Massive crowds gathered in Shaoshan, Hunan, to celebrate the 130th birthday of Chinese Revolutionary Mao Zedong, with many younger attendees shouting slogans dating back to the Cultural Revolution such as "No crime in revolution!," "To rebel is justified!," "Down with capitalism, revisionism, and imperialism!," "Long Live Chairman Mao!" and singing, "The East is Red."

For thousands of years, Vietnam was able to successfully resist foreign invaders such as that of feudal China, and even the Mongols who for their time were almost unrivalled. In 1885, France successfully won against China in the Sino-French War and shortly after took Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia with it and formed “French Indochina.” Shortly after France was conquered by the Nazis, this left the French in control of Vietnam in a weak position. The Japanese took advantage of this and took Vietnam under their control. The Japanese stayed in Vietnam for a further 5 years, and during this time, Comrade Ho Chi Minh returned to Vietnam to rally the Vietnamese people for national liberation. Applying what he learned in the Soviet Union and China, he formed the “Vietnam Independence League” (Vietminh). With the help of the Americans, the Vietnamese Communists lead by Ho fought against the Japanese, and once Japan was defeated in WWII, cleaning them out of Vietnam was an easy task as they were in a weakened state. In 1946, the French came back to Vietnam to attempt to regain their colony, but after 8 years of war waged against the French colonialists, Vietnam officially defeated France in 1954, and France signed a ceasefire and officially withdrew from Vietnam. However, the battle for independence and freedom was not yet over. After the France withdrew, a puppet government was established in the South with the promise of democratic elections later on to reunite the country. However, the US knew that if these elections were carried out, the Vietnamese masses would choose communism and thus because of JFK’s theory of the domino effect, the US refused to allow democratic elections and took an active part in suppressing reunification of the country based on what the Vietnamese masses desired. The US’ military intervention in Vietnam increased drastically after the Gulk of Tonkin incident which the US claims was an “unprovoked” attack on the USS Maddox and Turner of Joy ships. Despite those on the ship eventually coming clean to President Johnson and admitting that there were no attacks, Johnson opportunistically pushed forward with the war and eventually over 200,000 American troops were deployed onto Vietnam which officially marked the beginning of the war. The Vietnamese people applied Mao’s theory of protracted people’s war to the war against the US and successfully waged a struggle that lasted roughly 16 years. On April 30, 1975, the People’s Army of Vietnam rolled tanks into the Presidential Palace of Southern Vietnam which officially ended the war. The US pulled its troops out shortly after as they realized that going up against the guerrilla warfare of the Vietnamese communists in a land that they were unfamiliar with was completely futile. At this time, homesickness was also getting to the troops and their effectiveness was declining exponentially. The country was officially reunified under the CPV. However, the post war era was not one of everyone enjoying socialism. Since Ho Chi Minh died in 1969, Le Duan who was an ardent revisionist took his place in the party. In 1986, Le Duan’s revisionist clique lead by General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, who was elected shortly after Le Duan’s death 5 months prior, launched “Doi Moi” after the 6th Congress which translates to “Renovation.” These series of reforms were very similar to Deng’s China, and pretty quickly, full on capitalist restoration had occurred. Modern Vietnam as exists today still holds onto this capitalist restoration as we’ve explained in earlier parts of this interview.

