for my loyal follower, nunezs-stuff!! sorry for the delay, and I hope that I've done your request justice. Also, once again, I might not have all of your oc's personality quirks, but i did try. Thank you for requesting, Hope you enjoy!

wayyy too long for some hcs, ooc bakugo, lowkey aggressive bakugo (he should be a warning himself lol), swearing (cus it's bakugo, duh), I wrote kianna using ‘you’ since it wasn’t specified. kianna's eating disorder is also included, and im not sure if i depicted it correctly, but i tried my best!! hope not to offend anyone, haha uhh that's pretty much it, ig. Oh, and this one is for bakugo only, sorry, but I'm currently working on the others- they'll be out in a while. Lmk if I missed anything else!!

bakugo katsuki, who meets you at the entrance exams, and, initially, regards your existence with indifference, since he’s already fuming, hands sparking with flames - all he’s thinking about is the sheer audacity of that bastard deku to even think about coming here, and how he’s gonna pummel him into the ground!!

*ehem*

so he’s honestly taken aback by your display of strength in the exams; he hadn’t paid much attention to you, yeah, but you sure didn’t look strong from how much he knew

either way, he’s intrigued - and almost immediately regards you as a new rival, and he expresses it in the only way he knows how to

“oi ya damn nerd! you must think highly of yourself, flexing your quirk like that!”

cue you turning to him with blank eyes

you shake his hand off your shoulder, looking unimpressed, even - bored

and almost immediately you piss him off with that - that expression of yours

there’s just something about it - something about that eerie emptiness in your eyes that sets him off, but bakugo’s determined and he isn’t going to let you off the hook so easily

so the both of you form a weird kind of rivalry/friendship into the first year of u.a that he definitely won’t admit is kind of nice

because with you, even with your blunt words and sharp eyes, you stick around when so many others have left him behind

and he can’t entirely blame them, selfish as he is

and it’s hard at first, because he’s more prone to blasting you with his quirk than ever having a *cough* normal *cough* conversation with you, but you’re just as stubborn as him, if not more

and you don’t take his shit either - returning his sneers and snide remarks with leers and barbs of your own

and you’re annoying, sure, always so goddamn blunt and straightforward, constantly on his heels like some kind of damn insect he can’t get rid of, but your company is nice from time to time (though he’ll never tell that straight to your face in a thousand years)

and bakugo just doesn’t get it at first

he knows he’s not the ideal friend (are you even… ‘friends’?); he’ll say shit that hits right where it hurts, does stupid shit that he doesn’t actually really mean

but you stick around and he learns to tolerate you and despite your arguments that are really just banter at this point, you look out for him and so does he, and… that’s kind of it, he supposes

and he doesn’t know how it has evolved to this - but he quickly learns to read between your insults and find the grudging compliment, he learns to see the embarrassed red in the tips of your ears when your face remains blank

he begrudgingly learns your likes and dislikes (though not on his own will), and so whenever he visits a store, he finds his eyes catching over the things you’d like, and for some godforsaken reason, ends up buying them for you

shoves it in your arms with a furious flush on his face and some lame excuse that you probably don’t believe but have the good graces not to point out

he learns that you can cook, and that it’s surprisingly good (again, he’ll never, ever admit it)

which is in anomaly in itself, and when he finds out, demands that you cook for him, claiming that he needs to taste how ‘bad’ his rival’s cooking is

you respond to this with a fond eye roll, and inform him that it’s definitely better than his, which riles him up, but then you end up cooking for him anyway

and, on a more intimate occasion, he learns that you can’t quite stomach the food you so meticulously make, and it pisses him off

of course, he knows it’s a disorder and that it can’t tackled by his sheer brashness alone

so he takes a more ‘subtler’ approach, if you can even call it that lol

ends up doing a ton of research; he starts with the little things, a slice of fruit here, a piece of fruit there- bakugo makes sure to periodically feed you small amounts of food because he takes notice that you can never really finish big meals

piles more food on your plate when he thinks you’re not looking

threatens you with smoking hands and an angry scowl (but he’s not angry, not really) to “eat more, damnit!” claiming that “you’ll be a scrawny little bastard forever so eat before i make you!”

(but thankfully, you don’t mind half as much as you’re amused)

comes ‘round to your room with tubs of your favorite foods that he claims he ‘accidentally’ made too much of (it’s a literal feast, btw)

watches you intently to make sure you’re actually eating, and when you tell him, quite bluntly, that he looks like a creep with a weird fetish of watching ppl eat, he tells you to “fuck off!” in no less indignant terms

continues to watch you like a hawk anyway lmao

(he catches you smiling, makes a whole fuss about it, and the both of you end up brawling it out, food promptly forgotten)

and so in the midst of this grudging rivalry-that’s-actually-really-friendship, it takes bakugo a painfully, painfully long time to realize

he likes you

no, no, no- he actually, really really really likes you

and it hits him like a ton of bricks after kamino

he’d came back as haunted and withdrawn as a ghost, and he’d pushed everyone away, all angry sneers and bared teeth and growling voice

but you’d stayed

you didn’t flinch away from his fury and his hurt and his screaming anguish - you’d welcomed it with open arms, quite literally

you’d forced his thrashing body into a tight hug, clamped your arms around until he’d stopped protesting and just collapsed onto you, sobbing his heart out, a crying, shaking mess

you were uncharacteristically gentle, soothing his cries with a hand carding through his damp hair and lips pressed his temple, his forehead, his cheeks, his fluttering eyelids

and it’s there, slumped boneless in your arms, voice hoarse from screaming himself raw and eyes red and puffy, too tired for his pride to protest, that bakugo - finally, after a stupidly long time - realizes

oh shit. i’m in love.

