Really happy with this work. The painterly style is very nice and has good depth; the addition of the lighting on Nye is a sweet touch especially given that he’s (basically) a paladin. Roth’s expression is adorable and of course Glen’s serious expression makes me swoon because he’s so cheerful all the time, it’s easy to forget that saving the world takes a toll on any person. Would definitely commission again!

An intro to our BJD family as I inch back into this beloved hobby. This picture was taken in 2013 so some things have changed, but most of the high points are still correct. Mam’selle, Old-Vera, Dorian, Queen Bee, KOS-MOS, and Snow Miku are missing, and some present have changed quite a bit. This collection belongs to myself, @viiofswords, and @apricotsnail. We’ve been building on it since October 2006. Now we’re also waiting for a LS Daughter of Dragons, DC Ela, and Withdoll Egon, so I definitely need to re-do this when everyone gets home.

First photos with my Big Camera (Nikon D3000) in several years. I’m still re-learning wtf manual settings are, but it’s nice to work with good tools again. Boy howdy, let’s kick off the first review with one of our favorite current artists. We saw Catbat’s art and thought ‘hey, this is cool, let’s try it’ and then she BLEW OUR DAMN MINDS. Yeah it’s a sketch, but the way she added in lighting details and took notice of character stuff (like Kalli’s constant Levitation) set the bar pretty high. Her livestream was fun and welcoming, with good music too. It’s not ‘if’ we’ll commission her again- it’s ‘when.’

Look. LOOK AT THEM. Aren’t they adorable?! We’re very happy with these cuties. This artist was very easy to work with. She didn’t even question our silly screenshots and was quick to run with the romantic umbrella when we sent it with our refs. We love how she adapted to the personalities and feel of the characters! Some of my favorite chibi art that I’ve ever commissioned.