WVO Drinks lts Own Poison-Calls Jim Jones a "Victim Gone Wrong" (1979)
Tumblr media
The following was written in a Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) newspaper, “Revolution,” before their ideology degraded into the “New Synthesis” and spiraled into a personality cult surrounding Bob Avakian. This excerpt is from a larger article criticizing the Workers' Viewpoint Organization, which later became the Communist Workers' Party, a “communist” party that upheld post-Mao China as socialism.
WVO's line on China is a most blatant example of this rightism too. They will not come out publicly and denounce the revisionist leadership and uphold the four comrades, the "Gang of Four." Publicly, they uphold China as "still a socialist country." And that's it.
But even more sinister is the fact that to particular lucky individuals classified by them as "advanced and active," they will say that Hua and Teng are revisionists, they do think there was a coup d'etat, the Four were correct, even that Chou En-lai was the revisionists' back-up man.
Why is this? Because, at this time, the "advanced" are the only ones who can grasp this "demoralizing" situation without falling into cynicism and losing faith in the possibility of socialism working. Public exposure of revisionism, they say, will only fuel the bourgeoisie's propaganda, attacking the viability of socialism.
The logic of this quickly falls between your fingers like so much sand (more like quicksand). Because bourgeois propaganda is using the situation in China to tell us that socialism will never work, it must turn back to "pragmatism, down-to-earth capitalism," then our duty as communists is to cut through that with the knife of scientific analysis.
Which is exactly what the RCP has done, spreading the truth of the class struggle under socialism, how setbacks happen, how to arm ourselves against them, how to fight even harder for genuine Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and against revisionism, the "easy road," pragmatism, etc.
WVO would have the masses in the U.S. think that China is socialist (ignorance is bliss?). According to WVO, the masses won't be able to figure it out unless WVO tells them, so they're going to keep it under their hats for the right moment. This shocking depth of disdain for the masses brings us back to the People's Temple and WVO's characterization of Jim Jones.
Actually, Jones' disdain and manipulation of the People's Temple members and WVO's disdain for the working class and oppressed nationalities are very similar. The RCP's analysis of WVO in 1977 summed up, "The Religious Disorder of the Worker's Viewpoint Organization." And that's exactly what it is.
About Jones, WVO says, "Jones' brand of mysticism was misleading but not nearly as sinister as the Moonies or other crazy religions. These sects preach and openly support racism and fascism. For all its reformist practices, the People's Temple at least fights racists and fascists and attracts the support of the black and poor people. Many join because they see the group doing progressive things."
About the WVO, you could say the same thing: "For all its reformist practices, at least they're communists and they're fighting capitalism, and they attract the support of oppressed nationalities and students." BUT THAT'S EXACTLY WHY THESE "CULTS," RELIGIOUS AND REVISIONIST ALIKE, ARE SO SICKENING AND SINISTER. They do attract, for a time, honest people who want to fight the system-then they lead them down a dead-end street.
WVO's following is not going to commit suicide, but the organization is swallowing its own dogmatic poison, more and more quickly in their flip to the right. The honest forces within, and there are many, if they really desire to struggle all their lives for living socialism and the final aim of communism, if they really strive to be ruthlessly scientific to fight the bourgeoisie, will gradually be won to the genuine party of the U.S. working class the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA.

Watching all of the queer goyim talk about JKR's Holocaust denial, after months of them engaging in Holocaust inversion and Holocaust denial themselves, as well as buddying up to Nazis and echoing the Nazis' antisemitic rhetoric... it's just exhausting.
"Yes, the Holocaust is finally about you! You can erase the Jewishness of the victims and claim the mantle of Ultimate Victim!... except that the reason the Nazis burned those books, first and foremost, is because of Magnus Hirschfeld's Jewishness. Oh, yes, they would have gotten around to persecuting the Institute if he hadn't been Jewish, but they viewed transgenderism and queer identities as Jewish plots to undermine the German race, and that was why the Nazis made an enormous spectacle of burning his research. But congrats about finding a way to erase the Jews from their own genocide and make it all about you. You win the Oppression Olympics. It's really telling that you only care when you can erase Jews or hate Jews."

'You have taken the land which is rightfully ours. Years from now my people will be forced to live in mobile homes on reservations. Your people will wear cardigans, and drink highballs. We will sell our bracelets by the road sides. You will play golf and enjoy hot hors d'oeuvres. My people will have pain and degradation. Your people will have stick shifts. The gods of my tribe have spoken. They have said, "Do not trust the Pilgrims. Especially Sarah Miller."...And for all these reasons I have decided to scalp you and burn your village to the ground.'
So this Thanksgiving, may we all join Wendsaday Addams in saying:
Screw colonizers.
Screw their revisionist lies.
Screw white supremacy.
but most of all:
Stand with Indigenous communities.