and he’s pretty sure you know, too

and so there’s no confessions, no fireworks or the sudden coming of spring to mark the start of something wonderful (but it is wonderful); it just sort of… happens

and so nothing changes- not really

you still argue over every little thing, and he still brings food ‘round to your room and you still spend time together doing study sessions;

except nowadays whenever you reach out to tug

at his hair out of eventual annoyance whenever you fight, a stupid lovesick blush rushes to his cheeks, no matter how hard he tries to snuff it out

and you accept his dishes with a faint smile that definitely doesn’t make him swoon

and the study sessions have turned to study dates that he really just spends admiring every flutter of your lashes and the light to your eyes whenever you get an equation right; wondering at the soft round of your cheeks that crinkle with your smiling dimples (that rarely stay long enough for him to catch), and the sweet curve of your mouth that lifts, just barely, into a gentle smile

and so with you and bakugo, it’s a learning kind of love; the kind that teaches you the ups and downs of life, the kind that hurts in the best sort of way

because it’s with you that bakugo learns how to trust and be trusted

(because what else was it when he showed him all your scars and your bruises, what else was it when you bared yourself inside out for him, the good and the bad, the flaws and perfection, and he for you?)

and it’s with you that bakugo learns to love and be loved, the soft gentle kind he’d thought to be so weak before, but - well

it’s not so bad after all. is it now?

hii, im just kinda curious so sorry if this is kinda annoying 😭 but what are ur thoughts on blossom x boomer?

blossoomer is… fine. i don't have any strong positive opinions on it but it's honestly just cus of the fanon tropes i see for it. 'nerd x idiot' is a dynamic i hate, and the various 'autism x adhd' that's been shoved down my throat is getting a little tiring too.

it's all pretty stigmatizing, and centering a ship entirely around those two facets is enough to just make me lose interest. i don't hate blossoomer, but i've definitely been put off it more than once.

factor in that in [my] headcanon, they don't even share friend groups, so there's not a lot of reason for them to overlap or get together. blossom and boomer are both characters i struggle to really match with anybody romantically, so there's that too.

i don't really have a lot to say about them, though, so this post isn't going to be nearly as in-depth as i try to explore other ships. sorry !

all that being said, i do understand the appeal of blossoomer as well. looking at it without my personal biases against fanon and headcanons, they're kinda cute.

they kind of give me ice cream parlor vibes at first ? like boomer would try to impress blossom with more traditional/classic date locations; the slow-paced ones where you walk around the boardwalk or the park, stop for a coffee or a lunch. inoffensive, not overly romantic or grand gesturing.

he probably is hoping to show blossom that he's able to take things slow. maybe worries about scaring her away.

a total misread of who she is, as by the sixth date, she's probably decided that a monster fight is a way to ramp up the pace a little bit. covered in guts and detritus and questionable fluids by the end of it, a little out of breath, but triumphant and grinning - and if boomer wasn't already smitten, well now he's entirely head over heels because wow.

there's an allure to put-together blossom turning out to be something of a 'dynamite babe' ? you kind of forget she's capable of levelling a cityblock when she spends so much time behaving as a regular, powerless citizen; focusing on her studies, her career path, very normal things that belie just how dangerous she can be.

boomer's a moth to a lamp that way.

the other side of it i think is blossom thinks boomer's just generic retriever boyfriend material at the start. it's not exactly the type of person she'd be satisfied in settling for, so she jumps them into action to see how he'll do.

he's… still kind of a retriever boyfriend. but it seems like after the little spectacle, something's broken down the barrier that kept him passing the boundary into truly engaging. it's like he had kept himself tightly-wound so as not to scare her away - and there's probably history in that, probably been shut down a few times before for being 'too much' - only to spring to life with this newfound reassurance that blossom can take it.

still think they have a healthy dose of respect for their own personal time. they're a couple that, when together, are buzzing with excitement. always in motion. it's surprisingly energetic and social for the both of them given how low-energy and nonplussed they appear to the world independently. seems like it could be fun ! i don't think they'd be equals; lowkey i see blossom kind of envisioning herself as a little above boomer, in multiple aspects. i think if boomer ever caught on, it'd be one of their biggest points of contention: that blossom doesn't see them on the same level. blossoomer also isn't a ship that strikes me as particularly long-lasting because of this. kind of a whirlwind romance ? flying so high until they plummet. messy breakup, etc.

Lanford has been really sheltered in their Chantry (and abusively controlled by their Sire) since their Embrace in the 70s! And they've actually never had an incident of losing control to the Beast. So I think they'd say "Individuals are not monsters, that's simply a way of categorizing things which frighten or confuse us. Clinging to the belief that Kindred are 'monsters' rather than understanding we are a new life form with different needs and behaviors is like drawing 'here be dragons' on every map. It's just ignorance." Lanny is very fun to play because they are analytical and condescending. They HAVE been punched in the face by a Brujah for not knowing when to shut up XD

They know about the history of the Tremere as mages but they consider thaumaturgy to be perfectly consistent with the prior Hermetic practices, or maybe even superior since it's using the capabilities of vitae to power it. They've never met a mage before but they would be super excited about that! :0 Lanford has met fey creatures and gotten super messed up on their blood though.

Can I ask about Mark's relationship with his Sire? You mentioned his Sire has very powerful blood? (Or, is a low generation?)

