I tried to use the master list link to read some missing scenes you mentioned in the fic but it doesn't work sadly
Awwww, you're so sweet!! Thank you!! I'm so glad you're enjoying the fic so far!!! 💕💕💕💕
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the links. Unfortunately, when I went back and checked, I didn't have any issues on my end, so I don't know why the links to my masterlist wouldn't be working. Have you tried directly accessing the link from Tumblr? My pinned post will provide a link to it as well as the fanart I've received for TABF.
I hope you continue to enjoy the story!! ^-^

So I’ve been reading a BNHA fic called Towards a Bright Future done by the amazing @thelazyhermits, and I absolutely LOVE IT! It explores a really cool concept that has a meaningful effect on the canon story, and there are so many beautiful moments between Fortune and the main cast and I get so many feels!!! 💜💜💜 The fluff throughout the story has really helped me unwind after a busy day of music majoring 😊💜 I 10000000000/10 would recommend! Thanks so much Haze for an awesome story 😊💜
Anyways, this scene here is from chapter 29 where Amajiki texts Fortune a picture of Fat Gum with a cat. I read that and knew I had to draw that picture since it would be so cute! I decided to post it in context with the comic. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to draw more TABF fanart soon 😆 Here’s the full res of the picture Amajiki sent Fortune:

School Briefs Vol 2 summary - TABF comparison
This is for @thelazyhermits and her My Hero Academia fanfic series, Toward a Bright Future!
Here's Volume 2! Keep your ears open for the next one!
Volume 02 - Training Camp: The Inside Story
A Learning Experience - Class 1A is studying for the finals. Ashido, Ojiro, Jirou, Kaminari and Sero are all at Yaoyorozu's massive house to revise, but they get lost in its halls and experiencing her mother's... questionable cooking. Elsewhere, Kirishima and Bakugou are trying to study in the library, but they some of Bakugou's old friends and Bakugou blows his top as usual when the topic of Midoriya comes up.
Y/N would probably not show up in these scenes, probably remaining at the dorm helping Uraraka and Todoroki to study. But I bet after the visit, Ashido and the rest would be begging Y/N for some sweets to get rid of that taste, and were really appreciative of the eclairs. Also, I have a feeling that all Kaminari would have to do is remember Y/N's Quirk, her water gun, and above all else her disappointed expression, and the topic of cheating would never even cross his mind.
Bumpy Ride - The bus ride to the summer camp is rather bumpy, and the group try to entertain themselves. They try playing word games, I Spy, quizzes, and telling stories, although the latter is derailed when Mineta takes the floor with a mystery story. Meanwhile, Midoriya and his friends try to help when Aoyama gets carsick.
There's plenty for Y/N to do on this trip, if she's not spending the time playing Neko Atsume. She could join in on the games, chitchat with them, help Aoyama by either offering some medicine (or just handing him a mirror or some stickers, hoping it'll cheer him up). She might keep one ear on Mineta to make sure he doesn't do anything foolish, but she definitely will not enjoy Asui's ghost story; I can see her trembling in her seat as she half-listens to the story, and when someone gets her attention she jumps to the roof with a scream.
Peeping Fool - Undeterred by Kouta's intervention and Aizawa's scolding, Mineta goes peeping on the 1B girls the following night. However, the 1A girls warned them ahead of time and they stop him and knock him unconscious. Later, he recovers and tries peeking on the Wild Wild Pussycats instead, but gets a rude awakening when he peeks on Tiger, who is a trans man.
Now here's where things go off the rails. This would happen after Y/N's talk with Mineta, so this time her message really sticks and he wouldn't be doing any of this. What he does instead is up in the air. The chapter could be introspective and he could talk with Kaminari or Midoriya about his changed perspective, or it could be humorous and he could declare his changed intentions to all the boys, which obviously no-one would believe (except maybe Todoroki, since he knows how influential Y/N is), or just watch the events in Over the Top.
A+B Slumber Party - Some of the 1B girls (Kendou, Yanagi, Shiozaki and Kodai) pop into the 1A girls rooms after their shower as thanks for their warning about Mineta. Gossip goes from topic to topic, like which boys they like, which boys with Quirks they'd like to have - as well as copious griping about Mineta.
I can envision Y/N popping in to see how everything's going, and getting invited since other than just nights with Uraraka, she's never had a proper sleepover before. I can see Ashido trying to wheedle gossip out of Y/N, trying to get her to confess to liking anyone from Aizawa to Yamada, but Y/N is just enjoying the atmosphere and getting to know the 1B girls better. And for some reason, they keep getting the giggles whenever Monoma is brought up.
Over the Top - Earlier in the day, the classes had to choose which class would get beef and which would get pork, but Monoma turned it into an arm-wrestling competition between the boys with the winner getting pork. The 1A and 1B boys go at it, but Monoma is revealed to be cheating, and everything devolves into a pillow fight to settle things. It gets so out of hand that Aizawa and Vlad King barge in, scold everyone, and declare that no-one is getting any meat.
Even after Y/N's talk with him, I can see Monoma being extra motivated to make this deal, since Todoroki and Uraraka got to sit with Y/N but he didn't. Y/N would be in the middle of the slumber party at this point, but I think she would get a vision of Monoma escalating the situation and the resulting pillow fight and scolding, and would intercept him before he can make the situation worse. After escorting him back to Vlad's class, she makes a check in to the boys to make sure things aren't coming to blows, and lets them know of the consequences she saw in her vision to make sure they don't.
After the Hubbub - Iida wakes up because he needs to use the bathroom, but he can't find his glasses. He has to escape Shouji's bearhug, Kaminari's shock, and Mineta's sleepwalking before he can retrieve them. On the way back, he hears the teachers and the Pussycats talking about the students' potential, during their game of mahjong.
I think you covered this one in this post, so I don't see the need to change anything there. Y/N gets another vision on the way to bed after everything else that night, and comes in to help Iida out of his predicament. She also takes the time to comfort and mother all the other boys and girls before heading to bed, thankful that everything is all right... for now.

The Best Kind of Present
So, as y’all have seen on the most recent post I reblogged, @euan112358 has updated and edited, A Bright Celebration, which I highly recommend y’all check out if you haven’t already.
One of the additions that was made was the brief mention in chapter 5 of Midoriya deciding to give Fortune a second present which I plan on going into more detail here. For the record, this drabble takes place between chapters 4 & 5 of A Bright Celebration.
I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
Karaoke is so much fun.
You always figured as much after seeing people singing karaoke on TV,  considering they always looked like they were having such an enjoyable time, but now, you know from firsthand experience that this is something that TV actually portrayed accurately.
The you from a year ago definitely would’ve felt differently because of the awful stage fright you used to have. However, that’s thankfully not something that’s afflicting you now thanks to the performance you, Eri, and Class 1-A put on for UA’s most recent class of graduates during their graduation ceremony.
Ever since then, you’ve felt much more comfortable about singing around others. Sure, you never really go out of your way to sing around others since old habits die hard, but you don’t mind singing whenever Eri or your students ask you to.
That’s why you don’t have any problems with singing on the night of your birthday, because you want to make the most of this momentous occasion and have as much fun as possible with your UA family.
Besides, how could you ever say no to your adorable students when they’re looking at you so expectantly?
As a result, once the karaoke marathon is set into motion, you find yourself behind the microphone many times. While you sing by yourself a few times, you mostly end up singing with others since many people wanted the chance to sing with the birthday girl, and you were all too happy to oblige.
Because you’re having so much fun, it’s no surprise that you’re all smiles on the night of your grand birthday celebration. This is, without a doubt, one of the most fun nights you’ve ever experienced, and you know it will definitely be one of the most unforgettable ones.
Everyone really went all out to make your first birthday memorable, and they definitely succeeded.
“Hero too. I am a hero too~”
Even though you’re currently taking a break from the karaoke marathon that’s going on in the living room, you can’t stop yourself from singing quietly under your breath as you make a trip to the kitchen to grab yourself a bottle of water.
Yaoyorozu’s birthday present has really put you in the singing mood, and you have a feeling that’s not going to be changing anytime soon, especially considering how much fun you’re having with everyone.
Before these fun times can continue, however, you must first quench your thirst since all the singing you’ve been doing has left you feeling quite parched. Once that’s done, you can get right back into the festivities.
As you smile at that thought, you open the fridge and pull out a bottle of water. Just as you’re moving to close the fridge door, a familiar voice calls out to you.
“Y/N-sensei?”
You jolt in surprise at the sound since you weren’t expecting to be addressed so suddenly. You had thought you were the only one in the kitchen, but that’s obviously not the case.
When you close the fridge door, you see Midoriya standing there. Taking note of your surprise, he smiles sheepishly. “Sorry if I startled you.”
As you wave off his apology with a smile, you open the water bottle you grabbed and take a swig of your drink. Once you’ve quenched your thirst, you ask, “What brings you here, Midoriya? Did you need something out of the kitchen, or were you looking for me?”
“I was hoping I could speak privately with you for a moment.” Midoriya answers, “So, when I saw you come into the kitchen, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do that.”
The corners of your lips curve upwards. “You know, I’m always happy to talk to you, Midoriya, so I’m all ears. What’s on your mind?”
Flushing, Midoriya begins twiddling his fingers. “Umm...it’s about the present you got from All Might...”
Your smile turns teasing. “Were you hoping that you could come along with us? I know you were quite jealous when you heard that my present was a weekend trip alone with him.”
His blush darkens as he begins wildly waving his hands. “N-no! You’ve got it all wrong, I swear!”
With a giggle, you reach over to ruffle his hair. “I know. I was just teasing you, Midoriya. Your reactions are always so cute, so I can never help myself.”
While Midoriya sighs in relief, you tilt your head. “So, what did you want to talk about that involves All Might’s present?”
He awkwardly rubs the back of his neck. “I was just thinking about the reason you were so excited about his present.”
As you blink in surprise, Midoriya continues, “From an outsider’s point-of-view, everyone would assume you were so excited because of your love of cats and because All Might, the former number one hero himself, is the one who will be taking you there, but...”
A soft smile forms on his lips. “When I saw the face you were making after receiving his present, all I could think was that you were so happy because you would be able to spend quality time with All Might. I could tell because I knew I would be making a similar face if I was in your shoes.”
Once you get over your surprise, you return his smile. “As expected of you. You’re exactly right, Midoriya.”
“It’s true I was excited about getting to visit an island full of cats, but I honestly would’ve been excited no matter where All Might decided to take me. because I knew anywhere would be fun as long as he was there with me.” You add.
Your expression softens. “Ever since I was a child, I’ve always dreamt of getting to spend that kind of quality time with him because he was the first hero I ever looked up to, who played a pivotal role in getting me through those years I spent in the underworld, so he’ll always be someone I greatly admire and treasure.”
His smile grows. “I’m sure All Might realized that too. That’s why he worked so hard to set things up, so the two of you can go on that trip together, because he treasures you just as much as you treasure him.”
Warmth envelops your chest at his words. “Yeah, I’m sure you’re right.”
Soon after that, his smile fades, and he begins fidgeting for some reason. Before you can ask him what’s wrong, Midoriya mumbles, “After seeing how happy you were about getting to spend quality time with All Might, I got to thinking and....”
“And?” You parrot as you tilt your head curiously.
His earlier blush returns at full force. “I was thinking that, in addition to the hero costume I had made with Hatsume-san’s help, I could give you another present, one like All Might’s.”
Your eyes widen. “You mean...?”
Midoriya shyly nods, “Since you’re always telling me how much you enjoy spending time with me, because you love spending time with your heroes, I thought maybe the two of us could also do something together to celebrate your birthday.”
After saying that, he quickly adds, “Of course, I realize that there’s no way I could ever compete with All Might no matter how hard I try. I couldn’t take you to something as exciting as one of the cat islands or to any expensive places that he could easily afford, and-”
Before he can finish that sentence, you pull the surprised boy into a tight hug. “Don’t be silly. Do you really think I care about stuff like that? Obviously, I’ll be happy no matter where I go as long as I’m with you.”
His posture relaxes as he returns the hug. “That’s how I feel too. I know no matter what we do that I’ll have fun because I always enjoy myself when I’m with you.”
A warm feeling takes root in your chest at his words. “Just hearing that is a great birthday present in itself since nothing makes me happier than to hear that my hero enjoys being with me as much as I enjoy being with him.”
“Sensei....”
Since it sounds like your student is on the verge of tears, you refrain from saying anything else that could make him cry. Instead, you pull away from him and meet his teary gaze, smiling all the while. “So, what would you like to do together? Did you have something in mind?”
Midoriya blushes as he shakes his head. “Not really. I was so nervous about just asking you to hang out that I didn’t think to consider what we could actually do together...”
“B-But I will definitely think of something fun we can do! I’ll begin researching tonight to find the best places in town to visit, so I can get back with you as soon as possible!”  He quickly adds.
Chuckling, you ruffle his hair. “There’s no rush, Midoriya. Besides, considering how late we’ll all likely stay up tonight, I think you should save your research for another day, considering tomorrow is the first day of the new school year.”
He sheepishly scratches his cheek. “Oh yeah, that’s true...”
“So, take all the time you need, Midoriya.” You smile, “I don’t mind waiting since I know whatever you have in store for me will be worth the wait.”
His expression brightens. “I’ll make sure to meet your expectations!”
Your smile grows. “I know you will, because meeting and surpassing my expectations is something you’ve been doing for quite some time now.”
And you have no doubt that that won’t be changing anytime soon.