My grandparents were all Holocaust survivors. A large part of my family was murdered in that genocide. I chose to deal with the family trauma by becoming an educator on this subject. I give tours, lectures and workshops on the Holocaust, on antisemitism and on Jewish history.
Intellectually, I'm perfectly aware of how the massacre that Hamas perpetrated is NOT like what the Nazis did. More Jews were murdered over the course of just two days in Babi Yar (33,771 men, women and children), which is just one Nazi shooting pit out of almost two thousand, than during the entire Israeli-Arab conflict. Even after the carnage brought on by Hamas, this is still true. The Nazis were far more systematic (which eventually made them turn industrial) in carrying out the genocide of the Jews than Hamas has been. There's no comparison in terms of scale and industrialization.
And yet emotionally, I can't help but be hit by the similarities in terms of the immediate brutality of the murderers and the experiences of the Jewish victims. Because I am listening to the testimonies and some are so eerily similar to my research, I simply can't process how these are from recent days, not 80 years ago.
Jewish kids hiding from their would be murderers, scared to make a sound for fear of being discovered and killed.
Jewish families completely wiped out.
Jews asking themselves how did they survive and the person next to them did not.
Jewish people executed in droves, their bodies piled up.
Jews begging to be spared, to no avail.
Jewish women raped, most of them then killed.
Jewish babies executed in barbaric ways.
Jews being burned, some after being murdered, some while alive.
Jewish communities devastated. Take kibbutz Be'eri for example. It was founded before the State of Israel. Despite many terrorist attacks, it has continued to thrive in Israel's south. A small, close knit agricultural community. Over 100 people (at least) have been slaughtered there. Homes were destroyed. Everything the kibbutz's economy was based on was laid to waste, too. Be'eri has become synonymous with the worst of the carnage. IDK how they'll build their lives again after the war is over. IDK if they can. A community of almost 80 years, quite likely gone.
Foreign reporters who had been to kibbutz Kfar Azza all talked about the eerie silence and the stench of death rising from the bodies. Eerie silence is exactly how visitors to the sites of the shooting pits describe those places, while the allied soldiers who liberated the Nazi camps talked about the stench of death there.
Some of the reactions to this massacre also remind me of the Holocaust. Even though the Nazis, the murderers themselves, documented their extermination of Jews, there are those who deny the Holocaust happened, painting the Jews as liars. Similarly, even though Hamas documented themselves, and released the footage themselves, there are people going around denying the atrocities, painting the Jews as liars.
Then there's the justification of the mass murder of Jews by insinuating they brought it on themselves... Back in 1943, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, aware of the plight of Jews under the Nazis, told government officials in Allied-liberated North Africa that the number of local Jews in various professions “should be definitely limited” so as to “eliminate the specific and understandable complaints which the Germans bore towards the Jews in Germany.” Understandable complaints. Understandable complaints of Germans against Jews. Roosevelt, the liberal president, said that while Jews were being exterminated by the Germans. In the same manner, we're seeing people justifying the murder of Jews at the hands of Hamas, even though it's a known antisemitic terrorist organization which has repeatedly called for the murder of all Jews in the world. According to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a reportedly Hamas affiliated Imam declared, "If the Zionist state were to move to the other end of the Mediterranean, our war would not be over, for the enemy is the Jew.
And while I stand by my statement that the scale is nothing alike, the carnage that took place in Israel IS the biggest massacre of Jews since the end of the Holocaust. Not even during Israel's Independence War and some of the massacres of Jews that happened during it (like the Kfar Etzion massacre) were this many Jews murdered during a single day.
Just like so many were silent back then as Jews were being both killed for being Jewish AND blamed for their own murder, many are silent now as well. Don't get me wrong, there are A LOT of amazing people who reached out to their Jewish friends, who showed they care, who took to the streets, who held vigils for the massacre's victims! Many heads of state also condemned this vicious attack. But I'm looking at Tumblr specifically, and it is FULL of posts justifying Hamas' slaughter of Jews. They're being reblogged everywhere, spread in every fandom. People who claim to stand for social justice feel absolutely no shame sharing such de-humanizing posts on their blogs. And what do we do? Are we calling them out? Do we make it clear that it is morally unacceptable to blame Jews for their own murder? Do we unfollow these bloggers, so that at least the dropping numbers send out the message that it is unacceptable to justify the massacre of innocent people?
TLDR:
This massacre is not like the Holocaust, but the cruel antisemitism that motivated it is the same. Let's not let antisemitism thrive here. Please do what you can (whatever that is) to stand for what's right.