OK yes so Mark's sire is super old idk why the ST lowkey gave special snowflake syndrome but whatever he can have a sire thats over a thousand years old as a treat.

gasp. yes, that means he was around when the tremere went from a mage house to a vampire clan. that's nuts! he was already older than most humans because he was a mage trying to extend his lifespan. thats how he's so GotDamn old.

His name is Julius. I think he's technically 8th gen but he did weird blood sorcery shit to make Mark essentially an 11th gen as far as blood potency is concerned. He uses Mark as a spy/errand boy but Mark doesn't mind because, due to high level blood bond, he thinks Julius helps him a lot (technically does ig) and is really happy when he pleases Julius.

He is starting to recognize that, rationally, the only reason to help him would be out of fear, but the blood bond is still there oc which makes it complicated.

Julius keeps him financially stable, will fulfill basically any minor request Mark makes of him, and due to his high position in the Tremere keeps him safe politically just by being his sire.

In return Mark gives him weekly reports, does various spying things when requested, (largely against Julius's rival, Gaius, which is a whole nother' story), and is basically at his beck and call.

For his part Mark is mostly in awe of Julius, terror in the classical sense; sees him as super powerful, wants to please him; but at the same time recognizes that Julius is fairly like, inhuman and awful, so hides how much he cares abt humans and such, in fact he kinda feels ashamed of it, which is sad :(

Julius had Mark's ex spy on him before his embrace/while they were still dating - he didn't directly do it, but ordered another kindred to get info on Mark and thats how he did it. Basically ruined Sampson's life. So yeah. pretty fucked. A quote that lives in my head rent free is when Mark was concerned about sampson and asked Julius abt him for the first time Julius said "You can have many Sammys" so he clearly doesnt like. get it. lol.

hello! hope ur doing well! i love reading ur answers and getting to know more abt u sm! its just amazing how days go by so quickly and busily like u blink and suddenly its 4 of them passed already! apologies! unlike u, im still infant-level fan to kpop (got pulled by skz) and being as hyperfocused on skz as i was, dont know any other kpop groups like i do skz sadly, but i do love music! i love shinee's stuff sm!!! and my best friend really likes xdinary heroes so im getting into them too! and txt just have some of the funnest bsides so their discography gets scoured too lmao. i just dont know any grps members or anything well, but yeah! like u said, lots of good music raining down. i will never understand ppl's bias against non native language songs-esp when they like english stuff and its not their mother tongue!-bcs kpop has such a range. so many interesting sounds, artists and genres!! from past year ive really found myself drawn to soft-ish(?) k-indie/rock a lot! u asked for newer artists (ik so less abt bands. this is a personal failure</3) some of my favorites i think are: lee go do, mingginyu, nerd connection! akmu, heo hoy kyung, se seo neon, etc etc just lots of solo lowkey artists and songs lmao. there's smth abt the lapping continuity of soft sounds and forming of language like that which enthralls me a lot. i really adore loud and wonderful girl group songs as well!! i listen to girl groups a whole lot more than bgs which is surprising bcs i love skz, but their immaculate energy and style! really love aespa, rv, loona! stayc, twice, billie, izone and others! do u listen to lucy the band? their stuff's really fun as well! i rambled sm lmao but yeah. music is so exciting in so many aspects its amazing. i love listening to a lot of languages and genres too! mostly bcs my brain's engagement is a pinball game and i am keeping it amused with fifty different things at the same time. which is why i just have a lot of recs for songs but none for artists bcs i collect and find interesting stuff but get obsessed easily, which makes it difficult to get into every artist particularly. would love to trade playlists or songs once this secret santa is over if ud be comfortable with that! He generally defaults to whatever his friends are eating and whatever vegetable is forced upon him, otherwise he defaults to quick and easy to eat finger food! He's not overly picky, but he's not a huge fan of like. non-deli meat meats. Like he'll eat turkey sandwiches and stuff but porkchops or steak? Not usually a fan. Beef stew tho, he will decimate a bowl of good beef stew with bread.

new to the fandom (as in the gifs and all my moots crossing over got me, haven’t even watched the show, zero desire to watch the source material bc i don’t have the time, my information is literally from fics and wiki atp) & i mostly read the ao3 fics so im not too exposed to the cheerleader cliche (and the ones i do know have a bit more depth to the reader so it evens out) but i did see it a few times on here and just giggled like. the whole ‘cheerleader who’s not like other girls but still very much a stereotype but she’s not bc she likes this complete opposite metalhead who’s everything she isn’t and it still works!!1!1!!!1!!’ thing reminds me of wattpad & ff.net fics back in the 2010’s. like it’s kinda silly to me cause im like are we not past this thinking but then i look at the authors and the majority are like 18-19 and fresh out of high school in that weird period where they’re adults but still with that high school maturity & mentality and it makes a lot of sense…if that makes sense? don’t get me wrong it’s still not my cup of tea (while i do subscribe to the eddie has a corruption kink bandwagon there are lots of other ways than just bad boy meets the cheerleader to go about it) but i look at the demographics of who’s writing it & go ohhhh…that’s why.

that plus usually when i see those it’s usually accompanied with some traits that are definitely not meant for a different audience (i.e. the amount of times ive came across the pale skin descriptor alone on here is wild & i just click out immediately— lowkey it’s what drove me to ao3 in the first place lol) so i tune out immediately. really hard to read a fic where you can’t connect with reader at all </3

i could go on abt some other issues ive noticed but this is long enough i am so sorry for rambling anyways tl;dr 0/10 troupe where are the fics where he’s with some weird drama club nerd or a complete band geek where is the vARIETY!

and dude. tell me about the specific descriptors thing omfg. i'm so fair i get sunburnt watching fucking fireworks and the whole ✨my pale skin✨ thing makes me shudder. personality traits are easier to overlook because 1) people are very complex and have many different aspects to their personalities and 2) it's hard to write character interactions against a blank slate. but physical descriptors are just. like listen i know we're all projecting here but it's no fun if you make people feel excluded.

