USDA announces plans to invest $4B in US food supply chain

“As it makes investments through this initiative, USDA will also seek to increase transparency and competition with attention to how certain types of conduct in the livestock markets and the meat processing sector have resulted in thinly traded markets and unfair treatment of some farmers, ranchers and small processors,” the agency said. “Among other investments in the food system and food supply chain, Build Back Better will specifically address the shortage of small meat processing facilities across the country as well as the necessary local and regional food system infrastructure needed to support them.” (emphasis added)

Innerspace (1987). A test pilot is miniaturized in a secret experiment, and accidentally injected into a hapless store clerk.

The cartoonish premise and pacing really wouldn't work without an actor like Martin Short in the lead role, and the decision to cast him is probably one of the better ones in 80s sci-fi. This really is a bonkers movie, but it gets away with it more often than not - it's genuinely funny, and the design feels pretty innovative and high quality for the era. Also I might have an extra sweetspot for it given it spawned one of my favourite episodes of Futurama haha. Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan's storyline didn't do much for me at all though. 7/10.