The dumb, mildly fetishist "traditional wife" blogs like making posts about husbands choosing their clothes.
Throughout much of human history, WOMEN chose their husband's clothes, not the other way around.
Why? Usually, the women had made the clothes right down to weaving and colouring the fabric. Men wore the clothes their wives and mothers made for them, sewed for then, or even bought for them. They did that, and made damn sure to be happy about it, or they wore nothing at all.
That's why matching family sets of traditional folk costumes are a thing.

"In the spring of 1965, a large group of consultants from our and other departments were entrusted with the preparation of a report by the First Secretary of the Central Committee for the 20th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. We were sitting on the fifth floor in a room not far from Brezhnev's office. I was assigned to lead the group, and that is why Brezhnev's assistant [Aleksandrov-Agentov] passed on to me his request to analyze and evaluate the parallel text sent to him by Shelepin. Later, Brezhnev came out himself, shook hands with everyone and turned to me with a question:
- Well, what kind of dissertation did he send?
And the "dissertation", I must say, was serious - no more and no less than an application for a complete revision of the entire party policy of the Khrushchev period in the spirit of frank neo-Stalinism. We counted 17 points of a sharp turn of the political rudder to the old times: the restoration of Stalin's "good name"; revision of the decisions of the XX and XXII congresses; the rejection of the approved Party Program and certain guarantees fixed in it against the recurrence of the personality cult, in particular, the rejection of the rotation of personnel; the liquidation of economic councils and the return to the departmental principle of leadership, the installation of strict labor discipline to the detriment of democracy; return to the line of world revolution and rejection of the principle of peaceful coexistence as well as from the formula for a peaceful transition to socialism in the capitalist countries; restoration of friendship with Mao Zedong through complete concessions to him in regard to criticism of the cult of personality and the general strategy of the communist movement; the renewal of the former characteristics of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia as a "hotbed of revisionism and reformism " ... And much more in the same direction."

Marx with the Napoleon pose. Not a guy who would have had much love for all of the academic seat farters who claim his name today without any connection to the oppressed and exploited, let alone revolution on their mind.
This is the guy who worte:
Bourgeois revolutions, like those of the eighteenth century, storm more swiftly from success to success, their dramatic effects outdo each other, men and things seem set in sparkling diamonds, ecstasy is the order of the day – but they are short-lived, soon they have reached their zenith, and a long Katzenjammer [cat’s winge] takes hold of society before it learns to assimilate the results of its storm-and-stress period soberly. On the other hand, proletarian revolutions, like those of the nineteenth century, constantly criticize themselves, constantly interrupt themselves in their own course, return to the apparently accomplished, in order to begin anew; they deride with cruel thoroughness the half-measures, weaknesses, and paltriness of their first attempts, seem to throw down their opponents only so the latter may draw new strength from the earth and rise before them again more gigantic than ever, recoil constantly from the indefinite colossalness of their own goals – until a situation is created which makes all turning back impossible, and the conditions themselves call out:
Hic Rhodus, hic salta! [Here is the rose, here dance!]