“I can’t believe this!” Jeonghan puffs while he drops his belongings loudly onto the table in the study lounge, causing a few other students to turn and glare.

“Would it kill you to be quiet?” Jungkook grumbles, picking at the edge of the paper of his textbook, eyes never straying away from the content of the page.

“No. I will not be quiet because I thought football bros were bros for life!” Jeonghan whines.

Jungkook raises an eyebrow. “You know that’s kind of concerning when you put it that way.”

Jeonghan simply waves the other boy off before he leans forward as if he has something important he has to say. Jungkook knew him well enough to know that it would either waste Jungkook’s precious study time or be something so out of the ordinary that he can’t help but be intrigued.

Jungkook shrugged and takes the chance, anyway.

“Namjoon bailed.” He deadpans. “Again!”

Jungkook stiffens ever so slightly but feigns disinterest with a noncommittal hum.

“Really.”

Jeonghan nods his head, or shook his head—it was hard to tell because he was all over the place and he seemed more displeased than anything.

“I never thought we’d lose our own captain to a girl.” He sniffs.

Jungkook sighs, already done with the conversation because somehow no one can ever mention Namjoon without mentioning you now, apparently because the two of you were hanging out much more frequently. He’s bitter. And he’s confused—because he’s attempted patching things up with you but you only would ever reply to him with curt responses than the enthusiastic ones you used to flatter him with.

JK: hey. there’s a new cafe outside of campus. U wanna go?

And that was it. The blow that Jungkook knew he deserved but couldn’t deal with. You had tried your best to avoid any personal interaction with Jungkook and he didn’t know what the fuck to do.

“They’re kind of perfect for each other, don’t you think?” Jeonghan interrupts Jungkook’s sour mood when he recalls all his failed attempts at trying to meet with you personally.

Jungkook blinks then furrowed his eyebrows.

“Who?”

Jeonghan rolls his eyes. “Joon and your friend _____.” He knocks on the table. “Bunch of nerds together.” He adds with a snicker.

Jungkook stiffens, hands clutching his textbook tighter.

“You say that like there’s something wrong with being a nerd.” He says slowly.

“There isn’t. Really.” Jeonghan defends. “It’s just so … fitting. Captain of the football team who’s lowkey a softie and an art nerd with the overachiever on campus. Their IQ’s combined are probably in the 300 range.”

Jungkook scowls.

“Haven’t you heard of the phrase ‘opposites attract’?” Jungkook asks sourly.

Jeonghan scoffs. “Yeah. Like you actually believe in that cliche phrase. Come on—we all know you’re likely to end up with someone who’s more like you than different.”

The insinuation doesn’t sit well with Jungkook, but he can’t chew Jeonghan out for it anyway. He didn’t know the nature of your friendship with him, nor was he aware of the history the two of you shared.

“Never say never.” Jungkook shrugs.

Jeonghan rolls his eyes before taking out his laptop and settling into a comfortable position.

“I think he’s going to ask her to be his girlfriend soon.” He says off-handedly as if he assumed Jungkook gave a shit.

He did, and his heart drops to his stomach.

“Hey,” Jungkook calls out when he spots you slip past him at the foyer outside the humanities building.

You twirl around at the sound of your name being called, and your eyes widen when you spot Jungkook walking towards you with furrowed brows.

“J-Jungkook?”

Why you sounded so scared to see him, he wasn’t sure. But he knows that he’s frustrated because it’s the first time he’s seen you after the game where you and Namjoon left to hang out at the exhibition, despite his desperate attempts at calling you out to hang out with him.

“You’ve been avoiding me.” Jungkook frowns, cutting straight to the chase.

You splutter for a response, and you realise that you’re basically gaping at him when you clutch your folders tighter to your chest.

“I’ve been busy, Jungkook. I told you this.” You softly remind him.

Jungkook scoffs, and he feels his mean bone grow; feeling the need to correct you because you were smart—and both of you knew that your excuse was lame.

“Really?” He says dryly. “Too busy to hang out with me but not with Namjoon?” He can’t help how bitter he sounds, especially when he’s heard from the rest of the football members; including Jimin and Taehyung that you were spending a suspicious amount of time with the captain.

You furrow your brows at him when Jungkook stares you down, waiting for a response.

“That doesn’t change the fact I was busy.” You huff.

Jungkook frowns at you, clutching his backpack tighter with his hand as he notices the way you avoid his eyes by dropping them to the ground.

“Why are you being like this?” Jungkook accuses, tone already on the offensive.

You gape up at the boy, brows scrunched in displeasure.

“Me? I’m not being anything. I told you that I was busy and we would rain check, didn’t I?”

Jungkook tongues the inside of his cheek, frustration pooling in his stomach. “Somehow you’re only busy whenever I want to hang out, right?” He scoffs sarcastically. “I thought we were good.”

You stiffen, knuckles turning white when you grip your belongings harder.

“We are.” You say curtly.

“No, we’re not.” Jungkook retorts. “If we were then you wouldn’t need to find shitty excuses to get out of hanging out with me.”

You open your mouth, then close it. You feel yourself grow more exasperated with Jungkook the more he can’t realise the fact that you were still finding a way to navigate the throes of your relationship with him.

