How do you feel about Alana and Margot being called the Murder Wives? Do you think they'll continue on a killing spree after they got a taste from Mason?

YAY I LOVE QUESTIONS AND STATEMENTS!!! :D

"Murder Wives" is awesome because it just makes me picture them and Murder Husbands being besties and getting together like once a week to have dinner and chat and gossip abt murdery things. As for them killing- I actually haven't finished season 3 yet so i dont know how accurate i can be about this!! but I like to think they're a bit smarter and less literally batshit insane than hannibal and will, PLUS they have a baby. They might dabble in a little bit of killing, just to see if its something that fits for them, but i think they'd eventually settle down with their kid. They'd definetly do a bit of killing if they felt a need to (or call in a favor, yk, if hannigram lived and kept in contact... 😭), but i also think they're a bit more... mature(?) about it? They could handle a lot of things without killing and potentially complicating everything and they know it. Plus, I'm sure Margot would want to be a better influence and role model for her kid than her father and brother were to her, which probably means making sure they don't have to come into contact with that sort of stuff, which im sure Alana would back up especially as a psychiatrist. Although theres the possibility Margot could get a bit overbearing, especially because of all the "being an heir" stuff, but I'm sure Alana would balance that out too. Thats not to say they wouldn't teach them how to hold their own once their old enough, and they'd DEFINETLY be backup if the kid ever does get wrapped up in anything murdery. So all in all, sure, perhaps some killing, but no... hunting. LMK what you think about this if you want- since yeah i haven't watched a lot of season 3 yet so!!!!!! just going off what i have watched and what i've heard about it :)

・❥・It will surprise no one that we threw out the idea that Wild was Eren. BUT Twilight was decided to be Mikasa. Again, super protective, dangerous, good on their own.

・❥・Thats where we threw him. And I KNOW someone will be like? What about Sasha? He could be Sasha? IM GETTING THERE-

hellooo with your permission, i am coming back to bother you with the Indian James headcanons 🙏

assuming they're from Maharashtra and they speak Marathi (and Hindi? i'm assuming most families know more than just one language) at home, what would he call his parents? and what would they call him and each other? I've heard "jaan" a lot but I'm not sure how accurate that is and whether that works for Marathi too. are there any other endearment terms they could use? like love, sunshine, darling etc in English.

also i've been wondering if there's any exclamations/expressions etc that can be used within English speech without making it sound unnatural. like in Arabic we say "basmala/mashallah" for good luck or "inshallah" when we hope that something happens etc and it's integrated in English speech very naturally. wondering if there's anything of that sort?

Okay imma go step by step here. In India, especially where I live (Maharashtra yay hehe) it's pretty normal to know like three or more languages. I myself— plus my family— speak Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Marwadi, and even though we can't speak them we understand Punjabi and Bengali. So you assume correctly that they speak more than one language at home. Especially my family, where we know a bunch of non Indian languages as well, for business purposes.

Assuming James is Maratha, he would call his mother Aai (pronounced Aa-ee) and his father Baba (Mum and Dad). I have this headcanon that when he wants to annoy them he calls them Matoshree and Pitashree lmao (formal terms for Mother and Father in Hindi/Sanskrit).

"Jaan" means "life", and it's pretty accurate even if it's Urdu tbh, a lot of parents call their kids stuff like jaan, hayat (which you already know the meaning of), laadli (darling in Hindi), maajha baal (my baby- Marathi). If you wanted nicknames in Marathi you'll be good to go with bubdi (bubba), laadkaa or laadki (darling in masc and fem), or sonpari (golden fairy, usually for girls) and Sonu (dear, used for children).

Exclamation sounds can be "arey!" (uh-ray) which is "hey!" and "aai ga!" (aa-ee guh) which is like "oh mother!". They're just one word each, but they can be used in like 50 different situations lmao. Arey can be used for calling someone's attention ("arey come here a second will you?"), to express frustration with someone ("areyyy, why are you like this?"), exasperation ("arey yaar!" yaar is slang for friend) and a bajillion other stuff. Aai ga is used as an exclamation mark for when you're surprised, or got hurt, and in place of "oh God!". We don't have specific phrases that mean good luck or inshallah, but Urdu still uses both mashallah and inshallah so you'll be okay i think. But James probably wouldn't use them bc he's not a Muslim yk, and Hindu people usually use the name of the god they're praying on on swearing on, so there's that. We say stuff like "hay bhagwan" ("oh, Vishnu". Bhagwan is one of the innumerable names of the Lord Vishnu). Or "har har Mahadev" ("glory be to Lord Shiva". Maha-dev literally translates to Great God, but it is one of the well known names of the God of Destruction). We do use "arey deva" (oh god) as well. "Jai shree Ram"(hail to the Lord Ram) or "jai shree krishna" or "jai shree ganpati" (ganpati is what most marathi people call Lord Ganesha) is used when we're beginning something and we want to make the start auspicious. The phrases are kind of used as "may this go well and end well" ykwim? This is hard to explain I hope you get what i wanna say lol.

