favorite niche GOmens fanfic trope is just. Hozier. like as a character in the fic. he just listens to crowley ramble drunkenly and it goes smth like this
Crowley, at some Irish Bar, Drunkenly Slurring: And like, I ssslitherrrred alllllllll’th way from Ed’n jus’to what? Jus’to sit outside his door?
One Andrew Hozier Byrne, who unknowingly sat next to a drunk demon absolutely YEARNING for an angel, wildly scrawling into a notebook: Mhm…that’s rather sad, keep going?
(an even better addition to this is that one day crowley hears From Eden or any other song that is inevitably about crowleys love for aziraphale on the radio or smth (bonus bonus points ifs she’s still in touch w him) and goes “I TOLD HIM THAT IN CONFIDENCE-“)
JOKE-OGRAPHY:
Jesus originally just says that one of His apostles will betray him. In this cartoon, He specifies that the one who's invading His personal space is the betrayer. John and James (to Jesus's right and left) both recoil at the thought and start arguing with the others about who could betray Jesus. Meanwhile, Judas coyly says it couldn't be him. Thomas presses "X" to doubt that.
i think for me literature is about identity. the one thing all my favorite books have in common is characters that are told who they ought to be, how they should behave, what to aspire for. be it a prophecy, following their parents steps or “not wasting their potential”. and the character just can’t do that. because they don’t want to, because of their morals, because it goes against their nature, it doesn’t matter. it’s every time the same story and simultaneously is a different story every single time.
it all goes back to pinocchio wanting to be a real kid.
If I had a nickel for every time a traumatized, scary, beautiful and calculative blond character captivated me at the same time it scared me, I would have three nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened thrice.
