This bizarre toy made by BRIO is supposedly a 'cat' with 'kittens.'

The 'cat' has a zipped tummy that can store up to two kittens at a time, and a kind of pocket on the chin as if it's supposed to be a puppet, but it isn't very puppet-able... Also what's with that loop arm?? The kits each make a different sound too.

I also discovered that a green and yellow snake version of this toy exists, and its babies are exactly the same little round blobs with eyes. Interesting...

Hello! I noticed you occassionally post ways to use up scrap fabric, and I thought I'd share one way I came across. A 3 months old, babies arent very skilled at holding toys for long periods of time and reaching for them, but to improve these skills, you can make toys with velcro on them and a pair of mittens to grab them with. The toys can be any shape or color and don't have to look professionally made, but you can also stuff them with leftover plastic, aluminum foil, rice, broken pet toys, or anything else that will make a fun sound when rattled to create a more enticing and enriching baby toy that will encourage them to reach and grab.

[ID: 10 plushies in various shapes and colours. Each have a strip of velcro sewn to them. Below the plushies lies a small pair of pink mittens with two strips of white velcro sewn to each.]