Haunting Memories
Here’s that Fortune angst I promised. I hope y’all enjoy it! XD
Once again, you’re back in the fighting ring. This time you’re up against a large man with a mutant Quirk that gives him the appearance and abilities of a rhinoceros.
That means he’s not only strong but incredibly thick-skinned. To say you’re nervous about this match would be a complete understatement.
While you are definitely faster than him and will be able to predict his movements thanks to your Quirk, that can only get you so far. Just like with some of your past opponents, the only chance you have of winning is by wearing him out to the point that he can no longer move. Although, something tells you that this feat will be much harder with this particular opponent.
Most likely, it’s because you could tell he was being serious when he was taunting you yesterday about defeating you. He claimed that your usual cheap tricks wouldn’t work on him and that no matter what you throw his way he will be the victor.
Of course, that wasn’t the first time you heard words like that from an opponent. However, unlike previous opponents, this man has the power to back up his words. His past matches were proof of that.
In addition to claiming that he’d be the victor, your opponent said he’d beat you down until you couldn’t move anymore. According to him, the pain you’ll experience at his hands is going to be worse than anything you’ve ever experienced.
So, you think your nervousness is perfectly understandable. You do not want to experience whatever kind of pain the rhino Quirk user has in store for you.
That’s why you’ll have to push yourself to your limits to ensure that doesn’t happen. No matter what it takes, you will not allow your opponent to prevail.
It’s at that moment the sound of a bell ringing reaches your ears. However, rather than signal the start of the match, the bell becomes a harbinger for a much more horrific nightmare.
All you can do is stare with large, horror-filled eyes as your opponent literally explodes, covering the surrounding area with blood and gore. Naturally, due to your close proximity to the explosion, you get covered in blood.
Dimly, you’re aware of the screams coming from the crowd as you slowly look down to examine your trembling, blood-covered hands. You don’t know how long you remain in that position, too shocked to do anything else.
You’re eventually drawn out of your stupor by a hauntingly familiar voice. “Ah~ As expected of my beloved Prophet, you even look beautiful covered in blood. Although, I think that it’s a waste that you’re covered in the blood of a fool so far below you, don’t you agree?”
Immediately, your gaze moves to focus on the speaker who’s standing right outside the fighting ring, and you see bright, acid green eyes staring back at you and a large grin that sends shivers down your spine. Pure terror washes over you as your heart beats rapidly in your chest.
The only thing you want to do now is run, but you can’t. Your body remains frozen in place, so unfortunately for you, there’s only one thing you can do in this situation.
You scream.
Your eyes fly open as you jolt into a sitting position. Immediately, one of your hands flies to cover your mouth to prevent yourself from releasing the scream building up in your throat.
Shivers rack your body as your heart pounds a mile a minute. Tears spring to your eyes and quickly cascade down your cheeks before you can even think to stop them.
Rather than try to fight back against the surge of emotions that’s overwhelming you, you just give in to it and spend the next several minutes crying into your knees after pulling them to your chest. Miraculously, you manage to avoid making a lot of noise since the last thing you want is to wake Eri and have her see you in such a pitiful state.
Even though there’s nothing you want more than to forget about that horrible nightmare, you can’t stop yourself from thinking about it. As much as you’d like to write it off as just a bad dream, you know that it’s a memory from your life as a cage fighter.
Somehow, you ended up in a match where your opponent suddenly died due to exploding. Unfortunately for you, you can’t remember how that explosion occurred. Obviously, you didn’t do it, and it couldn’t have been the fault of the rhino Quirk user.
So, whose fault was it?
Immediately, your thoughts turn to the person with acid green eyes that seemed like they could look right through you. As soon as you do that, your trembling increases, which is definitely not a good sign since this is the kind of reaction you had after you had that vision of Mumei following the USJ attack.
Deciding it would be in your best interest to stop thinking about the memory, you do your best to clear your mind as you slowly move to climb out of your bed. You know there’s no way you’ll be able to go to sleep on your own after such a horrible nightmare, so that means a trip to Aizawa’s apartment is in order.
So, that’s exactly where you head. However, before you can, you have to make a stop at your bathroom since you suddenly have the overwhelming urge to wash your hands.
For some reason, even though you know it was just a memory, your hands still feel like they’re covered in blood, and you desperately want to get rid of that horrible sensation.
As a result, you end up spending several minutes roughly washing your hands in a desperate attempt to get them “clean”. Even when your hands start turning red, you don’t stop washing them until the sticky sensation you feel finally fades.
Once you’re finally satisfied, you leave your room and take a moment to stop by Eri’s room, wanting to make sure she’s still sleeping in her room. Once you’re sure she’s fine, you take the elevator to go downstairs.
Much to your surprise, shortly after you exit the elevator, you notice that the lights in the kitchen are on. Either someone forgot to turn the lights off before heading to bed, or one of your students is up despite it being the middle of the night.
While a part of you wants to see if someone else is awake, you’re also reluctant since you know you must look like a mess considering all the crying you did earlier, even though you did wash your face while you were taking care of your hands.
Just as you’re thinking you should just head straight to Aizawa’s apartment before anyone can see you, a pajama-clad Todoroki appears in the kitchen doorway.
Once you see him, you immediately realize what’s going on. The stoic boy has a penchant for sneaking sweets in the middle of the night, so he’s obviously going after the fruit tarts you made earlier today.
The thought of Todoroki pilfering fruit tarts causes the corners of your lips to quirk upwards. Leave it to your student to put a smile on your face without even trying.
As you’re thinking that, Todoroki moves to approach you. Rather than make a comment defending his actions like he usually does when he gets caught in the act of stealing sweets, the taller boy remains strangely quiet for some reason.
It’s when he comes to a stop before you that you realize why. Now that he’s closer, you can make out the clear concern in his eyes and the small frown resting on his lips. “Are you alright, Sensei?”
Your first impulse is to tell him that you’re fine, but that would be a lie. And you’re sure that he’d know that. While the last thing you want to do is lie to your student, you also don’t want to tell him about your nightmare since that would mean reliving it which is the last thing you want to do.
Of course, your brain has to choose that moment to betray you by bringing scenes from that nightmare to the forefront of your mind. When that happens, tears immediately prick your eyes as your breath hitches.
Todoroki’s eyes widen slightly after seeing your reaction. However, rather than question you about it, the stoic boy moves closer to you before outstretching his arms.
He doesn’t move to hug you since he’s not sure if that’s what you want right now, but he wants you to know that the offer is available to you. It’s obvious from his soft expression and the worried gleam in his eyes that he just wants to help you in any way he can.
As much as you hate the idea of him seeing you in such a pitiful state, his offer is too tempting to resist. When more horrible memories flash in your mind, you quickly move to embrace the younger boy, hugging him as tightly as you can as you bury your face in his shoulder.
Immediately, his arms wrap around you and hold you close. Remaining silent, Todoroki uses one of his hands to gently stroke your back in hopes of providing more comfort to you.
For awhile, the two of you remain in that position. Eventually, after you calm down and feel less like crying, you break the silence. “Thank you, Todoroki. I really needed that.”
His arms give you a gentle squeeze. “I’m glad I could help. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
A small smile forms on your lips as you pull away from him so you can meet his gaze. “No, it’s alright. You don’t have to do anything else. I’m sure after your midnight snack run that you’d like to head to bed and get some more sleep rather than stay up with me.”
Rather than release his hold on you like you expect, Todoroki tightens his grip on you, catching you off guard. Your surprise only grows when you see the small pout he’s now sporting. “So, you’re going to see Aizawa-sensei instead?”
Once your shock fades, the meaning behind his words register, causing your heart to melt. To think he’d actually get jealous of the fact that you always go to Aizawa for comfort when you have nightmares.
The corners of your lips lift higher as you move to softly tussle his two-toned locks. “It’s not because I prefer him over you. I just don’t want to bother you with my problems. It doesn’t seem right for a teacher to burden her students, especially over something as trivial as a nightmare.”
Todoroki frowns, “Anything that upsets you this much isn’t trivial, and you’re not burdening me. You always help me when I have problems, so it’s only right I do the same. That’s what people do when they care about someone, right?”
Warmth blossoms in your chest at his words. “That’s true.”
With a sigh, you press your forehead against his shoulder. “In that case, could you keep me company for a while? I don’t really feel like sleeping right now.”
He softly pats your back. “Of course. Would you like to sit down on the couch, or do you want to do some stress baking?”
An amused huff passes your lips at his question. “You know me so well. I could definitely benefit from some stress baking.”
After the two of you finally pull apart, Todoroki pulls out his phone, catching you by surprise since you weren’t expecting him to have it on hand. Maybe he likes to browse the internet while he snacks. “I’ll invite the others, so they can join us. I’m sure they wouldn’t want to be left out.”
Before you can tell him that that’s not necessary since you don’t want to wake any of the sleeping students, you notice that he’s sending the message to a group chat called “Y/N-sensei Protection Squad”, and you can’t help but snort in response. “Protection Squad, huh? Who all is in that group?”
Once he hits the send button, Todoroki replies, “Everyone in the class is a part of the squad, but this particular group chat is just for the members who are familiar with your past.”
Your eyes grow large. “Wait a minute. Then, that means…”
Shortly after those words leave your mouth, Bakugou, Midoriya, and Kirishima come storming out of the staircase near the elevators. While the latter two are wearing worried expressions, the former is scowling and looks like he’s ready to fight, making you wonder what exactly Todoroki typed in his message since you never got around to reading it due to being distracted by the group chat name.
Midoriya and Kirishima immediately run over to you while Bakugou observes his surroundings as if searching for an enemy he needs to fight. After giving you a quick once over, Midoriya frowns worriedly. “Are you okay, Sensei? Todoroki-kun said you needed our help. Did something happen?”
Kirishima dons a similar expression. “He said it was an emergency so it must be really bad. Whatever it is, we’ll do everything we can to help! You can count on us, Sensei!”
As expected of the sunshine children, the two boys do not disappoint. Unable to help yourself, you pull them both into a hug, making Midoriya flush while the redhead quickly moves to reciprocate the embrace. “I’m alright. I just had a nightmare and didn’t want to go back to sleep. Todoroki thought having more company would help me. I’m sorry for worrying you.”
While they both sigh in relief after hearing that you’re okay, Bakugou glares at Todoroki. “You bastard....Don’t go saying it’s a fucking emergency when it isn’t! You wanna die?!”
The stoic boy just tilts his head. “It’s not like I lied. Just see for yourself.”
His words puzzle you, but before you can question Todoroki about them, Bakugou suddenly stomps toward you, catching you by surprise. As you release your hold on Midoriya and Kirishima, the blond comes to a stop in front of you and studies your face for the next several seconds.
When he finally pulls his gaze away from you, Bakugou turns to look at Todoroki again. “I’ll let you live to see tomorrow. Be grateful, you bastard.”
Stoic expression never faltering, Todoroki just blinks, “Thanks.”
As you snort at the exchange, Kirishima grins at you. “So, what do you wanna do, Sensei? Make a pillow fort?”
At the words “pillow fort”, Todoroki’s eyes brighten. “Yes.”
Bakugou scowls, “What you want doesn’t fucking matter, Half-and-Half. This is about Sensei, remember?”
A smile forms on your lips. “A pillow fort sounds like a great idea, but first, I’d like to do a little stress baking. Any requests?”
Immediately, Todoroki and Kirishima reel off what they like while Midoriya shyly mentions a dessert he hasn’t had in awhile. Bakugou just rolls his eyes before saying that he refuses to bake anything super sweet.
In the end, you decide to make multiple desserts, so everyone will be happy. Not only that, it ensures that you’ll be able to keep yourself busy for awhile, meaning you’ll be able to avoid thinking about your horrible nightmare.
It’s not just the baking itself that keeps you distracted, however. The whole time you’re in the kitchen, the students take turns keeping you engaged in fun conversations.
Kirishima tells you about a movie he went to see recently with Tetsutetsu that, according to him, was the definition of manliness. Midoriya brings up what he’s recently added to his hero notebook and how he’d like your opinion on some of the observations he made regarding his classmates.
Every now and then, Todoroki chimes in with a pun or a meme, making you laugh every time. While he mostly remains silent except for the times he snaps at the others for making careless mistakes with their baking, Bakugou does eventually start talking to you about his training regimen which he’s considering adding onto and wants your input on much to your surprise.
Considering how much fun you’re having with your students, it’s like your nightmare didn’t even happen. While your eyes and hands are still red, it would be hard for anyone to think anything is wrong after seeing the large smile you’re now sporting.
Just goes to show that no foe is a match for your students, not even the haunting memories of a past best left forgotten.

No Holding Back
I wanna start off by saying that right now I don’t plan to write the end of the year final exam aside from what I wrote in that one post I reblogged yesterday. I just don’t have any inspiration for the actual battle and I think it’d be better in third person POV which is not my preference since I like writing second person.
However, there is one scene that happens before the exam that I really wanted to write, so here it is. I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
Today’s the big day. The day you’ve been preparing for these past several weeks.
The day of Class 1-A’s practical final exam
Rather than be with the other teachers who are currently explaining to the students what their exam will be like, you’re walking through the fake cityscape where your exam will be held. The reason for this being that Nedzu thought it would be extra entertaining if Midoriya and Bakugou didn’t find out who their exam proctor was until the very last minute.
While you could’ve waited to reveal yourself during the exam, you decided not to since you wanted to talk to the boys beforehand. There’s something important you want them to know that needs to be said before the exam begins.
That’s why you decide to wait for your students at the cityscape’s entrance, wearing the hero suit Hatsume has been working on with the exception of your helmet since you wanted the boys to be able to see your face when you were talking to them. You want them to be able to see how important what you’re about to tell them is.
On the way to the entrance, you check to make sure all the traps you and Hatsume set up all across the cityscape are in place and ready to go. Thankfully, since your exam is the last one of the day, you have plenty of time to do this.
About fifteen minutes after you eventually arrive at the entrance gate, the school bus driven by Yagi drops off Midoriya and Bakugou, who are both clad in their hero costumes. Once they take notice of you, their eyes grow large.
“Y/N-sensei?!”
With a smile, you wave at your students. “Hey, guys, I bet you weren’t expecting me when you were told your exam proctor would be a surprise, huh?”
Thankfully, the boys don’t look disappointed about the fact that you’re their opponent, just surprised. Even though you knew it was stupid, a little part of you had worried that Midoriya and Bakugou would be disappointed that they didn’t get a stronger opponent like the other teachers, so it’s a relief to see that they don’t appear bothered by your role in their final exam.
Bakugou crosses his arms. “So, that’s why we’re the only team that doesn’t have the option of running away. It would be too fucking easy otherwise.”
While a panicked Midoriya tries to quietly scold his classmate, obviously worried that you’d be offended by the blond’s words, you chuckle, “That’s right. If this were a contest of speed, there’s no way I could stop you two. So, we decided to get rid of that option since the point of this exam is to challenge you.”
A grin forms on your lips. “Besides doing that, in order to make things as challenging as possible, we also added the rule about me being able to win if I successfully destroy seventy-five percent or greater of the town you two heroes are supposed to be protecting. Aren’t we teachers so kind? Now, your exam will be even more fun!”
Amusingly enough, Bakugou seems quite pleased with this setup. Midoriya, on the other hand, is chuckling nervously, looking like he can’t decide if he should be happy like his former childhood friend or worried about this situation.
Your grin grows. “You know, the principal was the one who decided I would be your exam proctor. Out of all the teachers, he wanted me to be your opponent. Do you know why?”
Both students stare at you with obvious surprise before shaking their heads. Midoriya then moves to grab his chin. “Considering how the summer final exams were set up, you must have been chosen because the principal believed you were the teacher that posed the greatest challenge for us. Could it be because of your Quirk, or maybe...”
You can’t tell what he says after that since he starts mumbling under his breath, doing so at a very impressive speed that you have no chance of keeping up with. While you watch the green haired boy with obvious amusement, Bakugou glares at him. “Stop your fucking muttering, Deku! No one can fucking understand you if you talk like that, you dumbass!”
Midoriya’s mumbling comes to an abrupt halt as the shorter boy dons a sheepish expression. “Ah, right. Sorry, Kacchan.”
Rolling his eyes, the blond turns to focus his gaze back on you. “Are you gonna tell us the fucking reason, or are we supposed to figure it out ourselves?”
Your eyes twinkle mischievously. “I could tell you, but I won’t. You’re both smart boys after all. I’m sure you’ll both figure it out soon enough.”
Bakugou clicks his tongue at your response while Midoriya’s expression becomes determined. Despite his initial reaction, you know the hothead will work hard to figure out the reason since there’s no way his pride would allow the green haired boy to figure it out before him.
That’s when you remember why you came out to meet the two in the first place. “You were actually supposed to find out about me being your opponent once the exam started, but I decided to meet you guys here ‘cause there’s something I have to tell you before the exam.”
Your expression turns serious, immediately earning you the students’ full, undivided attention. Their postures straighten as their brows furrow while you quietly study them closely for the next several seconds.
Expression never changing, you finally open your mouth to say, “I love you.”
There’s a brief moment of silence before your words properly register, and then, the boys react.
“Ehhhhh?!”
“W-What the fuck?!”
The corners of your lips curve upwards as both their faces turn red, with Midoriya unsurprisingly sporting an extra dark blush that covers his whole face. Rather than tease them like you normally would, you continue, “I admire you both a lot; I have for a long time. You’re two of the strongest people I know, and you guys never cease to amaze me.”
Both students stare at you with wide eyes as you smile softly. “I’m very proud of both of you and how far you’ve come. I consider it an honor to call myself someone you two call teacher. It’s a role I treasure with all my heart.”
Midoriya’s eyes grow teary. “Sensei…”
While Bakugou remains strangely quiet, you put your hands on your hips. “It’s because I love and admire you both so much that I want to give you the best possible challenge. That’s why I have no intention to hold back against you guys. When we face each other, I’m fighting to win.”
Your eyes gain a serious gleam. “So, I want you guys to do the same, understand? I don’t want either of you to even consider holding back against me out of worry that you’ll hurt me with your powerful Quirks. I want you to treat me like you would an actual villain who’s going on a rampage across town.”
A smirk forms on your lips. “The only way you stand a chance of winning is by going at me with all your strength, so if you wanna pass this exam, you better bring nothing less than your A game. Otherwise, I’ll have to give you guys your first failing grade.”
“Hah!”
Immediately, your and Midoriya’s eyes focus on Bakugou who’s giving you his trademark grin. “Like I’d ever do something so half-assed! I was planning on going all out from the start! You’re going down, Sensei!”
Midoriya quickly brings his gaze back to you and gives you a determined look. “We won’t hold back, Sensei! We’ll put everything into this fight and defeat you! We absolutely won’t lose!”
It’s obvious from their expressions that they’re both completely serious. Your students have no intention to lose to you, so you won’t have to worry about them holding back on you.
Warmth bubbles in your chest as you smile at them. “I have high expectations for you both. Don’t let me down.”
Both boys grin at you in return. “Right!”
Knowing you shouldn’t put off the exam any longer, you decide to head back into the cityscape to get ready. Before you do, you decide to have a little fun at your students’ expense. “I’m glad to see you guys so motivated. I thought I would have to offer you both a kiss like I did for the obstacle course race at the Cultural Festival, but I guess I don’t need to, huh?”
Bright blushes color their cheeks as Midoriya begins incoherently stammering. Bakugou scowls as he glares at you. “I told you all I cared about was winning! I didn’t want the damn kiss!”
A teasing grin forms on your lips. “Uh huh. Suuuure. That’s totally the only reason you two were working so hard to win that race.”
Midoriya’s face is completely scarlet now. “S-Sensei!”
You give them a wink before turning to head inside the cityscape. “If you guys really impress me, I might give you another kiss, so good luck!”
The green haired boy releases an embarrassed squeak while Bakugou starts cursing. Meanwhile, you’re laughing as you hurry to get ready for the exam.
Looks like I managed to give myself some more ammunition for the fight. Hopefully, the boys won’t hold it against me if I use their flustered reactions to my advantage.
Your grin grows. This is gonna be so much fun.

