Thursday Headcanons

(not all of these are mine but I can't tell you which ones because I have a terrible memory)

-Ottawa will randomly stick herself into lockers, cupboards and other small spaces just to see if she'll fit.

-Quebec is older than Ontario.

-Officially Quebec and Ontario are older than Canada. (This was for an old headcanon I had before there was actually canon evidence to disprove this that Canada actually represented a united Canada comprised of Upper and Lower Canada, or modern-day Ontario and Quebec. The only reason this is still here is because I think they just say this so they don't have to go through the whole complicated thing of how somehow Canada (the personification) was around long before the British even noticed the lands up North, and yet somehow Quebec (the representative) still exists.)

ok gang I just need to know, what beer do you think Alfred drinks regularly?

I’m arguing PBR just cause it’s so iconically American imo more so than Coors, or Budweiser. But also maybe this is cause the version of Alfred that lives in my head rent free is has the vibes of a male manipulator who listens to dad rock and country with a sprinkling of toxic masculinity (Ik I have cursed thoughts). However I think in regards to favorite beers, Alfred is a Masshole to me so he’s gotta represent so he’s partial to a Sam Adams larger.

Also while I’m here spewing my cursed ideas, what beer do you guys think Matt drinks regularly? I think Matt’s go-to would be a Molson just cause it’s like the Canadian beer. However in terms of favorites, I think Matt is an IPA type of guy cause in my head he’s lowkey a bit of a male manipulator but in this outdoorsy Toronto hipster ass way so I think I he likes a good Amsterdam Boneshaker.

Also if you’re not a beer person, like what alcoholic drinks do you think they drink and why?

Ding-dong! The doorbell rings impatiently, and Ontario gets up to answer it. He opens the door and is met with a familiar face.

"Oh- I'll just... go and get Canada then..."

Canada steps over to the door and fixes the man there with an emotionless gaze.

"Jackson."

"Mason."

Ottawa peeks through the doorframe hopefully. "Annabel?"

Ottawa's not-quite mirror-image smirks, though not unkindly. "Amber."

Canada and his doppelganger continue to glare at each other. The polar bears at both of their feet shift, growling at each other.

"So, Jason, come to change my mind again?"

"You could say that, Macallister."

Matthew sighs, breaking the tense atmosphere. "Well, if that's the case you'll be staying awhile, considering how stubborn we both are."

The other man nods lightly. "I hope it's not too much trouble." he says, rather gruffly.

"No, of course not! Stay as long as you need, we both know there's not much that can be done until we both can mutually agree."

The other man nods again and steps inside, Ottawa's double trailing behind him.

"Alright guys. These two are Ottawa's and I's other colours, Annabel and Jake, and due to recent political events we need to have another argument so they'll be staying with us for a while. I hope that's okay Ontario?"

Ontario mumbles a "no problem" before going back to his food.