Floyd — sporadic. You’ll get nothing for weeks at a time and then a slew of them. Usually random shit. Him absolutely drenched w his uniform shirt all see-through putting his chest and shoulders on display (“fell in a fountain LOLOLOLOLOL”) His teeth bared in an open-mouthed grin (that’s a mer thing, you realize days later) Blood? Splattered across his cheek? Is he flexing his jaw? (“Don’t worry it’s not mine”)

Vil — ofc he posts thirst traps but DO NOT call them that. And to his credit they are very tasteful, kinda artsy; always met with droves of comments drooling over him. But he sends you special ones. It’s a testament to how much he trusts you that he sends them at all (that’s a lie. They’re charmed to delete themselves if you ever showed them to anyone else). Very oddly sensual body parts—his hand holding a flower, the corner of his eye as he’s drawing his liner, the slope of his collarbone—and sent with a cheeky little excuse for sending them. He’s not fooling you at all.

Lilia — yes he takes thirst trap pics. I don’t think I can even describe them accurately bc they r absolutely dependent on you personally. He knows exactly how best to make you lose your mind and tbh accompanies them with a caption that’s subtle enough nobody but you would get but is borderline obscene to you specifically. Yk? Yes I’ve heard mixed things about the new season and as someone who has only read six of crows and half of crooked kingdom am incredibly confused? Yes! But I’ve also heard people say that this was not meant to be an exact adaptation and that Leigh knew and was ok with that.

As a stand-alone series? It’s great. Definitely weird having some parts be so accurate to the book and then others be completely different but idk I think it’s still interesting and well done. The cast did a great job, it still keeps a lot of the same themes, and while I agree some of the crows storylines feel a little rushed (idk what they plan to do with Jesper and inej now since they’ve basically gone through their arcs) it’s still an interesting and compelling narrative that’s given us lots of great new content too.

The wesper content was wonderful and given the amount of slow burns the show already has I’m ok with it having sped up quite a bit. Plus they’re absolutely adorable and I’m always a fan of seeing healthy queer relationships and mlm relationships that are allowed to be soft and gentle and not overly aggressive and sexualized. They’re lovely and they’re both doing a great job

As a kanej enjoyer I definitely feel like we got robbed a bit with the second half of the season but again the church scene was lovely and I do love a good slow burn, the pacing of it is just. Confusing me since inej’s arc is like. Done.

But I liked it! Costume designers slayed as always, some great dialogue, lovely additional plots, I loved having some longer episodes and getting to see a little more backstory from the crows. I feel like if you treat them like two separate entities you can enjoy both more. I heard it referred to as “high budget fanfiction” and honestly I can’t complain about that yk? It knows what it is and it’s doing it pretty well, especially combining two different narratives

obvi we don't know Jake's birth time and we could rectify his chart (which could be accurate if i actually took the time to do it lol) instead we're gonna say that hypothetically he does have a libra rising (which i can see arguments for outside of simply just his looks—his MBTI. also a libra rising means he'd have been birthed sometime between 2:16 AM and 3:40 AM; I chose 3:14 AM lol)

prefacing this by saying his mars and venus are both in detriment. it just means both planets are a bit weaker than they'd be if they swapped signs, for example. it's not a bad thing,, just something that will take work lol. anyways, let me attempt to explain some things:

lemme talk about mars in the 1H. of course, i'll be using the whole sign house system for this tiny portion.

since he has a libra mars (lmao rip him) I think it just makes his features softer rather than the harsher (often sexy) visuals that come with being scorpio/mars dominant. plus in this case, mars is where it belongs in the 1H—obvi that said person is pretty especially with libra (venus) helping out a bit. i can't get too heavy on my usage of degrees in this reading (common dreamie loss), but again, hypothetically, he'd have a 19° mars (which, now that im looking at a non-rectified chart, it's the same w/o a bt, anyway). 19° is, of course, a libra degree. and that is my very simple, minimal detail explanation that Jake doesn't need his Venus to be in the 1H for those visuals to still shine through!!

to further this, in regards to aspects, he has venus conjunct his ascendant—which extends much further than just being a pretty face; i think it also shows in the way he carries himself, his personality, and how warm he is.

but now lets use ur point in him being a 1H venus (this time using placidus house system instead of whole signs)

this makes his scorpio sun, venus and mercury positioned in the 1H while his mars is positioned in the 12H. despite this, and Jake being a scorpio stellium, jake doesn't have the "signature" scorpio look* that, many obvious scorpios have (for example; minho, yuta, minghao, yugyeom—u can see it in the eyes, eyebrows and really just their aura lol)—going back to venus being in detriment under scorpio. I think his libra mars or pisces moon (!!) really softens his face.

or perhaps bc his 1H sun and mercury are at 22° (which is a capricorn degree) he doesn't have that outward scorpic appearance. an example of the opposite of this would be jaebeom from got7 who is very much a capricorn stellium in aura/presentation and speech but his scorpio placements really stick out visually (imo).