The Perfect Challenge
This is dedicated to the super sweet @mandsand who so kindly sent some Ko-Fi my way earlier this week. I remembered your ask about Nedzu and came up with an idea that I wanted to write out which goes along with one of the ideas you mentioned in your ask.
I hope you enjoy it! Also, thank you so much for the Ko-Fi! ^-^ I really appreciate it!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Around the middle of February, you find yourself in the principal’s office, sipping tea, while the other teachers keep Eri entertained in the teachers’ lounge. While having teatime with Nedzu isn’t exactly unusual since he often likes to visit the dorm and join Eri’s tea parties, it’s been a while since you last visited his office.
Thankfully, you’re told upfront that you’re not here because you’re in trouble. However, that’s all you’ve been told, so you have absolutely no clue what he wants to talk with you about today.
After you both spend a few minutes calmly enjoying your tea, Nedzu sets his cup down and focuses his attention on you. “I’m sure you are wondering why I called you here today.”
You nod your head. “I know it’s not ‘cause you have bad news for me, but besides that, I have absolutely no idea.”
He chuckles, “The same could be said for the other teachers. Their reactions to finding out that I wanted a private meeting with you today were all very amusing, especially Aizawa-kun’s.”
Blinking, you tilt your head curiously. “So, even they don’t know? Now, I’m even more curious.”
His smile grows. “It’s very simple, really. I wanted to discuss Class 1-A’s final exam with you.”
Your eyebrows furrow. “Their final exam? In that case, shouldn’t Shouta-san be a part of this discussion too? Why call just me here?”
Nedzu takes another sip of his tea. “Because I have an idea that I want to run past you first before suggesting it to the other teachers. I will only go through with it if you show your support.”
An idea that he’ll only use if you support it. What in the world could that be?
As if reading your mind, the principal answers your unspoken question. “I would like to do a repeat of what we did in the summer but with one exception.”
A wide grin appears on his face. “Instead of All Might, I want you to be one of the exam proctors.”
Your eyes grow large as your jaw drops. “You want me to what?!”
His eyes glow with obvious amusement and just a hint of mischief. “I want to see how much our students have grown since the summer by using the same exam structure. However, since All Might is now retired, he obviously cannot fight against the students like he did before. So, I am in need of a replacement.”
Once you finally get over your shock, you give him an incredulous look. “But, why me?! Why not another pro hero like Hound Dog?! I don’t understand!”
He rubs his chin thoughtfully. “I have considered that possibility and will likely have him be an opponent in Class 1-B’s final exam since I do agree he would pose an excellent challenge for the students.”
Confusion dawns your features. “Then, why not have him be an exam proctor for Class 1-A too? How could I possibly provide more of a challenge than an actual pro hero?”
Nedzu presses his paws together. “While it’s true that he overall would be a more challenging opponent for the majority of the students, there is one pair of students I can think of who would benefit more from having you as an opponent instead of him.”
All you can do is stare at him with obvious surprise. “Really? What pair of students would that be?”
With a wide smile, the hybrid outstretches his arms with a flourish. “Why, the two students you know best, of course! Midoriya-kun and Bakugou-kun!”
Once again, you find yourself gaping in disbelief. “You want to put Midoriya and Bakugou in a team against me?!”
The obviously amused principal nods his head. “That’s right! I want to see how much those two have grown by placing them on a team together. Obviously, they have worked together since then, so we know their relationship has improved. However, I have unfortunately not had the opportunity to witness this development with my own eyes, so I want to take the chance to do just that with this exam.”
Well, it is true that the two times you’ve seen Midoriya and Bakugou team up to fight are both times that Nedzu nor any of the other teachers could see them work together. Considering how the events of your vision about the Midoriya/Bakugou vs All Might match went, you can understand why the hybrid would want to see for himself how much they’ve actually grown since then.
While that does make sense to you, there’s one thing you still can’t wrap your mind around. “How would I be the perfect opponent for them? Those two could easily take me down if they worked together. Sure, I can predict their movements with my Quirk, but I can only dodge for so long, especially against two opponents coming at me at the same time.”
Nedzu wags a finger at you. “Now, now, I think you should give yourself more credit. While it’s true they have you beat when it comes to a contest of power, when it comes to a contest of will and intelligence, I think you could be quite the challenging opponent for them.”
Before you can tell him that you’re not so sure about that, he continues, “It seems you haven’t realized it yet, but you have a special advantage over those two, Y/N-san. One that’s great enough that I would choose you over every other teacher to be those boys’ opponent.”
At the sight of your shocked expression, the principal smiles, “You know those boys better than anyone else at this school does, excluding the boys themselves, of course. You’ve been watching those two in your visions for quite some time. So, you are likely very familiar with their strengths and weaknesses along with any habits they may have.”
His smile grows. “I also don’t think it’d be a stretch to say that you’d have an easier time predicting their movements as compared to anyone’s else, and that’s without even using your Quirk. Or, am I wrong?”
For several seconds, all you can do is stare at the hybrid, too stunned to speak. Once you eventually find your voice, you slowly shake your head. “No, you’re right. I didn’t notice it until after I started training with Nighteye, but after he showed me how to better analyze my opponent’s movements, I realized that I do have an easier time doing that when I spar with Midoriya and Bakugou as compared to everyone else.”
You didn’t notice that fact until the day Nighteye had you spar with Midoriya and told you to predict his movements without using your Quirk. You expected to have a hard time with such a feat, but soon enough, you realized that you were wrong.
Because you’ve spent so much time watching the green haired boy, you are very familiar with how his mind works. Obviously, you’re no mind reader, so you can’t predict his every move like you can with your Quirk. However, you have noticed that he has little tells that indicate what direction he’ll be moving in or what kind of attack he’s likely to use.
In the case of Bakugou, you have a slightly more difficult time. However, like Midoriya, you are good at reading the blond’s movements when it comes to hand-to-hand combat since you’ve spent so many years watching him fight and listening to his former childhood friend analyze his movements. Of course, you learning how to fight by watching Bakugou also played a big role in you gaining such a good understanding of his fighting style.
The fact that Nedzu noticed this all on his own proves just how observant he is. You wonder how many of the spars you’ve had with the two boys he has watched for him to notice this fact or if he found out through some other means.
Eventually, you’re brought out of your thoughts by his voice. “You have a very high opinion of both boys which is perfectly understandable, but you shouldn’t throw in the towel so quickly, Y/N-san. Those boys are strong, but so are you. You all have your own special strengths. It’s just up to you to figure out how you can use your strengths to your advantage.”
A contemplative expression dawns your features as your gaze falls to your hands which are still holding your teacup. After several seconds pass in silence, you reply, “Growing up, I would often compare myself to those two. I always thought they were so strong while I.…wasn't, which always made me feel pathetic since they were years younger than me.”
Your grip on your cup tightens. “I always wanted to be strong like them, but it just seemed like an impossible dream.”
“But, it’s not, is it?”
When you lift your eyes, you meet Nedzu’s kind gaze. The tension in your frame eases at the reassuring sight. “No, it’s not. No dream is impossible if you work hard enough.”
The corners of your lips curve upwards. “Never give up on your dreams. That’s something Midoriya taught me.”
Wearing a matching smile, the hybrid nods his head. “I agree completely. Anything becomes impossible if you give up from the start, but if you persevere, anything is possible. That’s what I believe.”
At that moment, your Quirk activates. Your surroundings change, replaced with the scenery of a cityscape much like what you saw in your vision of the Midoriya/Bakugou vs All Might fight.
All you can do is watch amazed as you run all throughout the cityscape, leaving traps and causing destruction wherever you go. Meanwhile, Midoriya and Bakugou are hot on your trail, trying to stop you from causing further damage while also having to avoid all your traps.
Much to your amazement, the boys are having a harder time than you expected. While they come close to capturing you several times, you always somehow manage to escape before they can put the handcuffs on you.
Unfortunately for you, your vision ends before you can see the results of the exam. As your sight returns to normal, you find yourself staring at an obviously intrigued Nedzu with wonder. “I...I really can do it. There is a way to provide a challenge for them while playing to my strengths.”
A grin appears on his face. “I had no doubt about that, but please do tell. What requirements were established for their final exam?”
You set your teacup down on the coffee table before clasping your hands together. “It was obvious that they were trying to capture me, so either they didn’t want to try running to the exit even though that would be the easiest way to win or that just wasn’t an option for them.”
Nedzu thoughtfully rubs his chin. “Most likely, it was the latter. If you were to agree to be an exam proctor, I planned to do away with the option of escaping through the exit for those two since that would’ve, as you said, been far too easy for them.”
Remembering your actions from the vision, you decide to share another observation you made. “One other thing I noticed was that I was doing a lot of intentional property damage, and I think there was a reason I was doing it besides just to be true to my villain role. Also, every time I was successful at destroying a part of the city, the more panicked the guys became.”
With a chuckle, the principal finishes off the rest of his tea. “I see. Obviously, a requirement was created in which the students must capture you before you destroy too much of the town you are attacking. What a wonderful idea. Perhaps, I should include that as a requirement for the other team exams as well.”
So, that’s how it is. Now, it all makes sense. That’s why you were causing so much property damage--because you could win the match if you destroyed enough of it before Midoriya and Bakugou caught you.
Thanks to that requirement, there really is a way for you to come out on top if the students don’t bring their A game. With enough careful planning and lots of Hatsume’s beloved inventions at your disposal, you really could give Midoriya and Bakugou a run for their money.
Before you even realize it, you find yourself grinning broadly. “Looks like Class 1-A is in for a very exciting final exam.”
Nedzu dons a matching grin. “Indeed. I am very much looking forward to the results.”
So are you.