“They were not shitty excuses.” You snap. “Listen, we can meet tomorrow for coffee if you really—”

“That’s not what this is about!” Jungkook exasperates, breathing out in a huff.

You purse your lips. “Then what is it, Jungkook? You came up to me and started accusing me of lying to you because I couldn’t meet up at the times you proposed.”

Jungkook clenches his jaw when he notices the way your voice gets increasingly sterner when you talk to him. It only reminds him of the way you used to chastise him when he was younger when he’d do something that was ‘immature’ but standard for a teenaged boy.

“I apologised!” He cries. “I’m sorry I was a dick before this but I’m really trying to fix things between us but you’re—”

“I’m what, Jungkook?” You interject with a frown. “I’m doing my best at healing?” You add softly. “An apology won’t erase what happened.”

Jungkook feels himself deflate, especially at the way your eyes dart away when he attempts to look into them.

“I know it won’t but I just want things to go back to normal.” He sighs.

You screw your eyes shut, finding the words to say before you look at him with such sad eyes that he nearly pulls you close just to comfort you so that he wouldn’t have to acknowledge the fact that it was his fault.

“It’s not that easy.” You whisper, gripping at the hem of your sleeves. “It may be for you but it’s not the same for me.”

Jungkook releases a sigh so loud that your eyes widen, as he attempts to think of something better to say—to offer.

“I really am sorry.” He lamely apologises, his voice sounding a lot like a scolded child.

“I know.” You nod. “But you don’t know how it feels to have …” You swallow. “Whatever. We’re good. I just need time, Jungkook.”

Jungkook furrows his brows when you turn away to stalk off, but he grabs at your elbow to turn your body to face him. Your eyes briefly make contact with the way he’s gently holding onto you before they tilt up to meet his confused gaze.

“How it feels to have what?” He pries.

You sigh, shaking off his grip. “Look. It doesn’t matter. I’m being sensitive.” You deprecate immediately.

Jungkook doesn’t miss the spite in your tone, especially when you say it so firmly and seriously when you dismiss him.

“I want to fix this—us.” He pleads desperately. “Why can’t you just be honest with me?”

As if his words set you off, your eyes snap up and blaze with the pent up fury and anger you’ve been suppressing the entire time.

“Me? Be honest with you?” You scoff. “Real fucking funny. Because when I was honest with you, you turned it on me and took advantage of my vulnerability.”

Jungkook’s eyes widen. “What—?”

“You want honest?” You fume. “Fine. I’ll give you honest but you better listen closely this time because I won’t be repeating myself again.” You poke into his chest, even if it’s fierce and stern, he feels the heartache pouring through. “You were my best friend, Jungkook. You were and are someone important to me and you fucked me over because you knew I couldn’t say no to you. You knew how I felt and you took advantage of that fact just so you could get what you wanted and go.”

Jungkook furrows his eyebrows, confused at the information you were throwing at him.

“How you felt—?”

You cut him off again with a huff. “Don’t pretend like you didn’t know. Why else did you think I did all the shit you wanted?”

“I-I don’t understand.” Jungkook stutters, head caught in a loop when you glare at him harder.

“You knew every bit of insecurity that I had and you weaponised that against me just so you could keep me close.” You say softly. “You knew, either way, I would’ve stayed because I’ve always been there, Jungkook.”

“You’re confusing me.” He deadpans, grabbing onto your shoulders so you were forced to stare at him.

He notices the glistening of your eyes as he feels his heart constrict when he realises you’re trying your best to keep your tears at bay.

“Well, you did it first so it’s only fair.” You sniffle. “You can act like shits fine because you weren’t the one who was attached. I was. So just let me have this time to myself to figure things out because I can’t even be around you without being sad, Jungkook.” You whimper.

He calls for your name but you're already furiously rubbing at your eyes as you curse under your breath as you spin on your heels to hurry away.

Jungkook gapes at you as he attempts to process what you just said, but before he can get another word in—you're leaving him to feel the weight of your words in the footsteps that draw further and further away.

Nova & Thalia Headcanons

hello everyone and welcome back to a new episode of “Buttercup is a Yearning Sapphic with far too many thoughts about One (1) sapphic ship in a D&D Show and they’ve decided to make it everyone else’s problem!”, this time with Nova & Thalia from Aerois! (no cut bc i dont understand how tumblr works (sorry) and everything is being pasted straight from our dms bc i cba to rewrite or reformat this)

a modern setting AU but it's specifically for the sake of like. nova and thalia lying next to each other on the roof of a car, and you have nova pointing out different stars in the night sky they see and like, thalia knows all of this already, but she loves her beloved nerd so she's content to just listen to nova ramble

ALTERNATIVELY, au where they're watching the stars together and you get the trope of "arent they just beautiful" (nova, abt the stars), "yeah," (thalia, lovingly, looking at Nova) [or vice versa, i could imagine either of them in either position]

now, please also consider, nova and thalia slow dancing together, again under the stars bc im gay and love the stars but frankly it could be anywhere bc i think the importance is mostly on the way they're look at each other, how close they are

but specifically, i like the concept of thalia, being a princess, knowing how to slow dance really well and nova not really knowing and being worried abt stepping on thalia's toes but maybe they're in the grass, maybe it's a late night and they were watching the stars and maybe it's just a peaceful summer day, regardless, thalia asks nova if she wants to dance and nova's willing to say less and they're just quietly slow dancing together, barefoot in the grass. there may not be music playing but that's okay bc their laughter is all they really need and thalia's softly guiding nova as they go and maybe nova steps on her toes occasionally but thats okay bc she's learning and eventually they're just dancing and twirling together to no music but the sound of their laughter and their soft contentment

