)

I'll be completely honest, this woman wants someone who outwardly calls her out and is blunt about everything and means everything they say

She has no idea where exactly she got this type of expectation from, but she's sticking with it either way

But, she also wants someone gentle and kind

She grew up living with an emotionally controlling grandmother who had unrealistic expectations for her because she's the only child in her family

So to Victoria, someone gentle and kind to her is a breath of fresh air after having to live with that kind of person

She wants someone kind, but she also wants someone who doesn't hesitate to question her morality and help her get over any unhealthy habits

{ Azrail: 🍊 } { What's their favorite, and least favorite food? }

Favorite Food: Pomegranates

Has absolutely no reason to like pomegranates other than the way it tastes

He hates the seeds tho, they get stuck in his teeth

Azrail's the type of person to hack into a security system while slurping spicy ramen and not feel anything spicy whatsoever, but he's also the kind of person who'd make pomegranate bunnies

He sometimes has a pocket knife with his just in case he needs to slice open the pomegranate

And so he can remove the seeds

Least Favorite Food: Chicken Soup

He literally has no reason to hate chicken soup as much as he does

Like- no one can pinpoint WHEN that hatred for soup even happened

Either way though, don't feed him chicken soup when he's sick

He'd rather have a soup that tastes like shit because of a potion

e absolutely despises the smell and taste of the soup that it makes him feel like shit

Not even Dimitri knows why he's like this-

He'd probably hiss like a snake if he smelled chicken soup at a food court or cafeteria tbh-

Pretty well actually

He's usually alone in the infirmary the whole day so he has plenty of time to work on his emotions

Even though everyone's freaked out by the fact that he literally has a straight face the entire time

I'd say he'd have good control with everyone who isn't Crowley

Holy shit does he hate that man for reasons other than not paying him enough

Not only does he barely give him a paycheck nowadays even when he's doing overtime, Crowley's shenanigans ends with several students in the infirmary

The man would lose all sense of control in his presence that it's between funny or scary

Music, Spells, Cities

Reasons:

Music: She feels creeped out by complete silence because whenever her governess leaves after literally treating her like shit, she cries and the only company she has.... Is silence

BRACKET REVEAL

Alright. At long last, I present to you the bracket...or should I say...*BRACKETS* for the Virtual Character Tournament!

Given the scale, the first round is going to be one bracket per week, 4 a day, with each lasting 24 hours. I know that this is still tight, but given how many contestants there are, along with the necessary inclusions of images and propaganda (oh and I guess also my job), it's what I can do to keep this semi-manageable. Pumpkin Jamboree

So, first things first. HUGE thanks to @just-a-pansy for allowing me to use his rival children for this prompt! You should definitely check them all out if you haven't already! The story is below the cut to be sure proper thanks were given. Please enjoy!

It felt surreal to you sometimes. What were the odds of so many of you having children around the same time frame? You couldn’t say you weren’t happy that things worked out this way. All your worries about Ellis having someone to play with were gone. You and Gustafa maintained good relationships, giving your son plenty of friends among the children of others who could have once been romantic rivals. 

You loved the tradition of the Pumpkin Jamboree. You remember crying when your parents told you that you were too old. So, it wasn’t a surprise to Gustafa when you eagerly volunteered to help the children dress up and lead them to the part Rock and Lumina were hosting at the Villa. The day had finally come, and you were focusing on restraining yourself from gathering the kids into a group hug.

Cecilia and Marlin’s daughters dressed as little scarecrows. You had no doubt Marlin sewed the costumes for them. Ava dutifully tried to keep her younger sister Marcie from unraveling her clothes by picking loose threads. Tito dressed like his father. If it wasn’t for him having Flora’s eyes, you would have thought Carter had reverted in age. Your son had stolen one of his father’s large green hats and begged Gustafa to make him a robe. Ellis now stood with his friends, loudly proclaiming he was a wizard and could create spells from music. It was his daddy’s love spell song that entrapped you after all. 

Blushing, you did your best to ignore Gustafa’s laughter as you ushered the children outside. Four kids couldn’t be hard to track and wrangle. They should be more manageable than the farm’s adventurous chickens. You enjoyed their babbling as you followed behind the group. You had the group detour before heading to the Inner Inn and through the village. Since Nina’s passing, you did your best to include Galen. The older man was starting to involve himself in Forget-Me-Not Valley again, and you wanted to be sure he was included in the Pumpkin Jamboree.