A Shoulder To Lean On
This takes place after the events of chapter 256. If y’all don’t wanna be spoiled, I highly recommend avoiding reading this.
For those of you who don’t mind manga spoilers, I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
Today is just full of surprises.
The first surprise was finding out that Aizawa and Present Mic would be leaving campus while classes were still in session for something other than their usual hero work. While the underground hero dropped by the 1-A dorm to let you know he would be gone for the next few hours, he didn’t go into detail besides saying that he’d be with Detective Tsukauchi.
Naturally, you couldn’t help but be curious, which led to your Quirk activating to provide some much needed clarity. After you saw the vision, however, you immediately regretted wanting to know more after finding out the purpose behind Detective Tsukauchi requesting Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s assistance.
Apparently, the villain known as Kurogiri, who had been captured around the time the incident with Overhaul happened, is actually a Nomu that was created using the corpse of Shirakumo Oboro, someone who was a dear friend of Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s back when they were all in high school together and who died while he was still in high school.
Because the vision was so short, you were only able to hear the explanations provided by Detective Tsukauchi and Gran Torino in regards to why they needed Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s help. Apparently, they were hoping they could get some information out of Kurogiri by focusing on the two UA teachers’ connection to Shirakumo.
It made sense why the detective and Gran Torino wanted to enlist the services of the other pro heroes, but you couldn’t say you completely agreed with their plan. How could you when all you could think about was the amount of pain it would put Aizawa and Present Mic through?
Not long after you received that vision, the next surprise hit you in the form of Eri suddenly crying out in pain while the two of you were working on a puzzle together. Immediately, you pulled her into your arms while she cried about how her horn was tingling.
Her horn, which has grown a good bit since your and her release from the hospital back in October, suddenly had a slight glow to its tip and base. That was the first time you had ever seen her horn look like that, so it caught you by surprise.
Of course, you couldn’t let that show in your face since you didn’t want to worry the child. Instead, you spent the next several minutes calming her down, assuring her that everything would be fine and that she was safe at UA. You told her that no matter what happens with her Quirk that you and everyone else at UA would always be there for her.
When you placed a kiss on her horn, that helped calm Eri down since it showed her that you weren’t afraid of the strange development happening with her Quirk. As a result of seeing you acting so calm, she was able to eventually relax too.
However, the whole experience still left her feeling exhausted, so you brought her up to her room for a nap. After reading her a story and staying at her bedside until she fell into a restful slumber, you eventually left the bedroom to return downstairs, with the plan of making some apple flavored treats to cheer her up.
That’s why you’re currently in the kitchen, shifting around the cabinets to see what you have at your disposal before deciding on what to bake. It’s right after you finally make your decision that you hear the front door open which brings in the next big surprise of the day.
After exiting the kitchen, you see Present Mic stretching himself out across the couch with his face buried in the cushion. If anyone else were to find him in such a position, they’d immediately assume it was because he was exhausted after having a long day.
You, however, know better. While the incident with Eri made you temporarily forget about the vision you had earlier today, you immediately remember what he and Aizawa went through today after you see the normally vibrant hero looking so listless.
Deciding you should focus on making sure that the vocal hero is okay, you put your baking preparations on hold and immediately head for the couch. Thinking he might not be in the mood to talk after what happened, you remain quiet as you crouch down beside where his head lays.
A part of you is tempted to reach out to pat his head or shoulders, but you don’t want to risk startling him if he hasn’t noticed your presence yet. Plus, it’s possible he’s the type who doesn’t like to be touched when really upset.
So, instead, you patiently wait, with your arms wrapped around your knees, for Present Mic to make the next move. Eventually, after several long minutes pass in silence, the blond turns his head so that he can look at you.
He studies your face for a few minutes before finally breaking the silence. “Considering how you’re not asking me what’s wrong and don’t seem at all surprised about why I’m like this, I’m gonna guess you had a vision about what me and Shouta went through while we were gone.”
Wincing, you lower your gaze as you nod your head. “Yeah, but I didn’t see everything. Basically, I just got to see the explanation for why you guys were asked to go to Tartarus, so I don’t know what all happened after that.”
After saying that, you quietly add, “I’m sorry.”
One of his hands moves to ruffle your hair, surprising you. When you look up to meet his gaze, you see the soft expression Present Mic is now wearing. “What are you apologizing for? You didn’t do anything wrong.”
You bite your lip. “I know I can’t control what my Quirk shows me, but I still feel bad for finding out such personal information about you and Shouta-san without getting permission first. I’m sure you both would’ve preferred me not finding out, so…”
As your words trail off, Present Mic moves to sit up, shaking his head as he pats the spot beside him. After you take a seat on the couch, he replies, “I can tell you right now that me and Shouta don’t care about that. I don’t see it as an invasion of privacy and neither will he since like you said it was completely out of your control. Besides, I came here with the plan of telling you about Shirakumo so your vision actually saved me from having to make a lengthy explanation.”
All you can do is stare at him with wide eyes. “You came here to tell me about Shirakumo-san?”
Present Mic slouches against the back of the couch with a sigh. “Well, my main goal was to put you on Shouta duty, but to do that, I know I needed to provide an explanation for why I needed your help with him.”
The corners of your lips tug downwards at the implications of his words. “I take it that Shouta-san didn’t handle the talk with Kurogiri well?”
He tiredly runs a hand down his face. “That’s an understatement. He kept it together for the most part, but on the inside, I know he was hurting really badly. While just from looking at him, he might seem fine to anyone who doesn’t know him, but I know better. That’s why I’m worried about him. I don’t want him to just bury his pain like how he did when Shirakumo died.”
His expression tightens at the mention of his friend’s death. You immediately move closer to the blond so you can lean against him, hoping the physical contact might offer him some comfort.
Considering how the corners of his lips quirk upwards, you think you were successful. One of his arms moves to wrap around your shoulders and gives them a strong squeeze. “This is why I’m here. I know this is exactly what Shouta needs after what happened today.”
Your frown deepens once you realize Present Mic came solely for the purpose of helping Aizawa but didn’t even consider asking for help himself. Of course, you shouldn’t be surprised since that’s just the kind of guy he is.
Instead of focusing on his own needs, the blond is only worrying about his friend even though he has to be hurting just as much as Aizawa. While he’s doing his best to act like he’s alright, you know that’s not true. There’s no way he can be okay after everything he went through today.
That’s why you don’t hesitate to wrap your arms around the older man, catching him by surprise. When he slowly moves to return the embrace, you bury your face in his chest. “While I’m more than willing to be there for Shouta-san and offer him the comfort he needs, I don’t think he’s the only one who needs it. You can ask for help too, you know.”
When he doesn’t immediately respond, you continue, “I know that you don’t want me to see how much pain you’re in right now ‘cause you don’t want me to worry about you. While I’m gonna worry anyway ‘cause I care about you, I thought maybe you could let some of your true feelings show if I hide my face like this. This way I won’t see anything you don’t want me to see.”
A shaky laugh escapes him as he hides his face in your hair and tightens his hold on you. “I must really be off my game if you could see through me that easily.”
You move to gently stroke his back. “Considering what you went through today, I think it’d be pretty hard for anyone to hide how much they were hurting.”
Soon after that, silence envelops the room, with neither of you particularly interested in breaking it. Instead, the two of you just remain in that position, clinging to one another, with you hoping that you’re able to provide the comfort he so desperately needs.
Eventually, the silence is broken when he speaks. “Shirakumo was our best friend. We did everything together, and not only that, he was a big source of encouragement for Shouta back when he was always so down on himself. Shirakumo did a lot for him, including giving Shouta his goggles which is why Shouta wears goggles with his hero costume now.”
When you hear that last sentence, your breath catches while your heart skips a beat. Oh no, does that mean-?
As if reading your mind, Present Mic gives you an encouraging squeeze. “Those yellow goggles weren’t the ones Shirakumo gave him. Since they’re an important memento, Shouta didn’t want to risk breaking them while dealing with villains, so he got the yellow goggles which could hide where he was looking while he kept Shirakumo’s goggles at home where they’d be safe.”
A large sigh of relief passes your lips at his words. Thank goodness. You would’ve hated if your birthday present for Aizawa caused him to replace the goggles he got from Shirakumo. While you had good intentions when making that present, you would’ve never done it if you knew his old goggles were a gift from an important friend like you first thought after hearing how Aizawa started wearing goggles.
You then start mentally reprimanding yourself for bringing unnecessary attention to yourself when you’re supposed to be comforting Present Mic. Before you can apologize, the vocal hero continues where he left off without any prompting. “Because Shirakumo was such a big influence on Shouta, he took Shirakumo’s death the hardest. He closed himself off from others and decided he’d become an underground hero who just worked alone.”
That’s when you remember the time when Aizawa got hit by an age regression Quirk and how you got to see what he was like as a teenager. Considering his behavior at that time, that must’ve been what he was like after Shirakumo died. It had already hurt your heart thinking about how surprised he was to be considered your hero, but that pain is even worse now because you know the circumstances that led to him wanting to become an underground hero in the first place.
It’s the sound of Present Mic’s voice that successfully draws you out of your thoughts. “We both took his death hard, but we both managed to find our own ways of dealing with it. Maybe not the best and healthiest ways, but they were what worked for us. We were able to accept Shirakumo’s death and move on as best as we could.”
His grip on you tightens. “But, then we had to find out that some twisted bastard used our best friend’s corpse to create a Nomu. They turned Shirakumo, who wanted to become a hero more than anything, into a tool to be used for villains.”
Noticing the way his body trembles, you strengthen your hold on the older man while your heart breaks at the sound of the obvious pain in his voice. “He died a hero and was supposed to remain one, but those bastards interfered and turned his corpse into a villain. And, I will never forgive them for that.”
This is probably the first time you’ve ever heard Present Mic sound so angry. Of course, it’s perfectly justified. While you don’t know what it’s like to lose a best friend, if you were in his shoes, you’re sure you would be just as furious.
Knowing there really isn’t anything you can say to make this situation easier on him, all you can do is focus on being there for the blond. Right now, what he needs most is a chance to release all those pent up emotions rather than just bottle them up like he probably originally intended to do.
After getting everything off his chest, Present Mic goes quiet and slumps further against you as he hugs you as tightly as he can. Meanwhile, you gently stroke his back all the while wishing you could provide more comfort to the vocal hero.
Because of your current position, you have no idea how much time has passed, but you do know the two of you have been in this same position for awhile. You just hope Eri doesn’t wake up from her nap and find you and him in this position since you’re sure the blond would prefer not to be seen in such a state.
Just as you think that, Present Mic finally releases his hold on you, prompting you to pull away from his chest. When you do, you see a small but genuine smile on his face. “Thanks, Y/N-chan. I needed that.”
A grin forms on your lips. “I’m glad I was able to help, but I sure hope you’re not thinking that’s the end of this comforting session, Hizashi-san, or I will be extremely insulted.”
Once you move to stand, you grab his hands and pull the surprised hero to his feet. “Now, it’s time to drown your sorrows in sugar. Baking is very therapeutic, you know.”
He snorts, “You don’t say? Well, I guess I’ll have to give that a try then. Something sugary does sound good right about now. What’s on the menu?”
Since you feel a little stiff after being in the same position for so long, you start stretching your arms as you both head for the kitchen. “Well, I wanna make something with apples for Eri since she had a rough day too, but besides doing that, we can make whatever you want and as much as you want.”
Noticing the frown that appears on his face after you mention Eri’s rough day, you explain to him what happened with her earlier while you start gathering all the ingredients you’ll need for baking. Once you finish your explanation, Present Mic sighs, “This really was a bad day. Hopefully, Eri-chan will be feeling better when she wakes up.”
You give him a bright smile. “She’ll definitely perk up if she wakes up to some tasty treats. Thankfully, the day isn’t over yet, so we still have plenty of time to turn it around for the better.”
One of his hands moves to ruffle your hair. “That is a specialty of yours after all. Considering how I’m feeling now, I’m not too worried about Eri-chan or Shouta for that matter. I’ll leave him in your hands, Y/N-chan.”
Your smile grows. “You can count on me!”
And, that’s a promise.

Hospital Visit
After seeing the beautiful art @quirkquess drew for my birthday, which you can find here, I felt compelled to write a little drabble inspired by it. I hope y’all enjoy it! XD
After getting an unexpected call from Tsukauchi, you later find yourself at a hospital in Osaka. Normally, when you’re in a hospital, it’s because you’re a patient, but thankfully, that’s not the case today.
Unfortunately, that means someone you know and care about is a patient instead.
According to the police detective, Fatgum had a rough encounter with some villains yesterday. While he came out the victor, the BMI hero was regrettably not unscathed.
In addition to losing all his fat, Fatgum ended up with several bone fractures and a concussion. Fortunately, none of his injuries are serious, so he won’t be out of commission for a long period of time. He’ll be back to normal in no time as long as he makes sure to get enough rest.
While that sounds simple enough, it unfortunately isn’t since Fatgum hasn’t exactly been a model patient since arriving at the hospital. Tsukauchi was told by the staff that Fatgum keeps trying to escape to find food since he’s not a fan of the hospital’s food.
That’s why the police detective decided to request your services. He had to come to the hospital anyway to question one of the villains that’s currently a patient there, so he thought it’d be a good idea to bring you along to help with Fatgum while he visited the villain.
So, after he drops you off outside the door to the BMI hero’s room, Tsukauchi parts ways with you, telling you that he’ll provide an escort back to UA whenever you’re ready to leave. After thanking him, you move to open the door.
When you do, you see the room’s sole occupant, lying in bed wearing a disgruntled expression. You feel a sharp pang in your chest when you take in the sight of all his bandages and see his right arm in a sling.
As soon as his eyes fall on you, they grow large. “Y/N?! What are ya doin’ here?”
Your eyes narrow as you put your hands on your hips. “I think a better question would be: Why did I hear about you being in the hospital from Detective Tsukauchi instead of you?”
His expression turns sheepish. “Uhhhh. I was gonna do it later today?”
Yeah, right. No doubt Taishiro was planning on not telling you in order to avoid worrying you. That knucklehead.
With a huff, you cross your arms. “I guess I’ll have to keep that in mind the next time I end up injured, huh?”
Panicked, Taishiro quickly sits up and immediately winces when the sudden movement jostles his injuries. Worried, you hurry over to his bedside and lay a gentle hand on his shoulder. “Are you okay, Taishiro-san?”
He nods before giving you a little grin. “Yeah, I’m okay. Just sat up too fast. Sorry for worryin’ ya.”
The corners of your lips tug downwards. “I’m sorry. It’s because of what I said. Even though I didn’t mean it, I shouldn’t have said it.”
Taishiro uses his free hand to ruffle your hair as his expression softens. “Ya don’t need to apologize. Ya made a good point. It’s not fair of me to expect ya to tell me every time ya get injured but not do the same for ya when it happens to me.”
After saying that, his arm moves to wrap around you so he can pull you toward him. As you gently embrace the older man, he buries his face in your hair. “I’m sorry for not tellin’ ya, Y/N. I promise I won’t let it happen again. I won’t try to keep ya in the dark anymore.”
You nuzzle his chest. “Thank you.”
A few minutes later, you finally pull away from the blond and give him a once over, using one of your hands to gently hold his face so you can better examine it. “Are you in a lot of pain? Do you need anything?”
With a soft grin, Taishiro rests his free hand over yours and gives it a squeeze. “I’m fine, really. I’ll be fully recovered in no time, I promise.”
Raising an eyebrow, you reply, “I wonder about that. Recovery requires rest, and considering what the hospital staff has said about you, it doesn’t sound like you’ve been doing a lot of that since becoming a patient.”
He immediately averts his gaze as he releases his hold on your hand. “O-Oh, really? They said that?”
An amused huff passes your lips  “Uh huh. According to them, you haven’t exactly been a model patient.”
Pouting, Taishiro grumbles, “I just wanted some decent food. They act like I’m gonna leave the hospital and never come back.”
Giggling, you move to press a soft kiss on his bandaged cheek, making him blush. “I know. That’s why I brought along something special so you wouldn’t try to make anymore escape attempts today.”
While you move to pull off your backpack, the blond covers his flustered face with his free hand and peeks at you through the opening between his fingers. “Somethin’ special?”
You grin as you pull out some tupperware and take off the lid, revealing the takoyaki you made. “Yep. I made your favorite. They’re still hot since I made them at your apartment before coming here while Detective Tsukauchi visited the local police station.”
His eyes light up as his mouth begins to water. “They look delicious!”
Your grin grows as you hold out a takoyaki and bring it close to his lips. “Say ‘Ahhhh’, Taishiro-san.”
The flustered expression he was wearing earlier returns with a vengeance. “W-Wait! Ya don’t have to feed me! I can still use my left arm!”
Shaking your head, you move the takoyaki closer to him when he tries to pull away. “That doesn’t change the fact that it’s still injured. You shouldn’t push yourself unnecessarily, Taishiro-san. Just let me take care of you today, okay?”
Realizing you won’t be taking no for an answer, the embarrassed hero reluctantly eats the offered takoyaki. After he does, his expression brightens. “They really are delicious! That’s one of the best takoyaki I’ve ever had!”
Pride bubbles in your chest as you offer him another one, moving to take a seat on the edge of his bed so you can have easier access to the older man. “I should hope so. After all, unlike those other takoyaki, mine have all my love for you in them. There’s no way I’d allow them to lose to any possible rivals.”
Even though you made sure to say that after he finished swallowing the second takoyaki, Taishiro still makes a choked sound after hearing your response. He futilely attempts to hide his now scarlet cheeks behind his hand. “There ya go again. This must be your payback for me not tellin’ ya that I was here.”
Your eyes sparkle with obvious mischief as you offer him another takoyaki. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Taishiro-san. I’m just letting you know how much I love you, just as I always do. Nothing unusual about that.”
Taishiro pouts before accepting the offered food. After swallowing, he asks, “You’re not gonna cut down on the flusterin’ at all today, are ya?”
The corners of your lips lift higher as you move to kiss his forehead. “Nope~ I’m gonna dote on you as much as possible today. Aren’t you lucky?”
He catches you by surprise when he abruptly pulls you toward him until you’re sitting on the bed beside him. When you look up at him with wide eyes, Taishiro wraps his arm around your shoulders and pulls you further against him, grinning all the while. “I’m definitely the luckiest guy on the planet, gettin’ to have ya all to myself today. Thank ya for comin’, Y/N.”
Warmth envelopes your chest as you snuggle closer to the blond. “Anything for you, Taishiro-san.”
After all, your favorite hero deserves only the best.