As we have stated earlier, we do not believe modern Vietnam is socialist. Full on capitalist restoration has occurred, and in many cases as pointed out earlier, the ruling CPV has capitulated to the interests of the foreign bourgeoisie in suppressing the working class. What sort of country is socialist when the workers fear to speak out against abuses in factory? What sort of country is socialist when there are over 6 million people below the poverty line? What sort of country is socialist when for the longest time, the simplest form of working class organization, unionizing, was strictly regulated, and those who defied these regulations and rallied the working class were all arrested and their organizations liquidated under the pretext of “abusing democratic freedoms against the interests of the state”? Such a society has a resemblance closer to fascism than socialism. For western comrades who believe Vietnam is socialist, we ask that they conduct further investigation of the country before settling on such a position. Throw out your preconceived notions and look at our situation objectively. For those who hold the same position as us, please also conduct further investigation of my country in order to sharpen your critiques. Either way, we wish both types of comrades the best of luck in their future struggles.

The study of history cannot and MUST NOT be reduced to a self-congratulatory collection of revisionists, liars, despots and other corrupt, wealthy old men furiously yanking eachother off in a boardroom over the achievements of their antecedents or wherever.
Okay that sounds more like the prelude to a porno.
But still.
My point stands!
I’m condemning self-congratulatory crap like revisionism and the Great Man Theory (which I refuted as part of a thesis I did for my masters degree). And other such stupid shit like that.