In a flutter of activity, more children joined the group. First, Nami’s son Mikhail tumbled down the inn’s stairs. His bright hair almost matched the pumpkin costume he wore. Following Mikhail’s appearance were Cody’s son, August, and Molly and Griffin’s child, Rae. You recognized August as a Renaissance painter, though you couldn’t name the exact one. Rae’s costume stumped you until they explained. They were a warrior princess. It was why they had a frilly top with pants and a sword. Didn’t you know slaying a dragon would be difficult in a dress? 

It wasn’t until you started the path uphill to the villa that you realized something was amiss. There were too many children. There should be seven, but each time you counted, there were eight. You picked out the child you didn’t know quickly. She looked like a girl with black hair, her white dress only shades lighter than her. You fought panic as she ran with the other kids to greet Edie (dressed as royalty) and play. 

“Maybe she’s one of those black-eyed children,” Rock mused when you asked him about the child. “Y’know, I’ve heard they come and bring misfortune wherever they wander. Though with how close the mountains are, maybe she’s a mountain spirit instead? I wonder if she’d be appeased with candy?” 

“Oh! I’ll ask her if she’s a ghost!” Marcie excitedly quipped before running off. 

You hadn’t realized she had come to stand near Rock and you. You could only imagine what Marcie said when she reached the other children gathered around Lumina. You shrank back and sidled away from Rock when Lumina fixed him with a glare. Her disgusted frown told exactly what she thought of him telling such stories around the children.

Edie was obviously the better-behaved one. You laughed along with her, but your thoughts were elsewhere. Daryl had a granddaughter? The man hardly seemed that old; he must have decent genetics. Who had his wife been? You couldn’t wait to share this gossip with Gustafa.

[A video, taken from an somewhat overhead angle, of a university's battle court. The two battlers are none other than Vanilla and Colress, with an Altaria and Beheeyem on the field, respectively. Aspear watches bored from the sidelines, Cheri at his side fidgeting nervously.]

[Chiru swoops impressively between the attacks of his opponent, dodging a Zen Headbutt just in the nick of time before landing his own Dragon Pulse. The Beheeyem attempts a retreat, before beginning to prepare a strange move. Vanilla pumps their fists in celebration, then points their hand upwards, towards the sky.]

"Nice one, Chiru! You know what we're following that up with. Soar to the sky, and hit them with a Draco Meteor!"

[Colress watches the Altaria take flight. Quite graceful. And with Altaria up there...]

"I can tell you bring out the best in your Pokémon! Just as I had expected! The bond between hybrids and their partners may be even greater than those of typical humans! But I have an additional hypothesis I was hoping to test today!"

[The light between Beeheyem's arms grows brighter, brighter, ever brighter, as its eyes meet with Vanilla's. It's a split second too late that he realizes exactly what's happening, eyes widening, arm flung out to give a command.]

"Chiru, return to the ground--"

[Colress looks down to his sleeve's monitors, before nodding to himself and issuing his own command, tone even.]

"Beeheyem, Lumina Crash. Let's see what power we can draw out of you..."

[The light is brilliant. Dazzling. Like a flurry of pink, glittering diamonds. Entirely centered on Vanilla's head. Though it burns out like a regular Flash, Vanilla recoils in pain, missing a step and hitting the ground on her back.]

"Haaa... nn.... Wha--"

"What the hell?? Is she okay??"

"I would suggest stepping back. If my hypothesis is right, anyways."

"And exactly why is that, boss--"

[Vanilla stumbles back to his feet, but something is clearly... wrong. Their eyes are panicked, flitting from person to person, even as Chiru soars down in front of them to check their trainer's well-being. She scares the bird away with a swipe of her claws, as he instead lands on Cheri's head.]

"Hey, Vanilla, it's okay-- It was just a miss!! You're gonna be fine!!"

[A deep growl undercuts Cheri's next words, as she, too, backs off a bit. All attention is back on Vanilla, snarling something clearly malicious towards Colress.]

"Ah, so it even impacts language... Show me more! More of what you can do!"

"Wait, boss, are you fucking insane? He's not okay! He could kill you!"

[A dark aura builds itself around Vanilla, cloaking her from ears to paws deeply enough to draw surrounding light. Colress watches in awe, his own Rotom capturing video as he eagerly inputs data into his sleeves' monitoring devices. A voice can be heard coming from the camera herself, Cross.]

"h-hey! w-wait! what's going on? what's happening? vanilla? vanilla!"

