maybe its just me but the way lockwood says "she is" when calling lucy their secret weapon is exactly the same but also different as when bellamy says "she is" when talking about how important clarke is
I found out that Clarke and Bellamy’s actors are married irl and now I’m kinda expecting the characters to get together but I’m on season 5 and nothing has happened between them and every time I think sth’s gonna happen one of them gets into a relationship that’s not really that interesting and now I’m losing hope. They haven’t really had a chance to have romantic chemistry yet so I don’t ship them per se, I’m just kinda expecting sth to happen bc I’ve seen so much media where the mc girl and the mc guy end up together and they never stay just friends but as one of my sisters pointed out to me, “Clarke and Bellamy seem like platonic soulmates” so that could just be the extent of their relationship from what I’ve seen so far.
What really bothers me about season five is that The 100 are no longer unified as one. They used to do anything to protect one another, even if it meant committing treason against the adults.
But in season five, Clarke only looked out for Madi; Bellamy, Raven, Murphy, Monty, Harper, Emori, and Echo only protected each other; and then Octavia and Miller had the whole "You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru" BS going on.
I still love the season, but it just had a different vibe than the previous four and I hate that division.
monty and harpers stories are maybe some of my favourite in the show, just because of how their characters don’t waver in their morals.
throughout the series you slowly see everyone become less morally correct to the point where everyone is morally grey and no one is the good guy anymore. finn and octavia are the most obvious examples, but it’s shown with literally everyone, i would argue that lincoln is maybe the only other character who remains good during their time on the show.
but harper and monty just,, don’t (or at least not as far as i can remember). like sure sometimes they get mad but the only time i can remember either of them being in the wrong is when monty gives clarke and bellamy the ability to irradiate mount weather, but honestly i don’t believe that’s on him.
and as a result of them remaining ‘good’, they get one of the only happy endings on the show. they get to live their lives out together peacefully, they get to have a kid and grow old together and die a natural, peaceful death without worrying anymore. i really like the ending of season five because it’s bittersweet in the sense that two beloved characters have died but it’s also a new beginning for the rest of them and they get to see a peaceful ending for them, it’s like a source of hope for once.
obviously that almost immediately goes to shit and i don’t know if any of this actually made any sense but i like the idea of monty and harper getting the happy ending they deserve (:
