This moment before Ahsoka´s trial always semed so interesting to me, because of what wasn´t said.

At the moment Ahsoka had her trial Anakin and Padme had stopped seeing each other, this was post Clovis chapter and they were just doing their own thing.

But then this happens and that means they had this conversation at some point before going to see Ahsoka at her cell.

Anakin: Enters Padme´s office.

Padme: Anakin, I already told you, we need time, we are living a lie, we must stop seeing each other and...

Anakin: Ahsoka was accused of treason and she´s going to have court martial.

Padme: I will get my court gown and my blaster, let me off at those bitches

Anakin: Nods, I will get the son of a hutt who´s framing her.

I know It´s been said before but Ahsoka was their kid your honor.

Can we please just fire Dave Filoni and Kathleen Kennedy now. I'm so tired of Padme and Naboo erasure. Both of them are important to Star Wars! And I hate the foreshadowing of the ST. The ST should've never happened at all. Screw JJ Abrams and Rian whatever his last name is.

ANYWAYS, the Jedi Order is reborn, and Luke is guiding the new Jedi. The New Republic has formed, and the galaxy is recovering from years of darkness from the Empire. What are sequels again? Idk. Sequels don't exist. I just see a new golden era in the galaxy.

Part I - Dave Filoni I will say Dave Filoni under the direction of George Lucas gave us amazing stuff-- Ahsoka Tano, Rex, Fives, Echo, Jesse, expansion of Order 66, the Clone Wars themselves. But him on his own? Not so great.

Ahsoka's walkabout in s7 was boring, the two sisters had potential but blundered in the execution. The BadBatch arc in s7 featured super amazing Anakin, and I did like the whole 'rescue Echo' plot line, but the Bad Batch as a TV show… I have some criticisms of it.

I like the ' what happens to the Clones after the Empire forms? They've served their purpose-- are they still relevant?' story line. It would be a great one to explore with normal clones. In fact, following Cody around, a clone who did participate in Order 66 and had his mind taken over, would've been a novel experience.

Instead we get genetically enhanced clones who don't have programing chips cause they're special snowflakes and don't partake in Order 66 bc they're special. Getting to see their side of Order 66 really brought nothing-- it's the same as the Jedi. Why are the clones turning against the Jedi? No one knows! It's rinse and repeat watered down version of ROTS, and i'd much prefer watching that movie over the first two episodes of TBB.

I will also give credit-- Dave Filoni and Favereau gave me The Mandalorian. A side character who doesn't know he's the main character just trying to make his way in the larger GFFA. He's a normal guy with a job. Then new dad has to deal with his adopted kid having Wizard powers. ME Likey. It's similar to Andor in down to earth, not life and death, Jedi/Sith fate of the Galaxy type of thing. It's what normal life would've been like in GFFA.

Third season and some of second season haven't felt like that though. Din keeps meeting all these famous people that are tied of in the 'Fate of the Galaxy' --Bo Katan, Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Cad Bane, Luke fucking Skywalker-- instead of more normal people. I do appreciate the smallness of season 1-- we had Peli, and Omera, and Karga. Characters not known to the larger galaxy, but still important in their own right.

Part II- Female Characters

Star Wars has never appreciated or loved it's female characters with the exception of Princess Leia. Original Trilogy follows Luke-- male character, who with the help of an older male character, goes and finds another male character pilot to help them infiltrate a small moon space ship full of male characters.

There are exactly TWO female speaking characters in A New Hope and one gets kriffed off to 'enhance male pain'.

Now, by nature of the story, Padme Amidala get shafted before she was even ever named or created -- Luke was raised by his aunt and uncle so something must have happened to his mother. She is 'unknown mother' defined only relationship with her son and then later to her husband.

It's not until the Phantom Menace when she gets her own storyline, that is little to non effected by her relationship to Anakin. She's a queen who has someone invade her planet, and with the help of two Jedi and the Gungan People, saves the day.

Anakin helps of course, by first winning them enough credits to get off tattooine, and second by blowing up the control ship, but both situations could be solved without Anakin. He becomes the unnecessary character-- his introducution is so low-key you don't realize the story is about him until Revenge of the Sith. He's a supporting side character in both Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

Both prequel movies that don't feature Anakin as protagonist or antagonist are hated by a large majority of SW fans, and usually because of the crime of not being perfect. Jar Jar Binks is just as annoying as C-3PO imo, but because the protagonist of TPM is Padme Amidala, the movie is hated, as opposed to ANH which features Luke.

Padme's fate was written before she even had a chance to exist, and therefore has no agency. I've seen others label her as weak, pointless, lame, because she dies of a broken heart, 'oh why didn't she live for her children' SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE OKAY. George had already killed her by then, she can't live for her children when the author has decided otherwise. The nature of a prequel is it must narratively co-exist with the story already told. Padme must die or be removed from the picture so that Luke can be raised by his Aunt and Uncle. Anakin must fall to the Dark-Side so that he can be Darth Vader and do a heel-face turn at the end of ROTJ. the end has already been written. The beginning must fall in line.

Getting back on topic. Fathers are mentioned in The Mandalorian- which makes sense since it's about a Father and his Son. oh wait that's seems that's what Star Wars is about. Prequels were Anakin picking which father-figure he wanted to follow. Luke saving his Father. Din Djarin adopting a son with magic powers.

But Bo-Katan mentions her father TWICE and her sister doesn't even get a mention. Even though Bo was there at Satine's death, and the reason Bo left death watch and stood up to Maul. When Satine died, Mandalore split and fractured and any attempt of restoring mandalore just resulted in more fracturing and shattering.

In Obi-Wan Kenobi not mentioning Padme was criminal. The whole reason Anakin fell was to save her. Her daughter and son were featured prominently and her name didn't come up once besides two vague mentions.

SW needs to treat it's female characters better. Right now Leia is still the only one that's almost universally loved by the fans. Even Bo Katan has issues. By not acknowledging her past and mistakes and death watch , instead of making her a stronger character, the writers have made her weak. Making mistakes and learning from them and growing from them are what causes her to be relatable. So far, Mando S3 has been rushing her redemption process. They're having her reunite Mandalore, but she hasn't atoned or made up for her failings in the past.

It was her involvement in Death Watch that lead to her sisters death, and the writers essentially ignoring that and trying to hide it is lazy and the antithesis to character growth.

Part III - Disney's Anti- Prequel campaign.

The sequel trilogy… is problematic. While trying to emulate and give us the 'star wars' feeling again, all the films did was undermine the finale of the original trilogy.

What was Darth Vader's return to the light for if we're just going to bring back Palpatine? What was the point of Luke's rejection of the darkside and declaring himself a Jedi in the face of evil itself, if we're just going to have him become a hermit on a planet because he gave up? What was the point of the Alliance to Restore the Republic if we're just going to blow it up because it's corrupt?

The problem with trying to avoid the prequel trilogy is the sequel trilogy just became the prequel trilogy. Hear me out.