WOKE politicians 'support gay CONVERSION therapy' as confused kids 'fast-tracked to STERILISATION'
Andrew Doyle: On Friday there was a heated debate in the House of Commons about conversion therapy. Emotions ran high and few were more impassioned than the conservative MP Alicia Kearns who berated Alba MP Neil Hanvey for appealing on behalf of the LGB community.
So, here's how that exchange went.
Hanvey: People in the LGB community are often referred to as bigots and transphobes and other slurs just because we have concerns about legislation such of this. And we want to make sure that young LGB people are protected. And trans people. Does she agree with me that that must apply, that rule must apply, to all sides of any debate and not just one side that she favors.
Kearns: ... absolutely right, but there was one digit missing from his LGB: LGBT. We do not divide the LGBT community in this place. You can say that you have concerns about we doing. But by removing the T, you are suggesting that transgender people do not exist. You are suggesting they are lesser than other LGB people. And I will not stand for that, because it was trans people who stood with gay people at Stonewall. It was trans people who fought alongside for LGBT rights. So, when you say LGBT, when you remove the T, you suggest that they are lesser.
Doyle: Now it's clear to me that Alicia Kearns is well intentioned and sincere, and I mean no disrespect when I say that this is a subject about which she clearly knows very little. And that is dangerous, because if she gets her way on this issue, it will set back gay rights by decades.
So, let's address some of the key misconceptions. So, firstly, Kearns claimed that Hanvey was suggesting that transgender people don't exist, and at no point did he make such a claim. Sexual orientation and the belief in gender identity are totally unrelated concepts. Kearns seems to be suggesting that gay people have no right to campaign for their interests unless they simultaneously campaign for trans people. But why? Groups such as Mermaids campaign solely for trans rights. Are they therefore homophobic? Perhaps Alicia Kerns would like to berate them in Parliament. I look forward to seeing that.
Kearns went on to say that it was trans people who stood with the gays at Stonewall. Trans people fought together for LGB rights. Did they? I mean there were some trans people involved in the struggle for gay rights, certainly. But not all that many. The activists who changed history for the better were predominantly lesbians and gay men. At the Stonewall Inn, it was mostly gay men with some lesbians and drag queens who were involved in the riots. And it was likely a lesbian, Stormé DeLarverie, who sparked the whole thing. After the police raided the bar, she was being forcibly arrested and is said to have shouted to the crowd, aren't you going to do something?
Now, some trans activists have since attempted to rewrite history, claiming that a transwoman called Marsha P. Johnson threw the first brick at the Stonewall Inn. The trouble is, Marsha P. Johnson wasn't trans. He was a drag queen. And he wasn't even there when the rioting started.
Now, if Alicia Kearns wants to know about the actual history of Stonewall, not the revisionist fabrications of activists, she could read "Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolution," by David Carter. Or, she could talk to someone who was actually there, such as the gay rights veteran Fred Sargeant.
Now let's talk about the confusion that's at the heart of this parliamentary debate. What exactly is conversion therapy? A YouGov poll last year revealed that 65% of voters believe that gay conversion therapy ought to be banned, and 62% feel the same about "trans conversion therapy." And this would suggest that most voters do not recognize the difference between the two, and nor do many politicians. Now this photograph was taken in Westminster Hall. A cross-party collective of dozens of MPs with a placard that reads, "I support a trans inclusive ban." The image was posted on Twitter by Laboir MP from Nottingham East, Nadia Whittome.
Tumblr media
In truth, and without realizing it, the these politicians are supporting a new form of gay conversion therapy, something that most of us thought would be consigned to the history books by this point. When we hear that phrase, "conversion therapy," most of our minds leap to a variety of horrific practices. So, in America, Christian fundamentalists have established programs to address the "problem" of homosexuality, there are camps where young people can "pray the gay away." Which I suppose is at least a step forward from brain surgery, castration and the kind of electric shock treatment favoured by scientific practitioners in the 20th century, or the corrective rape of lesbians to "cure" them of homosexual tendencies that still goes on in some countries.
Such practices are of course already illegal in the UK. So, why the need for a conversion therapy ban? Well, what's happening is there is a conflation of sexual orientation and gender identity and this is why so many are confused. In her book, "Time to Think," Hannah Barnes revealed that between 80 to 90% of adolescents who were referred to the Tavistock pediatric gender clinic were same-sex attracted. We've known for a long time there's a strong correlation between gender nonconformity in youth and being gay in adult life. Members at the Tavistock itself joked that, "soon there would be no gay people left." Whistleblowers revealed that homophobia was endemic. In other words, children who are likely to grow up gay are being "fixed" by medical practitioners to better conform with stereotypical heterosexual paradigms.
Barnes's research shows that the Tavistock clinic -- and this is a quote -- "ignored evidence that 97.5% of children seeking sex changes had autism, depression or other problems that might have explained their unhappiness." They are only 2% of the country's children that suffer from an autistic spectrum disorder, so why is it that 35% of referrals to the Tavistock fit into that category?
in almost all instances, children who are prescribed puberty blockers go on to cross- sex hormones, which in some cases leads to irreversible surgery. We're dealing here, overwhelmingly, with gay and autistic children fast-tracked onto a pathway to sterilization. This is what MPs such as Lloyd Russell-Moyle and Alicia Kearns and Keir Starmer are supporting. Whether they realize it or not.
Now, thankfully, more and more people are waking up to the scale of this problem. So, recently the equalities Minister Kemi Badenoch wrote to the Commons Women and Equality Select Committee about her discussions with former clinicians at the Tavistock. And the conclusion? So-called gender affirmative care amounts to what she described as, "conversion therapy for gay kids." And crucially, she cited a survey of detransitioners -- these are people who have been pressurized into transitioning and they later regret it -- in which 23% of respondents put their determination to transition down to experiences of homophobia.
Badenoch quoted a gender clinic in Germany. They said, "it must be understood that early hormone therapy may interfere with the patient's development as a homosexual. This may not be in the interests of patients who, as a result of hormone therapy, can no longer have the decisive experiences that enable them to establish a homosexual identity."
Tumblr media
It is profoundly disturbing that Starmer's Labour party is now officially supporting gay conversion therapy in the form of a ban on "trans-inclusive conversion therapy," and that he's gaining cross-party support. Now, a charitable interpretation is that Starmer, Kearns, Russell-Moyle, Whittome, all the other MPs who are supporting this, simply do not understand that they are advancing dangerously anti-gay proposals. They are supporting the new Section 28. And all the while, they think they're doing the precise opposite.
If any of these politicians would like to come on to this show and discuss these issues, I would be delighted to have them. Consider it an open invitation. In the meantime, I'd like to remind Parliament that homosexuality was removed from the World Health Organization's list of psychiatric disorders back in 1993. Being gay is not a medical condition that requires treatment. Unfortunately, activists have been remarkably successful in confusing the issues through semantic ambiguities and the redefinition of terms. And so, although it sounds desperately counterintuitive, the truth is that in order to oppose gay conversion therapy, one must be opposed to a ban on "trans conversion therapy."