A Hero In Their Eyes
Earlier this week, for my birthday, @euan112358 posted an epilogue to the Fortune birthday fic they wrote which included presents from Melissa Shield and Kouta and the Pussycats. This drabble, which is honestly too long to really be called a drabble, has to do with the conversation Iida and Midoriya had about Kouta that was in the fic.
I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
A week after your talk with Hawks, you find out from Aizawa that Kouta and the Pussycats will be paying Class 1-A and Class 1-B a visit later that day. He asks you to pass along the message to the students and puts you in charge of keeping everyone in line while the visitors are here.
Shortly after your talk with Aizawa, your Quirk activates, showing you a brief vision of Ragdoll tackling you with a hug. Obviously, the older woman is going to be very happy to see you when she comes to visit today.
Apparently, after she eventually regained consciousness, one of the first things Ragdoll said was that you had been kidnapped that night along with her. While you had no idea that she had also been taken until you saw the news articles, she could tell thanks to her Quirk during the brief period of time you were both in the same building.
Despite her obviously traumatic experience, Ragdoll’s first instinct upon waking up after being rescued was to find out how you were doing. She wanted to make sure that you had been rescued too and that you hadn’t been hurt.
You had been completely moved to tears when Aizawa told you that. Even though she could’ve been resentful over the fact that you were able to use your Quirk to save your students but not her, she wasn’t. Instead, the older woman was just genuinely worried about you and even regretful over the fact that she wasn’t able to save you.
Ragdoll truly is a hero through and through. Even though most people might not recognize her as one now that she has no Quirk, you’ll always consider her to be a hero.
That’s why you want to do something special in preparation for today’s visitors. Even though Aizawa said they won’t be staying for very long, you’d like to make something they can take with them and enjoy later when they get the chance.
So, after giving the students and Eri the big news, you head for the kitchen. While the kids are running around the dorm, working to make everything presentable for guests, you start baking a variety of cookies with the help of Satou and Eri.
Considering how much Pixie Bob and Ragdoll enjoyed the cookies they pilfered at the camp, you figure they’d be happy to receive some cookies as a present. You decide to make more than one kind since they all likely have different tastes, and you want to make cookies that they can all enjoy.
As a result, you end up spending a good amount of time in the kitchen. When the Pussycats eventually arrive for their visit, you’re actually still in the kitchen, making a few last minute touches to the cookies.
While Satou offers to stay with you to help, you tell him to go welcome the guests while you and Eri take care of finishing the cookie decorating since you’re both almost done. Once you’re completely satisfied with your work, you and Eri quickly clean yourselves up before heading for the living room.
Almost immediately after you leave the kitchen, the event from the vision you had earlier today happens.
“Kitten!”
Faster than you can blink, a green haired blur tackles you with enough force to knock you to the floor. Dimly, you’re aware of Mandalay scolding Ragdoll for her behavior while Tiger and Pixie Bob are laughing in the background. Most of the students are either fighting back the urge to laugh or are grinning at your current predicament.
Ragdoll affectionately rubs her cheek against yours as she squeezes you as tightly as possible. “It’s so good to see you, Kitten! Have you been doing well?! You look great!”
The corners of your lips quirk upwards as the older woman finally pulls her face away from yours, giving you the chance to speak. “It’s good to see you too, Ragdoll-san. I’m glad to see you’re doing well. To answer your question, I’ve been doing great. Right now, I’m feline paw-sitively purr-fect!”
And now all the Pussycats are laughing. Mandalay has a hand over her mouth in an attempt to muffle her laughter while Ragdoll is giggling so hard she has rolled off you and onto the floor. Naturally, your puns just make Tiger and Pixie Bob laugh harder.
Eri giggles from her spot near you, thankfully far enough away that she didn’t get knocked down along with you when you got tackled. The majority of your students react like her, with the exception of Todoroki who just huffs in amusement and Bakugou who rolls his eyes, looking as if he wishes this visit would hurry up and end for the sake of his sanity.
As this is happening, Kouta, who reacts like Bakugou, finally decides to take action. While he was originally standing with Midoriya, the dark haired boy moves to approach your current location.
Just as you push yourself into a sitting position, a pair of hands abruptly grabs your cheeks and starts pulling on them, making you wince. When you turn to see who the cheek puller is, you’re surprised to see Kouta glaring at you.
Mandalay’s laughter abruptly cuts off as she gives her nephew a scandalized look. “Kouta! What are you doing?!”
Everyone else also stops laughing when they see what Kouta is doing. While the rest of the Pussycats appear amused by his actions, most of your students are staring at him with wide eyes. Midoriya appears panicked while Bakugou has his eyes narrowed.
At his aunt’s shout, Kouta finally releases your cheeks, releasing a huff as he does so. A pout forms on your lips as you move to rub your sore cheeks. “What was that for, Kouta-kun?”
He scowls, “That’s what you get for being a liar. You’re lucky I decided to go easy on you.”
Confusion dawns your features. A liar? What does he mean by that?
Eri frowns at the other child as she moves to clutch your shirt. “Y/N isn’t a liar.”
Iida starts aggressively chopping his hands this way and that. “Eri-kun is correct! Y/N-sensei is one of the most honest and trustworthy people I know! I ask that you cease this slander at once, Kouta-kun! I will not tolerate such words being spoken about our teacher! I-”
Before he can continue defending you, you raise a hand to silence him and the other students who looked like they wanted to add in their own two cents. After thanking the bespectacled boy for his kind words, you bring your gaze back to Kouta and raise an eyebrow. “So, why exactly am I a liar?”
Kouta crosses his arms. “You told me you weren’t a hero.”
Your eyebrows furrow. “But I’m not.”
His scowl deepens. “Don’t give me that crap. The reason you got kidnapped at the camp was because you saved your students, right? Last time I checked, heroes are people who save others when they’re in danger even at their own expense which is exactly what you did that night. You even came with Eraserhead to save me and Midoriya-nii-chan. Do you seriously expect me to believe you’re not a hero after you did all that?”
All you can do is stare. Of all the things he could say, you definitely weren’t expecting that.
As you try to think of a response, an unexpected voice breaks the silence that had enveloped the room after Kouta finished speaking.
“The brat’s right.”
Immediately, every set of eyes moves to focus on Bakugou who’s calmly approaching you. When he sees your wide eyed expression, the blond rolls his eyes. “Why do you look so surprised? I was one of the people you saved, remember?”
Looking surprisingly serious, Bakugou holds your gaze after he crouches before you. “You can say that you’re not a hero all you want, but I ain’t ever gonna buy that crap. And neither is anyone else who actually knows you. So, you’re better off just giving it a rest, Sensei.”
Tears prick the corners of your eyes at your student’s words. “Bakugou…”
At that moment, a familiar weight wraps around your shoulders, and you turn to see Dark Shadow grinning at you. “Me and Fumikage feel the same way, Y/N! It’s because of you that the villains couldn’t hurt us! You’re our number one hero!”
The urge to cry grows when Tokoyami nods his head after coming to a stop beside Bakugou. “It is true. I cannot think of anyone else more deserving of the title ‘hero’ than you, Sensei. I can only hope to one day become the kind of hero for others that you were for me.”
Iida vigorously nods his head as he chops one of his hands in your direction. “I am in full agreement! I’ve said it once and I will say it again. You will always be seen as a hero in my eyes and in the eyes of the Iida family for what you did to save my brother.”
A proud smile forms on his face. “Now, I have two heroes that I admire and aspire to become more like!”
Just when you think your heart can’t take anymore, Eri gently tugs on your shirt, gaining your attention. When your teary eyes fall on her, she sweetly smiles, “You’re my hero too, Y/N. You were the first person to show me kindness and give me hope. You saved me from the darkness.”
Having reached your limit, you pull the silver haired girl into a hug and start bawling, unable to contain the happiness you’re currently feeling thanks to everyone’s words. Even though it’s true you had heard Iida say similar words before, you never expected for anyone else to consider you a hero. To think, your students and Eri had been feeling that way about you all this time.
“Look what you bastards did! You made her cry!”
“Shut up, you fu-I mean-stupid brat! You’re the one who started this stupid conversation in the first place!”
“Bakugou-kun! Kouta-kun! Cease your fighting at once! We should focus on consoling, Y/N-sensei!”
“Fumi, come join me in hugging Y/N! That’ll cheer her up!”
“I...I think someone else would be better suited for that role, Dark Shadow.”
While Eri returns your hug in hopes of offering comfort, Ragdoll gently pats your head as she smiles, “You’re really loved, huh, Kitten?”
A wobbly smile forms on your lips as you sniffle, “Yeah, I’m really lucky.”
Not wanting to worry everyone further, you quickly start scrubbing your eyes and attempt to rein in your tears. Yaoyorozu kindly offers you a handkerchief to help you with this endeavor.
Once you’ve finally calmed down, you release your hold on Eri after giving her a smile to show you’re alright. You then direct your gaze to Kouta and focus that smile on him. “While it was unintentional, it looks like I did lie to you after all. Sorry, Kouta-kun. I hope we can still be friends.”
Kouta averts his gaze. “Whatever. I’ll let it slide this time. Just don’t do it again.”
That’s when Mandalay approaches your group, wearing a mischievous smile. “Hey, Y/N, check out what Kouta has attached to the belt loop above his left pocket.”
Her nephew gives her an annoyed look as his expression turns embarrassed. “K-Knock it off, Mandalay!”
Curious, you turn to look at where the older woman is pointing. That’s when you notice the cute calico cat keychain hanging from one of the belt loops on the dark haired boy’s shorts.
The corners of your lips curve upwards to form a large grin. “Awww, it’s so cute! I didn’t realize you liked cats as much as the Pussycats, Kouta-kun!”
Mandalay’s smile grows. “He’s not wearing it because he likes cats, Y/N. Kouta saw it in a store and immediately wanted it because it reminded him of a certain someone. Check out the color of the cat’s eyes. Looks familiar, doesn’t it?”
When you look to examine the keychain again, your eyes widen once you realize the cat’s eyes are the same color as yours. Kouta scowls when you lift your surprised gaze to meet his. “Like I keep telling her, it’s not like that. Don’t start getting any weird ideas.”
Considering how flustered he is, it’s obvious the child is lying. He just doesn’t want to admit it.
Warmth bubbles in your chest. To think, you had such an impact on Kouta. You had no idea he felt that way about you.
Grinning, you pull the startled boy into a hug. “You’re so cute, Kouta-kun! Thank you! I’m so happy!”
He immediately starts squirming in an attempt to break free from your hold while several people laugh at his expense. “L-Let me go, dammit!”
While you could mess with him some more, you decide to have mercy on Kouta since you just remembered something important you need to tell him. As you release him, you say, “I should’ve said this sooner, but no swearing around Eri, alright? I know she’s technically older than you, but I’d prefer that those kinds of words don’t get added to her vocabulary just yet.”
Once he’s sure he’s out of hugging distance, Kouta gives you an incredulous look before directing his gaze to Eri, who’s watching him curiously, after you gesture toward her. For some reason, his brows furrow shortly after he does this.
His gaze then starts moving between you, her, and the Pussycats, who all stare at him with amusement when they see his puzzled expression. Before anyone can ask him what’s wrong, Kouta finally asks, “I thought you were younger than Mandalay and the others. How do you have a kid that’s older than me?”
Several students snort at his question while others immediately try to shush them. Meanwhile, all the Pussycats have hands over their mouths like they’re trying to fight the urge to break into another fit of laughter.
An amused huff passes your lips. “She’s not my kid, Kouta-kun. Eri is under UA’s protection, and I was asked to look after her since she’s the closest to me.”
Eri nods her head. “Y/N is my hero and my best friend, not my mom.”
All the ladies coo at her response while Kirishima starts sniffling. A warm smile forms on your lips as you gently ruffle the silver haired girl’s hair. “That’s right! We’re besties!”
After saying that, you return your gaze to Kouta, smiling all the while. “I hope you can become friends with Eri like how you did with me, Kouta-kun. It’d be nice if she could have someone around her age to talk to every now and then.”
Kouta gives the other child a scrutinizing look. After several seconds pass, he asks her, “Who’s your favorite hero?”
Her expression brightens as she beams, “Y/N, Deku-san, and Lemillion-san!”
You clutch your chest at her cute response while a flustered Midoriya happily smiles as several of his classmates either smile at him or give him encouraging nudges and pats. Meanwhile, Kouta dons a small grin. “You got good taste. Guess being friends with you wouldn’t be so bad.”
He then asks her who Lemillion is, so Eri excitedly starts telling him all about the blond. You and Mandalay share a grin at the sight of the children getting along.
Unfortunately, the two can’t chat for long since the Pussycats and Kouta still need to pay Class 1-B a visit. Remembering the presents you prepared, you quickly head for the kitchen, asking for the guests to wait for a few more minutes.
Thankfully, you put all the cookies in some tupperware before you and Eri cleaned up, so they’re all ready to go. After grabbing the tupperware, you rush over to where the Pussycats and Kouta are waiting for you.
Smiling, you hold out the tupperware for them. “After finding out that you guys were coming to visit, I thought I should prepare something special, so with the help of Eri and Satou, I made something you can take along with you since you can’t stay long.”
Mandalay accepts the tupperware and opens it after Ragdoll and Pixie Bob keep pestering her to do so. When she finally relents, the pro heroes’ eyes widen at the sight of all the cat-themed cookies inside.
Rather than just bake regular shaped cookies, you brought out some cookie cutters and made cookies in the shapes of cat faces and paws. You found those cookie cutters a few weeks ago and just couldn’t resist buying them since they were so cute.
For several seconds, the Pussycats just stare, and then, it happens. In a blink, you’re pulled into Ragdoll’s arms and start getting twirled at a rapid pace. “They’re so cute, Kitten! What a paw-some present! You really are the cat’s meow!”
When the twirling eventually comes to a stop, a laughing Tiger strongly pats your back. “Nicely done! That’s the Plus Ultra spirit!”
Meanwhile, Pixie Bob has already started eating a cookie. After taking a bite, her eyes grow large.
She quickly turns to face Mandalay and asks, with complete seriousness, “How mad would Eraser be if we took his TA home with us?”
Mandalay, who’s also happily eating a cookie, appears to be deeply considering her teammate’s question. Meanwhile, Kouta just rolls his eyes as he swipes a cookie for himself.
Immediately, all the students start protesting, declaring that they won’t hand you over so easily, with Eri vigorously nodding in agreement. You can’t help but laugh at everyone’s antics.
Looks like your surprise for the Pussycats was a complete success. Hopefully, this means they and Kouta will be making more visits in the future.
After all, who wouldn’t be happy to have such purr-fect company?