We have a corrupt Republic that is destroyed by an Empire. A Jedi student falls to the Dark Side and serves the Empire. A desert dwelling person with magical powers is told that they are the key to saving the galaxy. Am i talking about the Prequel Trilogy or the Sequel Trilogy?

The difference is the prequel trilogy was planned. From start to finish, no half baked retconning or switching directions (both original and sequel trilogies suffered from this) George Lucas had the entire prequels laid out. Their largest crime I believe is in writing/dialogue-- not the plot. It's complicated-- how does a republic turn into an empire? How does a Jedi Knight become a sith? How does the Jedi Order become extinct? Through War and Careful Planning. So while the prequels are not perfect, their world building brought much needed light and explanation to the Original Trilogy. It answered questions, but the answers were not what everyone liked.

They wanted the Republic to be conquered by an outside Empire, not for it to be one and the same. Fans wanted Anakin to be strong and heroic, and not a man who is crippled by self-doubt and his greatest failure is his greatest strength- his breath and depth of love.

The sequel trilogy should've been the struggle of not repeating the same mistakes. Of avoiding the past not repeating it. Of Luke not giving up and not becoming Obi-Wan. Of Han not becoming Qui-Gon Jinn or Ben Skywalker not becoming Darth Vader. Or Rey being her own self and not being Luke 2.0 aka finding out that her grandfather is evil just like Luke found out that his father was evil.

Star Wars is was the first to suffer from Disney's new nostalgia machine where live action play by play of beloved animated movies are created without souls; and sequels that are just the same story retold with the next generation. 'Happily Ever After The End' no longer exists, the hope of a happy ending destroyed with the next sequel announcement. Where does it end Disney? When you've wrung the last love and enjoyment out of your original titles? When consumers no longer go to the movies to see your new Frankenstein movie? When catering Fan Service is no longer profitable?

Disney's addiction to sequels and reboots found it's first home in Star Wars Sequel Trilogy and continues in the rest of the Star Wars universe. What is Boba Fett if not a sequel to Mandalorian? What is Ahsoka if not a sequel to Rebels? What is Obi-Wan Kenobi if not a sequel to the Prequel Trilogy? What is Andor if not a prequel to Rogue one?

The Mandalorian didn't start out that way. Was it in the same universe? yes and so by nature it makes it a sequel. But there were new original characters and an original story. Now it's become a sequel and a prequel; the connecting link instead of a stand alone.

So yes anon, Padme and Satine deserve better. But you know what? We deserve better too.

Han, Leia, and Chewie meeting Din/opinions on him and their magic son after they start dating? Obviously R2 as well, the most important opinion of all

leia would absolutely love that luke has found someone he loves and trusts. she would instantly try to get to know din, and would research his culture and customs to make him as comfortable as possible. she also probably spoils grogu when neither are looking- but sh, don't give her away. shes the cool aunt!

han would probably develop his own man crush on din. like, who wouldnt? din is just so badass, attractive, and holy kriff that armor and his MUSCLES!! he'd just offhandedly mutter to luke, "if i wasn't already married to your sister i'd steal that hunk from you." leia has to agree with him. he calls grogu a stinky frog, much to din's chagrin. "he's not a frog!!!" "stinky frog!!" "NO!"

chewie would be all over grogu. i love imagining one of the largest characters we've met just carrying the smallest character we know everywhere with him. and grogu loved the attention, too! often times you can find grogu buried in the wookiee's fur because it gets cold sometimes!!

and i like to imagine that r2 probably recognizes grogu, and that grogu recognized him, and that's why he became more comfy with luke in the finale. theyd seen and met one another at the temple- and now, in luke's temple, grogu likes to sit on r2's head for some rides like a personal roomba uber.

Was that [WILLA HOLLAND]? Oh no no, that was just [LEIA ORGANA], a [CANON CHARACTER] from [STAR WARS]. They are [TWENTY FIVE] years old and [ARE] aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.

how long has your character been here -

leia technically has been here for nearly five years now. she’s been in dc since she was twenty three, and while for plotting sake i have her age on pages frozen at twenty five, she is almost twenty eight now. 

what is your character’s job -

president of the united states leia organa at your service

where has your character been pulled from in their fandom -

leia is pulled a few months after the battle of endor and the end of the galactic civil war. she was specifically on her way to a meeting with mon mothma about the role she would be taking in the new republic when she entered hyperspace and woke up in dc. that’s the last thing she remembers from home.

has any magic affected your character - 

multiple times, yes. when leia first arrived in dc, she was completely unaware of her life back in her galaxy. she had originally thought she grew up in a political family, her father being the senator from oregon, her mother being a state representative. during one of the first storms in dc, leia had gotten caught up in the magic which brought her memories of home back for the past few years. back in the summer however, for reason we’ll get into i promise, she went unaware again, was the absolute worst and regained her memories during the jumanji nightmare. so, while she is completely aware now, she was unaware for a few times on and off. you never know though, third time’s the charm, that might stick this time around

we know the drill by now right? i’m going to write a novel for no reason and apologize for how long i will go on gushing about the space mom

background : 

let me just start by prefacing this with i pull pretty much everything i know and write about leia from legends canon. i really don’t follow new canon at all. of course, for rp purposes we’ve meshed the two and i love the solo family and their four messy kids, but i do write leia solely from legends and the path that life took.

a woman of too many names and titles. born leia amidala skywalker, younger twin to luke skywalker, the only daughter of padme amidala and anakin skywalker, she and her brother were separated at birth following the death of their mother and the fall of their father. it was the safest option. they would be hidden away from vader and palaptine. they should have been safe that way. 

adopted by the organa’s, leia became the crowned princess to the alderaan throne, thus being known as the princess leia organa of the royal house of alderaan. and while she always knew she was adopted, she never knew about the family that she had lost to the force. her parents, bail and breha organa did everything they could to keep leia safe from that. she had at first, not shown any signs of the force. 

unfortunately she did reveal a skill in it around the time she was two, and was soon on the empire’s radar for the incident.

might have been a baby but hey, gotta start pissing the emperor off from a young age. 

while she never knew her twin growing up, leia had grown up with her best friend, and adopted sister, winter celchu. the two could not have been more different and yet as thick as thieves. winter was the perfect example of refined and regal, it didn’t take long for people to mistake her for the princess of alderaan. where leia was often mistaken as “a domestic girl”. which leia didn’t mind really. she never wanted the pressure of being the princess, to have to go through all of the training that her aunts would push on her. (she appreciates it more than she could have ever imagined now)

honestly shout out to winter for literally everything. the girls used to switch places, winter going to plenty of events as leia so that leia could sneak out of the palace and “create mischief and visit inappropriate boys”. this is something the girls carried on their entire lives, and even now winter will cover for her as president at least once a week. 

leia really was just a rebellious child and i apologize to bail and breha for the nightmare girl she was. she was kicked out of almost every single school on alderaan, one of them because she staged a protest for not giving the students fresh squeezed juice, at seven. and another because she broke into the school’s speaker system and changed the programming so that any mention of “emperor palpatine” was replaced with “emperor fuckface” and the empire’s anthem was replaced with the anthem of the old republic. she was like 13 at the time. 

