THE TALE OF THE OUTCASTS — FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Welcome peeps! The week is almost done, and I still have a planned Friday BL post for tomorrow and one last first impression to be up on Saturday. Look at me go! My blog has never seen such commitment from me, WordPress is probably in tears as I’m typing this. So without further delay, let’s move on to the review. Continue reading Untitled

i need a fic or something where steve tells eddie "hey you were a dick in high school too. jumping on tables and screaming at people who just want to eat their lunch about their conformism to the man or whatever was annoying as fuck. also why did lucas have to choose between a sport and your nerd game that's normal. people are multidimensional. I'm not alone in this, who wasn't a total dick at 16. where is your redemption arc mister."

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible
like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that
#zedaph#hermitcraft#genuinely i adore the clucky few project im not even done watching the episode and i had to pause and make this post#i saw impulses video first and went ''that HAS to be some sort of datapack or something-''#only to immediately go ''no. no it cant be. because this is zed#and its practically a trademark of his to push the limits of the game as far as possible in the direction least expected#not for the purpose of efficiency or spectacle or intimidation or whatever like some players who push limits#but purely for the purpose of making something so funny you cant help but laugh at whats going on#and maybe being a bit impressed that he ever thought of it in the first place''#at which point i went ''holy shit. since its zed doing this. somehow he ACTUALLY got a villager on a chicken. with no cheats. thats INSANE'#i was relieved when i checked my subscriptions to see what the next video i had to watch was and saw he would be next in line#bc if i had to sit through 19 other hermits videos before i could watch his and find out what the fuck he was doing i would have been so sa#sidenote but i feel like a zed video where he interacts with this many other people all in the same video is so rare#idk i didnt watch season 9 and i know he started collabing a lot more w/ other hermits then#so maybe its not nearly as rare these days#but like the last one that *i* saw where he interacted with this many people at once was towards the end of season 8#when all the people he experimented on earlier in the season came back to experiment on him#and like i would like zeds videos with or without the collabs. but its a lot of fun to see him interact with people#so its very cool to me when he does it with a lot of people all in the same video

Btw friendly reminder that the anime cut the scene where after jumping off the sinking ship Mitchell and Hawthorne encountered James L. - the Guild's top-level's secretary that the pm killed at the end of season 1 -... Only to find out it was actually his corpse standing tall, eviscerated and filled with lemon bombs, complete with graphic depiction of his face splitting open and lemon bombs rolling off it

Truthfully I don’t think ianto jones even had a thing for suits, at least not initially. In his attempts at seducing his way into a job he tested a variety of clothing and it was the suit which finally got results. Jack had a thing for (ianto in) suits.

I have listened to a total of 1 and a half episodes of season 2 of DnDads. Here a rundown of each character
Linc - Matt played Henry so well in SWAP he literally becomes Henry but a teenager. Literally. (But with actual good dads)
Scary - She was pissed she couldn't play Terry so she's playing Terry 2.0
Normal - Henry found his niche again and he's actually playing into it so well
Taylor - Glen tenfold, I cannot express the annoyance I have for this man but the urge to protect him like he's my little brother
Art will come soon

They are finally, finally free of Chuck and his interference in their lives. And suddenly everything they feel changes, and…
“Goddammit!!!” Dean bursts out and Sam thinks that makes sense. Dean would be the first to come to terms with just how much Chuck interferes with them.
It was that one all-too-brief brush of fingers as Dean handed him a beer; something that had happened countless times throughout the years but this time there was a spark. A jolt of want and the sudden surety that the want has always been there, but hidden. Suppressed.
By Chuck.
“Goddamnit,” Dean says again, low and hurt. “I’m gonna hunt him down and end him.”
And Sam agrees with the sentiment, but really… “Maybe don’t?” The look Dean gives him has him hastening to add “He’s not worth it, Dean. I don’t want to waste another second on him when we could be…”
He can’t put words to it, not yet, not until he knows Dean feels it too. He’s not worried. The slow grin spreading across Dean’s face says they’re on the same page.
“You got a point, Sammy.” Dean’s hand on his knee, heavy and warm through the denim. “You always were the brainy one.”
It should feel awkward - this is Dean, his brother, after all - but they’ve been dancing around the want that Chuck suppressed for decades, played chicken right up to the edge and it’s incredible that they never realized they wanted to fall, so kissing Dean feels like the most natural thing in the world. And even though they’ve both got beds, just down the hall, it’s too far. Would take too long to get there, and they might have to stop kissing, so Sam pulls Dean down with him as he lays back on the table and Dean isn’t objecting at all. They don’t even bother to get naked, not this time, just rut together until they’re both coming in their jeans like a couple teenagers and if his mouth wasn’t still busy Sam might laugh at that.
Dean does laugh, pulling back just enough to let the sound out, leaning forward to rest his forehead against Sam’s. “I swear I’m better than that,” he says.
“Oh yeah? Prove it.” Because even if they’re in love, always have been, Sam is still a little brother. And besides, he kinda wants to know what Dean’s like when he’s trying to impress.