Not Scary
Originally, my plan was to start on the Tamaki fluff next, but then, I found myself really wanting to write that Shouji drabble I mentioned yesterday. So, here it is haha I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
While out grocery shopping with Shouji, the two of you happen upon a lost child, crying her eyes out. Unable to ignore a kid in trouble, you immediately approach her and try to calm her down, so you can find out why she’s all alone.
Eventually, you find out that she got separated from her mother. It took a little while for you to figure out the situation because for some reason she kept hiding her face in your chest, making it hard to understand what she was saying.
No matter how hard you try to coax her into pulling away from you so you can find out more information about her situation, the child refuses to budge. Thankfully, a solution to your problem is found in the form of a police officer who happened to be patrolling the area.
After you explain the situation to him, the officer promises to help the little girl find her mother. Considering how tightly she has been clinging to you since you found her, you had assumed it would be difficult to convince her to release you and go with the officer.
However, much to your surprise, the child doesn’t show any signs of resistance when you transfer her over to the police officer. Instead, she just quietly thanks you before hiding her face in the officer’s chest.
As you and Shouji are walking back to UA with the groceries the two of you purchased before finding the child, you decide to comment on the little girl’s strange behavior. “Was it just me, or was there something off about how she was acting? I understand being scared because she was separated from her mom, but I would’ve thought she’d calm down at least a little bit after we offered to help her. But, that wasn’t the case at all. I couldn’t even get her to look at me.”
“More than likely, I’m the one to blame for her acting like that.”
Your brows furrow at your student’s words. “What do you mean? All you were doing was carrying our groceries. You didn’t say or do anything strange. In fact, I don’t think you said anything the whole time we were with her.”
There’s a brief pause before Shouji finally replies, “Her clingy behavior started after she caught sight of me, so I think she was trying to hide from me. People typically find my appearance intimidating, children especially, so I figured that was the reason behind her fear. It would also explain why she was so relieved to be leaving with the police officer.”
All you can do is stare. “No way. Really? But....you’re not scary-looking at all! I get that you’re super tall and got lots of arms, but that’s not that unusual, right? Why would that make you intimidating?”
He does a slow blink. “This is the first time I’ve been asked a question like that, so I’m not sure how to respond.”
A sharp pang resounds in your chest at his response. It hurts hearing that your student is so used to being feared that he doesn’t know how to react to someone who doesn’t think that way. Is your reaction really that strange?
The corners of your lips curve downwards. “You are not scary, Shouji. I’ve seen scary people before, and you are definitely not like them. You’re gonna become a hero that makes people feel happy and hopeful, not fearful.”
His eyes stare at you with obvious surprise before eventually softening. Then, a warm grin appears on one of his arms. “Before coming to UA, I never really got the chance to hear those kinds of words, but I’m grateful that I can now. Thank you, Sensei.”
You give him a big grin. “You know, I like your Quirk a lot. After all, any Quirk that’s good for hugging is awesome in my book.”
Shouji chuckles, “I was pretty surprised when you told me that during your first day at UA, but it also made me happy. My major worry coming into UA was how people would react to my appearance, so it was a relief seeing you react so positively to my Quirk.”
Come to think of it, he had been rather surprised by your comment that day. At the time, you had just assumed he reacted like that because you had caught him off guard, suddenly addressing him like you did, but obviously, that wasn’t the case.
While you hate to hear that he had been worried about how his appearance would be received at UA, you’re glad that your words that day had such a positive effect on him. After learning this about your student, you’re determined to make sure he receives more compliments since he absolutely deserves them.
It honestly baffles you that anyone would ever think he’s not fitting to be a hero just because of his appearance. After all, Shouji is one of the kindest boys you know, always doing his best to look after those around him, even though he’s the youngest in his class, which you think makes him extra adorable.
Your determined gaze moves to meet his. “And, those are the only kinds of comments you’re ever gonna hear from me when it comes to your appearance and your Quirk. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. As far as I’m concerned, you only deserve compliments.”
A warm smile forms on your lips. “No matter what anyone else says, I’ll always see you as one of my adorable students, and that won’t be changing anytime soon.”
Once he gets over his surprise, his expression turns amused. “I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard anyone outside of my family use the word adorable to describe me.”
The corners of your lips lift higher. “You are definitely adorable. After all, even though you’re the tallest in the class, you’re also the youngest, so that means you’re the baby of the class. That automatically makes you adorable. Your personality just adds to the cuteness.”
With a snort, Shouji shakes his head. “I’m almost afraid to ask what you mean by that comment on my personality.”
While he may not want to hear your answer, you give it to him anyway. “I think it’s cute how you like to look out for your classmates, especially if you’re worrying over someone who’s injured. You’re really good at taking care of people.”
You wink at him. “That’s why I’m really glad you’re a part of Class 1-A. Having you around is very reassuring. I know I can count on you to keep an eye out for everyone.”
After you say that, several eyes appear on his arms much to your amusement. “Thank you. Eye promise to do my best to meet your expectations.”
Gigging, you move to pat one of his grocery laden arms. “I know you will. After all, your class is always meeting and surpassing my expectations. So, I have complete confidence in you, Shouji.”
Even though you can’t see his actual mouth because of his mask, you can definitely tell he’s smiling from the way his eyes crinkle at your words. While you always love the little grins he shows you via the mouths that appear on his arms, you really love whenever you can tell his actual mouth is smiling since you think the expression he makes is really cute.
It’s at that moment a thought comes to mind that makes you tilt your head curiously. “I never really gave it much thought before, but after our recent conversation, I’m kinda curious. Is the reason you wear that mask because you wanted to appear less scary to people?”
Noticing the way he hesitates, you quickly add, “You don’t have to give me any details or an actual answer if you don’t want to! If you’d rather not talk about it, I would totally understand!”
Shouji shakes his head. “No, it’s fine. I don’t mind telling you. To answer your question, I started wearing this mask to hide my mouth since the sight of it used to scare people. Its appearance is….different from how a person’s mouth would normally look.”
While you’re definitely curious about what he means by that, you have no plans to probe further since it’s obvious this subject makes him uncomfortable. Instead, you just say, “While I’ve never seen your actual mouth, I will say that I definitely love when you smile with it ‘cause I love the cute expression you make when you smile. Anyone who makes an expression like that must have an equally great smile, at least that’s what I think anyway.”
His eyes briefly widen at your words before eventually softening. “Thank you, Sensei.”
Soon after, a new mouth appears on one of his arms and gives you a bright grin. “You have a great smile too. It’s very encouraging. That’s why everyone always loves to see it.”
A bright smile forms on your lips. “I could say the same thing about the smiles of all my wonderful students. I’m really lucky that I get the opportunity to see so many great smiles everyday.”
Of course, Shouji is included. Even though you’ve never seen him smile with his actual mouth, you just know that it’s just as great as he is.
After all, it is the smile of a hero.

A Long Overdue Discussion
This drabble takes place after this one, so I recommend reading that first for this to completely make sense. After getting asked about this particular topic, I decided to write out the conversation that happens after the matches. There are slight spoilers to the manga like in the previous drabble which is why I tagged it as such.
I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
It’s after the party following the Class 1-A vs Class 1-B matches is in full swing that you remember the vision you had early this morning about the Midoriya and Monoma confrontation that occurred during their match.
During the match, Monoma, who had obviously copied Shinsou’s Quirk, was trying to get Midoriya to respond by taunting him. While it made sense why he went that route, you were still blown away by what the blond had said.
Rather than try to anger Midoriya by insulting him or his friends, Monoma brought up the summer camp incident and actually blamed the green haired boy and Bakugou for your kidnapping. Since he knew Bakugou was the villain’s original target, the copycat thought it was the other blond’s fault for you getting taken instead of him.
In regards to him blaming Midoriya, it was because the green haired boy was there at the time of your kidnapping. As far as Monoma was concerned, Midoriya was also responsible for your kidnapping since he failed to protect you.
Naturally, you were beyond shocked by Monoma’s words. You had no idea that he had felt that way.
The worst part of it was that Midoriya hadn’t been surprised by his opponent’s words. No, his expression made you believe he had heard them before.
That’s why, after you had warned your student about what was supposed to happen with his Quirk during the match, you asked him how Monoma had reacted to your kidnapping all those months ago. From him, you learned that after Monoma heard what happened to you he lost his cool and immediately started pinning the blame on the students who were there when you were taken, Bakugou especially.
Midoriya never held a grudge against the copycat despite all the cruel words he said that night because he knew Monoma was hurting just as much as he was. Just from looking at the 1-B student, the green haired boy could tell he was blaming himself just as much as he was blaming Bakugou and the others.
Hearing those words felt like getting punched straight in the gut. You can’t believe you were so blind.
Foolishly, you had assumed that the 1-B students hadn’t been too adversely affected by your kidnapping. Sure, you knew they had been hurt by it, but you hadn’t expected any of them to be dealing with guilt like the 1-A students who were there when you got taken.
You can’t believe you made the same mistake with Monoma as you did with Bakugou. Because you assumed the copycat was fine, he was forced to deal with that guilt all on his own.
That’s why you can’t even bring yourself to feel mad at Monoma for saying such cruel things to Midoriya because you’re too consumed with guilt. How could you have allowed this to go on for so long? How much has the copycat suffered as a result of your negligence?
Of course, now that you know the full situation, you have every intention to talk to Monoma about it. As a result, you look for an opportunity to talk to him alone during the party, wanting to address this matter as soon as possible.
An opportunity presents itself when you remember the food bowls for the cats that like to visit the dorm need to be refilled. Monoma is surprisingly very eager to lend a hand, making you wonder if he’s a cat person too.
It’s after you both finish refilling the food and water bowls that you reveal the real reason you wanted him to come outside with you. “I actually had another reason for asking you to help me, Monoma. I was hoping I could talk with you about a vision I had this morning that involved you.”
Because of the poor lighting outside, you miss the way his cheeks grow red at your words. “You had a vision about me?”
Taking in his wide eyed expression, you figure he must be surprised since it’s not often you have visions involving Class 1-B. “Yeah, it was about the matches today. To be more specific, I saw you up against Midoriya, and you were trying to use Shinsou’s Quirk on him by taunting him.”
Realization dawns his features as his expression turns horrified. “So, you heard everything I said to him?”
You nod your head. “I heard you blame him and Bakugou for what happened at the summer camp. You told him that it was their fault I got kidnapped.”
Monoma immediately averts his gaze as his right hand moves to clutch his left arm. “I…”
Your expression softens. “Monoma, I didn’t bring you out here to scold you. I’m not mad at you for what you said.”
His wide eyes quickly move to meet yours. “You’re not?”
Shaking your head, you reply, “No, rather than feel anger, all I felt was guilt especially after I asked Midoriya how you reacted to my kidnapping. He said to him it looked like you were blaming yourself just as much as you were blaming him.”
Holding his gaze, you ask, “Have you been been feeling guilty about what happened all this time, Monoma? Did you think you were somehow responsible for what happened to me that night?”
For several seconds, Monoma just stares, completely frozen, before eventually ducking his head so he won’t have to meet your gaze. “Yes. I….I did blame myself. Even though I was angry at the students who failed to stop your kidnapping, I was even more furious at myself for doing nothing to help you.”
After a brief pause, he continues, “After you brought Kouta-kun to camp, I wanted to go outside to help you since I was worried about you staying outside on your own. However, Vlad-sensei wouldn’t allow any of us to leave the building. After later hearing about your kidnapping, I began to regret not finding a way past Vlad-sensei. I started to wonder if things would’ve been different if I had gone to help you.”
A sharp pang resounds in your chest when you hear the obvious pain in his voice. “Monoma, you didn’t do anything wrong. Vlad-san was right to keep you all indoors where it was safe. In that situation, the safety of you students was most important. That’s why I ran off because I didn’t want Bakugou and Tokoyami to end up in the villains’ hands.”
When you gently place your hands on his shoulders, the startled student’s head immediately jerks up, causing his gaze to meet yours. “You were not to blame for what happened, Monoma, and neither are Bakugou, Midoriya, or any of the other students that were there when I got kidnapped. They did everything they could to save me. I got kidnapped because I willingly put myself in a dangerous position because I was willing to do anything to save my students.”
You give his shoulders a strong squeeze. “So, please don’t blame them for what happened or yourself. Nothing hurts me more than seeing you students suffer because of my mistakes.”
His expression becomes pained. “I’m sorry, Sensei. I never wanted to hurt you.”
He looks away. “To be honest, I only said those things to Midoriya because I knew he’d react to me blaming Bakugou. It’s true I blamed them originally, but after spending some time thinking it over, I realized it wasn’t rational of me to put all the blame on them. So, despite how it looked, I don’t really hold a grudge against them now.”
While it’s a relief to hear that, you still can’t forget the expression he wore in your vision. You could tell at least some of his anger was genuine. “But, deep down, you still felt a little angry toward them, didn’t you? That’s what it looked like from my point-of-view.”
Monoma twitches, proving your suspicions weren’t unfounded. “Yes, you’re right. While I stopped putting all the blame on their shoulders, I couldn’t stop myself from feeling some resentment toward them.”
The blond bows his head. “But, that was wrong of me. I’m sorry, Sensei. You shouldn’t have had to see such a pitiful sight.”
You move to pat his head. “I should be the one apologizing to you. I’m sorry for not realizing you had been hurting sooner. I knew Midoriya and the others had been guilty because they had watched me get kidnapped, but I didn’t realize other students, who weren’t there, were also feeling guilty.”
After he raises his head to look at you with surprise, you copy his earlier actions and lower your head. “I’m sorry for my negligence, Monoma. I shouldn’t have assumed that you and all the other students were fine. I should’ve checked to make sure no one else was showing signs of guilt. If I had, I could’ve helped you sooner. I’m sorry it took so long for us to have this discussion.”
“It’s not your fault!”
Surprised by his shout, you raise your head to see Monoma’s desperate expression. After meeting your gaze, he continues, “I’m just as responsible for never trying to talk to you about it, so please don’t blame yourself. It....”
He bites his lip. “It hurts to watch.”
Eventually, your surprise fades, replaced with a much softer expression. Before he can react, you pull the blond into a hug. “Okay, then from now on, how about we stop blaming ourselves and others for what happened that night? Sound good?”
The tension in his frame begins to gradually fade as he slowly moves to return the embrace. “Yeah, that sounds good to me.”
A smile forms on your lips at his words. “I’m glad.”
When you later release the younger boy, you ruffle his hair. “I also wanted to say thank you for worrying about me. While I hate how much my kidnapping hurt you, it makes me happy to hear how much you care about me. You’re very kind, Monoma.”
His cheeks turn scarlet at your words. “I...I just--I didn’t--You--”
For several seconds, Monoma stammers unintelligibly before he abruptly runs for the front door. “I have to use the restroom! Please excuse me!”
As he rushes into the dorm, you just blink before looking down at one of the nearby cats. “What’s up with him?”
Unsurprisingly, all you get is a meow for an answer. Shrugging, you decide to return to the party.
As you’re heading for the door, you notice your chest feels so much lighter after your talk with Monoma. Obviously, it’s because the guilt that had been weighing heavily on you since this morning has finally lifted.
Hopefully, Monoma feels the same way.