she was mostly homeschooled after that by tutors. 

honestly i could go into everything leia did as a child because dear god she got in so much trouble she was a terror. like dropping a water balloon on tarkin’s head. truly read her legends wiki, it’s so funny.

proficient in far too many languages, it was her favorite thing to learn and one of the only tutors that held her attention. that and her self defense teacher, but that was to be expected. 

either way, leia learned that she hated most of high society, the way they all thought they were better than everyone, the lavish parties while people suffered and she, along with her father’s hand in training her for this, had decided early on that she wanted to change the galaxy she lived in. 

bail had trained leia for this. she was the youngest senator ever elected, at just eighteen when she was formally introduced to the galactic senate and palpatine himself.

she was only seventeen when her father started to bring her into the fold of the rebellion.

when her father stepped down from the senate, leia officially took his place and subsequently used her diplomatic immunity and cover for her ship to run secret missions for the rebellion. it began her first steps into her double life of senator and rebel. 

this was around the time that mon mothma had taken leia under her wing and she grew even closer into the senate but also the inner workings of the rebellion. she was meant to fully take over the rebellion thanks to mothma’s teachings.

this is about when we get to the events of the original trilogy so !!

alright deep breath everyone. 

first and foremost, let’s just talk about the solos. leia is a mother of four, grandmother to two, and aunt to one. and she loves each and every one of them with all her heart and soul. her kids are her life, her granddaughters hold all of her heart. truly is just a very family oriented person, despite her workaholic tendencies, she would do anything to keep her family safe. 

she is married to han solo, despite them living apart, she respects that han wants that space. being that intertwined with the presidency can’t be easy and she won’t ever force that on any of her family. they didn’t ask for that. 

she is kinda still the worst. i’m so sorry to any agent ahsoka assigns to her detail because leia is a runner. there are far too many times that ‘nebula’s disappeared’ is called over the radios. but listen she’s got her blaster it’s fine

currently trying to train to learn to control the force in her, but trust me it’s not going well. leia isn’t the worst with a saber, but the actual use of the force is something that still scares her. it’s a fear that she only talks to luke about, the both of them having an understanding about the darkness that continues to call to them. 

her anger takes over far too often, not thinking clearly when it does and it leave a perfect opening for manipulation. for her own fall. to make the mistakes of her father. and that terrifies her. 

she wants to be good, she wants to be a strong jedi, but she just doesn’t think it can happen. her greatest fear is that she will fall to the dark side as vader had, that she won’t be able to fight it. and with each encounter with palpatine, she fears he’s making more and more progress on that. 

she’s fought with palpatine about three times now, two of them discreetly, but another when she tried to kill him. a futile attempt that ended only with leia falling and her brother’s death only being mirrored instead of avenged. she wants to forget it ever happened but knows she can’t. 

she’s working on forgiving anakin, and is thinking that they’re making pretty decent progress. she’s started seeing him as anakin skywalker, and vader as a separate person completely. there’s still set backs, she still has nightmares about what vader did, about the days she spent locked in her cell on the death star. often she will close her eyes and clear as day feel vader’s hand on her shoulder, forcing her to watch as alderaan was destroyed. those days set her back. but she’s trying. 

right now, leia’s main goal is just keeping her kids safe. keeping luke and han safe. and trying to keep herself from falling. but she’s also made up her mind, that if any of her family is to deal with the dark side, leia will be the one to take that fall. she will let herself fall under palpatine if it ever came down to that or her family’s safety. 

god there is probably more i could ramble about, like certain things that happened in the og trilogy or headcanons about her and the force or her and her family or her and her job. who knows. i will probably do some like head canon posts for more details about like her and jabba or her and what happened on the death star idk glkdfjg

98 Thoughts while watching A New Hope

1. Who was that silver protocol droid? What happened to them? Are they okay? where are they now?? I bet they’re cooler than 3P0.

2. Rebel helmets are just silly.

3. I love how dirty R2 and 3P0 are. 

4. Man, Rex is right. Empire-era Stormtrooper armor is total shit.

5. Shut up Anakin.

6. Oh Space Mom. I will miss Carrie Fisher forever.

8. Something I really love about this first movie is that Leia doesn’t do anything overtly sexily. When she gets shot, she’s literally just laid out on the floor, on her belly. It’s not meant to be hot. And even later when she’s tortured, it’s not meant to be a male gaze thing.

9. For fuck’s sake Anakin. Your daughter is standing right fucking there, and you can’t even sense it. What a dumb. 

10. R2 is like “Fuck. This place again?”  But 3P0 was created on Tatooine and he doesn’t even remember. That’s kinda sad.

72. Not only does Obi-Wan sacrifice himself to give Luke an exit, but he does so because he’s giving Anakin a choice in terms of killing him or not. He’s giving him a moment of grace here, I think. To not be an evil fuck. But uh...Vader.

73. When Obi-Wan says “You can’t win.” He’s not talking about the duel. He’s talking about over-all. Being a Sith means that he can’t win. And his “If you strike me down, I’ll become more powerful than you can possibly imagine” refers to the amount of guilt and shame Anakin will feel in killing his brother. That that will eat at his soul. And it does.

Hello all, I updated Return of the Survivors today! Chapter 50 is up.  I never thought I’d be saying that, lol.  Below is a small selection, click the links to read more.  

Chapter 50 - Farewells

“Come on Brother.  We’re going to be late,” Leia urged.

“I’m coming,” Luke huffed.  He didn’t really want to follow his sister out to the Jundland Wastes of all places.  But when his sister gets an idea, he’s learned, resisting is almost a waste of breath.  Besides, he can’t let his sister come out here all alone, can he?  

“Alright,” Luke panted as he reached the top of a dune his sister climbed without trouble at all.  “Where is this rally?”

“It’s not a rally.  It’s a meeting of people with similar thoughts and ideas.  We all know the Emperor sucks Poodoo.  This is our chance to do something about it,” Leia said and she kept walking.  “Come on, they should be meeting Northwest of here.”

“Uh-huh,” Luke could sense the beings up ahead.  He could also sense a great amount of anxiety ahead, as well as the presence of Blasters.  Many of this crowd of anxious Tatooinians were armed, and that alone spelled disaster.  “If Dad knew we were out here, he’d throw a fit.”

Leia rolled her eyes.  “We’re almost eighteen.  We can decide this for ourselves.”  

“Yeah, you tell your Master that?” Luke quipped.

“No!  Master Yoda wouldn’t understand.  You know how he is:  One mention of helping the rebellion and I get extra meditation exercises for a week.”  As they were talking they walked up on a single tent in the desert.  “Look, we’re here!” Leia excitedly cheered.