REVENGER — FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Hello friends, how are you today? I personally have some adulting to do today so I’m not exactly enthusiastic, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? I’m taking a one-day break from talking about isekai and switching to a historical anime with samurai, some cool murder gadgets, and characters that I could swear I saw in a local, indie coffee brewery.  REVENGER is an original story written…

I'm still thinking about that scene in Victoriocity S3E7 where Fleet runs back towards the Beast so as to lure it into the path of the train...
Clara's exclamation of 'Teamwork, Fleet!' after Fleet says he's got a plan reflects her conviction that any plan that Fleet has will be a shared plan, something they do together.
This conviction is a kind of trust, and that trust is part of the reason Clara takes a moment to realise Fleet has headed back towards the Beast. She trusts that he's following behind her. She keeps talking to him, her words full of optimism.
When she realises Fleet isn't there, she immediately realises what that must mean he's done, and her voice sounds more small and scared than I think we've ever heard it before.
Fleet's attempt at self-sacrifice is a kind of betrayal of Clara's trust, but when he echoes her celebration of their teamwork in a more somber tone, I think it suggests that he understands the weight of that betrayal.
If Fleet's plan is that Clara won't realise he's gone until it's already too late, then he thinks "Teamwork, Clara" will be the last words he'll ever speak to her. In what he imagines will be their final conversation, Fleet affirms Clara's understanding of them as a team who work well together, even as he is making a choice that rejects the possibility of their teamwork in this scenario. It's a recognition of what their dynamic has meant. It's a goodbye and an apology, even if Clara doesn't understand it as such at first.
I don't think Fleet sounds scared as he initially faces down the train. When he shouts "Yeah, this way, you stupid machine! Come on then!", he sounds defiant and grimly determined.
In fact, I don't think he sounds afraid until Clara appears, until she might be at risk of being in the path of the Beast or the train as well. It's when he shouts "Clara, stay back for God's sake!" and "Please, get back!" that there's real fear and desperation in his voice. He can confront the idea of giving his own life, but not the idea that doing so might put Clara in danger.
Another thing about these lines is that the move from 'stay back' to 'get back' suggests that Clara didn't obey his first instruction but got closer to him (and therefore to the path of the Beast and the train) between those two lines.
Then Fleet gives what might be another attempt at his last words: "I'm sorry! I'm sorry."  A repeated apology before an attempted self-sacrifice is an implicit acknowledgement of how much losing him would hurt Clara. He regrets causing her pain.
Even so, he's accepted that he is about to die and that it'd be worth it to destroy the Beast. But Clara very much hasn't accepted either those things. She's still trying to yell over the noise of the train; she's pulling off her ring to throw at him.
I think it's a good illustration of how Clara's optimism is a kind of strength. She always believes that they can "make a new plan" and that it'll be one in which no one has to die. I think Archibald Fleet needs someone like that, someone who'll tell him to drop to the ground when his death advances from both sides, someone who - even in a dark tunnel with an murderous metal monster and a speeding train - won't stop shouting that there's hope.

No 2023 driver move silly season? Fine, make 2024 is just silly season overall. Sainz appendicitis, Bearman points, Williams in general, Max's insane leads, Sauber pit stops, Kmag Saudi defense, even Alpine's horrendous downfall.
Everyone has years they write into history books, whether it's 2009 with Brawn and Jenson Button, 2021 overall, even 2016 with either Max Verstappen moving to Red Bull mid season or Brocedes fighting like crazy, but 2024 can definitely be on your lists now.
At this point, we can maybe expect Jenson Button fulfilling his 3 place grid penalty he still has, Fernando Alonso winning his 33rd race, Yuki Tsunoda replacing Sergio Pérez for a race, Max Verstappen going to Mercedes, Carlos Sainz back in Red Bull, or literally anything in between.
2024 is silly season even outside the driver market, there is no doubt about it.

Oh and the way the lights changed from purple (Fyodor's color & generally associated with evil in this franchise) to blue (Fukuzawa's / the agency's color & generally associated with good) when Fukuzawa arrived... This season's direction is a masterpiece