A Comforting Presence
Here’s that Tamaki drabble I promised. I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
Not long after your first year at UA comes to an end, Amajiki and Togata surprise you with an unexpected visit. At first, you assume it’s because they came to play with Eri since the blond often likes to come see her at the dorm and will often bring his best friend along for the fun.
While they do end up playing with the silver haired girl, that isn’t the reason for their visit. They actually came to ask you for a favor.
Now that they’ve graduated, the heroes have begun making plans to find their own apartments close to the agencies where they’ll be working. While they have managed to find places to stay, they haven’t started shopping for the proper furnishings for their new apartments.
That’s where you come in. Apparently, Amajiki wants to do some shopping while his schedule is free but doesn’t want to do it alone since it makes him nervous going to stores with large crowds and having to talk to sales clerks.
Naturally, his first solution to this problem was to ask Togata to go shopping with him. Unfortunately, the blond’s schedule is currently booked up so he can’t even though he would very much like to.
Wanting to help his best friend, Togata suggested that Amajiki ask you to go shopping with him instead since he knew the dark haired boy was comfortable around you. He even volunteered to come along with Amajiki today since he knew his friend would be too nervous to ask you himself.
Of course, you are more than happy to accept their request. While you wouldn’t consider yourself an expert when it comes to shopping for this kind of situation, you’ll do whatever you can to help the dark haired boy.
And, that’s how you find yourself at the mall with Amajiki a few days later. Unfortunately, the day you both choose to come happens to be a busy one, so there are plenty of people at the mall.
Unsurprisingly, Amajiki is not a fan of this situation. This is evident in the fact that he’s standing as close to you as he can and that there’s a slight trembling of his shoulders.
A concerned frown forms on your lips. Wanting to provide some comfort to him, you slowly move to grab his hand, making him jolt in surprise.
When his wide eyes swivel to meet yours, you give his hand a soft squeeze. “If the crowd is too much for you, we don’t have to stay, Amajiki. We could always come on a different day when we know the mall will be less busy. There’s no need to push yourself just to go shopping.”
Thankfully, soon after you tell him that, the trembling of his shoulders begins to wane before eventually completely ceasing altogether. His gaze flits this way and that before finally meeting yours. “I...I’m okay. I can handle it.”
After briefly hesitating, he averts his gaze as he quietly continues, “I need to be able to handle it. I need to get over this fear now that I’ve graduated and become a pro hero. A real hero wouldn’t be scared just because of a crowd.”
Your frown grows as you move to softly pat his head with the hand not holding his. “Being a hero doesn’t mean being fearless, Amajiki. Being nervous around strangers and crowds doesn’t make you any less of a hero. It makes you human. Everyone has fears, even heroes.”
Amajiki bites his lip. “Do...Do you, Sensei?”
The face of a man you wish you could forget briefly flashes in your mind at his question. “Yeah….I do.”
While you know he wouldn’t push you for details, you decide to give them anyway, hoping that by doing so the dark haired boy won’t feel as bad about his own fears. “I get scared whenever someone tries to push me against a wall and holds me there. That happened to me a lot when I was in the underworld, so it brings back a lot of bad memories for me.”
His eyes widen at your confession. They shine with clear pain and guilt as he meets your gaze.“I’m sorry, Sensei. I shouldn’t have asked.”
Shaking your head, you give his hand another squeeze. “It’s fine. It’s not like you pushed me to tell you, and I know you didn’t have any bad intentions when you asked. So, you don’t need to apologize, Amajiki.”
He opens and closes his mouth a few times before finally replying, “Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me.”
Your expression softens. “You’re one of the most trustworthy guys I know. That’s probably why I had such an easy time telling you about my fear.”
Red colors his cheeks as he quickly looks away. “T-Thank you very much.”
After making sure he really is okay with staying, the two of you head further into the mall to begin shopping. Thinking it might help him relax, you offer to hold his hand whenever he’s nervous, but the flustered boy quickly tells you that it won’t be necessary.
However, despite saying that, it doesn’t escape your attention whenever he occasionally moves to stand closer to you or how he sometimes lightly grabs the hem of your shirt as if worried that he’ll lose you in the crowd if he doesn’t. You find this extremely adorable but refrain from commenting on his actions since you know it’ll only embarrass him.
Fortunately, despite his earlier nervousness, Amajiki does eventually loosen up once you both start visiting stores. At first, you handle talking to all the sales clerks and asking any questions he has, but eventually, you convince him to try it out himself since you know this is something he wants to work on. Plus, you figure it might be easier on him if he has you with him for backup just in case.
As expected, the taller boy is a total bundle of nerves the first time he tries to approach a sales clerk to ask her a question, but thankfully, he manages to find one that’s incredibly patient and understanding. So, the conversation goes a lot better than he was expecting.
You make sure to give him a big smile and a head pat later to show him how proud you are of him working on conquering his fears. Unsurprisingly, this results in a lot of blushing and stuttering on his part.
A few hours into the shopping trip, you have to make a trip to the restroom. After telling Amajiki where you’re going, you leave him in the store the two of you are currently in and head for the nearest restroom.
Not long after you later exit the restroom, you find yourself regretting leaving Amajiki in the store since you find yourself accosted by three punks before you can make it back to the store. You mentally reprimand yourself for allowing yourself to get boxed in like this, with your back to the wall while the men surround you.
Considering how smoothly this happened, you figure they had planned this beforehand. Maybe they saw you enter the restroom alone and thought you’d be an easy target.
In any other situation, you’d say they were dead wrong, but unfortunately for you, they used the worst possible formation against you. While you’re thankfully not currently being pressed against the wall by any of them, it still makes you incredibly uncomfortable to be boxed in like this.
Doing your best to steady your shaky breathing and ignore your pounding heart, you narrow your eyes. “What do you want? I have someone waiting on me, so I don’t have time to waste on you.”
All three men grin while the one in the center with the green mohawk answers, “You mean that little string bean? Honestly, don’t you think you could do way better than him? A babe like you should be with a real man like me.”
All you can do is roll your eyes. “No thanks. I’m perfectly fine with the company I'm came with, and for the record, I would never choose a creep like you over a great guy like him.”
As the two guys on either side of him snicker at your dis, the green haired man scowls as he takes a step closer to you, further invading your personal space much to your distress. “You got a lot of nerve, bitch. Don’t think you can just say whatever you want and get away with it.”
In a blink, one of his hands tightly clamps down on one of your shoulders and shoves you further against the wall. Immediately, your body stiffens as your throat tightens.
Despite having learned proper breathing techniques to help in these types of situations, you’re still having an increasingly hard time catching your breath. You know you need to keep a cool head, but all you can think about right now is Mumei’s barriers and how he’d use them to slam you against hard surfaces whenever he punished you.
While you don’t remember everything about your time in the underworld, you’ve unfortunately recovered several of your memories that involved Mumei and his cruel punishments. Despite how hard you try to forget them, they continue to fly to the forefront of your mind the longer you remain pressed against the wall.
“Let her go!”
It’s the sound of a familiar voice that breaks through the fear-filled haze that had enveloped your mind. All you can do is stare with wide eyes as the man with the mohawk gets shoved back by Amajiki who places himself in between you and your assailant.
Immediately, after you’re released, you push yourself away from the wall but choose to remain behind Amajiki as you attempt to steady your breathing and stop yourself from shaking. Keeping your eyes on his back helps you since it reminds you that you’re no longer alone like you were for all those years before coming to UA.
Because his back is to you, you miss the rare, furious expression Amajiki is currently sporting. However, you definitely notice the obvious anger in his voice when he speaks. “Leave. Now.”
Much to your surprise, rather than try to pick a fight with the UA graduate like you expect, the punks nervously take a few steps backwards. Considering their initial impression of Amajiki, you wonder what kind of face he’s currently making for them to react like this to him.
After sharing a look, the green haired man and his friends run off without another word. For them to not even try to pick a fight with him proves just how much Amajiki scared them which you find incredibly surreal since intimidating is not a word you’d normally use to describe the dark haired boy.
As soon as the punks are out of sight, Amajiki immediately turns to face you. Instead of the scary glare that the other men saw, all you see are his dark eyes shining with obvious worry for you. “Are you alright, Sensei? Did they hurt you?”
Any remaining tension in your frame fades away at the sight of his concerned expression. Before you even realize what you’re doing, you find yourself hugging the startled boy.
“S-Sensei?”
The corners of your lips curve upwards at the cute, squeaky tone his voice gains at your actions. It’s hard to believe that the same voice sounded so angry and imposing just a few minutes ago.
You bury your face in his shoulder as you quietly sigh into his shirt. “Thank you for coming to my rescue, Amajiki. I’m sorry for doing this when this kind of contact usually makes you uncomfortable, but can we stay like this for a few minutes? Please?”
There’s a brief pause before his arms slowly move to return the embrace. They give you a soft squeeze. “Yeah. We can stay like this for however long you need.”
Warmth blossoms in your chest as you squeeze him tighter. “Thank you.”
Even though you could hug him longer, you decide to release him after a few minutes since the two of you are in a public place, and you don’t want to risk drawing unwanted attention since that would definitely make him uncomfortable. After you eventually release him, you notice the deep frown he’s wearing.
Before you can question him about it, Amajiki bites his lip. “I’m sorry. If I had come looking for you sooner, you wouldn’t have had to go through all that.”
Your expression softens. “It’s not your fault, Amajiki. Besides, if anything, I should be thanking you for coming to my rescue as quickly as you did since I wasn’t even gone that long.”
His cheeks turn pink as he averts his gaze. “I had a bad feeling. I thought I was just worrying too much, but I still wanted to see you just in case something was wrong.”
Smiling warmly, you move to gently ruffle his hair. “I’m glad you did. Thank you for being my hero, Amajiki. You were really cool.”
Cheeks once pink are now scarlet. The dark haired boy quickly ducks his head in an attempt to hide his face. “I-I’m glad you’re okay, Sensei. If you had gotten hurt because I failed to protect you, I…”
One of his hands moves to clutch the front of his shirt right above where his heart is. “I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself.”
Those words are muttered so quietly you barely catch them. Once they properly register in your mind, you immediately move to rest your hand above the one he’s using to clutch his shirt while your other hand softly strokes his hair. “Even if something like that had happened, it wouldn’t have been your fault. The only ones deserving of blame would be the creeps who were harassing me.”
Giving his hand a strong squeeze, you continue, “Thankfully, nothing bad happened because I had you looking out for me. It’s all thanks to you that I’m alright now, so you should raise your head and be proud of yourself, Amajiki. Don’t let thoughts of what could’ve happened diminish what did happen.”
Amajiki slowly raises his head, so he can meet your eyes. After a brief pause, he gives you a slight nod. “You’re right. In cases like this, I need to focus on the good things I accomplished rather than the mistakes I made.”
Realizing the dark haired boy is recalling the advice you gave him back in the summer, you can’t help but smile broadly. “That’s exactly right! Just keep thinking about the fact that the reason I’m smiling right now is all because of you.”
The corners of his lips curve upwards just a tad, forming the smallest but also one of the cutest smiles you’ve ever seen. The fact that there’s still a light flush coloring his cheeks just makes it all the more adorable. “I’m glad. If I can make you smile, then I know I’ve done something I can really be proud of.”
Warmth envelops your chest as you practically melt at his words. How dare this boy be so adorable. Who gave him the right?
Unable to help yourself, you give him another hug, making him squeak in surprise. “You are extremely good at making me smile, Amajiki, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. I can promise you that.”

Apprehensive
This takes place the morning after chapter 4 of @euan112358‘s fic, A Bright Celebration. I finally came up with an idea for a certain student I know y’all have been wanting to see more of ;)
I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
Considering what an exciting day you had yesterday, you had thought you’d end up sleeping in today, but that was not the case. Just goes to show that your internal alarm clock is still as strong as ever.
That’s why you’re currently in the kitchen working on breakfast for the students. Wanting to show your appreciation for them making your first birthday so amazing and unforgettable, you go all out with the breakfast preparations.
Normally, you have helpers when you make breakfast, usually the students who are always early to rise. However, you figure after all the excitement of yesterday that even those students will have a hard time waking up early today.
However, you’re soon proven wrong when a familiar voice announces his presence. “Good morning, Y/N-sensei! I see you are hard at work as always! Please allow me to lend you my assistance!”
The corners of your lips curve upwards as you turn to see Iida standing in the kitchen doorway. “Good morning, Iida. I see your internal alarm clock wasn’t affected by yesterday’s festivities either.”
He quickly moves to put on his apron. “While I did go to bed later than usual last night, I would never allow myself to oversleep on a school day. A hero must always be punctual!”
As he says that last sentence, your student does a strong chopping motion with his hand to add emphasis. Your smile grows at his actions. “Of course. I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Iida.”
And, with that, the two of you get to work preparing breakfast. Silence soon permeates the air since the two of you are so focused on cooking, but it’s a comfortable silence. So, you don’t feel the need to break it.
Much to your surprise, Iida, who usually keeps quiet when he’s cooking, decides to start up a conversation with you about fifteen minutes after his arrival. For some reason, his expression appears nervous. “Sensei, about the letter you received from my brother yesterday…”
Realizing he’s referring to the invitation to the Iida family ball, you tilt your head curiously. “Yes?”
He adjusts his glasses. “I wanted to apologize again for my brother accidentally revealing your identity to our mother. Rest assured, I made sure to properly lecture him for his carelessness.”
Your expression turns amused. “It’s really not a big deal, Iida. After all, I am the TA for your class, so it makes sense that the parents of the students would eventually find out about me.”
Iida shakes his head. “No, she already knew about your identity beforehand since I always gave detailed reports of my days at school to my parents back before I moved into the dorm. Naturally, I didn’t fail to mention that my class had a very impressive TA.”
Beaming, you immediately move to give the boy a quick hug. “Aww, Iida, you sweet talker!”
When you pull away from him, you notice the bright blush coloring his cheeks. He quickly turns away and awkwardly coughs into his fist.
Rather than tease him, you return to your cooking and give him a chance to compose himself. Once he does, the bespectacled boy continues where he left off before you hugged him. “While our mother knew about you, she was unaware of the role you played in saving my brother as well as myself. We decided to keep that a secret since, after finding out about the villains targeting you, we thought that the less that was known about you the better.”
The taller boy turns to meet your gaze. “If our parents had found out, they would’ve done everything to ensure you received the credit you deserved for saving us and would’ve spared no expense in rewarding you. However, receiving such attention from my family, which is very well known in the hero world, would’ve earned you a lot of attention from others as well which my brother and I were sure you would’ve liked to avoid.”
No wonder Iida had been so rattled when he discovered that his mother had found out about you. He had been worried that it would bring you a lot of unwanted attention. What a thoughtful boy.
Smiling, you reach over to pat his shoulder. “I appreciate you being so concerned on my behalf, Iida. While I can’t deny that receiving a lot of attention like that would definitely make me nervous, I think things would be fine if we just properly explained my situation to your parents. Surely, they’d understand.”
He quickly nods his head. “Oh, of course! My parents are both very understanding people. If you were to ask them not to publicly thank you for your grand deeds, they would respect your wishes. However…”
Noticing his hesitant expression, you give him a curious look. “However?”
After a long pause, Iida releases a deep sigh. “Do you recall my words yesterday about our mother being greatly interested in our social lives?”
When you nod your head, he pinches the bridge of his nose. “In addition to finding out about your role in saving my brother and I, my mother also discovered that you are frequently in contact with my brother. That’s how she first took an interest in you since my brother, while being an amazing hero, does not have much of a social life as far as romance is concerned since he is currently more interested in focusing on his hero work which I do not fault him for. Dedication to one’s work is an admirable quality to have.”
Another sigh escapes him. “Unfortunately, our mother doesn’t share that mindset. While she is obviously very proud of my brother for his dedication to his work, she wishes that he would take more interest in his social life. Every year she always tries to convince him to find himself a date to the Iida family ball but has never been successful.”
Once you hear that, you begin connecting the dots. “So, after finding out that he’s been in contact with me for awhile and then learning about my role in helping to save you and him, she wanted him to take me as his date to the ball. That way she could meet me for herself and ensure he actually came with a date this year. Basically, killing two birds with one stone.”
Iida hangs his head. “Yes. Words cannot describe how much regret I feel for allowing you to be put in such a position. I am truly sorry for all of this.”
Before you can reassure the younger boy, he suddenly raises his head, revealing his now determined expression. “That is why I wanted to speak with you about this. I wanted you to know that you should not feel obligated to accept the invitation. While I know you’ve already said you do not mind attending, I wanted to make sure that you truly were alright with it after hearing the whole situation. If you are having any second thoughts, please do not hesitate to tell me. I promise I will do everything in my power to ensure that you do not have to go against your will.”
A warm smile forms on your lips. “I appreciate you being so considerate of my feelings, Iida, but I really don’t mind going. I’ve never been to a ball before, so it sounds like it’d be a fun experience. Besides, I can’t blame your parents for wanting to meet me after finding out the whole situation with the Stain incident. If I were in their shoes, I’m sure I’d feel the same way.”
Appearing overcome with emotion, Iida clenches his eyes shut as he clenches one of his hands into a tight fist. “Your kindness and understanding truly know no bounds! As expected of the teacher I so greatly respect!”
Your smile grows as you move to ruffle his hair. “While I think you’re exaggerating a little there, I do appreciate the compliment.”
Returning your attention to the food you’re preparing, you ask, “So, according to Yaoyorozu, the Iida family ball is a huge deal. Does it typically involve just the members of your family, or will there be other guests like me?”
Iida makes a chopping motion with one of his hands. “While it is intended to be a family gathering, it is not unusual for my relatives to bring guests. Usually, the guest list consists of pro heroes and support item developers that either work with or are well acquainted with my relatives.”
In other words, you’ll definitely be the odd one out since you don’t fall into either of those categories. Hopefully, that won’t result in you earning a lot of unwanted attention.
At that thought, another question pops into your mind after you remember your student’s earlier words. “You mentioned how your parents would want to thank me for helping you and your brother. Do you think they’re planning on doing it publicly at the ball?”
The bespectacled boy winces, “It is....a possibility. However, I will do everything in my power to convince them not to since neither my brother nor I want you to be put in an uncomfortable position. I plan on visiting home in the near future and having a proper talk with my parents with the goal of convincing them to simply thank you in private.”
You pat his back. “I’m sure everything will work out, and I know I’ll enjoy meeting your parents since they’re obviously amazing people 'cause they’re the ones responsible for raising a wonderful kid like you.”
His expression brightens as he vigorously nods his head. “They are! My parents are both incredible people whom I greatly admire, and I couldn’t be more proud to be called their son!”
Your expression softens as Iida continues to tell you more about his parents and their many impressive accomplishments. Just from looking at him you can tell that he loves his family a great deal.
While you can’t deny feeling a little nervous about attending such a prestigious event, you’re also excited about this new experience. Plus, you’re looking forward to meeting Iida’s parents and seeing what they’re like firsthand.
Just as you think that, Iida’s nervous voice draws you out of your thoughts. “I forgot to mention one thing. While my mother is a wonderful person through and through, there is one worrisome habit that she has that I feel I must warn you about.”
Curious, you tilt your head. “What kind of habit?”
Appearing resigned, the taller boy sighs, “She’s a very enthusiastic matchmaker. She’s always going out of her way to help anyone who is single in our family find their perfect match. Naturally, that also extends to my brother and myself.”
For several seconds, you just stare at him uncomprehending, and then, understanding dawns your features after you realize what he’s insinuating. “Oh boy.”
Maybe you should be a little more worried about the Iida family ball after all.