Luke watched his sister carelessly pull aside the cloth door to the tent and step inside.  He fingered his blaster, the one Han Solo gifted him several years ago, which was holstered at his side.  He didn’t think bringing a Lightsaber, an obvious Jedi weapon, to a meeting which may yet have empire agents observing covertly, would be a good idea.  Despite how much faith his sister had in these people, he was not yet convinced.  

Luke pushed aside the door and followed Leia.  There were a number of tables set up along one wall, each featuring flimsy signs and pamphlets sharing their causes.  ‘ Support Neimoidian Refugees.  Boycott Raada Produce.  Coaxium mines support Spice trade.  Empire seeks to blind populace under Spice addiction .’ Luke read the signs as he passed them.  Leia pulled him by the arm all the way to a table on the other end of the tent.  

‘ Join the Rebel Alliance and fight for your universe! ’ was painted on the sign.  There was a man and a woman manning the table, each in a pristine uniform similar to the one that Juno Eclipse wore a year ago.  They were both busy with other persons when he and Leia arrived, so his sister began heartily reading the pamphlets on the table.  

“Look at this Luke.  I think you’ll be suited for the pilot’s core.” Leia tried to pass him one of the pamphlets.  

“Wha- You can’t be thinking of joining this?” Luke whispered.  

“Of course I’m not joining the pilot’s core.” Luke breathed a sigh of relief.  “I’m thinking either Intelligence, or Special Forces,” Leia answered with a smile.

Luke didn’t get the chance to respond as both of the officers turned to them and one asked, “Hello, May I help you?”

“Yes, I was just trying to decide where I’d like to serve.” Leia turned to the officer and told him.

“Oh, well that is easy.  First you’ll join our training corps, where you’ll learn a little bit of everything.  By the time bootcamp is finished, your instructors will learn where you excel, and  a decision can be made then.”  

“So we’ll be trained together.  Do you hear that, Luke?  We’ll be trained together!” Leia cheered.

“Are you ready to sign up now?  We only need a little bit of paperwork.”  The other officer said.

“No!” Luke stepped in front of Leia before she could respond in affirmation.  His eyes were serious.  Using their bond he spoke to her more.  ‘ This isn’t our path.’

‘Luke, you know as much as I do that this is what needs to happen.  They need as many volunteers to join their army as they can get.’ Leia protested over the bond.

‘ I agree, but we are Jedi.  We have a different role to play in this fight,’ Luke tried to argue.

‘ What role.  The Jedi haven’t done anything since Huyang.  And before that nothing at all except taking in the occasional force-sensitive refugee the Rebellion rescues.  Aunt Ausoka...’

Tears welled up in Luke’s eyes.  ‘ Aunt Ahsoka ran away.’

‘Aunt Ahsoka would agree with me.  She left a failing order.   As am I,’ In her head, Leia growled.  

The rebellion officers both stood there eyeing back and forth between the two of them.  Likely they had no idea the twins were communicating, and just thought it was a stare down.  After a few moments one nervously spoke up, “Look, I’m just going to leave this with you.  You don’t have to decide right now.  We’re going to be on Tatooine for the rest of the week.  If you decide to join, just fill out the form and bring it to us later.”  

Leia grabbed both forms from them without turning from Luke’s eyes.  She then turned to leave, pushing her way past the others as she walked.  Luke huffed and he followed after her.

The twins had heard stories about Ahsoka and her leaving the Jedi from both their father, and Aunt.  Luke knew how much it broke their father’s heart to watch his Padawan walk away.  He knew how much more it would hurt their father to watch them walk away too.  ‘ I have a week.  I just needed to convince Leia not to go in one week.’

As Leia walked away, she couldn't believe her brother.  Sure, he’d always been quiet when she’d mentioned the rebellion, but she just thought it was quiet support for what she was saying.  She never thought he’d side with her Master of all people.  And to use Aunt Ahsoka against her, like she was a warning about what happens when you leave the Jedi.  ‘ Ha.  Aunt Ahsoka would be proud of me for doing this ,’ she wiped a tear from her eye as she thought to herself.  ‘ One week, that’s good.  We turn eighteen in a week, and I have until then to convince Luke to see reason.’

what has your characters life been like prior to the awoken memories?

leia owns and runs a local law firm with her childhood best friend, dany. she’s known for taking a lot of pro bono cases and just, in general, as someone who is there to stick up for people who have been wronged, or people who don’t have a voice, or people who cannot stick up for themselves. she is the twin sister to luke skywalker and believed, until recently, that anakin skywalker was her younger brother. she’s also in a relationship with jean grey !

at what point of canon is your character’s memories coming from?

despite her younger appearance, leia will be regaining memories from both the original trilogy and the new one. naturally, the original trilogy events would come first, but gradually she’ll begin to remember the others as well.

how does your character feel about their new memories?

there’s so much for her to take in -- enough that she doesn’t really know where to start. of course, there’s the main point of the fact that the man she believed was her brother is actually her father, but she isn’t so sure she’s ready to address that just yet. one of the first memories she was hit with was the destruction of alderaan and as she begins to remember all of her friends and family on her home planet, that memory gradually becomes more and more heartbreaking for her. eventually, she’ll start to remember things from the newer star wars movies, which will be incredibly difficult for her on their own as she begins to recall things like luke and han’s deaths and ben’s fall to the dark side of the force.

the daughter of padme amidala & anakin skywalker and the twin of luke skywalker, leia was adopted at birth by bail and breha organa of alderaan.

she was raised as alderaanian royalty, though it was common knowledge that she was adopted. it was assumed she was just a child whom was left orphaned following the clone wars.

she grew up with a number of adoptive aunts whom doted on her as she was brought up to be a princess and eventual queen of alderaan, but it was also clear that she disliked the idea of becoming a simpering princess.

when she was nine, she actually ran away from the royal palace, and wound up hiding in the woods for a week before the royal guards finally found her.

by the time she was fourteen, she was already following in her father’s (and also her mother’s) footsteps in politics, becoming a junior legislator.

Actually use Luke in The Force Awakens. Don’t waste Mark Hamill. Don’t exclude him from marketing. Don’t force him to be on a mountain and say no lines whatsoever.

Have Luke’s big reveal be on Starkiller Base. Use Mark Hamill’s suggestion. ‘You can still have me come in at the very end, but how about this. How about Leia’s trying to contact me telepathically, she gets frustrated because there’s no answers, so she rushes to the new Death Star’–that’s three, so far.”He continued, “‘And she almost gets there but she gets stopped by two Stormtroopers and, just before she’s abducted, one Stormtrooper turns to the other one, blows him away, pulls off his helmet and says “Hi, sis, I’m here to rescue you.”‘ I say, ‘It’ll blow the roof off the joint, I’m still in it at the very end.'”“I think it’s more effective to have people that really have a history with Han Solo witness his death and be unable to stop it,” the actor claimed. “His wife, the mother of his child, his best friend, instead of two characters that have known him, what, 20 minutes?”

