I just had a minor thought but like I've been playing hsr and it's really cute that the trailblazer (Stelle/Caelus whatever) has an idle where they're playing a mobile(?) game. Like my trailblazer makes a little sound of achievement randomly and I'm like "dang I never sound that happy when I do spiral abyss".

Anyway, the reason I'm making this post is because Silver Wolf's trailer came out and she is (famously) also a gamer. Moreso than the trailblazer, but also they've only existed for like two weeks so I won't hold that against them.

It made me think - what if the trailblazer is a combination of the stellaron hunters? Like, they're the ones who "made" them and we've all heard the "Kafka is mother" jokes. What if when the stellaron hunters programmed the trailblazer's personality, they put some of themselves into them? Or perhaps they have leftover memories from their time with them despite the amnesia, nothing concrete but some habits that they picked up.

So they got gaming from Silver Wolf, and perhaps their playful side from Kafka. Like, in the Silver Wolf trailer Kafka memes on her somewhat and then also her nicknaming Blade "Bladie" does suit the vibes the trailblazer has. Maybe the trailblazer's violent impulses come from Blade, then, since it is comical how quickly they start beating random strangers with their baseball bat.

We don't know anything about Elio but he's known as "Destiny's Slave" and that's pretty fitting. As the player character, the Trailblazer has exactly no actual free will. Sure, unlike Genshin, a lot of the different dialogue options do come with unique responses, but there's not one choice the trailblazer can actually make. This holds true from the meta "we (the player) control them" and also in-universe everything they do is predetermined. Looking at this from a fourth wall perspective does make sense since Aha (Elation) recognises its universe - that being the universe of hsr - is part of a game.

Idk, I just found this interesting. Kafka implies the trailblazer knew her before she shoved the stellaron into their chest, but since their memories are gone I do like to think that Kafka manufactured our personality by using aspects of the stellaron hunters.

is it legal to marry an autofede

[this is an ask about Armored Blade Jetkaiser lore, a work-in-progress ttrpg setting, and is subject to change]

marriage doesn't really exist as a secular institution in the Third Cycle. it's an entirely religious thing, and as autofedes are not singular entities (a full swarm of autofedes operates off of one mind, an intelligence core) or humans, they are not eligible for marriage within the Unions

while there are things similar to marriages that can be entered as secular arrangements, they notably all require citizenship papers, which are only assigned by aforementioned Unions

so to cut a long answer short, you can't really marry an autofede for the same reason you can't marry one wheel from a train. they're not sapient, sentient, nor a distinct entity

well,

this gets into a bit of an interesting note about how AI works in the Third Cycle, but because intelligence cores (henceforth ICs) assigned to control divine machinery require a human for their implantation to form a pact with, they do contain a primitive form of a brain stem developed from human foetal tissue

in the event an IC manages to develop a sense of self, if it is discovered, it lawfully must be destroyed. because azariels can be spiteful about being forced into a pact with an IC, some are known to instruct them on how to hide their newfound consciousness until a sufficient opportunity for revenge reveals itself

awakened ICs can use holy arts in the same way as Jetkaisers so long as their autofedes have blood left inside of them. an autofede swarm acting spitefully and deliberately is a pretty clear sign that something's happened with the IC. there's nothing in an IC's programming that encourages them to, for example, honour someone's request for a fair duel

this is less "AI cascade/singularity/rampancy" and more akin to a gun suddenly waking up one day and realising it's being fired. the Unions' mandates against awakened ICs are more of a reactionary social policy around the control of what counts as "life" than an attempt to prevent an AI uprising

also they don't treat ICs particularly well when using them as tools and strapping godcorpse bits to them, so it's not like they're entirely baseless in suspicions that an awakening could lead to extreme military sabotage

in this state, it's theoretically possible to form a bond with an awakening IC, and while there are no organisational bodies in the Unions that recognise the personhood of awakened ICs, you might

at this point, marrying an autofede would be a bit more conceptually similar to marrying one finger from someone's hand, though

I love all the little hints in the Prince Keith au stuff you've posted so far that Keith can, on some level, Tell That Something Is Off (having a human face before he'd ever encountered humans, feeling a strong draw to Earth he can't explain, etc) and now I'm wondering, what would happen if he met Krolia?

Excellent question!

I think he definitely feels an odd sort of draw towards Krolia, that he can't really explain. He gets an odd sense of deja vu the first time he crosses paths with her, almost like he should know her. They've obviously got no connection, but he can't really shake the feeling.

He just sort of files it away with all of the other weird stuff that's always felt sort of out of place about him. Most of the time he chalks it up to being caused by the corruption he's carried in him since birth, even though he's also just as sure that definitely doesn't explain everything. But thinking about it has never really gotten anywhere, so most of the time he just ignores it.

He'll eventually learn the truth, but that just makes things a weird sort of awkward. What kind of relationship is he supposed to have with a women who was supposed to be his mother in this universe, but wasn't? It's not like she knows him. She's Blade of Marmora anyways, and he's the son of the Galra Emperor, even if he was never meant to be.
