Imma be real I was a bit disappointed at the Vanny is Vanessa twist because off how it got spoiled already by SteelWool and stuff but I'm fine with it now!!! But oughhh rip my old Vanny design you will be my oc now!! I think I was just bummed because they kept hinting at it and like the first human character revealed and the enemy being a furry is like huh istg if she ends up being the security guard... I think I wouldn't have mind if Ness had more screentime tbh!!

So back then I hoped Vanny was separate from Vanessa and they both had similar names so Glitchtrap wanted to frame Nessie for the murders due to it. Same with Glam Freddy and Greggy think it was Vanessa who was the bad guy at first like gasps Vanessa + Bunny = Vanny!! Also they're both fake blondes and dye their hair often!! (There's more to it but I'd end up rambling)

First time drawing textured hair digitally I hope to improve more on it in the future because oughh Vanny deserves it!!!

Alright...

So, I started working on the "Ice" doll. In my efforts to try different things anytime I do one of these, I decided to try sculpting the hair this time to achieve its cartoony-shape.

In my opinion, it turned out pretty good.

But...

It's Mario. I just made Super f*ckin Mario, which was NOT the goal here.

So I peeled it off, and I'm going back to the drawing board for his hair.

Do you also have specific brushes for different vibes or just use the same brush(es) for everything you draw?

I normally use a thick custom brush for all of my art pieces or that black pen brush I used for my latest OC drawings but sometimes I like using my old basic brushes and sketch whatever I feel like drawing at the time.

#idk #I don't always stick to just one brush for every drawing #it's my attempt and failure at escaping from my anime roots and trying new more cartoony styles #I want something more like when Disney used to experiment with 2D styles or the 2D era of DreamWorks #the villains were always the ones with more shape and body variety #I have to squeeze my brain to draw new faces and bodies that I haven't drawn before #in occasions like that a thin brush helps me define more... whatever I'm trying to do #thin brush also means more room for details #it's been so long since I've used my basic brush...