Use Mark’s other suggestion. After Finn is knocked unconscious, have the person who lifts the Skywalker Lightsaber be Luke. Luke duels Kylo and defeats his nephew and saves Rey and Finn. I know Jedi and force sensitives are more durable than normal people, but if you are thrown into a tree, you are going to be unconscious for at least an hour. So yes Luke being the one to lift the lightsaber would’ve been much better. It would’ve been a great entrance. The entire audience would have been cheering as they witness Luke’s return. Luke helps Chewie getting Rey and Finn aboard the Falcon and returns to D’Qar. Reunites with Leia and ends with Luke, Rey and Finn flying to the Ancient Jedi Temple on Ach-To preparing to train the new Jedi. 

Luke grieves for Han

Luke actually trying to help Ben as a Padawan, but it is in vain as he already turned to the dark side and made his choice.

Luke will tell Rey why he left the map behind. He wanted Leia to come and find him. It is revealed that Luke  did not run away, did not even consider running away, but rather went looking for the Jedi’s beginnings find the balance of dark and light–Luke Skywalker felt Rey and Finn awaken across half the galaxy, and settled on Ach-To, and waited.

Let Luke and Rey have a meaningful mentor and student relationship. Luke trains Rey, Rey develops her skills and Rey has a father figure that shows her place in the galaxy

Reveal that Luke is Rey’s father. After Rey falls into the dark side cave, Luke finds her and brings her near the fire and is there to comfort her. Then the revelation happens. Rey says “I’ve never felt so alone.” And we get Luke telling her “the force is strong in my family. My father had it, I have it, my sister has it and my daughter has it” “There is a reason you dreamed of this place.” “You were never meant to be left on Jakku…I thought you died the night in the academy.” “All those years. I was so alone.” “I know. I’m sorry.” “Did you ever try to find me?” “Of course. For so long I searched the galaxy for you. Everyone said that you had died that night in the temple, that I should give up searching. But through the force, I could still feel you. I knew you were still alive. Every face I seen, it was your. Every voice I heard, it was yours. It drove me crazy. I came to this island, turned away from the force because it was so hard. Feeling that you were somewhere in the galaxy and being unable to find you. Seeing you in front of me right now… I’ve never felt so lucky.” And Rey with tears in her eyes. “I waited so long for you and your finally here” they embrace, father and daughter reunited.” Rey then asks about her mother. Luke sadly says “her name was Mara Jade and she loved you very much.” Rey why she was left on Jakku. “Because of your cousin Ben, Kylo Ren.”  Luke tells her that after a decade of training Ben, and fighting to keep the dark side at bay, Ben turned to the dark side because his family kept the secret that Darth Vader was his grandfather. He still wanted to help his nephew and save him from Snoke. One night he went to him to talk to him, Ben saw this as Luke being afraid of his power and Ben was the one to strike first. And then he woke up to see the other Jedi Masters dead. His wife Mara Jade dead and even the younglings dead. Only six other Jedi left with Ben, those who would become the Knights Of Ren. Rey left with Ben because she trusted her cousin and she couldn’t find Luke or Mara.  and Ben left her on Jakku where no one would ever find her because a part of him couldn’t kill his cousin.

If we had to have a broken Luke, what would bring him back, is his father. Basically have a Lion King moment with Anakin and Luke. "You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself Luke, you are more than what you have become." would've meant more in my opinion if it were Anakin who reached out to Luke than Yoda.

Luke wants to save Leia. He  lifts his X-Wing and heads towards The Supremacy. Boards the ship and confronts Snoke. Luke will reveal his Green Lightsaber and Snoke’s own Black Lightsaber. They fight, while Rey and Kylo fights. Luke defeats Snoke, but Kylo cuts Rey’s hand off. Enraged, Luke knocks Kylo out with a force repulse. So Luke gives Chewie the signal and gets Rey to safety, while Luke heads back to his X-Wing. 

On Crait as Finn is about to make his sacrifice, we see Luke’s X-Wing firing and destroying the mini death star. 

Luke is actually there with his moment with Leia. He is there in person, not a force projection, he. is. there.

A true fight between Luke and Kylo. Kylo Ren orders every ship to fire on Luke AT-M6’s all firing but to everyone’s surprise, all blasts stop frozen in midair. Luke wipes the salt off his robes and sends the turbolasers right back at the AT-M6s and TIE-Fighters. Brings down the transports and Kylo’s shuttle and the Star Destroyers in orbit. Kylo descends from his crushed shuttle, preparing to kill his uncle. We have a real lightsaber battle between Luke and Kylo. Luke has his green lightsaber. Their blades clash. Their dialogue remains the same, but Luke is there. Luke is toying with Kylo, similar to how Vader toyed with him on Bespin.  When Kylo makes his dramatic slut ™ lunge at Luke, but Luke dodges and cuts Kylo’s hand off. And finally Luke gives his “see you around kid” but Luke does not die, he leaves to board his X-Wing 

It ends with Rey, Luke and Leia together, brother and sister holding onto Rey’s hand. A father and his daughter and her aunt. “We have everything we need

What they chose to do with Luke instead

Luke is not marketed at all in The Force Awakens and is on a mountain and is only there as a cameo with no lines whatsoever

The Force Awakens established that Luke left a map to be found. It is never brought up. Han said he left to find the Temple to the First Jedi. It is never brought up. Funny how what was established is never brought up in the movie whatsoever

Luke, Han and Leia do not reunite at all. 

Luke gives up. Luke Skywalker is a beacon of hope and optimism and love against all odds, and the fact that that was twisted into being depicted as some foolish youth naivety, and that the only way to make him “human” was to retract all that and make him a bitter, jaded man is so fucking disgusting. Even more disgusting is in TLJ novelization had him dreaming of never leaving Tatooine and having him live under the Empire's dominance. He does not even care that his sister’s life and the Resistance she is leading is in danger. Jedi do not give up. You might say that Yoda and Obi-Wan also gave up. But for those two, the Sith took over the galaxy, they had to go into hiding to protect and guide Luke and Leia. Obi-Wan wanted to save Leia and guide Luke. Yoda always wanted to train Leia as a Jedi and bring Anakin back to the light. He was reluctant to train Luke but he still did his duty as a Jedi Master. They did not just give up and wanted to die and they did not betray their characters at all. Luke spends most of Last Jedi on a windswept island, brooding in solemn silence and frozen by indecision. He doesn’t connect with Rey on any meaningful level, doesn’t impart wisdom or knowledge, and never reasserts himself as the powerful Jedi he once was. A brief physical duel against Rey ends with her as the undisputed victor, completely killing his deserved mythos and her potential character arc in one fell swoop. It’s clear in that moment that he has nothing to teach her, and nothing to contribute to the overall narrative. The boundless potential that seemed poised to explode at the end of The Force Awakens fizzles here but never ignites.  And without any training at all, Rey defeats Luke Skywalker and Luke acts all cowardly and begs her to leave. He does buy The Resistance time and saves his sister, but it was ultimately pointless. He wasn’t even there and he dies pointlessly. What we got was not Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker is hope and optimism. Luke Skywalker is showing that no matter what, compassion, faith and love will always prevail. Luke is the hero that inspired an entire generations to aspire to be better, aspire to be heroes. Luke is what we wanted to see and what we got was not Luke Skywalker. Luke is someone who thought Doctor Aphra was a good person, she proves him wrong but he still had that hope for her. Luke believed that Darth Vader of all people still had good in him and was willing to die and he was able to reach his father. In Battlefront II’s Story, Luke saves Del Meeko because he asked and he offered Del a better life, a choice. Inferno Squad has committed atrocities in the name of the Empire, yet Luke still gave Del Meeko a chance. Canon Luke Skywalker is a kind hearted hero who will never run from a fight or knowingly leave a loved one in danger and will even save his enemy. This is Luke Skywalker. Luke is compassionate, adores his family, would never leave them. The Luke Skywalker I knew would never even think about killing his nephew in his sleep when there is always another way. Luke believes in the light and was willing to die to save his father. Darth Vader committed atrocities for decades, Luke still believed there was good in him. He would never give up on his family nor would he even consider killing his own nephew in his sleep just because he sensed darkness there. He would never abandon his sister at death’s door when she needed him most. The Hero’s Journey that he was following was ignored completely and he just gave up and wanted to die. And he dies instead of reuniting with Leia properly. Mark Hamill wanted Luke to live until Episode IX where he would pass on what he learned to Rey. No big battle with Snoke, no passing on, instead Luke dies and all we’re getting is force ghost Luke. Luke Skywalker was a hero to an entire generation.  Luke was the true heart of Star Wars. His was the journey we followed from idealistic farm boy dreaming of adventure, to reluctant warrior, and finally to savior of the entire galaxy. The original trilogy built him up, and The Last Jedi finally broke him down. I for one mourn my hero’s passing.   