 ALTERNATIVELY, bc i am a sapphic and its my biggest fuckin dream, au where nova and thalia are dancing together at a masquerade ball and they're both dressed to the nines and have the nicest fuckin masks and maybe they play up the fact that they're "not supposed to know each other's identities" and its a little bit for show but it's just fun and they're having fun and lbr they're both being gay as shit beneath those masks

it is personally very important to me when queer people do the little pinkie hook hand hold thing bc its just. its such a small and lowkey thing but like. it's so important to me. and i just like to imagine nova and thalia on their own in a moment and just kind of like. hooking pinkies. maybe they wanna hold hands but its too hot to do that comfortably or maybe they just wish to anchor themselves onto one another without it being too much contact and they're just hooking pinkies but it's also that thing of like. when someone strays too far to the side when your holding hands and you kinda pull them back on course or its like, lifting your hands over slight obstacles so you don't have to stop holding hands and stuff like that but with them and their linked pinkies

okay so i dunno if this all applies in canon so if it doesn't just imagine some slight canon divergent settings BUT

nova and thalia having the gay moments of tucking a flower into the other's hair/behind their ear 

the tenderness of brushing someone's hair away from their face for them 

sharing music. yes this probably only works in a modern AU BUT, please imagine nova or thalia offering the other an earbud as they're shading a phone from sunlight so they can watch a video/listen to music/smth along those lines 

i offer as well, the gay panic of before your dating someone but accidentally brushing your hands together and not knowing if you can hold their hand or not 

this one's extremely self indulgent and modern AU-y as well but like, the experience of like being in a cafe or out with someone during like the day and maybe it's golden hour, maybe it's just the sun setting, but it's the way the sun hits their eyes or maybe it's golden hour light and that mixed in with everything and the way they're smiling/laughing in that moment and you're just fucking gone bc in that moment they're brighter than the sun itself

Now this next one requires some more context. But, my lockscreen right now on my phone is franmaya (from ace attorney) fanart of Maya holding Franziska’s hand and pulling her along through a park very excitedly pointing at something. Now, please imagine this with Nova & Thalia

specifically, in an aquarium or some shit and nova's dragging thalia around and pointing at all the neat things

aestivalor: YES omg the constant internal battle of “shes so cute when she’s all excited like this she’s so pretty and smart I love her so much wAIT LISTEN TO HER THEN DUMBASS SHES TALKING TO YOU”

(also in my heart of hearts, nova when she's excited talks a lot with her hands / she bounces and paces around and is very like hand flappy or generally has like these little happy stims and it's the cutest thing and thalia loves it sm)

other soft nova & thalia thoughts but not necessarily just ship thoughts include little things like

nova fiddles with the ends of her scarf when she's nervous (i suppose, now, it's aila's tartan bc i think she added it to the end of her scarf?), but i like the concept that if she ever ended up with smth from thalia that's like, a ring or a bracelet or a necklace, that that would also end up in the rotation as like. smth she messes with. like if it's like a pendant on a chain type necklace she'll move the pendant up and down the chain or if its a ring/bracelet it's just her twisting it where it is but i just like the idea of nova being nervous and using like, these things that were given to her by her family as a way to ground / calm herself

(I was then reminded that nova has a charm bracelet with thalia’s family crest on it so Imagine That for this specifically)

(also please imagine thalia doing the same with anything she'd be given from nova or her other loved ones)

nova and thalia being nervous/afraid and doing that thing where you squeeze your partner's hand in reassurance

SIMILARLY, nova &/or thalia listening to music while they're out an abt and maybe they're holding hands and maybe thalia's tapping along to the music on nova's hand and it's such a small thing and maybe thalia doesn't fully realize it but nova doesn't mind it and thinks its kinda charming so she lets it happen

ALSO. going back to the dancing thing real quick. personally bc im someone who loves street performers like so fuckin much, i like the concept of like, that being a thing on aerois right, and perhaps its the party's day off or smth and so you have nova and thalia walking around town or smth and they pause to listen to like. some performer who's playing violin or smth right, and consider, perhaps, thalia asking nova then and there if she could have that dance and the two of them dancing along to this random performer's music bc maybe it's silly but it's fun (bonus points if the song that’s being played is kingdom dance bc god those are the perfect vibes)

There’s so many things I love about the show that I haven’t seen people give enough credit for and I want to go on a little ramble because people are focusing so much on what they don’t like vs. what they do. So here’s my list. Sorry for the grammatical errors 😬

I love that the lesbian main character is this sweet, innocent, big hearted young woman and not portrayed as a overly sexual fuckboi that hits on every woman. I love that Fatou is soft and gentle. More lesbian rep like that please

I love the soundtrack. It’s exactly the type of stuff I imagine Fatou would listen to and it’s not just the top 100 hit songs.

I love that they use the soundtrack as a way to connect to the plot line, like the lyrics to the song Fatou was listening to when she was on the rooftop said “And I hate to leave you feeling all alone.But your story cannot start until you've grown. You can find how to be OK on your own. I just can't be the one that makes you feel at home” which was a hint as to where the plot was going

^^ also the song playing during Kieu My and Fatou’s museum date

I love the little mannerisms Nhungi chooses to show as Kieu My. The happy little bounce she did in ep 1 when she called out Fatou’s name and when she subtly checked Fatou out by looking her up and down.