(sorry to be rambling but i need to get down to the bottom of him just...not looking like a scorpio... especially with his venus being at 0° as 0° can be perceived as the most absolute a sign can be. but alas, this is hypothetical)

*feel like this changes when he's on stage and in his element, yk.

of the smaller aspects, Jake has venus quintile jupiter. jake loves art (venus) and exploring different forms of art or even expanding (jupiter) on and/or strengthening his talents in other areas of art (like singing and dancing). this coupled with his sun square jupiter; he's very serious about his job and the things that he sets out to do. none of that half-assed shit (sun at 22° so he's especially not being half-assed when there's money involved)

bonus!!! jake has a grand trine in his chart which is v v cool (didn't notice even after looking at his chart for nearly 2 hours). a grand trine is when three planets that are in the same element form a perfect triangle in the chart (there are other nuances to this too but this post is already long). he has an air grand trine**—I think he might really enjoy mind games*** and things that call for mental stimulation rather than more physical stimulation or activities where he needs to be running around constantly. save for being an idol, obvi—basically he enjoys his alone time and time to be lazy and not do too much (that's that libra mars energy especially if it is in the 12H)

**this can be said the same for heeseung, who also has an air grand trine.

***i wanna say mind games in the non-negative, non-manipulative way but like... wouldn't be surprised if he enjoyed a lil chaos here and there(i don't think the intended purpose would be to be mean or anything like that tho)

It’s one of the most accurate adaptations out there I think. I didn’t watch it this year *le gasp* but I have a pretty good memory of it I think.

The ghost of Christmas present doesn’t wear a shirt in a lot of adaptations I’ve seen lmao he just goes out there tits out. Plus he’s magic ig? So he doesn’t need to be warm? The kids under his robe used to scare me out of my mind actually they are terrifying. Scarier than the ghost of Christmas Future. To me.

But if you’re all Christmas Carol-ed out, I get it 😅

Olá Caju! Sorry if you already answered this, but do you have any hc about Luciano's fighting style and weapon of choice?

Hi Kai! I have hcs yes, but I say it depends on the AU. Luciano can be a very versatile fighter, and he has both agility and strength on his side since he is small but also canonically (or as canonically as anything in LH can be) very strong. I say capoeira is the most obvious and frankly the most suitable style for him, though it would also be accurate to make him skilled in something like Judô that is very big in Brazil. Generally, he is good with his fists, great with his kicks, and you can always add knifes to capoeira moves to make it even more threatening. I’ve heard somewhere (and anyone fact check me if I’m wrong bc I don’t remember where I heard it) that before capoeira was a sport and when it was a mean of defense, as yk thought most of its history it was, the capoeiristas would even hold knifes on their feet. Extremely threatening. Those kicks are no joke

So knives, fists, and I also hc him to be a quite good shot (unlike martin that can’t aim to save his life). I have no historical base for this one, it’s just the vibes. Funny enough, we do have historical reasons to say he’d be good with a bow and arrow (his mom is certainly FRIGHTENING with one, there are writings saying the arrows were able to go through metal armor. Frightening!) but I don’t see Luciano much with it. But it’s still a viable option for historical, and hey it explains why he has such good aim.

If you’re going for a more fantasy setting, then i say a claymore/greatsword is his best pick. It will never not be funny to have a short dude with a large ass weapon, plus again you need strength to be able to fight with it. I say he’s not very good with normal swords, though. Either give him a huge claymore to swing around or stick with small knifes to maximize agility. No mid swords for him

#I had a rule on my pirate fic that Martin would always win a sword fight and Luciano would always win a fist fight #and also a scene where Luciano shoots a guys hat just to show off #there are also no historical bases I know of for Martin to be good with a sword #but he’s all princely and it looks good on him I rest my case

Happy first WBW of 2024! In the spirit of new beginnings, what's an element of your worldbuilding that you've gone back and tweaked several times?

I am once again talking about the magic system (it's really the only worldbuilding i HAVE so yk)

I had it all written down somewhere but it was from like a year ago so it isn't accurate. now I have a basic idea of what's going on but I've yet to write it out

There was going to be some music magic (bard coven owl house) but I didn't know how I was going to do that, then there was going to be illusion coven owl house sort of deal, but by that point I already had my main eleven characters and I didn't want to make up a whole new guy. plus giving the two not magic characters magic would've fucked up like. six different backstories and i don't have TIME for that

Dylan's magic was undecided for the whole first story up until literally the last ten chapters, and then i figured it out in the second by chapter seven. Same with Elliot's, since his is all the same as Dylan's

I also recently added an explanation for why Cass, Elliot, and Dylan can do two things while the others can only do one, as well as why Sam's isn't like any of the others.

Lily's eye color- which does directly correlate with the worldbuilding btw I'm not just bringing her up- also keeps changing. It's because she and Elliot are the only blond characters and so in my head blond hair grey eyes is for both of them. Her eyes are like. amber colored. sometimes i forget and i go to check the picrews i have and they're like seven different colors bro wtf