Luke Skywalker tries to murder his nephew in his sleep and  is blamed for Ben Solo’s fall and Kylo Ren. Luke would not even think of trying to kill his nephew in his sleep. He would try to talk to him and try to pull him back to the light. His sister brought Ben there for protection and guidance. Even if that did fail, you did not need to make Luke attempt to murder him. You did not need to make Luke, Leia and Han at fault for Kylo Ren. Kylo is a grown ass man, he is responsible for his own actions. Kylo was going to murder the Jedi and younglings regardless, he already fell to the dark side. No one is responsible for Kylo’s actions but Kylo Ren.

Rey and Luke have no meaningful relationship. There is no teacher and student relationship. Luke teaches her nothing. Rey is already all powerful for.....reasons. He doesn’t even impart any sort of wisdom, guidance or a semblance that they even had a relationship or that he taught her anything. All he was towards Rey was a bitter old man trying to get the girl to leave her lawn. And all of a sudden “we passed on all we know” SINCE FUCKING WHEN??? Rey learned nothing all movie and we are to expect she learns everything off screen. We were deprived of a positive Rey and Luke mentor and student relationship and we were given complete garbage. What we should've gotten was Luke teaching Rey to feel the force, to build her own lightsaber and that attachments can lead you to the dark side if you let them, but they won't lead you to darkness if you control your emotions. A battle between Rey and Luke against Kylo and the Knights Of Ren. Rey abducted and Luke has to lift his X-Wing and board the Supremacy to save Rey. Luke fighting Snoke and Rey against Kylo. Rey loses her fight and loses a hand. Luke stops Snoke and takes Rey to escape. Luke blasts away the battering laser. Fights Kylo on Crait with his green lightsaber. Escapes and reunites with Leia and Rey. Instead we are given nothing.

Luke doesn’t grieve for Han. Han Solo is Luke’s best friend. They have been together for decades. We are not allowed to see Luke react to Han’s death or Luke to grieve that his best friend is dead. Han was a big influence and friend it was dismissed as if he barely knew him. To quote Mark Hamill on the matter “They had time for me to milk that big alien but to show any human emotion? Nah"

Luke’s last moment with Leia is ultimately pointless. He was there as a projection. His last moment with Leia was made meaningless. He wasn't even there. It was a great moment with Mark and Carrie, but it was ultimately a giant fuck you to everyone who loved Luke and Leia and wanted to see them reunite. 

Luke’s confrontation with Kylo is ultimately meaningless. We are not allowed to see Luke Skywalker as a powerful Jedi Master. He does not wield his Green Lightsaber, he does not bring down all the AT-ATs, the transports, shuttles or bring down the star destroyers in orbit. He’s not even there thus making the confrontation with Kylo ultimately pointless. He toys with Kylo, but we don’t see a lightsaber fight between them.

Luke is only coming back as a force ghost and from the sound of it, it will only be a cameo. 

Mark Hamill was ultimately disgusted with the direction they took with Luke. He is heartbroken that he never got to reunite with his friends and that Carrie is no longer with us. He now wishes that he’s done with Star Wars. He went from being excited to returning to the role that made his career and the character that he loves so much to being broken and apathetic. Crying on set and just being absolutely miserable throughout the whole affair. Mark did not return to play Luke Skywalker, he returned to play Jake Soywalker. It’s like Mark said “should’ve left well enough alone” Should’ve left the original trilogy alone and made your own story, but no, you had to break down Han, Luke and Leia to pointlessly build up these new characters. Mark Hamill and Luke Skywalker deserved better

Who:  Kara & Kenny   Where: Midvale  When: Halloween ‘09

Kara clutched the flimsy, orange colored bowl t i g h t l y beneath the crook of her elbow. Vibrantly colored candies rustled against one another as the plastic began to warp. She didn’t mind her status as some social pariah in Midvale revered high school hierarchy. It didn’t matter what they thought about her; it only mattered what she thought of her. Aunt Astra made damn sure to impress that confidence in the porcelain laid skin of the youngest Zor-El. What bothered her was that Alex allowed them to affect how she viewed her “adopted” sister.  Things were hard enough being from two completely different worlds why not add teenage angst to make things interesting. 

Eliza, in her infinite wisdom, proposed the girl’s separate for the evening. Alex got her break from the weird and Kara got to hand out candy to cutest wookies and princess in all of the land. Kara happily took the alternative but found herself daydreaming about where she would be if things were different. Earth’s arbitrary holidays weren’t even a thought back home but reminded her of the festivals that celebrated yet another turn around the sun. She missed Krypton even more when the diamond crusted sky stood clearer in her view.The twinkling glow of the stars taunted her from where she stood on the pale oak porch. A blur of lights that painted Astra’s reminiscence of her time searching the cosmos for answers. A journey she hoped to share with her favorite niece. 

A distant memory now.

“Not a fan of gooey chocolate?” The gentle voice that cut through the static sounds of distant laughter and her looping memories. Kara loosened her grip on the bowl, clearing her throat to whisk away the emotion that sat at the back of it. “Um--no, not at all, I just was practicing my wrestling moves...” the lame excuse fell off her lips but were replaced with a lopsided grin once she realized who stood at the foot of the stairs. Decked out in a crisp, white robe bound by camel colored ties and a saturated neon glow of a lightsaber. 