I love how their rooms show their individual personality so well. Like Fatou’s room in the beginning of the season was normal and then it became increasingly messy as the episodes moved forward, showing her stress and chaos in her life

I love the height difference between Fatou and her brother lol

I love when her brother and her were thinking of what to get their parents so they split the bill on a gift - a very subtle way of showing siblings interacting

I love when Fatou and Ismail interact cuz it’s so funny

I love the physics teachers speaking voice, he sounds like kermit the frog

I love fatou’s eyebrows. Idk it’s just so perfect. Give me tips plz

I love that the characters rewear clothing. And it’s not a show where every episode is a new outfit with new clothes. Very realistic and it always bothered me when teens on highschool on tv have new clothes every episode

I love that Fatou’s original bio on tinder was “wanna cuddle?”. I feel like that girl would rather cuddle with someone than win the lottery. She’s so soft (also why did it say she was 24 in ep 2 when she was on tinder lol)

I love that the show showed the struggles of coming from a bilingual family and being the only one that struggles to speak it. When fatou was talking to her grandparents with her brother and her brother had to translate for her and it was awkward af, I felt that. I’m the youngest in my family and I struggle to speak Tagalog so people have to translate for me sometimes and it sucks.

^^ I relate to fatou so much in that scene cuz the dynamic in my family is the same as Fatou’s. My parents lay off and let me and my brother do our thing unless there’s an indication we need their help. The only time I ever spoke about school with my family was when report cards would come and they would see my grades weren’t that good. I remember my mom seeing I had a D in middle school and automatically jumping to conclusiosn without letting me speak. My brother is academically successful and he would also try and get me to do more school stuff when I was younger. Like he would make me do math problems to help with my grades. So it’s all very relatable for me

I love when Fatou sings, her voice is so soft and smooth.

I love whenever Kieu My and fatou are flirting both so blatantly and yet so subtly. Like the tension is there but it’s still awkward despite how smooth they both try to be it’s so adorable

I love how Fatou and Kieu My are so confident flirting and talking to eachother through texting but when it’s irl it’s still awkward and new. It shows the reality of an actual relationship in the making. It’s not just a full head dive into “I love you”.

I love when they were at the table tennis bar place and Fatou was hyping up Ava when there were dudes looking at them and Ava did a fancy ass turn and smile. She’s so pretty

I love that Fatou’s problems were shown in subtle ways in the beginning with money. Counting money at her job and when she wa trying to pay for the drink at the bar. It was a small interaction but in real life it would cause a lot of stress and anxiety if money counting problems kept happening over and over again

I love Yara and Josh’s friendship. More platonic friendship between a male and a female please. Also more Yara in general please.

I love that Zoe owned up to her actions last year to the entire group (minus Ismail Constantine and Kieu my) on New Years. I see her owning up to the role as Nora’s big sister.

I love when Josh was drinking a lot during New Years and Fatou was trying to get him to slow down. It shows how big her heart is for her friends. Also I think Josh and Fatou could be great friends

I love that Kieu My looks at Fatou like she hung the stars. When Fatou mentioned she knew Kieu My was a Scorpio, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen that girl smiled so big (before episode 5 of course)

I love that whenever they kiss Kieu my is smiling.

I love Sira’s side profile. There I said it. Girl has the jawline of a Greek goddess.

I love that they change Fatou’s hair. She looks good in every hair style but it’s always nice to see her in different styles.

I love that they showed the struggles of being a passive and gentle person. Because we’re not assertive in regular everyday life we are easily looked over. And it’s hard for us to muster the gusto to be assertive and take what we need because we prefer shying away from conflict and just letting things flow. I relate to fatou’s character so much in that sense. I lowkey think this is the universe’s way of telling me to stop being so passive about life and to take charge idk.

I love that the topic of white savior and performative activism was touched on. And I love that it was between two friends because it’s very realistic to how dynamics work between young people these days. The way they handle it differs in opinion but the fact that they even spoke about it was great.

I love that moment when Kieu My wrapped the vietnamese pancake in the lettuce snd handed it to Fatou. Its so sweet. If I was Fatou I would have forgiven her right then and there lol

I LOVE THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWo. YES MORE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE.

I love Sira’s acting in general. But the way she shows Fatou’s sadness is great. It’s not just tears and that’s it. When she got fired it was a build up of tears but she wasn’t sobbing, same thing with the cashqueens argument. But she broke when her and Kieu My got in a fight.

Finn being socially awkward. It’s so funny cuz Zoe is this bubbly party girl and her boyfriend is so awkward. Nice balance.

Ismail opening up to Fatou shows how so many people feel at ease with her. Girl has a calming presence for everybody, she doesn’t even realize how much she’s helped others.

I love that Constantine wears the same jacket over and over again. Idk it seems to fit his character.

Not much to say for Lucifer, well actually a lot but ima shorten it bc it makes me mad (my previous post says it all basically), so I mean yeah it’s love hate thing with him I either wanna hit or hug him so he’s ranked either 5 or 6 out of the brothers gets bonus points for his daddy issues and being a dad who has a son with daddy issues hahahahahah Ima satan kinnie I will not confirm nor deny my issues with my dad 🥴👁👄👁💧

I mean ironically enough I do watch horror movies and ride rollercoasters even if I’m hella scared like even if Im so scared I wanna cry I force myself it’s weird I got issues, he’s my current fave, this tsundere dork is so adorable I wanna hug him so tight, especially when his brothers make fun him like stop leave him alone but I also wanna tease him and if he teases me back i would hit bc I have this issue where I hit people I like

Kuroo likes Halloween

He’s not super hyped up about it, but he loves playing scary pranks on his friends and then using Halloween as an excuse :)

He tells Lev and Inuoka that the boy’s toilet on the 2nd floor is haunted and do they believe him?? Absolutely, yes. 