"Zrrrrrahn! Leave me alone! All of you Plasma freaks! I never asked for you! I never asked to be your tool!"

[In an instant, the darkness surrounding Vanilla reappears under Colress's feet, tendrils of shadow reaching up from below the ground with the clear intention to drag their victim down with them. They're only barely blocked by a Protect, even Colress a little shaken. The miss barely even fazes Vanilla, who charges forward, eyes wild, hand on the hilt of their sword--]

"Hey!! Stop!! You've got to snap out of this!!"

[Cheri throws herself over Vanilla, who stumbles to the ground with her, blade knocked from his hand. She throws Cheri off with one swift motion, causing the human to hit her side with a thud and a slide into the field's dusty earth.]

"Cheri, what on Earth were you thinking? That's not what you do when somebody's having a breakdown! You could've hurt both of you with your savior complex..."

[Vanilla, still lying on the ground, groans and clutches at their head. They seem to be coming more to their senses, even as Colress kneels by their side, locking eyes with an eerily gentle smile on his face.]

"You did wonderfully. A pass with flying colors. Apologies for my methods, but science cares not for morality. Only answers! And with such enticing data, I should have plenty of them."

[Colress turns to leave, the 'cavalry' of Cobalion carrying Wolfgang only a few moments to late to do more than roar in protest. Instead, the two turn to Vanilla, who simply shakes at their presence as they curl into him. Aspear pulls Cheri to her feet, and the two exchange a regretful look.]

Looking for ideas of a project I wanted to do with weapons from SU and Destiny.

There's a few guns from Destiny called Rose, Thorn, and Lumina. The Rose was infected with the Darkness, taking the user with it, and turned into the Thorn. Later on, Thorn is destroyed and we have to find the pieces to be reconstructed, but this time it's forged in the Light and called the Lumina.

Enough backstory, but my question is this: If Rose Quartz wielded these weapons, what would her corrupted and Light forms be?

If this project works out, I'll probably do her sword in each element as well. The color schemes will be set up to match her colors as well.

[sputters and laughs] This is the funniest ask I've ever gotten, partially because I don't think you know what you're uncorking here, anon. I do try to keep negativity off this blog nowadays, but I'll oblige you this one time.

Naturally, given how central Lightning is to this game, most of my grievances are with how she was treated and written, though I'll quickly note my other problems with the game:

The fanservice obvs. :U

The combat. Why did we do things like replace the fully functional stagger gauge with the weird audio waveform readout? Seems like a strange choice when XIII-2 had actually made noticeable improvements in terms of accessibility during combat (larger health bars, more readable text, etc).

The incredibly discordant and hard-on-the-ears soundtrack.

I don't usually harp on graphics because I don't really care about how pretty or "realistic" a game looks, but when the dev company boasts that this game is the "most complete and polished" in the Final Fantasy series (not the trilogy, the entire series), and then we get... copy-pasted trees... well, let's just say that that's objectively not the case.

The fact that all of the previous main protagonists don't play more prominent roles in this final installment of the trilogy is abysmal, and this goes twice for Sazh whose "character arc" has been recycled twice now.

The fact that we lose this wonderful world we've spent the past two games exploring and growing attached to is also abysmal! I hate stories where we lose magic at the end, separate the found family, etc etc. and LR is guilty of all of that. It's such a kick in the teeth.

Here's what I did enjoy about this game:

Masculine outfits. They all look great on her. And even better is when you run by NPCs and half the time they can't figure out her gender! (Really furthers the enby!Lightning headcanon I have for this game in particular.)

The fact that you can have Lightning take a jab at Etro during Noel's main quest lmao.

The guy in Luxerion that sings the New Bodhum theme.

You get to pal around with Fang in the Dead Dunes.

...And that's it, that's all I enjoyed.

And now, what I really hate about LR and how they wrote Lightning in general is... Lumina.

Do not get me wrong. I don't hate Lumina for superficial reasons like her personality or aesthetics. If she wasn't inherently tied to Lightning, I think I'd find her rather interesting. Her voice actor did a stellar job with her!

Instead, to me, Lumina's existence is a really hilarious admission from the writers they didn't know what to do with Lightning's character post-XIII. Lightning—who was shown in the first game to be incredibly self-aware, genre-savvy, and emotionally mature—gets reduced to a character that needs to have her "emotions" trot out in front of her as a little girl that harps on and harasses her for things like, I don't know, allegedly pushing her friends away?