“Kenny,” she muttered with a bashful grin. “Or should I say Luke Skywalker?” Kara stepped down the stairs. “What are you doing here! I mean, I’m happy that you are, but I thought you’d be out getting down at Jay’s party.” Kenny pushed up on the bridge of his glasses as he stared up at her, awestruck. Swallowing back his bewilderment, he straightened up as she approached. “The coolest person I know is handing out candy and I thought she’d like some help.” Kara’s cheeks burn a bright crimson but thankfully the dim lit porch preserved her transparency. “Pft, we’re too cool for them, and I can’t say I wouldn’t love the help.” 

Kenny stepped up to meet her on the final step and leaned his lightsaber against the banister. He gingerly plucked the bowl from hands before bowing at the waist. “Would you, Kara Danvers, be the Leia to my Luke?” His gaze tipped up to power home his proposal. It wouldn’t hurt, right? Kara nodded momentarily before tugging at her low rise pigtails to ball them up like the iconic dual Leia buns. Kenny hummed in approval, fumbling in the confines of his robe for the second lightsaber. 

“I hoped you’d say yes and thought to come prepared.”  

Kara giggled at the innocence and candor in his actions. No pique in his heartbeat or motive. He just wanted to spend his evening with her to give out candy; no matter how lame it was. All the painful yearning stilled for moment as she sunk into their comfortable normal once more.

Reylo fam, I have a mighty worry after seeing the teaser trailer. May I share my concerns with you? :S

SPOILERS FOR THE TRAILER, NATCH. DON’T CLICK IF YOU’RE AVOIDING ALL EPISODE IX TALK.

First concern... the title. I’ve seen a few people mention that it might be referencing Ben/Kylo and his journey back to the Light and “rising” as a Skywalker again. I like that idea but... he’s not our protagonist, is he? Rey is. The other titles have referenced her, haven’t they? The Force awakening in Rey. Rey has become the last Jedi now that Luke is gone. So... that feels like they’re calling her a Skywalker.

Now, maybe “Skywalker” will become a title instead of Jedi. Maybe to show that the former Jedi and Sith are now defunct, trained Force users will be called Skywalkers instead, as an homage to the legendary Luke Skywalker. I actually would be quite down with that.

Grammatically, though, that wouldn’t be right. You wouldn’t say “The Rise of Jedi,” you’d say “The Rise of The Jedi.” But maybe they’re pulling the “the” to help disguise Skywalker as a title instead of a name?

Second concern... Palpatine. Okay, so I admit hearing that evil chuckle made my Inner Old School Star Wars fangirl go *SQUEE* but then I had a Bad Thought. Who is the original Skywalker of the movies, after all? Anakin, of course. Who was theorized to have somehow used the Force to create Anakin, essentially “fathering” him albeit unconventionally? *points at Palpatine*

What if the Rey Palpatine theory turns out to be the true one and Rey, like Anakin, had no traditional father but was created in a manner similar to Anakin. That would explain her innate ability to grasp how to use the Force (quickly able to copy how Kylo invaded her mind, able to pull his own lightsaber wielding abilities from his mind later on to be able to not only hold her own against his superior training but to actually pretty soundly hand him his own rear, Jedi mind trick her guard into letting her go, etc.). She could’ve been designed by Palpatine to be Anakin 2.0.

But. That would kinda make her a Skywalker, wouldn’t it? Not Luke’s daughter, as was often theorized, but Anakin’s “sister.” And, thusly, Ben’s great aunt.

Suddenly, my Reylo has become related. IF you consider Palpatine to be blood related to them both IF those theories are true. I dunno, actually. Is “created by the Force” the same as being a biological father? Beats me. If the Rey Palpatine theory turns out to be The One, then I certainly hope not. :S

Lastly, I suddenly was reminded of the awesome hand-touching scene in TLJ, with Luke busting in all “STAAAAAAAPPPP!!!”

At around 1:35 if you don’t care to watch the whole amazing scene again. ;)

Now, at the time, I assumed Luke was alarmed because he sensed Kylo’s presence, sensed the bond between them and was worried that he would influence Rey to the Dark Side. But what if it was something else? What if Luke knew or suspected that they were related?

(Dude, Rey would be Luke and Leia’s aunt under this theory. O_O )

Anyway, those are my concerns. We won’t know for sure, of course, until the movie comes out. But I have to say, I’m suddenly really sweating out the answer. I was kinda getting hopefully that we might get some sort of Reylo-positive ending but now... Well, let’s just say I’ve been burned by a LOT of fandoms over the years. For some reason, I never seem to pick the OTP that TPTB want to make endgame. :S

Luke didn’t really have a response to that—although he had to relate to the depressing part; Tatooine had had its fair share of famines too—so he just shrugged. Searching for something to say, he offered lamely, “I’m Luke.”

He wasn’t expecting the flash of recognition that flitted over her face, nor the way her eyebrows were raised ever so slightly as she offered him her hand. “Leia.”

What I think Disney & Lucasfilm should do with Star Wars Episode IX...

This was actually a reply to @themandalorianwolf’s post, but because it was so long, I decided to make it its own post.

Here we go...

I don’t honestly think Rian Johnson’s trilogy was a Disney decision.

Here’s how I think things went down:

Things happen months, even a year before things are announced.

Kathleen Kennedy is clearly attached to Rian Johnson and greenlit his trilogy based off the hype some time ago.

Kathleen Kennedy wasn’t checking in on her projects. Remember the Solo problem? Kathleen didn’t even realize how much trouble the production was in till late. My guess is that TLJ controversy of Rian throwing out JJ’s outline went unnoticed until it was way too late or it wasn’t addressed. It was actually only Rian who did that. The original ep 9 director followed JJ’s outline.

Meanwhile Disney realized after the creative conflict between Rian and Colin, the test screenings showing mixed reviews, Rian’s inflated ego and the cast’s low moral, Disney made the choice to hire JJ back in hopes of salvaging their future.

Disney isn’t stupid. They’re one of the riches companies on the planet. They’re willing to play the long game. Disney let Kathleen Kennedy hang herself and now she’s slowly being fazed out. Rian Johnson is going to lose his trilogy. At best his trilogy will be one movie that is pushed back for some time and die there.

Disney is banking on the success of Episode 9 and here’s my guess on what JJ will do Generally:

Luke Skywalker will return. The PR of killing him was a nightmare and it will probably be retconed with a force teleport. JJ has plans for Luke and I doubt there done.

Finnrey will become canon. The only thing that has stayed a constant was the relationship between Finn and Rey.

John Boyega’s increased popularity, the racial backlash, John’s moral being higher, and JJ’s preceded writing style, Finn will be the lead again and more than likely a Jedi since it was foreshadowed.

Ep 9 will be broken into a 2 part movie to finish the saga of the Skywalkers. One movie will work like the Clone Wars while the other part will be the official closer.

Rey Skywalker will more than likely be a thing. It’s the eaist thing to do and let’s Disney bring Daisy Ridley back as the wise Jedi Master in future movies.