He doesn’t mind going on spooky dates, either!

In fact, he’ll drag you to watch a horror film or stay up all night exchanging scary stories

He would also probably take you and the team “ghost hunting” around the school after volleyball practice when it’s dark and no one’s around

Nerd boy with his nerd costumes

He doesn’t want to spend too much effort or money in a costume he’s only going to wear once this year, but he doesn’t want a lame costume, either

He’d love to get matching costumes with you!!

But all his suggestions will be either memey or nerdy costumes

The firsts that come to mind are the ‘woman screaming at cat’ (he’ll be the cat) or he’ll get you both matching t-shirts with the elements copper (Cu) and tellurium (Te) printed on them “so when we stand next to each other, everyone can see how CuTe we are”

He is also not opposed to character costumes like Rick and Morty or Hogwarts wizards/witches

Kuroo will go to a party with you and slip away for a while the second you both get there with no explanation and then very unsuspiciously hang around you all night

Later you find out he has signed you both up for the costume contest

The both of you are definitely not the best dressed ((read below: suga and his s/o)) but strut on the stage like it’s a fashion show

Or if you refuse to go up and participate because you were involuntarily signed up, Kuroo will still go up alone, pick up a microphone with a deadpan face and say “this is supposed to be a matching costume but there were some technical difficulties” you brought this on yourself, kuroo

Haunted houses and horror films are definitely his favourite things about Halloween!

I feel like Kuroo isn’t afraid of the ghosts and stuff, but he doesn’t handle being jumpscared well

When he gets shocked while in a haunted house or during a movie, he’ll yelp out a bunch of swears lmao

But he loves the temporary adrenaline rush and 10/10 will do it again

If you tease him and call him a scaredy cat, he’ll pout

And you can expect him trying to sneak up on you and scare you the next day

Iwa doesn’t care much for Halloween

He gets a little annoyed at all the Halloween-themed products that stores come out with because he thinks it’s just a marketing scheme to sell some overpriced shit (it is)

But if you want to go try out pumpkin desserts or visit a haunted house, he’ll indulge you just because he loves spending time with you no matter what you two end up doing

He’s usually not one to dress up for Halloween

The most he’s done is put on a t-shirt with a superhero logo on it 🙄

Oikawa has tried multiple years to get him in “matching best friend costumes” but Iwa has never once agreed

But if you pout a little a few weeks before Halloween, bribe him with some kisses, catch him in a good mood, he’ll say yes (make sure to say no takebacks)

Deciding on a costume consists of you giving suggestions and Iwa saying yes or no to them

He doesn’t want to do something very costume-y, he prefers to wear an outfit that can pass as a regular outfit but it’s based on a character from a movie or series

E.g. Kim and Ron from Kim Possible, Ash/Misty and Brock from Pokemon (Iwa would be perfect as Brock??? he’s already got the hair down fdkjs), Sandy and Danny from Grease (show off his arms yes)

Iwaizumi will go to a Halloween party because all his friends are going lol

Oikawa will be devastated when he sees Iwa wearing matching costumes with you and this is partly why he agreed to do it with you

He’ll keep you by his side or follow you around for most of the party because “the costume won’t make sense if he’s standing alone” or whatever sir just say you’re too shy to do it alone

If you want to stay home, he’s fine with it too

Whether you want to have a movie marathon, bake something, carve pumpkins, anything really, he’ll do it with you

Lowkey wants to watch scary films so he can “protect you” if you get scared

Like if you’re squeezing his arm during a scary scene he’ll be like “it’s not that scary, you wimp” but also he’s pulling you closer and putting his arm around you and his heart is fluttering-

so in conclusion: iwa is a simp for you

Bonus: one time you came over to his house and his mom showed you a picture of 6-year-old Iwaizumi dressed up as godzilla for Halloween💖

Halloween isn't his favourite holiday for um.. personal reasons

Once October comes around, Asahi is already being tormented by some of his friends (it’s suga) scaring him

He doesn’t despise everything about Halloween, though - in fact, there are some things he really loves about Halloween

Like going to a pumpkin festival, baking sweet treats together, enjoying a walk in the park with the pretty autumn scenery, or choosing and DIY-ing costumes

Asahi loves the costume planning with you!!

The both of you will take days or even weeks in advance finding the perfect costume and figuring out how to make them

He definitely prefers the cute costumes over gory costumes

Some of the costume ideas are Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, Cheshire Cat/Alice and the Mad Hatter/White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, or characters from the Wizard of Oz

i don’t know why all of these are from children’s fantasy stories im sorry-

You and Asahi will take turns going to each other’s houses after school or on weekends and working on your costumes together (It’s his favourite part (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ))

If he goes to a Halloween party, it’ll probably be a small gathering, such as a potluck with the Karasuno volleyball team

Everyone will be in awe of how cute you two look!!

If the team decides to switch off the lights and leave a flashlight on, gather around and tell spooky stories, he’ll want you next to him and you two will be holding onto each other

After you get back, clean up and change into your comfiest pyjamas, Suga has already set up the living room

The couch is stacked with pillows and blankets, some of the lights are switched off, there’s a large bowl of popcorn and your trick-or-treat loot on the table and the movies are already queued on the TV 

If you’re not a big fan of horror movies, he’ll opt for less scary but still Halloween-themed movies like Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas or Coraline (coraline’s kinda creepy but so good), or the “horror/thriller” movies that are just bad so you both can laugh at them

You and Suga snuggle under the blankets with pillows all around, munching on your snacks and watching the movies until you both fall asleep together