Friends that never offer to help her in the first place, I might add. If they really wanted to drive home the idea that Lightning was being aloof, they had ample opportunities to do so. But instead all we ever have is Lumina telling us what Lightning's intentions supposedly are. Lazy writing at its finest!

Lumina also accuses Lightning of trying to be "as cold as the steel in [her] sword," which is a notion later tied to Lightning "locking away" her heart as a child which is just... a really funny retcon when you once again consider how emotionally mature she becomes in XIII.

We did this character arc before. And we did it to much better effect! The whole Lumina/Claire fiasco is one of the biggest walk-backs I've ever seen for a character's development, it's insane.

(I've already spoken at length about how Lightning's character is not the self-sacrificial type, either; you can search my blog for the word 'sentinel' if you want those posts.)

It's just sad, because there are ways they could've played with Lightning's character that would have made sense and been in line with the things she'd gone through up until this point. If you wanted to mess with her emotions, you could've written her as bitter, exhausted, and traumatized after her extended stint in Valhalla. This could have been a natural and compelling consequence of her time as Etro's guardian. It wouldn't have resulted in a terrible rehash of her first game's character arc either lmao.

Anyway there's a lot more I could say but I'm just gonna end it here. LR bad but could have been pretty good with a little effort, the end!

Cressida would be uninteresting to him cause... he can’t hit on a Lesbian and has nothing to gain for his goals by interacting with her. Maybe only treat her kind cause of her status so he would still keep his name well. So he would be nice, but you would know he only does it to keep reputation.

Barry hates people with Pride cause he can’t use them well so Zenith he would ignore or avoid. Especially given Barrys secret crush on Yasuno (Which Yasuno is to blame for just saying) and Victoria being close with him and Zenith.... yeah there is more reasons that could be hilarious to explore.

Dimitri would also be uninteresting to him but also I feel Dimitri would hate Barry especially cause he is literally Toxic masculinity. So in generally I can see them not get along.

Barry would hate Azure... mainly for the reason of Envy, that Azure is that close to Carol all the time... Barry wants to win her for himself so in all he sees Azure as a rival. He in general is pretty passive agressive and tries to make rude comments...

I feel with Saika he tries to be nice but she is really annoyed by his personality.

With Roya he tried to be an asskisser and win his favour cause of his popularity but likely failed and now both just avoid another.

Although she would treat Cressida nicely... she herself would like grow tired of all the talking and often search for excuses to leave, with Barry she already has one talker.

Zenith I feel Francine would respect and even like... She is fine with a give no shit attitude... Might even be able to share some gossip with him for sure... and be interested in his music... I can see them get along on a respectfull level... She also apoligizes for Barry a lot.

Dimitri, although others call him charismatic that might be a reason for Francine to not be interested... treat him casual... cause she just judges to easy... I also just don’t think they have a lot to talk about...

Saika she is fine with... I can see both be respectfull to another... just also they don’t have reason to be close.

Azures stories would interest her and she might recommend some to her cousin... but funny enough given Lyla and Francine are Cousins and Carol is one of Lylas close friends... more good reputation to him.

Roya.... she wouldn’t care much about his popularity but moreso support him... be impressed by him... maybe even slightly take a liking to him... Its mainly cause he seems interesting to her.

Osyron doesn’t care much for his fellow mortal school mates but I feel... Zenith and Saika could both catch his interest in potential.

Lydia would only care about Roya and Dimitri mainly cause... they seem like good fighters, maybe she could challenge them...

Fabio would really like Cressida, likely often ask her for explaining things and see her as good friend.

Zenith... Fabio is that Rabbit that comes out the woods just cause he hears a pretty Melody and listens with his ears wagging... feeling happy and then politely apoligize cause he butted in.

Dimitri he would likely avoid cause he is kinda intimidated.

Saika he would be very nice to but maybe accidentally upset her just cause he wanted to help, he will apoligize for it a lot though and do better.

Azure he is very happy cause he sees during his tutoring with Carol how happy she is and that makes him happy as her friend. In general high respect and slowly tries to learn reading so he can actually read some stuff the both do as well.

Roya he would... also treat casual, nothing close but just respectfully.

Notes Fabio would still adress them all with Mister or Miss by accident... maybe with friendships it goes better.

Saneria is in general just really mean so... part of me hopes they just give up before the Demi-Godess goes feral cause... she is quite a crazy one.