Honestly due to Kylo Ren’s popularity, and the First Order in general, I’m not sure if they’ll kill them off indefinitely. More than likely make some of them disappear into the unknown regions.

Leia…I’m not sure. There’s no good way to handle that. Maybe she’ll be made the Chancellor between the time skip to explain her absence.

The Resistance will just merge back into the New Republic and get their allies from independent factions.

The Skywalker saga will end and probably this will be the ending of trilogy based Star Wars films and just movies like the Avengers.

This is gonna be a long post…

I would absolutely 100% love it if they split Episode IX into two parts. Part I in 2019 and Part II in either 2020 or 2021. Why? Because this really might be the only way the sequel trilogy can be properly concluded. There’s WAY too many loose ends and unanswered questions to wrap into one film. They need to take their time with the storyline of Episode IX. I say split into two films, put out Part Iin 2019, surprise us with a Part II announcement and then we’ll wait a year or two to see the official conclusion to the sequel trilogy and possibly the Skywalker Saga as well. And then we’d have 10 movies in the Skywalker Saga instead of 9.

That would be amazing if they brought back Luke, not as a Force Ghost, but alive and well in the flesh. If Jedis are able to teleport themselves as a hologram to other planets, they probably should be able to teleport themselves physically. He just left his robe behind.

FinnRey definitely must be canon!

I repeat - MUST BE CANON!!!

John definitely deserves the spotlight back and I hope JJ can make that happen. Making him Force-sensitive with the potential to become a Jedi would be amazing and I hope we see that as well.

And Finn’s family: If Billy Dee Williams is returning in Episode IX, I honestly think it would be cool if Lando was revealed to be Finn’s father. Then we could get a very emotional, heartwarming father/son reunion and a great setup for Finn’s story in the film.

We could find out that Finn was kidnapped by the First Order when he was a baby and his mother (who was also Force-sensitive) was killed trying to protect him while Lando was too injured to save them and the loss of his son & wife left him traumatized and depressed for years. Hell, maybe Captain Phasma was the one who killed Finn’s mother!

Unless Phasma somehow returns in Episode IX alive and well and more badass than ever, I think Finn would be satisfied to know he avenged his mother’s death without even realizing it. But if Phasma returns though, Finn will be ready for her. Imagine it: A real, totally-badass final battle between Finn and Phasma. Maybe even with an unmasked Phasma. I think that would be extremely awesome.

Rey Skywalker must also be canon.

I repeat - MUST BE CANON!!!

Luke returning physically would also be good for this reveal. It’d give him a chance to explain to Rey, in the flesh instead of a Force Ghost, about his behavior in The Last Jedi, why he never told her the truth, who her mother was, etc. This would also be a great opportunity for Hayden Christensen to return as the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker so that he’s there to defend Luke and help explain the truth to Rey.

This would set up a great new storyline for Luke & Rey in Episode IX and maybe, with all that’s happened, he’ll agree to actually train her. And maybe he’ll train Finn as well.

This HAS to happen!

Something else I’d love to see canon: Kaydel Connix to be revealed as Han & Leia’s daughter and Kylo Ren’s sister

I honestly believe this is the best way possible to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher and keep her legacy going both on-screen and off-screen.

And it also allows Leia’s half of the Skywalker bloodline (as well as Han Solo’s bloodline) to continue through Kaydel while Luke’s half continues through Rey. Luke’s daughter and Leia’s daughter keeping their family’s legacy alive, even if Episode IX marks the end of the Skywalker Saga and we never see that family on the big screen ever again.

I would love it if we found out Kaydel’s real name is Breha Solo and Rey’s is Padme Skywalker. Then Leia would have named her daughter after her adoptive mother and Luke would have named his daughter after his & Leia’s mother. Plus, to me, Ben and Breha Solo sounds fitting together, much like Jaina and Jacen Solo from the Expanded Universe.

I would also really love to see Kaydel take over for her mother as General of the Resistance… or the Reborn Rebellion, whatever they wanna call themselves now.

Maybe she could also find a way to combine her alias with her birthname as a way to honor her parents. Maybe she could call herself Kaydel Solo or Kaydel Connix Solo, make Breha her middle name and then her new full name would be Kaydel Breha Connix Solo.

Also…

PONNIX (Poe x Connix)

Just like Finn & Rey, I love these two characters together and I was happy to see them have some screen-time together in The Last Jedi. And if Kaydel is Han & Leia’s daughter, it makes this romance even more interesting.

Darth Vader tortured Han Solo (in The Empire Strikes Back) and then later he became his son-in-law. So now, Kylo Ren tortured Poe Dameron (in The Force Awakens) and later on, he becomes his brother-in-law. Crazy, isn’t it?

Also, given the relationship between Leia and Poe, it would be very interesting for him to become a part of her family. Her son-in-law.

And eventually, Finn, Rey, Kaydel and Poe will all be a family. Rey and Kaydel could even form a strong sisterly relationship (something I’d love to see happen) and their future children could call them “Aunt Rey”, “Aunt Kaydel”, “Uncle Finn” and “Uncle Poe” (that’d also be easier than calling them cousins like in real life).

Also, since it’s rumored that we’ll see Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode IX (possibly followed by an Obi-Wan anthology film), maybe we could see… A NEW Kenobi in Episode IX?

This is definitely just excited fan talking, but I think it would be really cool to have a new Kenobi in Episode IX to satisfy those who want Obi-Wan to have a family, who wanna learn more about what he was doing on Tatooine for almost twenty years (other than watching over Luke) and just what his life was like from the very beginning.

Maybe Rey could be both a Skywalker and a Kenobi with her mother & Luke’s wife being Obi-Wan’s daughter. That would definitely explain why Rey is so powerful and make her the granddaughter of two of the greatest and most powerful Jedi Knights ever.

Or maybe Finn could be a Kenobi (for those who have not seen it, I actually have a post about that theory). Yes, believe it or not, not all biracial people have mixed skin colors. Some are darker than others, some are lighter than others. So there is a chance Finn could be Obi-Wan’s grandson and he could still even be Lando’s son. Just reveal that Lando married Obi-Wan’s daughter and they had Finn together.

Plus, we would get to see Obi-Wan’s grandson and Anakin’s granddaughter training together, falling in love with each other, teaming up against Kylo Ren & the First Order together and later marrying each other and having children together - the great-grandchildren of Obi-Wan Kenobi & Anakin Skywalker. And if Finn’s a Calrissian as well, those kids are Luke’s grandchildren through Rey and Lando’s grandchildren through Finn. Crazy, isn’t it?

I’m honestly not counting on a new Kenobi to appear. It really is just excited fan thinking. But I think it would be really cool to have Finn be a Kenobi & Rey a Skywalker or maybe have Rey be both a Skywalker & a Kenobi. That plus Obi-Wan’s potential appearance in Episode IX would be perfect ways to launch and market a Kenobi anthology film possibly coming in the future.

Wow. That was a lot!