New Test Subjects
After seeing how many votes the Kirishima & Tetsutetsu pair got in the poll, I decided to write a drabble with the pair. I’m gonna tag @mandsand whose idea inspired me to write this. Thank you for your help! <3 Also, there are references here to another drabble which you can find here, but you don’t have to read it for this one to make sense.
I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
I think I just made a grave mistake.
In your defense, this wasn’t your idea. You even tried to avoid this outcome, but unfortunately, it was completely out of your hands.
It all started when Hatsume called you over to the support studio one day after school, requesting that you help her try out some of her babies. Naturally, you were reluctant considering your past experiences with trial runs of her inventions, but telling her no has always been a hard thing for you.
As a result, after making sure the 1-A students would look after Eri while you were gone, you soon found yourself heading to the support studio. On the way there, you passed Kirishima and Tetsutetsu who were having some kind of manliness training. Honestly, you had no idea what exactly that meant, but since they looked like they were enjoying themselves, you decided not to question it.
Your original intention was to greet the boys before resuming your trek to the support studio. However, your plans quickly changed once the boys found out where you were heading.
After hearing that you were going to help Hatsume with her inventions, the two hero course students immediately volunteered to come along to help much to your surprise. Apparently, after hearing about Hatsume’s past trial runs, the boys thought it would be great training to help her test out her inventions.
Naturally, you were hesitant to go along with the idea since you knew they’d basically be volunteering themselves to be Hatsume’s test subjects. While it’s true they have the perfect Quirks to protect themselves from the usual explosions caused by her inventions, you still couldn’t help but worry about them.
Still, in the end, you allowed Kirishima and Tetsutetsu to tag along, knowing they’d eventually come see Hatsume anyway. You figured you might as well make sure you were there for the first meeting to make sure the pink haired girl didn’t get too crazy with her trial runs.
Unsurprisingly, Hatsume was absolutely ecstatic about having new test subjects. She immediately began pulling out more inventions to test since her original goal was just to get you to work with one invention.
Just as you feared, the support student didn’t hesitate to pull out the more combat-oriented inventions. It was obvious she wanted to test the fire power of her babies against the hero course students’ Quirks.
That’s why you’re currently on the sidelines watching the boys enthusiastically take on the attacks from all of Hatsume’s inventions head on. You make a mental reminder to question Power Loader later about the large amount of dangerous weapons the support student currently has at her disposal. You were understandably concerned when she said she made them for fun when you questioned her about them earlier.
At this point, considering how much the three students are enjoying themselves, the only thing you can really do is make sure things don’t go too far. That’s why you make sure they take breaks in between trial runs so the boys don’t needlessly wear themselves out.
It’s near the end of one of those breaks that Hatsume brings out a familiar-looking drone which immediately puts you on edge. Seeing your tense expression, the pink haired girl grins, “Don’t worry, Fortune Teller-san! What happened last time won’t happen again since it’s programmed to just attack you. I won’t be losing control of it, I promise!”
You give her a deadpan look. “If you think I’m going to relax after hearing that it’ll only target me, you’re wrong. I’d rather not have to deal with being chased by that thing again. It was not at all fun the first time.”
Kirishima hits his fist against his open palm. “I got an idea! Just leave everything to me and Tetsutetsu, Sensei! We’ll protect you!”
Tetsutetsu rams his fists together. “I have no idea what’s going on, but I’m with you, bro! Let’s do this!”
As the boys share a manly fist bump, you stare at them with obvious confusion. “Hold on. What are you-”
Before you can finish that sentence, Kirishima suddenly pulls you into a bridal carry, surprising you. Seeing your wide eyed expression, he grins, “Be sure to keep your head down, Sensei!”
After saying that, the redhead takes off into a sprint while a laughing Tetsutetsu runs after him. Hatsume grins as she quickly sends the drone after them.
As laser beams rain down on you and the boys, you immediately realize what your student’s plan is. Since the drone is programmed to chase you, you need to be on the move for it to be tested.
However, since you were reluctant to test out the device considering what happened last time, Kirishima thought it’d be good training to have him and Tetsutetsu use their Quirks to protect you from the drone’s laser beam attacks. Either the redhead will use his Quirk to shield you, or the grey haired boy will use his so he can intercept the attacks.
All in all, it’s a pretty solid training session for them since they have to constantly use their Quirks. Not only that, they get to practice using their Quirks to protect someone else which is always beneficial for a hero.
Of course, that doesn’t make this situation any less crazy. The fact that the boys keep grinning and laughing while releasing loud battle cries makes it even more ridiculous.
Well, at least, they’re having a good time, and thanks to them, you don’t have to worry about running for your life from the crazy drone which is another bonus. So, it’s hard for you to criticize your student’s idea since you definitely prefer this trial run over the one you had with Hatsume last time.
Just as you think that, Hatsume cheerfully shouts, “Phase One complete! Now, let’s head to Phase Two!”
You immediately get a bad feeling after hearing those words. “What is Phase Two?”
Your question is soon answered when several drones identical to the first one appear in the air, completely surrounding you and the hero course students. When you see them, your jaw drops. “Hatsume, what the hell?! Are you trying to kill us?!”
Tetsutetsu grins as he sizes up his new opponents. “Don’t worry, Sensei! We totally got this! Right, Kirishima?!”
Kirishima dons a similar grin. “Right! We won’t let any attacks hit you, Sensei!”
True to their word, the boys manage to continuously block all the attacks aimed your way despite how numerous they are. The redhead takes the job of shielding you with his body while the grey haired student starts punching as many laser beam attacks as he can in order to deflect them.
It’s honestly really impressive how well they’re doing. Even though you’re sure they must be exhausted, considering how long this trial run has been going on, they’re just as enthusiastic as ever. Their grins haven’t faltered one bit--a fact that you greatly admire since you’ve always thought that a hero’s smile was one of their most important features.
The one downside of this situation is that you’re not really contributing to this situation. It doesn’t seem right for you to allow your students to do all the work, so you decide to lend a hand and put an end to this crazy trial run.
Grinning, you activate your Quirk, allowing you to foresee the drones’ movements. Once you see how they’ll react, you pull out your water gun and fire at some of the drones during the brief moment they stop their attacks so they can recharge.
As you predicted, the drones are able to dodge like the original one. However, it looks like Hatsume hasn’t had the drones practice this feature while in a group since, when they attempt to move out of the way, the drones end up crashing into other drones, causing several of them to explode upon contact.
While Hatsume cries out in dismay, Tetsutetsu pumps his fist into the air. “That was so awesome! Nice shot, Sensei!”
Your grin grows as you repeat your earlier actions and successfully take out more of the drones. Meanwhile, Kirishima’s eyes sparkle with admiration. “So manly!”
After ruffling his hair, you pull out your sunglasses and put them on before deactivating your Quirk. Thankfully, the headache isn’t too bad since you weren’t using your Quirk for very long. “Couldn’t let you boys have all the fun. I left you guys some drones if you wanna take a crack at them.”
Both boys exchange a look before grinning. “Hell yeah!”
Since there are only a few drones left, protecting you becomes much less difficult for the hero course students. As a result, Kirishima is free to set you down, so he and Tetsutetsu can take turns playing offense and defense.
While they’re having fun with the remaining drones, you look over at Hatsume and see her pouting. “Sorry, Hatsume, but you brought this upon yourself. You were just asking for us to fight back.”
A few seconds later, the pink haired girl’s pout fades, replaced with a bright grin. “It’s fine! This just proves that my babies still have room for improvement! Thank you for pointing out what I still need to work on, Fortune Teller-san!”
As expected of Hatsume, she bounces back quickly. It’ll take a lot to keep her down. At least, the trial run was successful in showing her what she needed to work on.
The sounds of two loud battle cries have you returning your attention to the hero course students who are cheering after having taken out the last of the drones. You smile as you clap your hands. “Good job, boys. Very well done.”
Kirishima beams as he walks over to where you’re currently standing. “Thanks, Sensei! I’m really glad me and Tetsutetsu decided to come along today! This was great training! I hope you’ll take us along the next time Hatsume invites you over for more trial runs!”
Tetsutetsu nods as he grins, “I feel the same way as Kirishima! It’s been awhile since I last got this excited about after school training! My heart’s totally on fire right now!”
A grinning Hatsume gives them a thumbs-up. “Just come to the support studio whenever you want more training! I’ll be happy to put you to work for the sake of my babies!”
Shaking your head, you give the students an amused look. “Well, considering how today’s training went, I think things should be fine. Just be sure to not overdo it and don’t get too crazy, alright?”
Both boys quickly nod their heads while Hatsume excitedly rubs her hands together. “This is going to be great! Now, I have a good reason to start building the robots I recently finished blueprints for!”
While Kirishima and Tetsutetsu cheer at the news, obviously excited about their future opponents, your face pales.
Yeah, this was definitely a mistake.

In Expert Hands
After considering @luxaofhesperides‘ reply about wanting to see Sero, I got some inspiration for a drabble. It takes place during Fortune’s second year at UA. I hope y’all enjoy it! ^-^
You have a problem. It’s a small one but a problem nonetheless.
Today you had planned on going shopping for clothes to wear to the teachers’ conference you’ll be attending in a few weeks. Normally, you wear casual clothes when you’re not wearing your UA uniform, so you don’t exactly have very many outfits that you’d consider formal.
While you doubt you need to actually dress up for the conference, you still want to look presentable. After all, you and Yagi are acting as representatives for UA, so you can’t afford to show up looking unseemly.
Thankfully, while fashion has never really been your strong point, Todoroki has always been willing to help you with your shopping endeavors. And, of course, the 1-A girls are always quick to lend a hand when you need it.
Unfortunately, you forgot that Todoroki had planned on visiting his mother today, so he can’t help you. The 1-A girls aren’t an option either since they’re having a training session today with the 1-B girls.
As a result, you’ve found yourself in quite the predicament. Truthfully, you don’t have to shop today since you do still have some time before the conference.
However, your schedule is always up in the air when it comes to the students since they often like to randomly ask you to go places or to help them with assignments that sometimes take several hours for them to complete. So, you’re reluctant to put off the shopping trip when you have no plans today as compared to future Sundays where anything could happen last minute.
That’s why you’re currently trying to think of a solution to your problem while you watch Eri do some coloring with Midoriya, Kirishima, and Kouda. The answer finally hits you when Sero, Kaminari, and Mineta return after making a convenience store run.
A large grin forms on your lips as you vault over the couch you were sitting on. The three boys, who had just returned, all jump in surprise when you suddenly appear in front of them.
Before they can question your actions, your gaze focuses on Sero who freezes. “Sero! I need your help. Do you have any plans for the rest of the day?”
He does a slow blink. “Uhhh, no? Whatcha need, Sensei?”
Your grin grows as you reach for his hand and start dragging him toward the front door. “Your fashion expertise! We’re going shopping!”
“Ehhhhhhh?!”
His, Kaminari’s, and Mineta’s responses are identical and simultaneous. You can’t help but laugh when you look over your shoulder and see the dumbfounded expressions the three boys are now wearing.
Fortunately, despite his surprise, Sero shows no signs of resistance as you pull him through the front door. On your way out, you make sure to tell the boys to look after Eri while you’re gone.
It’s not until you reach UA’s front gate that you realize you’re still holding the surprisingly quiet boy’s hand. You give him a sheepish grin after you finally release it. “Sorry, I meant to let go sooner. I wasn’t pulling on you too hard, was I?”
That’s when you notice the pink tint his cheeks are currently sporting. “N-Nah, it’s fine. No big deal.”
After saying that, an awkward grin appears on his face as he rubs the back of his neck. “So, umm, you said you need help shopping? Is it ‘cause Todoroki and the girls aren’t around today?”
You nod your head. “Normally, Shouto and the girls like to go shopping with me, so I usually rely on them. Since they’re not available, I thought I’d ask for your help since you’re one of the most fashionable guys I know.”
His grin turns sheepish as he scratches his cheek. “Well, in that case, I guess I better bring my A game to meet those high expectations of yours.”
He tilts his head. “So, what kind of clothes are you looking for?”
Crossing your arms, you hum thoughtfully. “That’s the thing. I’m not entirely sure. I need clothes for the teachers’ conference I’ll be going to in a few weeks. I’m not really sure what kind of clothes teachers normally wear, but I figure I need something formal-like. I guess maybe business attire would be the best way to describe what I need?”
Sero rubs his chin. “I gotcha. I think that’s probably the way to go. You don’t need something overly formal since that’ll just make you stand out which is the last thing you need when it’s just a conference. Instead, I’d say you just need something more professional. Something cool and classy.”
The corners of your lips curve upwards. “Looks like you already have a good idea of what I should look for. I’ll be in your hands, Fashion Guru.”
With a laugh, the grinning boy gives you a thumbs up. “Leave it to me, Sensei! I’ll make sure that you’ll be the most fashionable teacher at the conference!”
True to his word, Sero goes all out in lending his assistance once you both arrive at the mall. As expected of a guy with such stylish tastes, your student knows exactly which stores to hit to find the best deals and clothes.
Since you’re seriously lacking when it comes to fashion sense, you had expected Sero to just find lots of clothes he approves of and ask you to try them on. However, instead of doing that, the dark haired boy continues to ask for your opinions on different articles of clothing. He does his best to keep you involved the whole time rather than just rely on his tastes and opinions.
Even though you would’ve been perfectly fine going along with whatever he suggested since you trust his judgment, it makes you happy to see how hard Sero is trying to find an outfit that not only looks good but also one that you’ll enjoy wearing. Since you’re not used to wearing such attire, you originally figured you’d be uncomfortable wearing them no matter what clothes you wore, but your student is doing his best to ensure you won’t have that problem.
As a result, when he’s picking out clothes for you to try on, Sero searches for outfits that suit your tastes while also having that stylish air that his clothes often exude. It takes him a little while to find some clothes that meet those requirements, but once he does, the dark haired boy is all smiles.
For good reason because Sero truly does meet and surpass your expectations. All the outfits he puts together are so professional yet not overly so. It’s like he combined your love of casual clothing and your need to look professional to find perfect outfits that fit all your needs.
Not only that, your student gave you options for skirts and pants so you can take turns wearing them each day of the conference. While pants are the easiest to move around in, it’s not often you wear skirts, so you think it’d be nice to wear one for at least one of the days you’re at the conference.
For tops, he found some nice blouses that really bring out the color of your eyes and go well with your hair. The suit jackets he found are also extremely stylish and very comfortable.
Sero comes up with the idea of you trying on each possible combination of clothes so he can take pictures. Afterwards, you can look over the clothes to see how they look from another person’s point-of-view.
What you don’t know is the dark haired boy plans on keeping all these photos so he can brag to his classmates later on. He can’t wait to see the looks on the other guys’ faces when he shows them the results of his hard work.
Unsurprisingly, you end up loving all the possible outfit combinations. However, since you don’t need all of them, you stick with just buying four outfits today since it’s a three day conference and you’d like to have an extra set of business clothes just in case.
On the way back to UA, the two of you drop by a nearby ice cream parlor, and you treat your student as thanks for all his help. During the walk back to school, you use your free arm to link with his, surprising him. “We should definitely do this again sometime, Sero. While I love shopping with Shouto and the girls, it’s also just as fun shopping with you. I had a great time today.”
A light flush colors his cheeks as he grins, “I’ll be happy to help anytime, Sensei. All you gotta do is ask. You know where to find me.”
You laugh at his response. “That’s true. One of the many upsides of staying at the 2-A dorm. I get to rely on the many talents of my amazing students.”
His grin grows. “Well, it’s only fair since we’re always relying on you and your skills.”
The corners of your lips lift higher. “I’m sure I’ll be relying on you a lot more in the new school year, Sero, so don’t hesitate to rely on me as well, alright?”
Sero gives you a hopeful look. “Does that mean you’ll help me with my homework when we get back?”
Snorting, you nod your head. “Sure thing. We can get started as soon as we get back to the dorm. The sooner it’s done, the better, right?”
He beams, “Right!”
Warmth bubbles in your chest at the sight of his bright smile. You’re always happy when you’re able to do something that evokes a response like that from one of your students.
One of your favorite things is to see your students smiling and that won’t be changing anytime soon.
