Dear young feminists who are spreading their wings and moving into deeper theory:
There are more than two kinds of feminism. I know the two most commonly spoken about kinds on this site are liberal feminism and radical feminism, but you have choices beyond those!
There's ecofeminism, intersectional feminism, black feminism, womanism, anarcha-feminism, marxist feminism, there's feminism unique to certain countries, there's just so many schools of thought out there.
I just don't want you to think you have to become a radical feminist because you think that's your only choice.

Yes, of course- you should read "What Is To Be Done?" By Lenin.
But if you want a complete understanding of why so many of the bolsheviks had unusual relationships -- relationships that many of the modern western left would unfairly bash as "degenerate " ,"weird" and "cringe", you need to read the other "What Is To Be Done?"
Read the original novel written by Chernyshevsky in 1863.
Then, if anything about the ideas concerning relationships seems viscerally upsetting, ask yourself why? Because the book is from 1863, and has ideas ranging from "poly is OK" to "divorce should be extremely easy" to " you should knock on the door before entering your partner's room."
It is one of the few pieces of literature that Karl Marx, Lenin, Peter Kroptokin, Rosa Luxemburg and Emma Goldberg all agreed on.
That is because socialism inside the home shouldn't just be "conservative family values but hammers and sickles/ anarchy symbols painted on top".
Do your share of the laundry, respect a no, and mind your business about poly people.

xenogenders are criticized a lot for being impractical. if everyone has their own not widely known gender, people will not know what you're talking about.
that's part of the point. the more labels we have, the less power and authority western gender has over us.
xeno labels are impractical if you're still using gender to oppress and discriminate.

anarcha feminism was formulated by weaving together feminism with anarchist principles. queer anarchism was an expansion of, and further development on, anarcha feminism that integrated queer theory.
we want to do something similar with neurodivergency and plurality, ie weaving together neurodivergency and anarchist principles to create a neurodivergent centric anarchism and then further developing on it with plural positivity and a synthesis with queer anarchism to reach an ultimate goal of plural anarchism
however we have no idea of where to begin. is there even a base layer of positive, radical neurodivergent theory to spring off of? -Evi

★ At the beginning was movement: anarchism does not mean absence of order, but rather searching for a social order without an orderer. The main orderer of our established ways of thinking about politics is the state...
Tumblr media
“The majority of women are already oppressed by both the government and by men. The electoral system simply increases their oppression by introducing a third ruling group: elite women. Even if the oppression remains the same, the majority of women are still taken advantage of by the minority of women...When a few women in power dominate the majority of powerless women, unequal class differentiation is brought into existence among women. If the majority of women do not want to be controlled by men, why do they want to be controlled by women?"
Why Anarcha-Feminism? A rich reflection on “anarcha-feminism” by Chiara Bottici, followed by a recorded video of the same, as well as an earlier lecture on anarchism: https://autonomies.org/2022/03/chiara-bottici-anarchafeminism/?fbclid=IwAR3TraHYJvR-_5yQMEnbt2YpdSpWZuQ0lWHns4pNh11YO2wxGE98GtQXJj0
Hooded, dressed in black from head to toe, organised in small groups, a new generation of feminists is raising their fists in favour of the recognition of women's rights. Far from the model of the previous generation, that of the mothers of families who marched in silence, these anarchist activists who demonstrate with violence claim to be part of the "Black Bloc" movement. it’s never about the way you said it
feminist spaces will always be filled with bad actors and bad faith arguments
misogyny is fundamentally illogical, but the systems built to hold it in place have existed for millennia
women were the first “property”
the ownership of women is what lead to the development of capital/power
capital/patriarchy controls the field of debate. it controls the language we use
any actual feminist movement is a threat. language is redefined to move the field of argument away
and the backlash is always couched in the language. “we should support a woman’s right to choose… being a stay at home mother.” that must be said in response to its counterpoint, but where are the feminists arguing that women shouldn’t be allowed to be stay at home mothers? in that talk move alone, they have already redefined feminism
it is frustrating being a feminist. it is supposed to be that way

Saw this brought up on Twitter but no, women aren't emotionally free. Women are not totally free to express their emotions unlike cis guys.
They accused women of "Hysteria" and used the threat of lobotomy to keep them in check.
Being stereotyped as emotional and therefore all your emotions are seen as you overreacting isn’t the same thing as being allowed to express emotions.
It is 100% important to bring up how the patriarchy forces men to bury their mental health issues but this doesn't mean other marginalized genders are emotionally safe.
