The difference between Andrew's and Aaron’s insults is that Andrew is almost poetic about. He will put together a string of words so cruel and calculated that it ruins you as a person and makes you question everything about yourself. Andrew will fucking destroy you. Aaron, on the other hand, puts no thought into his insults, but they are just as venomous. He goes for the obvious, attacking personality and physical attributes, but he does it in a way that, even fifteen years down the line, you’re still insecure about what that little blond guy said to you at 9 am on Monday morning during biochemistry your sophomore year in college. Andrew will make you hate yourself, but Aaron will make you want to kill yourself. If they were to team up together? Well, you might as well just burn scrambled eggs in Gordon Ramsay's kitchen because you’re about to get fucked.

Sure does seem like every time a woman in media shows negative aspects of their character, the entire fandom cancels them and deems them as irrational/wild/OOC/awful/problematic.
Because, you know. Real life is so morally black and white, and people aren’t ever in a grey area or allowed to be flawed or have moments of misjudgment and weakness. You’re either good or you’re bad - that’s it.

This is more of an observation than anything else but obviously everyone is talking about how different Allison was this season, and all the stuff she did, whether or not it was justified or not, blah blah blah. I’ve seen a lot of people saying the writers did her dirty, that it came out of no where, but like. One of the things that Umbrella Academy really brings out it human nature. Arguably none of the siblings are “good people.” Yes, she acts differently this season, but with what she has lost and some of her previous behaviour, is it really such a stretch that she snapped?
I don’t agree with any of her actions, but I’m honestly more surprised more of the Umbrellas didn’t break down like she did, now and when they had lost people (Diego and Eudora, Klaus and Dave, Viktor and Sissy, etc. etc.). They are also all unstable to varying degrees, and I could see any of them doing the same, really.
It’s not that she deserved to say those things to Viktor, to murder Harlan, to r*pe Luther, because she didn’t and they were fundamentally wrong, but that it isn’t a surprise that she, or just that any one of the siblings, did. I’m sure that plenty of other people would also go crazy if in her position, especially her siblings, some of whom have anger issues, most of whom have lost someone, and all of whom are majorly fucked up already.
That being said, I do understand why the writers decided to have her in particular have a villain arc. Not only did Allison lose her husband and CHILD, she also lost her life. Before the first apocalypse, all the way back in season one, she was easily the most successful. She had wealth, a career, and seemed generally happy with her standing, giving her debatably the biggest stake in the apocalypse, where most of her siblings had little to really lose (by that I mean, they could start over, not that they had no stake). She lost all of that as well. She did horrible things as a REACTION to this, even though they were morally very wrong.
Though this was different than who she was last season, and I was sad about not being able to like/root for Allison, it’s not entirely unrealistic.
This is a very controversial topic right now so this means no harm to anyone, please let me know if you have thoughts or corrections :)

“Allison is not the evil bitch the fandom makes her out to be” and “the showrunners purposely made the one woman of color a side character until her villainess arc and screwed over her trauma in favor of the majority white siblings” are two concepts that can and should coexist

Like RCG really watched earlier seasons and went “hmm I miss this actually we should get back to these vibes again”. And then they actually really did????? Thank You Sunny Pod for your Service.
